Transcripts
gracious fathers once again we come
calling that Holy and everlasting name
father God we come this morning with
praise in our hearts because you've been
so good to us all we thank you Lord for
our last night's lying down this
morning's early rising and for allowing
us to see a brand new day father God we
pray Lord that as we go through this day
that everything we say and do will bring
glory and honor to thee father we love
you we praise you and we ask Lord that
you would just take control and teach
this lesson in the way that you'd have
it to go we love you And We Praise You
In Jesus Holy Name we do pray
amen this morning is a very very
interesting lesson and the title of it
Jesus authority over demons but as
Diggin Spurlock normally does he does a
quick review and you remember last week
we daughter dealt with Jesus first
miracle and he as well as us we like to
go to wedding we like to celebrate
people's unions and a situation arose
where they ran out of wine and that was
one of the I guess back in that day as
today is you
have if we have something going on a
wedding or a feast or something and we
run out of food we get it's embarrassing
for the host but in that case they ran
out of wine and they they said his mom
went to him uh Jesus mother went to him
Mar went to him and said hey we they
have no more wine and he asked the the
question basically what what's the my
that's not my concern that's his
statement
basically and so as he said that she
just told the the people there whatever
he tell you to do just do it and they
did it they got the water pots ordered
to him to fill it with water and when
they taste the wine the I guess what's
the word looking for the the person that
was overseeing the wedding party when he
taste the wine he says normally you save
the you put out the good wine first and
put the inferia out later but this case
it was the opposite but see because the
fact that Jesus did it he doesn't give
you nothing but the best and if you stop
and think about look back over our lives
Even in our worst most difficult times
Jesus gave his best to us and God gave
his best cuz he sent his son to die on
the cross for us and because he did that
we have the opportunity to be here this
morning to give him praise cuz you know
and I think all of us can look back over
our lives we've been in situations that
was dangerous and God has blessed us to
come through it and we're here today to
celebrate now after saying that we have
a very interesting lesson this month I
mean this day because we're dealing with
Jesus authority over the demons but um
well as I said I was going to ask you to
help me out a little bit here and if
everyone how many of you read the the
whole chapter n uh good good I seen two
hands come up so they y'all can tell me
what what that first 13 verses dealt
with hey don't look at me like that by
the way you on tape too when I said I
call your name but but you know he did
you
know he took his took three of his
disciples and they went up into the
mountain and up in while he was up on
this mountain the mountain of
transfiguration um they saw Moses they
saw Elijah Elijah Eliza I get it right
sooner or later but um they came down
and the disciples saw it saw that and
the cloud passed over and they heard a
voice that said this is my beloved Son
and as they did that they were like we
should stay here forever basically
that's what they were thinking this is a
time of Celebration we need to be here
but as we can as the lessons goes on the
shows as we go get into our lesson when
he came back there down to down off the
mountains after had the Mountaintop
experience came back down the mountains
and here was the demons here was the
situation waiting for and as we look at
our lives times we have very highs when
we celebrate our kids graduation their
marriages or whatever even the birth of
our child that we have a high but seemed
like soon as we walk out the door and go
head home something happens and I'm
going to give you an example dealing
with myself
this week on as you know we had quite a
few tragedies not people in with in that
church family that transition went home
to be with the Lord but I went I was
home at my home Church excuse me on
Thursday and uh diing scranage um some
of you that went with us when we went up
for the church anniversary he was there
and he he had turned he's 100 he was 100
years old and 4 months
still very active I talked to his son
the week before Resurrection Sunday and
they was saying that his um one of his
daughters was living with him staying
with him and she had to run an errand
and she come back dad is out there on
the riding M cutting the yard and she's
she's you know trying to fuss at him
they trying he said but I was living my
best life cuz I remember when I had to
walk to church had to walk places now I
can get up and do whatever I want but
anyway he transitioned home or on April
the 5th and they had this H goinging
Thursday and while I was there it was it
was a Hallelujah good service it was
blessed service and everybody was
leaving on the high and as I was leaving
the church leaving the church ground I
was talking to a friend of mine he says
you know Gwen Holmes pass and this was a
young lady that I went to school with
okay that was the first tragedy that hit
me sort of hit me then I get in the get
in the car and I pick up my phone I'm
going to call Miranda cuz she was at her
mom's and I see the message that came in
the Shar had passed so you know as as
you come from a high it brings you back
down real quick but as we look at this
lesson as we go into you know Jesus was
dealing with he he came down from the
mountain and let's see a needy son Let's
I'm going to go ahead and read the
Verses first and then we going to talk a
little bit about
