big news for Quest 3 owners as Bobo VR

has just announced their new S3 Pro

headstrap s stands for super because of

the new super powerful battery 10,000

milliamp hours nearly doubles the

capacity of the old Bobo VR style

battery this is a brand new headstrap

completely designed just for the quest 3

by Bobo VR they're advertising a bunch

of new features that are integrated into

the headstrap it's still a Halo head

strap but it's got a new flatter rear

end so if you're laying back back or

sitting back it's more comfortable it's

got the hot swappable style battery

we're used to but that's a new 10,000

mAh battery with a dock that can

actually support fast charging and up to

20 WS charging on the side you can see

there's a new digital readout screen

that actually shows you what the battery

percentage is at so anyone outside the

headset can easily monitor it but inside

the headset there will also be audio

cues when the battery is low so you know

when it needs to be swapped keep in mind

out there this is all news directly from

Bobo VR I don't have the strap yet

although it's been confirmed it has been

shipped there will will be a full review

coming but everything we're going on

right now is only Bobo vr's information

we haven't been able to verify any of it

ourselves yet on the Halo piece of the

headstrap you'll notice something new

here that is a new integrated fan to

help keep you cool and fog free while

you're playing and this fan doesn't just

have high low or off like the old F2 fan

it actually has a knob on the side of

the headstrap lets you adjust this from

0o to 100% power if you're hearing this

news and your instant reactions oh I

already bought the M3 what am I going to

do there is actually some options

between discounts and some swappable

parts for current customers that are

coming we'll talk about that more in the

next news piece since the original

launch of the first Bobo VR head straps

one thing that's been divisive are the

top knobs that are behind the forehead

pad and on this model they're actually

going to be removable for people who

don't feel like they need or like them

and want to just rely on that forehead

cushion itself it's going to still

include the swappable honeycomb pads

we're all used to in case you prefer

those in the back it really seems like

Bo VR has taken everything they've

learned over years of making these

straps and brought it all into to one

which I'm pretty excited about price is

looking at $90 us for this thing to

launch that price could vary around the

world as we've seen on Amazon with other

products they always do if pre-orders

have opened and you're interested in

pre-ordering I will leave a link down in

want to do that if you already bought an

M3 and you're outside the return window

there will be options to actually

contact Bobo and get the discount on

this new one but if you want to hold out

we have one of these coming we're going

to be reviewing this for you as soon as

we can get it and get through all the

testing there's a lot on this headstrap

which I'm really excited to test and

review for of you but let me know in the

about this were you one of the people

who was struggling to get an M3 because

of all the stock issues everyone was

buying them up are you going to switch

over to the S3 now but there is

upgradeable options if you are an M3

owner so let's talk about that there are

different options for you out there one

of which is a B100 upgrade kit which is

launching this quarter as well this

swaps out the battery doc and gives you

the new 10,000 mAh battery but that new

dock that's also capable of the 20 W

fast charging and this is compatible

with any previous Bobo VR strap that's

still available whether that's the M2

the M1 the mini basically that same

three- screw design where you can

unscrew the rear Dock and replace it

with this new one this will also enable

you to use the new supercharging dock

that's coming out for these new

batteries that can actually charge one

of these batteries from 0 to 80% in one

hour Bobo is advertising that you can

even get that cyclical charge cycle that

we're used to with them even now with

just one of these batteries it would be

kind of annoying cuz you wouldn't be hot

swapping the batteries like we're used

to but you could essentially run the

battery down that would charge up the

quest enough that you could switch the

battery over the dock get that back up

to 80% and put it back on and

continually use the headset even with

one battery granted you'd also be going

back and forth between having the

counterweight of the battery and not

having It ultimately I feel like two

batteries is going to be the way to go

but it's interesting that that's

possible so that means anyone who

already has a strap can move forward or

if you bought a strap and you really

want this new strap between the battery

dock the new fan the digital readout on

the side you can submit any proof to

Bobo VR and get a 20% discount on the

whole new head strap so that way

returning customers get a better deal

instead of having to pay full price all

over again I think it's been really cool

to see how Bobo VR has tried to do this

with keeping the modular designs to

where you can upgrade their old straps

and they're saying this new strap will

