Transcripts

play00:00

- There's a site called Plug Tech,

play00:01

which promises premium refurbished electronics,

play00:04

but they've gone viral for something

play00:06

that I don't think is necessarily a good thing.

play00:08

- That the phones are fully functional,

play00:10

we did clean and sanitize them.

play00:11

And after that, - Wait, wait, wait,

play00:12

wait, wait, hold on, hold, pause, pause, pause, pause.

play00:14

Did they just say that they clean

play00:15

and sanitize by taking a toothbrush

play00:17

and wiping off the bottom of 40 phones at once?

play00:20

We eating good tonight (laughs).

play00:23

We can see they've got iPhones, Androids, Macs, iPads.

play00:25

I mean all the stuff that you would sort of expect.

play00:27

"Discover the thrill of surprise

play00:29

and fantastic value with Plug mystery boxes.

play00:31

Your ultimate source for certified pre-owned tech

play00:34

at unbeatable discounts."

play00:35

My dudes, are you putting MacBooks and iPhones

play00:38

in mystery boxes?

play00:40

Did you just create Austin Evans bait?

play00:42

So the $100 mystery box contains an iPad,

play00:46

AirPods, iPhone, or Apple Watch,

play00:48

all of which are $99 or more in value.

play00:50

So they're saying that by spending a hundred dollars,

play00:53

you're gonna get between a hundred and $150 worth of value.

play00:56

Dude, there's zero shot here,

play00:58

that they have 1400 reviews,

play01:01

all of which are five star, like bro.

play01:04

So let me see here, so let's just pick an iPhone 11, sure.

play01:07

The condition is Eco-friendly.

play01:09

What the (whips) is that?

play01:10

That's not a condition Plug Tech.

play01:12

Eco-friendly, is that mean bad?

play01:14

'Cause I think what you're trying to say is bad,

play01:16

but you misspelled bad as Eco-friendly.

play01:18

So brand new, which I don't think they sell that,

play01:21

excellent, is like new.

play01:23

Makes sense.

play01:24

Good, will have one to two visible scratches

play01:27

and Eco-friendly.

play01:28

"This condition phone will have visible scratches

play01:30

and maybe some dents,

play01:31

a case will cover up the imperfections".

play01:34

It's like I'm dead inside,

play01:36

but this shirt covers up my feelings.

play01:38

So with that, my friends, let me press the order button

play01:41

and we're gonna take a closer look to see,

play01:43

is Plug Tech the hottest thing since sliced bread,

play01:46

or am I gonna be eating nothing but toast

play01:49

as they've taken all my money

play01:50

and I've gotten some mediocre electronics in return?

play01:53

Only one way to find out.

play01:54

And so my friends, we have a surprisingly small box,

play01:58

full of tech from Plug Tech.

play02:00

I am low key excited for this video in a way

play02:03

that I have not been in a while.

play02:05

Look, since we recorded the ordering scene,

play02:08

we ordered all this stuff.

play02:09

Not only have they been sending me lots and lots of emails,

play02:12

but I've been watching more of their shorts

play02:14

and I can't quite put my finger on it,

play02:16

but they're almost kind of like, charming?

play02:18

All right, so we have a bunch of boxes.

play02:22

Okay.

play02:24

They're not labeled, they're just,

play02:26

well I think this is gonna be a laptop.

play02:28

But everything else, I have absolutely no idea

play02:30

which one is which.

play02:31

So we purchased every single mystery box from Plug Tech.

play02:34

So all of these items could be quite literally anything.

play02:38

Plug Tech box number one is an iPad.

play02:43

Okay, well I think that that's from the iPad mystery box.

play02:45

I could figured that one out on my own.

play02:47

Mom, aren't you proud?

play02:49

So on the back it looks pretty decent.

play02:51

And on the front it also looks,

play02:53

well, there's a kind of deepish scratch right here,

play02:56

but relatively clean I would say.

play02:58

I'm curious with, especially with the mystery boxes,

play03:01

on what kind of condition we're getting.

play03:03

Because my assumption is that they only build mystery boxes

play03:07

of stuff that's like a little bit lower quality.

play03:08

You know, there's just stuff you're trying to get rid of,

play03:10

but this actually looks quite nice.