it and when he came down to his
disciples he saw a great multitude about
them and the scribes questioning them
and straight way all the people when
they beheld him were greatly amazed and
running to him saluted him and he asked
the scribes what question ye
them and one of the multitude answered
and said master I have brought unto thee
my son which has a dumb spirit and
whatsoever he taketh and wheresoever he
taketh him he tears him and he Foams and
gashes with his teeth and penth away and
I spake to thy disciples that they
should cast him out and they could not
he answered them and said oh faithless
generation how long shall I be with you
how long shall I suffer you bring him
unto me and they brought him unto him
and when he saw him straight away the
spirit teared him he fell on the ground
and wallet
foaming you know it was a need that
thato as Jesus came down they was
waiting for him and his disciples
couldn't do what was asked of them and
for various reason the the father
brought the son to them they came he
came looking for Jesus he couldn't find
Jesus at the time but his disciples had
been empowered to cast out
demons but they couldn't do in this case
and as we look and think about that we
have powers to do great things but a lot
of times we don't do great things
because of self because of our doubt we
have to have faith and and faith is
something that I can't give you can't
nobody else give you but you you have to
build your faith on what God has done
for you because as I look back over my
life it's been times we've been in
situation and here again I have to keep
saying referring back to myself versus
cuz I don't know what I know of most of
you people I know most of you I know
what some of y'all been through but I
know what what God has done for me cuz
in the midst of situations that I didn't
see no way out but God prepared a way
and you know you just look at it and you
see how he brought you
out but you
know it the as I was looking look down
real quick at the lesson Jesus James and
Jesus Peter James and John immediately
faced the reality other disciples have
been trying to handle in his absence you
know when Jesus came down the people ran
to him when they they were amazed they
saw him they ran to him because he was
suddenly there and he also as he came
into the situation he saw the scribes
and you know coming after his
disciples because fact you know I'm
pretty sure they're like like we were
when we kids something happened and you
didn't get it right
we going to mock you we're going to
laugh at you we're going to point
fingers at you and they were pointing
out everything that the disciples didn't
do okay you walk with this man this many
years this this and this and you didn't
do you couldn't do this the man came to
you and you couldn't deliver it but you
know as we all know it's times that we
just can't we can't do what we normally
could do or what we normally would like
to do so we're at a point now where
disciples were at a point where they
were at a stall mate they just couldn't
handle it and as we go into the lesson
it tells you why they couldn't but Jesus
came in and he was able to step in and
do what he had to
do in the disciples situation they were
sent out two by two in different uh
various books as we read in the gospel
that he had empowered them to go but
sometimes just because you were
empowered for that particular situation
it takes a special prayer special
fasting press you know I'm getting ahead
of myself but you have to prepare
yourself cuz I can't just walk up to
brother Wallace there without any
warning and tell him hey man I need
$1,000 and you know he might have $1,000
but nine out of 10 times he ain't going
to have it in his wallet walking around
every day so it might take him a moment
to get it so you have to prepare and a
lot of times we go in a situ situations
things arise and just because God
allowed us to be the deliverer at one
point don't necessarily mean he's going
to let make give you the power to do it
right then and there sometime you need
to St step off for a moment and go pray
go fast and prepare yourself to do these
things and and a lot of times as the you
saw with the nine disciples that was
left down that was in the crowd they
wasn't prepared to do the job that was
at ahead of them um but also it came
down Jesus also pointed out to him too
where is your faith and says not only
where was the disciples Faith where was
the father's Faith where was the crowd's
faith because see we have every day we
use Faith but it's not always in God
that we use our faith but we have faith
because if we didn't have faith wouldn't
none of y'all have been sitting in them
abws right now cuz you wouldn't have
walked in and sit down in there if you
didn't believe believe that Venture was
going to be able to hold you so a lot of
times we have faith but we don't have
faith in the one that can sustain us to
give us what we need D Hall I keep
looking at your face like you got
something to say
bro but not not singling you out but you
know I look back there I know I I just
looked at him and was like okay I most
time most my just by now most time di
Hall would had had a little input for me
but you know that's okay too but it does
take a great amount of Faith to cast out
a demon takes a it takes preparation to
do this I can't just walk in and say hey
demon get out of him without me being
prayed up and fasting and preparing
myself to for the task a lot of times
people take on things that they're not
really ready to do but you know as Jesus
was dealing with this he
also uh asked why was the the scribes
and stuff around us uh arguing they
weren just discussing they were arguing
and they were coming at him hard and
they were quite upset at the disciples
cuz they were teasing them they were
