As I told you, this video doesn't have a review of any one TV

but I will show you some TVs in between

so that you can understand the point that I am explaining to you.

I have divided this video into 6 sections

If you think that you want to buy a good TV and for that you really need help,

then you will have to watch this video carefully.

But before starting, let me tell you one thing very clearly

that brands do their marketing very well to show that their budget TV

is much better than high-end established brands and is available at a very low cost.

But this is not true.

You don't have to get stuck in marketing.

You have to buy a good TV according to your room and according to your needs.

And this is what I am going to show you in this video.

What is the most important thing in a TV? Panel.

Because that panel shows you good or bad picture quality.

There are primarily two types of panels.

One is IPS and the other is VA.

You should buy an IPS panel when there is a lot of natural light in your room.

The very good property of that panel is that in a bright room,

it will show less black colors as well as more deep blacks

and you will see black, not dark grey.

After buying an IPS panel TV,

you should buy a Faux light at a cost of Rs. 400-500.

If you switch on that Faux light with the TV, the dark grey colors you see

will not be dark grey, but black.

This is a very good optical illusion trick

that's why you should buy it with an IPS panel TV.

A VA panel TV will also be easily available in the market.

A VA panel TV will show you the deepest blacks,

but you will not get good viewing angles.

When you move to the side of the TV,

you will not see the same colors and brightness

as you will see in front of the TV.

You can get this in an IPS panel.

In an IPS panel, you will get the best viewing angles,

but in a VA panel, the contrast and colors you will get will not be in an IPS panel.

This is how you should think before buying a TV.

If you want to watch TV from the front, then you should buy a VA panel TV.

But if you want to watch TV from the side

or if there is more light in your room, then you should buy an IPS panel TV.

You must have seen that in every TV's True View,

I show you the brightness by testing it.

This is a basic parameter to judge the picture quality of any TV.

But is that the only thing to understand

the capability of a TV or its picture quality?

No, not really.

Brightness ranges from 300 nits to 700-800 nits

which are the normal commonly available TVs.

But this brightness is not the only parameter to judge the picture quality.

The brightness of a Sony TV is 500 nits or 450 nits

and the brightness of a budget brand is 450 nits,

it is impossible to have the same picture quality between them,

because Sony's color optimization is the best.

The colors that are optimized like red, green, and blue

which are the basic three colors,

the details that you will see in the darkness or in the shadows,

you will not be able to see that in a budget brand TV of 450 nits.

This is the biggest parameter.

As a reviewer, both are equally important for me.

The brightness is good and the color optimization and HDR

are also good is equally important.

After thinking and understanding this you should buy the right TV.

You must have heard of HDR10, HDR10+,

HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ. What are these?

These are HDR or High Dynamic Range Video Formats.

If all these are supported in a TV

will its picture quality be very good?

Not exactly.

Because if you are getting support of HDR10 and Dolby Vision in a ₹25,000 TV

will its picture quality be the same

as that of a very good established brand TV of ₹80,000?

Not at all.

Again, it boils down to two things.

The peak HDR brightness and the color optimization.

These are the two main things.

You don't have to go to paper specs.

If you want to go to picture quality

then you have to see its color optimization and its peak HDR brightness

and you have to understand

how many natural colors you can see from that panel.

After seeing this you will enjoy the picture quality

and you will like any type of content on your TV.

You will enjoy watching TV

and your family and you will enjoy it together.

Keep this in mind.

Don't go to paper specs that it has HDR10, Dolby Vision and this and that.

That's not important at all.

There are a lot of gaming consoles available in the market

like PS5, Xbox X and you get gaming capabilities up to 120Hz.

That's why many of you would want

to get a TV with 120Hz and 144Hz refresh rate

and a panel with which we can do better gaming

and that is very very good.

But do you really need it? You have to think about it.

You have to think about it yourself

that do you have that gaming console that has a 120Hz gaming support,

and has a 120Hz game that you can install in that console and play on your TV

and you will be able to use all its capabilities

or do you have a 60Hz game that you can play on any TV

that has an HDMI 2.1 eARC port and has an auto low latency mode

that you can play on.

Do you need a proper gaming TV that has a lot of gaming capabilities

but the picture quality is not that good?

Do you need it or not?

You have to decide it yourself.

Not at all.

You should buy a good TV in which the picture quality

should be your top and the only priority

because you can enhance the audio of any average audio-quality TV

by installing a sound bar.

The amount of money you will give for the soundbar in that TV

you will get a very good soundbar for the same amount of money

because of which you will be able to use that soundbar very well

and its audio quality will be much better

than the built-in sound bar speakers.

You have to evaluate yourself that what are your requirements.

Every brand will say that their product is the best in the world

but do you have the capacity to buy all the good products in the world

or do you have this much space for so many TVs in your room

or can you buy all the best things?

You have to understand this yourself.

If you buy a TV of any brand, you get a warranty of 1 year to 3 years

Many brands give a warranty of 4 years, that is very very good.

What do you basically need a warranty on?

You need a warranty on the panel

and if you are getting a good warranty on that panel

for 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, then that is very very good.

But often people's concern

that I get to hear in the comment section is that,

is the warranty of a budget brand so good?

Will this budget brand which is a licensee of some other brand

be able to give a good warranty?

Won't an established brand give a better warranty than that?

I will tell you everything crystal clear.

Whether it is a budget brand or an established brand,

when you get a warranty for all of them when you buy a TV

then that brand never gives you a warranty.

That brand has already sold its warranty to other service partners

who handle the warranty of your TV.

Now it depends whether you are sitting in Kapurthala

or in Kanpur or in Bangalore or in a remote area in a village.

Your service provider has to provide service to you,

not Sony, Hisense, TCL, VU, Samsung, or LG.

The difference in the warranty packages of the established and budget brands

is like some insurance plans.

If you buy insurance from the same company

The established brands pay a little more money to their service provider