play03:14

Can you tell me what the listing said

play03:16

my iPad mystery box could have contained?

play03:18

- [Alex] Yes.

play03:19

So it could have been either a 9.7 inch,

play03:23

- Which I got. - Or a 10.2 inch

play03:25

iPad sixth gen.

play03:27

- Oh, gotcha, okay,

play03:28

so basically you could have got the,

play03:30

older iPad or the newer iPad.

play03:32

Okay.

play03:33

So it has been actually wiped.

play03:34

So we know that that's ready to go.

play03:37

This screen is in good shape.

play03:38

I'm not seeing any dead pixels,

play03:39

but sort of a small scratch, very good condition.

play03:42

So I'm gonna set that up in a minute,

play03:43

but let me just see what else we've got in here

play03:45

because it's, it comes with headphones?

play03:48

Oh, it does come with headphones.

play03:49

It did say that in the listing, didn't it?

play03:50

- [Alex] Yes, it's supposed to come

play03:51

with London Urbanista wireless headphones.

play03:55

- So these are headphones that exist.

play03:58

I'm gonna guess that these are probably like $10,

play04:02

$20 headphones, but whatever.

play04:03

It's nice that those are included.

play04:04

- [Alex] I mean they claim $50 value.

play04:07

- Well you know what?

play04:08

That's fine.

play04:09

We also have a actual, is this a,

play04:11

oh it's a Plug, wow, wait, hold on.

play04:13

This is actually a Plug Tech branded USB-C.

play04:16

They clearly must be a relatively large company

play04:20

to be able to actually like custom design

play04:21

or at least custom like silk screen chargers and whatnot.

play04:24

So we've got our iPad set up,

play04:26

and if I hop into the About page, we do see

play04:28

that it is a sixth generation iPad.

play04:31

What's not nice is the fact that it's in great condition,

play04:34

but sixth gen means it came out in 2019?

play04:39

- 18. - 2018.

play04:41

So the problem here is

play04:43

that while this is currently fully supported on iPad OS 17,

play04:46

how many more years of updates it's gonna get

play04:48

with two gigs RAM in an Apple A10, eh, remains to be seen.

play04:52

So before we go too in depth on that,

play04:53

let me actually try our London headphones

play04:55

and we can give the iPad a proper go.

play04:57

London noise canceling, our Urbanistas,

play05:01

which actually I'll say the case feels nice,

play05:04

it's gonna get scuffed up really fast,

play05:05

but it's kinda like that soft touch material.

play05:07

It is USB-C, and we got some,

play05:10

wait, is that the Squarespace logo?

play05:13

That's the Squarespace logo.

play05:14

Oh god, are the headphones dead outta the box?

play05:16

The headphones are dead outta the box.

play05:18

My dudes.

play05:19

So update it has been almost 20 minutes of waiting

play05:22

for these headphones to charge

play05:23

and they still do not do anything besides blink at me.

play05:26

I've tried restarting the iPad,

play05:29

I've tried to check on other devices,

play05:31

they just aren't showing up.

play05:32

- [Alex] If you look on Amazon,

play05:33

you can get the exact ones

play05:35

that you're holding right now for $17 on Amazon.

play05:38

- So lemme get this straight.

play05:39

We spent $200 on this mystery box.

play05:42

We got an iPad, which according to Plug Tech is worth 180,

play05:45

but realistically is worth more like 130.

play05:48

We got a pair of $50 headphones according to Plug Tech,

play05:50

which are really worth $17 on amazon.com,

play05:53

and a fast charger, which is worth another

play05:54

like 10 bucks or something.

play05:55

I would still save like 50 bucks

play05:57

by not buying the mystery box.

play05:58

This is not a super promising start,

play06:01

but we have lots of other mystery boxes,

play06:02

which I'm sure will be much, much better.

play06:04

In box number two, we have,

play06:09

a, oh god, no, no, not...

play06:13

(Alex laughing)

play06:19

What is this box?

play06:20

Okay, so lemme try to figure this out.

play06:21

So I've got another pair

play06:22

of the exact same $17 London headphones.

play06:25

I've got a USB-C to Lighting fast charger,

play06:28

which is exactly what came with the iPad,

play06:30

and I've got a Pop Socket.

play06:33

What? Is this the $50 mystery box?