really
being being what the scribes normally
would be cuz here again they didn't
believe they didn't believe in Jesus
because they didn't they didn't accept
Jesus as Savior as the Christ so of
course they were anything that his
disciples did they were looking to find
fault but then also as you go along a
little farther the father speaks up and
say hey I bought now my own words here
yeah we read the scripture my own words
he come hey I brought my son to you to
your disciples I came looking for you
first you wern't here so I went to your
disciples and I told them what the
situation was but they didn't have power
to remove the demon but then then Jesus
turned around and he comes out and he
goes back to the whole group at this
point oh faithless generation
and it's times we can see it in the
church we see it all throughout the
world sometime I Faith waivers you know
we can be in here or we've been here
Sunday after Sunday after Sunday pastors
them preached and taught and came to us
with gave us a good word and then
sometime we still go out in the world
and don't get it right you know cuz our
faith waivers and the father came forth
and and and his did waver and he
knew that as a situation that his son
needed help because the things that was
done to his
son he needed help he didn't his son was
you know the the demon was attacking him
he left him with a dumb Spirit a deaf
Spirit he was not able to communicate he
it was so many things that the son had
went through that any parent any parent
that's sitting in here if they seen
their child going through that would
have you know great compassion you want
you want better for your child than what
what was happening at this time and we
can look back and I can say pretty much
everyone that's in here whether you are
biological parent you've been a parent
to some child you has been a mentor to
some child and you want them to do
better than what we have and to do this
he knew that he had to come to Jesus had
to come and get his son
delivered any other questions there
about
this any statements okay and then we're
going to chump around here a little bit
to uh look at verses 21-
24 and he asked his father how long is
it ago since this came unto him and he
said of a child and often times it cast
him into the fire into the waters to
destroy him but if thou can do anything
have compassion on us and help us Jesus
said unto him if thou cast K believe all
things are possible to him that believe
and straight away the and straight away
the father of the child cried out and
said with tears Lord I believe help thou
my
unbelief now as the father this
described what was going on with this
with his son often times he had been
cast Into the Fire
the demon was was taking control of his
body the demon was throwing his child
left and right threw them in the water
and it doesn't say in the scripture but
I'm pretty much pretty sure the father
stepped in times to had to rescue his
son pull him out the fire pull him out
the water and stuff of that nature it
doesn't say it per here but you know
just as apparent if we saw our child
going through something like this most
likely we going to jump in and try our
best to save them to get him out of the
situation
and you know he asked for compassion he
asked Jesus to help what better help is
it than going to Jesus you know even in
the midst of our greatest triumphs and
our greatest defeats only Jesus is the
one that can help us through those
situations and see sometime when I say
our
greatest um achievements or whatever
sometime we need Jesus step in so our
head don't get too big because as we you
know we have a tendency well let's
rephrase I'm not going to say week I
have a tendency sometime when I things
work out the way that I sort of thought
I planned it out I was going to do and
it's sort of like hey man look what I
did but I didn't do nothing God was the
only one that could allow me to to
achieve what I achieved and and sometime
it takes a little takes something to to
make us humble ourselves and think about
where it all came from because more and
more you know as I look back over here
again back over back on myself again
sorry about that but as I look back over
what God has brought me through I knew
it was only God I didn't do it he didn't
allow me to serve 20 years in the
military and not have a scratch he he
allowed me to go to go to Desert Storm
and come home safely so many other
people went over there that didn't come
home safely and the same way he did it
for me and I just Happ to be looking at
SRE at the time he can do the same for
your son-in-law he can bring him safely
back from the Middle East cuz as we as
we know right now the Middle East is
very
very messed up that's the best way to
put it there's a lot of things going on
in the Middle East and we need to pray
for for our people in in the military
that's in situation because they're
doing what they're doing is m is
attempting to make life better for us
make it safer for us because I said
tempting because you know we're in a
situation in the Middle East as most of
us
know there's nothing that the United
States or anyone else can really do
besides pray because you know as well as
I do when you're dealing with family
matters you know and I can use I'm
picking up sandre again her and Sherwood
could be fighting like cats and dogs and
if we jump in if I jump in it
they become they become one and then
they turn on me and that's what we going
to see in the Middle East because that's
exactly what's going on in the Middle
East right now you know as we look back
over the history look back over Biblical
history it's brother against brother you
know cuz both the the isra Israel and
the uh Muslim can trace their roades
back to Abraham so if they doing that
what do you what's that telling you
