we're here on the show floor and we're

about to talk with the team at Port Keys

about cine Norm it's a software update

coming to a bunch of your monitors as I

understand it right yes that is correct

we've been working on this uh software

for a little while now we've been

working really hard with feedback from

our customers and uh we are improving

the usability the ease of use uh just

everything about the software is vastly

improved uh we have it here at NAB so

we've been demoing it a lot the big deal

about this software is that we've been

listening to our customers uh we've been

getting a lot of feedback and we've been

putting that feedback into the software

well let's tell everyone exactly which

monitors onwards I guess that cine form

will work for just so everybody knows so

everything from like 20 yeah break it

down for us so so basically the the more

the most concrete information I have

right now is the bm5

W4 the DM the bm5 wrr4 and the bm54 are

our new models that are coming up that's

going to have the new software our

hs7 uh 2DS which we have here that's

going to also be able to get the upgrade

uh the bm5 W R3 is also going to be able

to get uh the update as well so a lot of

the current models are going to be able

to get the update okay very cool I

hopefully that covers one of the

monitors you might have for Port keys at

home now before we go into a demo here

can you tell me just at a high level

some of the software uh upgrades we're

seeing with C form sure so the biggest I

think difference that customers will see

is the software is a lot more visually

responsive in and what I mean by that is

you can get visual cues of what the

monitor is doing or what you want the

monitor to do so an example is when

you're in the camera connection menu you

know you get the option for Wi-Fi you

click on that you see a little picture

that shows you know your camera in the

Monitor and icon telling you that it's

connecting and lets you know when it's

connected uh the same thing for when

you're uh setting your shortcuts for

your software features you know you can

choose peaking false color and all that

but it also gives you a little

description of what those features do

for those that may not be aware so you

know we can't just have icons without

you know giving people a little bit of a

visual cue of what those icons do very

cool okay well um let's launch and do a

bit of a demo here okay sounds good

let's do it okay so the way you get into

the menu is you just tap the screen and

then you're going to notice right away

everything looks completely different

than before uh to your left hand side

you have quick access to the monitor's

brightness as you can see there you also

can tap on the little light bulb and

control the fan uh speed as well so you

can you have quick access to that as

well uh right below that you see a

picture of a chain link connection so

you click on that and then you got the

different types of connections the the

monitor can handle like Wi-Fi Bluetooth

wired connection and also for the the

Tilted motor MERS so if you click on

Wi-Fi just as a quick example you can

see that we have the kodo connected to

it and it's listed as one of our devices

so you can have multiple devices and

connect to them whenever you're using

those devices uh from there if you look

on your right hand side you're going to

see our shortcuts for our software

features you can always flick and get

more features uh shortcut it there you

can put as many as you want the first

four that you see on the list are going

to be also mapped to your physical hard

buttons here on the top for those that

that prefer that if you want to add more

feat fees to the shortcut bar here you

can press the plus button and then if

you click on monitor functions you're

going to see the different functions

that the monitor supports with a small

little description on the bottom and

also with the picture of the icon that

represents that uh that feature so if I

get out of that now you can see also if

you press the little question mark

button you're going to get uh the word

of what the software feature actually

does so you don't have to rely on the

icon uh so it's very clear very easy for

the people to see that now let's say for

instance you have have one of the

features enabled and you want more

options uh within that feature so you

can just click this little icon down

here and you get whatever options are

available uh changes you can do uh for

that feature uh one cool thing that you

can see right away on this particular uh

setup here is that we're connected to

the red Komodo here and the little bars

at the top and bottom you can see what

options we have available to to control

uh just really quickly I can do the uh

the iso as well as you can see there it

adjusted it uh right away and everything

you see at the top and bottom there is

what we can control on this particular

camera including the record button there

on the right okay thank you for that