play06:35

Oh god, this is the $50 mystery box, isn't it?

play06:38

I am part of the hashtag plugfam.

play06:41

Yes, that's all I got in this box,

play06:43

'cause I'll tell you, I'm looking at 17,

play06:46

27, $30 worth of value, tops,

play06:49

if I actually wanted this stuff, which I don't.

play06:51

- [Alex] It does not explicitly match up

play06:54

with any of the mystery boxes that we got.

play06:57

For reference, the $50 mystery box

play07:01

- Yeah. - Includes at least

play07:03

a Beats, AirPods, Apple Pencil, Magic Mouse or head-

play07:07

- Oh. - Wait, it says headphones.

play07:08

Is that? - This is headphones.

play07:10

- That's so - This is a $50 mystery box.

play07:13

Oh god.

play07:15

You know all that stuff I said about,

play07:17

oh, I'm feeling good about Plug Tech?

play07:18

Yeah (censored) that.

play07:19

That's not, oh god.

play07:20

Go to box number three (sniggers).

play07:25

A phone, okay, well hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.

play07:29

We got a phone.

play07:31

Now what other boxes could have given me a phone?

play07:33

Let's see.

play07:34

- [Alex] Multiple boxes can give you a phone.

play07:36

- Well that's great.

play07:37

I have yet another Pop Socket,

play07:38

they're a really big fan of these Pop Sockets.

play07:40

Let's see, it is a Galaxy S20.

play07:44

That's the worst one that could have come

play07:46

in the Samsung box I think, right?

play07:47

'Cause I think it could have been a Z Flip

play07:49

or an S21 or the S20.

play07:51

Quality wise, it's actually kind of (censored) up, wow.

play07:55

So at first glance it looks fine,

play07:57

but if you look here in the center,

play07:58

there's a bunch of little like marks.

play08:00

Now at first it looks like dirt or something,

play08:02

but I don't think it is.

play08:03

I think there's a bunch of little scratches.

play08:05

What looks to me, is that this is a phone

play08:07

that got like some dirt in the case.

play08:08

I dunno if you've ever done this before,

play08:09

but if you had like a little dirt in your case,

play08:11

kinda like rubs it in like some sand or whatever.

play08:14

So I can feel that all those little marks are permanent.

play08:16

That being said, it's fine.

play08:17

And if I can give them any props here,

play08:19

this is the best colorway of a Samsung phone

play08:22

that they may have ever done.

play08:23

The S20 and the violet or lilac or whatever

play08:26

and the gold camera, like screen looks to be very dirty.

play08:30

So clearly not sanitized and cleaned well

play08:32

'cause it is absolutely filthy,

play08:34

but I'm not seeing any real scratches on it.

play08:36

So I've just finished setting up the device

play08:38

and I was actually wrong.

play08:39

This is not a Galaxy S20, it's an S21.

play08:42

Even though they look almost the same,

play08:43

I should remember that because I used to use that

play08:45

and then I forgot, huh.

play08:47

Anyway, okay, so apologies Plug Tech.

play08:49

This is not the worst phone I could have got.

play08:52

It's the second worst, but hey, that's something.

play08:54

It is a 128 gig phone.

play08:56

The only other thing is it's got a lot

play08:58

of AT&T bloatware on it.

play09:00

And it also has asked me on several occasions

play09:03

to insert my AT&T SIM card.

play09:05

I unfortunately don't have a SIM card

play09:06

'cause mine's on eSIM, so I can't actually test

play09:09

to see if it's unlocked right now.

play09:11

I would hope that it is.

play09:12

You probably could find a way of doing it.

play09:14

That would be the only concern I've got.

play09:16

Let's actually make sure everything works fine.

play09:18

- [Voice From Phone] Also, like how they advertise free

play09:20

- That speaker sounds a little weird to me.

play09:22

Like it almost seems like it's been like a little

play09:23

like clapped out.

play09:25

All right, I'm gonna take a 64 megapixel selfie.

play09:27

Is everyone ready?

play09:28

Ah, ah!

play09:29

No, no, no!

play09:32

There we go, that's better, I like that one much more.

play09:34

All right, let's see here.

play09:35

Cameras seem to be fine.

play09:37

How much did I pay for the Samsung mystery box?

play09:39

We'll start there.