be forwards compatible with anything

else they make too so that you can

continue to carry forward Parts again

just like we've seen how the M2 from The

Quest 2 mov to the M3 as I mentioned

before everything we're going off of and

Reporting on here is Bobo vr's new

announcements so keep in mind when I get

this in we'll do a full review for you

we'll test all this out and give you all

the details hopefully here in the coming

weeks as this is coming last but not

I think it's really exciting to see

they've designed something for this I've

only got to see this myself this week so

it is a bit of a surprise to me and

probably to a lot of you out there

especially if you just got an M3 you're

going to be like a come on so if you did

games on your quest well now could be

the time a new application called Citra

VR has launched this delivers native

Nintendo 3DS emulation directly on the

quest this is from the same Creator as

airlink Amanda Watson this is an open

source Nintendo emulator but it is not

available on applab or of course not on

the main store this is a bit more

details something you'd have to install

by going through side quest or GitHub

this allows you to actually play

original Nintendo 3DS games in the 3D

you were able to play on 3DS but now

utilizing VR to make that

three-dimensional this still does not

put you inside the games of course this

is putting a large screen in front of

you letting you play them that way

technically they are calling this an

educational resource for VR developers

and saying that to do this properly

you'd have to put the games in through a

hacked 3DS granted there are plenty of

Gamers who are probably going to obtain

the ROMs a different way ways we can't

really talk about in this video but this

is a big deal for emulators who are

wanting to bring back their old games

re-experience that 3D game through the

medium of VR it's out now now but if you

want to get it on and you've never

sideloaded something before you'll

probably want to look up a few guides on

how to sideload onto your quest the word

metaverse isn't completely dead as we

see it coming up again as Porsche

Partners up with meta to start making

presentations about their cars that

actually utilize Quest 3s in metaverse

style presentations they talk about how

in the current automotive industry there

are things like PowerPoints that are

being very outdated being replaced by

Quest 3s being used for presentations to

be able to show upcoming vehicles in an

actual 3D environment this isn't unusual

for VR and cars as we've seen designing

and modeling cars has been changed a lot

by the virtual world with this new

partnership Porsche is actually allowing

people in to attend these presentations

with multiple people walking around the

same virtual objects it's early in this

partnership but it's going to be really

interesting to see what this brings as

far as the world of VR and hopefully

they'll start allowing some of these

presentations to actually be publicly

seen by people who are interested in

seeing their cars up closer Disney is

working on a VR treadmill that is not

only something like the Ready Player one

omnidirectional treadmill but even more

like a Star Trek Hollow deck because

this would allow multiple users to walk

on it at the same time in the same space

and yet none of them would ever be

getting any closer to each other they

would just see in their VR headsets

their own world moving around them they

call this the hollow tile and in the

demonstration you can see a really

amazing set of features here it's like a

bunch of little roller tiles that are

keeping the person in position no matter

which way they try to choose to move and

it can keep them in one spot they

mentioned the casee use for VR the other

possible uses even if you had this on a

stage or dancers could be doing

different types of dances and still

staying in one place on the stage we've

seen a lot of other VR treadmills even

one that I have here that I'm testing

but something like this that can have

multiple people walking on at the same

time with nothing holding onto their

waist or holding them in place it really

opens up some future possibilities to

some cool Hol deck like experiences what

do you think about this though do you

think you'd be able to balance on it

stand okay on it it's really interesting

to see how he's moving but it definitely

looks like it's still an early prototype

and even looks a little unstable when he

has his eyes fully uncovered versus

someone who is only in a virtual world

not to mention what falling and trying

to catch yourself could do with your

fingers possibly going in between the

tiles still very exciting to see a step

forward like this though Apple Vision

Pro pre-orders started and sold out

within a few hours now there's a lot of

different news articles out there that

are going to say these are selling like

hot cakes but something to keep in mind

that's important about this figure is

that if the 100,000 supposed number of

vision Pros were what were actually

available at launch it's it's not

surprising that they sold out that

quickly apple is used to selling

millions of their iPhones at each launch

often setting new records every time

they've done it but a Vision Pro really

has such a limited stock of only 100,000