that's two brothers fighting and each
one think they're right and Lord knows
if you think you're right it going to
take an act of guard to tell you that
it's not right that you're not right and
that's what we're seeing in the Middle
East and I didn't mean to get off too
much into politics but it's all over the
news right now you can't help but to see
you know and and I tell and we were
talking yesterday and I told I told my
father-in-law and my brother-in-law I
says you know Israel is not blameless in
all this even though they they try to
act like they are but they're not
because a lot of stuff going on in the
Middle East they provoke also but you
know not to get go too far on that but
get back to our
lesson you know uh the
father has seen his son cast Into Fire
cast into water and and and he wanted
compassion he wanted Jesus to heal him
to help him and only he can only Jesus
could help him at this point
but he also
says um Jesus came back and answer Jesus
said unto him if thou can believe all
things are possible to him that
believeth you
know Jesus put that if there for a
reason now now it's on you can you
believe do you have faith to believe
that this can be done a lot of times we
ask
God and when he does it I can't believe
that happen but it's it's not
that God will grant you if you have
faith he can do these things for you but
you have to believe that he can do it a
lot of times we we ask but I don't think
sometime we just don't believe that he
can do it and we have to have faith
enough to know beond shout or doubt
anything that I ask God
for now I'm going to rephrase that
anything I ask God for in his will I can
have but some things I'm not ready for
some of the things I ask God for I'm
just not ready for now I'm going tell
you like this you know Lord let me have
a million dollars he know I get a
million dollars on my brown Grove in my
new sports car beep beep beep and gone
you know and let's face it a lot of us
would be just that
way you know but so God knows what's
best for us sometimes when we ask and we
can ask believing and trying to be in
God's will but he knows that it's not
good for us and we have to believe this
we have to know when God says yes he
says no and sometime he says later on
maybe maybe a little bit later when you
mature a little bit more but in this
case you know the
father had a legitimate
request he really want wanted his son
healed he wanted that demon cast out of
his son and think about it everyone
that's sitting in here we someone I love
one of ours was in that situation we
would want the demon cast out as soon as
possible we' like to see our child hold
see our friend holds you know and we all
struggled with dealing with parents I'm
I'm change a little bit when didn't
dealt with parents that's going through
something we pray that God would heal
them
that God will strengthen them and a lot
of times it's not God's will but then
also as we pray that prayer we also got
to pray Lord thy will be done and give
us strength to accept what thy will is
you know cuz I know all of I can
say for myself especially I keep going
back to myself I know I pray that God
would heal my mom heal my brothers heal
my sister sisters but I also knew that
hey it's it's thy will be done and I
also knew that the healing might not
come on this side but see now the with
my mom my dad my seven siblings they all
resting with God cuz I knew one thing
for sure they had a relationship with
the Lord and that gave me peace in the
midst of of of the loss and so that's
the things that we have to hold on to at
times like
this and but the father came back and he
said something there that was very
important and straight away the father
of the child cried out with tears Lord I
believe but help thou thou my
unbelief at this time he was looking at
the fact that he
believed but he he knew his faith was
weak and and here again I'll come right
back to us again at times we believe we
we know God can do all
things but sometime my faith just is a
little weak and we struggle with the
fact that believing that he can but we
know we've been taught and we have S in
class and we have learned and we know
that God is able but then there still
times when our faith just is just weak
you know we we go through things and the
world beats us down sometime you know I
know it's been times and I'm like man
I don't believe I'm ever going to make
it to retirement cuz it look like every
time I look something come up I got to
spend more money and this that and what
I still got to work but you know God
blessed us to make it to see it and a
lot of us in here have struggled with
things something as simple as that and
and that bill comes that you wasn't
expecting and you going oh Lord where
where' that come from I thought I'd paid
all that and and I'm going throw this
one out there since theor tax day whole
lot of us is looking at like H I didn't
know I made that much and I didn't know
I owed that much but you know but God
Will Make A Way and but we have to trust
have to believe and in this case dealing
with this father he he realized that his
faith was weak that he needed help and
so many times we find ourself in that
same
situation but as like before I'm going
on I would never
forget this was 25 years no more than
that probably about 30 years ago I was
TDY to
England and the preacher was up and I
was at the gospel service in at the
chapel and whatever and the pastor got
up and he says well you know he called
out the lady's name I don't remember her
name she had came to him asking to pray
for for the house that she wanted she
was moving in Basse housing and it was a
particular house that she she had seen
and she wanted and he prayed with her
and then when she got the phone call
that they that was house that they were