play09:40

- [Alex] So this is actually

play09:41

the most expensive mystery box they sell, for $300.

play09:49

- This was 300?

play09:49

I forgot that this was $300. - Yeah.

play09:50

- Okay. - This was $300

play09:52

- And I could have got Z Flip out of it,

play09:53

which would've made me feel much better, but I didn't.

play09:55

- [Alex] Yeah, you could have gotten up to

play09:56

an S22, which would've been actually quite a good deal

play09:59

for that. - An S22 is worth more

play10:00

than 300 bucks, yeah,

play10:01

the fact that you could buy this exact same phone

play10:04

with a warranty from eBay for almost two thirds the price

play10:07

that we paid and we could have gotten a worse phone,

play10:11

I mean I like my little Pop Socket, don't get me wrong.

play10:13

And I love this colorway, but big yikes.

play10:17

Let me take a break from mystery boxes.

play10:18

Let me go for an item that I do know what it is,

play10:20

which is this large box right here.

play10:23

Inside we have, our 12 inch.

play10:29

Okay, it's scratched right on the freaking Apple logo.

play10:31

(Alex laughing)

play10:32

This is our 12 inch MacBook.

play10:35

It's not terrible. So if you look at the Apple logo,

play10:39

the first thing I immediately see is just this,

play10:40

scratch right across the middle.

play10:42

The rest of it's actually not too bad on the outside.

play10:46

On the bottom it does have some scratches,

play10:47

but that's kind of normal for the bottom of a laptop.

play10:50

Now I will say I am a little partial to this 12 inch.

play10:54

This is, to this day, one of the thinnest and nicest looking

play10:59

and feeling laptops ever made.

play11:01

They brought out the 12 inch MacBook in 2015,

play11:04

9 years ago, they brought a laptop this thin

play11:07

and have not made something smaller since.

play11:10

But it's a little guy with a couple,

play11:12

I'd say three major flaws.

play11:14

First of which is the keyboard.

play11:17

Let me demonstrate for you the butterfly keyboard in action.

play11:21

(keyboard clicking)

play11:23

I actually didn't hate the butterfly keyboard,

play11:25

but it was prone to failure.

play11:27

And there's very little key travel.

play11:29

Flaw number two, this has a single USB-C port.

play11:34

That's it.

play11:35

There's a single USB-C port and technically

play11:36

on the other side you have a headphone jack.

play11:38

That is all.

play11:39

The biggest flaw with this MacBook,

play11:41

and the one that really keeps it from being useful today,

play11:45

is the processor.

play11:47

These used Intel Core M CPUs.

play11:51

Now Intel had a long history of working together

play11:53

really well with Apple, before Apple Silicon and stuff.

play11:56

And they actually designed this custom for the MacBook.

play11:59

Now I'm actually curious to see when I fired it up, I...

play12:01

(MacBook startup tone)

play12:02

There we go, it's coming up.

play12:04

I'm curious to see what the spec of this one is.

play12:06

We got ourselves a USB-C to C cable.

play12:09

And a very chunky power brick,

play12:12

which is always, you know what?

play12:12

It's mostly hollow though, which doesn't make me feel great.

play12:15

So they gave us a sleeve.

play12:16

Lovely, Plug Tech, cool, 14 inch.

play12:22

(Austin laughs)

play12:25

Wait, wait, wait.

play12:26

Lemme put this in here.

play12:27

This is, okay, first of all,

play12:28

it's like a cheapy kind of like basic neoprene sleeve.

play12:32

But like you put your 12 inch MacBook in here,

play12:35

you zip it up, (laughs)

play12:38

it, yeah, you know what?

play12:40

The MacBook smelled delightful.

play12:42

This smells like the inside of a Nike factory.

play12:44

(MacBook rattling)

play12:46

So let's see what we're working with.

play12:48

So it is currently running Mac OS Monterey.

play12:51

So that's Mac OS 12, so that's two generations behind.

play12:55

Oh boy, yeah, okay, so it's a 2016 model, which is fine.

play12:58

306 cycles.

play12:59

So that is a pretty well used battery,

play13:02

but that should still hold a decent charge.

play13:04

It's just slow.

play13:05

Like here, I'm gonna load up the channel.

play13:06

I'm gonna show you how slow this can be.