Apple had to expect that this thing was

going to sell out instantly the first

pre-orders were saying they were going

to ship on February 2nd as planned but

within a few hours of launch the

shipping dates were already pushed

several weeks out indicating they had

sold out of their initial stock

alongside PR is finally opening it means

we finally got a full list of all the

specs of the Apple Vision Pro and

despite some of the rumors and what

people are thinking there is not

different variables of ram that can

change the price but there is different

hard drive sizes there's a great full

list of specs over on upload VR I'll

leave a link to that down in the

comments and description in case you

really want to review all the specs

you're seeing here on the screen but

basically they're starting at 3500 meant

the base model which has 256 GB of

storage if you want to upgrade to a 512

you looking at $3,700 when a terabyte is

going to push you all the way up to

$3,900 on the Apple Vision Pro with that

also launching we get to finally see

what all accessories are going to be

available from Apple in the beginning we

see the battery at

$199 a pro travel case that's $200 for

the official case not surprising I guess

with how much the headset costs but

that's a lot for a case a

$49 battery holder from belcon that lets

you put the battery on your waist or on

your belt some replacements for the

original parts like seals and bands and

of course their Zeiss Optical lenses

which do vary in price depending on how

strong your prescription is from 99 to1

$50 and with all that happening there's

questions what apps are coming what

games are coming and there's actually a

guided tour video if you want to see

some of the features they highlighting

of it I'll leave a link to that video as

well but it talks about what all they're

showing people inside the headset how

they can do different experiences that

kind of break through that mixed reality

of the screen and come into the room

with you but Apple was saying that there

was going to be a ton of applications

available although those are a lot of

them 2D ones from the phone version that

will just basically work directly on the

Vision Pro one that's interesting though

Netflix has basic said there is not

going to be a vision OS app and that if

people want to use Netflix on their

Vision Pro they need to just open up a

web browser to do it which is odd

because we've seen Netflix has an app

even on Quest that you can sit in a

Netflix environment see some Netflix

merch on the walls around and watch

shows at least as far as gaming goes we

know there's a bit more coming rec room

was confirmed to be coming The Vision

Pro we're seeing some screenshots now of

super fruit ninja that actually shows

what spatial gaming is going to look

like on the Vision Pro unlike previous

Fruit Ninja VR games this one will be

using your actual hands to slice instead

these screenshots you're seeing on

screen also give us some potential look

into what the pass through is going to

look like although obviously until these

headsets actually end up in homes we're

not going to get a clear view and until

you can get your eyes in one you're

really not going to know if we ever get

our eyes in one are any of you out there

someone who actually pre-ordered one let

interview you after you get it on the

channel we reported before that the

vario arrow which is a high-end pcvr

headset even often seen as a successor

to the valve index dropped its price

this last fall from 2,000 down to 1,000

well unfortunately now we know why this

was actually a clearance to try and get

rid of the last of their stock and now

they are no longer developing the arrow

this was a surprise move to a lot of

flight Sim enthusiasts and racing

enthusiasts who all rely on the Arrow as

Wario's only consumer friendly headset

to be their main and most clear headset

Mario is saying now that there will be

limited quantities remaining available

from select resellers and it will

continue to support the headset itself

with bug fixes and security updates

until the end of 2025 but this is the

end of their consumer friendly line for

now they recently launched their new xr4

headset which is considered an

Enterprise headset starting at about

$4,000 so this means that there really

isn't any consumer friendly vario

headset left we're seeing pimax trying

to set up stage and take care of that

high-end pcvr spot but it seems like

more and more we're seeing pcvr get

edged out how do you feel about this are

you a pcvr user do you just use your

quest on your PC sometimes or are you

someone that's playing completely

Standalone or on psvr it seems like PC

really pioneered the way for VR but now

as more and more is moving to Standalone

we will see less and less PC support I

had no idea this was coming I'm pretty

shocked about it honestly but I'd love

to know how you're feeling out there

another week a lot of great news

especially for Quest users and we're

only weeks away from people getting

Vision Pros in their hands I can't wait

to start seeing the reviews on those

unfortunately it looks like we probably

won't be reviewing one anytime soon but

hopefully we can get our eyes in one at

a convention or something at some point

and tell you a little bit about it then