play13:08

We're gonna keep loading YouTube.

play13:10

There we go.

play13:11

Okay, it's coming.

play13:15

Not terrible.

play13:16

- [Austin On Video] This video is sponsored by Acronis.

play13:18

- And the speakers are actually not bad.

play13:20

This one's tough.

play13:20

How much did I pay for my gold 2016 MacBook?

play13:26

- [Alex] Well, we did pay for the highest quality.

play13:28

So this is the best case scenario, excellent condition,

play13:32

for $310.

play13:36

- Okay, excellent condition,

play13:38

ah, I think I can give it to them.

play13:41

Once you lose the capacity for charge

play13:45

with this particular battery, it is,

play13:48

I'm not gonna say impossible,

play13:49

but real difficult to replace. Let me actually open this up.

play13:53

It's actually a really cool design on the inside.

play13:54

There you go, all right.

play13:56

So this is what's inside our MacBook.

play13:59

I'm gonna very carefully do this

play13:59

'cause I don't wanna yank out our cables.

play14:01

You see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 batteries.

play14:04

Not only are these very, very difficult to take out

play14:07

because they're glued, but they're also terraced,

play14:09

which is a technology that Apple gave up

play14:11

because it was so expensive,

play14:12

basically there's like different little layers to each cell.

play14:15

It is incredibly complicated.

play14:17

But you can see the entire motherboard is incredibly small.

play14:20

And keep in mind, this is a computer

play14:21

that originally came out in 2015.

play14:23

So there's a lot of stuff here that's very exciting.

play14:25

Excellent condition, I agree, and it's a pretty fair price.

play14:29

It's not really much more expensive

play14:31

than getting another one of these on eBay.

play14:32

So out the items so far, mystery box

play14:35

is a little hit or miss,

play14:36

actually buying the item that you want, thumbs up.

play14:39

Let's take a trip back to the mystery zone,

play14:43

with this very well packaged item,

play14:47

inside we've got, oh my god, it's a Pop Socket,

play14:50

and a charger, and a case, and I assume an iPhone.

play14:55

Okay, well they are nothing if not consistent.

play14:58

So this is our iPhone 11 Pro.

play15:02

- [Alex] We got this in Eco-friendly condition,

play15:05

what they call Eco-friendly.

play15:06

- What most people call Garbo town, this is Eco-friendly.

play15:10

Okay.

play15:13

Doesn't look terrible.

play15:14

Some scratches around the side but not, not nothing crazy.

play15:18

It also has a screen protector on it,

play15:20

which I do think they mentioned

play15:21

that they were gonna pre-apply

play15:22

one of the screen protectors.

play15:23

- [Alex] That is correct.

play15:24

Pre-installed screen protector.

play15:25

- This is not bad.

play15:27

The probably the worst scuffing is right here

play15:30

where the charge port is.

play15:31

But again, that is all very cosmetic.

play15:33

Nothing that would actually cause a problem.

play15:34

And we do have a Plug branded case, which is lovely.

play15:38

Boy, they just, they really want you to live that Plug life.

play15:42

Alright, so let's see what we're working with here.

play15:45

So this is an iPhone 11 Pro.

play15:47

It is on iOS 17.

play15:48

So this is still fully supported.

play15:50

It's a 64 gigabyte phone, which is fine.

play15:52

That was the base model.

play15:53

Let's check the battery,

play15:54

'cause the battery would be the thing

play15:56

that I'm a little concerned about.

play15:57

93%, that's actually pretty good.

play16:00

'Cause the iPhone 11 Pro came out in,

play16:02

2019?

play16:05

No, 2018, 2020?

play16:07

2019. 2019.

play16:09

What's up?

play16:10

Totally fine, totally fine.

play16:14

Let's try the cameras.

play16:15

I am seeing no reason why this is Eco-friendly.

play16:18

Really, it is not a problem at all.

play16:20

All right Ken, we're now recording in 4K

play16:23

on the iPhone 11 Pro.

play16:24

Where are your glasses, my dude?

play16:26

- Well, in order to try Apple Vision Pro,

play16:29

I got contacts because we were too late

play16:31

in ordering our lenses.

play16:33

- How much was our iPhone 11 Pro starter pack?

play16:37

- [Alex] $380 for the Eco-friendly condition.

play16:43

- What would an iPhone 11 Pro in like decent

play16:47

or fair condition run for a 64 gig phone

play16:49

if I was not buying it from Plug Tech?

play16:51

- [Alex] It's like around $280.

play16:54

- So I'm paying a hundred dollars more for the accessory.

play16:56

Ah, I don't know if I can trust the fact

play17:00

that this was really worth what we paid for it though.

play17:03

I think it's a little hard to justify,

play17:06

but at least it wasn't a mystery box (laughs).

play17:09

Time for another mystery box.

play17:11

I got a bunch more of these things.

play17:12

I'm sure they're gonna be filled with nothing

play17:15

but happy, joyous things,

play17:16

like the feeling you get when you hit

play17:18

the subscribe button on the Austin Evans channel.

play17:20

Not quite as good as the feeling you get

play17:21

when you hit the ring-a-ling of the ding-a-ling.

play17:24

But you know, you can only ring-a-ling

play17:25

the ding-a-ling so many times

play17:26

before it loses all meaning

play17:27

and no longer fills that hole in your heart.

play17:31

Anyway, (clears throat) inside we have,

play17:35

I have my 75th fast charge kit,

play17:38

and another damn Pop Socket.

play17:41

Oh they're Beats with another, okay my dudes.

play17:44

How many of these, these are all the same.

play17:47

I have so many Lightning to USB-C cables

play17:51

and 20 watt fast chargers.

play17:53

Okay, so I've got two 20 watt chargers,

play17:56

two USB-C to Lightning cables,

play17:58

another Pop Socket, and a pair of Beats.

play18:01

What are even Beats are these?

play18:02

They're the USB-Cs.

play18:03

Are these Power Beats?

play18:05

Yes, these are Power Beats.

play18:07

- [Alex] Okay, then that makes us,

play18:08

that's the headphones mystery box.

play18:11

Woo. - Yay.

play18:14

I'll tell you, there's no accessories

play18:15

and importantly no fresh tips.

play18:18

- Oh. - So I don't know

play18:20

if these are used tips or not. - Oh gross.

play18:22

- But I don't have another option for them.

play18:24

They look clean.

play18:26

(Austin sniffs)

play18:27

Smells clean.

play18:27

Oh my god, are these dead too?

play18:29

Bro, how does everything that they sell me

play18:32

end up deader than the feelings I had in 1997?

play18:37

I think these Power Beats are outfitted

play18:39

with some one of the Apple, was it H1 or whatever?

play18:43

W1, like it's one of the like chips

play18:44

that should help me pair it.

play18:45

Okay, transparency?

play18:46

They sound decent.

play18:48

And noise cancellation.

play18:50

The noise cancellation is not very strong.

play18:52

How much are these, if I buy them new right now?

play18:53

- If you buy them brand new, - Yeah.

play18:56

- [Alex] It's 200 bucks.

play18:58

(Austin laughs)

play18:58

- No.

play18:59

- Okay, so this is a hundred dollar box

play19:01

of headphone stuff, right? - That is correct.

play19:03

It was basically Beats headphones.

play19:06

They don't specify what kind. - Yeah, yup.

play19:07

- [Alex] So maybe it could have been different Beats.

play19:09

Who knows? - Yup.

play19:10

- [Alex] Or AirPods.

play19:11

- Okay, I would definitely have prefered AirPods.

play19:13

I'll be honest with you.

play19:14

How much could I buy Beats Fit Pro for?

play19:16

'Cause I'm gonna guess, less than a hundred bucks.

play19:19

- Actually - No, really?

play19:21

- Surprisingly - What?

play19:23

- If you get it refurbished from Best Buy,

play19:25

which is excellent condition, whatever,

play19:26

- Yeah. - It's like 110 bucks, so.

play19:28

- So I actually got an okay deal.

play19:29

- Yeah. - And I also got

play19:31

another Pop Socket.

play19:32

- [Alex] I mean it depends on like, would you call

play19:33

that excellent condition or-

play19:35

- I would say it's, I wish I had the ear tips.

play19:38

But here's the thing, technically yes,

play19:40

if you want these specific headphones, sure.

play19:42

But you could spend 30 bucks

play19:44

and get headphones that are pretty much as good.

play19:46

So I have two boxes here.

play19:49

Now we started looking through the listings

play19:52

of what we purchased.

play19:53

The problem is is that if we got

play19:56

the lowest end items on both of these boxes,

play19:59

they might be the same.

play20:01

So let's just open them up

play20:02

and see if we can figure out what's what.

play20:04

And if I get one more Pop Socket, fast charger,

play20:08

or London headphones, I'm gonna be real grumpy.

play20:12

- [Ken] Okay, but I need a Pop Socket.

play20:16

- [Alex] Boy do we have

play20:19

- These are not even real.

play20:20

- [Austin] And there's another one on the S21.

play20:21

- Oh my god. - I bet I'm about to hear,

play20:23

I'll open this box and I'll give you another one.

play20:24

3, 2, 1...

play20:29

- [Ken] Wait, what?

play20:30

What's that look?

play20:31

Are they, are you, are you okay?

play20:34

(all laughing)

play20:36

- [Alex] Oh my god.

play20:40

Oh my god.

play20:41

(all laughing)

play20:44

That's not a damn mystery box,

play20:45

it just has chargers (laughs).

play20:49

Are these all the same?

play20:51

Are these all Lightning?

play20:52

Lightning one, Lightning two, Lightning three.

play20:55

They're all the exact same (laughs).

play21:00

Is this our a hundred dollar mystery box?

play21:02

It's gotta be, right? - No, no.

play21:04

- I don't - So here's the thing,

play21:06

if this is a $50 box

play21:07

and the other one was a hundred,

play21:08

then that's even worse 'cause that other box was awful.

play21:11

But like-

play21:12

- [Ken] Dude you, even Gotcha Games give you something

play21:14

for free after you - Something different.

play21:17

Alright, this is our last box.

play21:19

Plug Tech you got one shot to redeem yourself.

play21:22

Oh my god, I don't even.

play21:23

- [Alex] I'm honestly kind of speechless.

play21:25

- Well, okay, hold on, wait, wait, wait.

play21:27

We have another Pop Socket,

play21:28

but we have an Apple Watch charger and two mysterious boxes.

play21:32

Now hold on, we might actually have something here.

play21:36

(boxes rattling)

play21:42

- Okay. - Okay.

play21:43

One of these has gotta be an Apple Watch, right?

play21:46

Oh, it's an Apple Watch.

play21:47

Well, no, no, no, it's good though, it's good.

play21:48

- Yeah. - An Apple Watch.

play21:50

Yeah, we did it.

play21:51

Wait, which one?

play21:52

Apple Watch series five.

play21:55

- Oh, that's not bad. - 44 mil.

play21:57

- The other thing I will mention is

play21:58

that this watch band is fake.

play22:01

Not that I really should be surprised,

play22:03

but it is thin - Ooh!

play22:04

- Compare it to your, - Yeah, yeah.

play22:07

And also has no text on it.

play22:09

So they bought, yeah, you're a fake band,

play22:11

which to be fair looks almost exact same,

play22:12

but it is, feels a little different.

play22:14

That's a good point.

play22:15

So they have a watch,

play22:16

and I'll say that the watch is in okay shape,

play22:19

but it's got a fair few scratches.

play22:20

Like especially right here.

play22:21

A lot of like sort of hairline scratches.

play22:24

Oh my god, we finally got AirPods.

play22:26

- Yeah, boy. - Hey, yo, what the

play22:29

- So assembled in Vietnam.

play22:30

So these are gonna be newer.

play22:32

They've got Lightning on them.

play22:33

Oh, they're the older school AirPods.

play22:35

AirPods second gen.

play22:36

It actually the only box that says anything.

play22:38

- Oh, oh it is second gen. - Excellent condition,

play22:40

AirPods second gen, and they're dead as well.

play22:43

How is every item I got from a company

play22:46

who sells nothing but chargers, dead?

play22:49

Why would you not have some charge on your own stuff?

play22:52

So I'm gonna charge the AirPods, which is, angry as I am,

play22:57

are in excellent condition.

play22:58

Like these are essentially new looking.

play23:02

(Austin sniffs)

play23:02

It smells new, no concerns there.

play23:04

Apple Watch functions, AirPods are fine.

play23:06

But look, do you even care?

play23:08

I think if you've watched this video at this point,