getting into it she say I don't believe
it he and he
looked and he you know he he laughed he
says okay I got a question he looked at
I got a question for you why did you
come to me and ask me to pray for it if
you didn't believe it when God gave it
to you so sometime we can be we can have
all the faith in the world and believe
but we still have that unbelief will
creep in there when things happen when
God blesses the way we do we should just
be able to give him glory but then but
our human side steps up and say hm I
don't believe that was going to happen
but I give God praise for for so many
things that he's done in our
lives and you know and I I think I can
say this for everyone in here God has
been good to us all we had some mountain
tops and we had some Valley days and we
went through some dark days some hard
times and all of us have been through
those but then is the times but thank
God that the the mountain tops help us
to get through the valley times and you
know as we go through the valley times
when things hit us and it's tough we
have something that still works our
memory our memory will show us we can
look back and said well God took me
through this so if he took me through
this I know he can take me through that
and you know when we lost the loved one
and you know you seem like you you're
hurt about it but then you know the
loved one has gone on to be with the
Lord cuz we done our job we witnessed to
them we told them about the goodness of
the Lord and they made that decision for
themselves so we have something that we
can build on and and get us back to that
mountain top and you know and that
mountain top days are are good days and
you know and I I thank the Lord day by
day that my Mountaintop day have been so
many more than my valley Days them days
of of toughness God has blessed me
through those and when when I look at
the you know come look at the checkbook
and it's like I got a whole week or two
weeks to go before I get paid again I
know that $10 will last until then you
know those type things those are the
little things but they also are things
that you have to have faith know that
God has prepared a way for you and okay
now I said back in the back and I said
once before I wasn't going to do all
this talking but it seemed like I'm the
only one talking now come on folks y'all
y'all ain't got
nothing y'all as the old folks y'all
ain't got
nothing but you know God is truly good
though and I keep coming back to that
cuz even in the midst of this as he was
keing and we're getting into now where
um that he was going to get ready to uh
cast out the demon
but you
know I
just I just want to give God praise for
what he's doing right now today for us
all cuz as I look around out in the
crowd yeah we got some aches and we got
some pains we got some bad knees bad
backs and this that and whatever but we
got Glory that we can get up we were
still able to get up this morning and
put on our clothes and come out to the
house of worship one more time we come
out for no other reason than to praise
God and being able to do that in itself
is so great cuz there times that there
some places hey look you can't go out
and praise God the way we do you know
God has been good to us and we and as we
look back we know God has been good and
I forgot to cut my phone
down all right bear with me for one
second please I don't want to be a
distraction any more than what I
am now as we get into the last parts of
these verses it says when Jesus saw the
people come running together he rebuked
the foul Spirit saying unto them thou
dumb and deaf spirit I charge thee come
out of him and enter no more into him
and the spirit cried and R him sore and
came out of him and he was as one dead
in so much that many said he was dead
but Jesus took him by the hand and
lifted him up and he
arose you know all right at that
point now see the demon didn't didn't go
without putting up a fight he put up a
fight you know cuz he he's you know I
could imagine that he slung this board
Every Which Way But a loose he you know
he did everything he could do to him you
know and then I think that when the
people looked at him they thought he was
dead so you know he he did a lot to this
young man he slung him this way that way
every which way he could until he was
just the poor little boy was just
exhausted now I said little boy I don't
do specify exactly age but he had been
possess since he was a child so he Pro I
would have now here again don't go out
and quote me and don't tell anybody
diing Bush said this boy was in his teen
years but I would Rec I would probably
think he was probably in his teens at
the forign or something of that nature
but the fact of it is though he laid he
looked as a dead person he was just laid
out uh I think in the commentary and
when I was reading it said it believ
that he was his body had dried out and
he was just stiff laying there and they
were like he looked to the point like if
anyone anyone here have seen a dead body
you know how the person just laying
stiff and motionless and this probably
way this young man was look laying and
looking at that time
but but my
Jesus you know the demon came out the
demon was long gone and he reached down
and took him by the hand and lifted him
up and he
arose you know the touch of
Jesus Jesus can touch you and can't
nobody do nothing about it you can get
up and you can run you can do you can
arise you can walk and you can do the
things
that a normal person can do and as you
said now as it stated here the people
looked at him and thought he was dead
but Jesus reached the hand down and
touched him and he got up he arose and
I'm pretty sure it doesn't say it here
but if it was me I'd probably been
shouting and having me a good time me
and my dad the first time I made my dad
could hug me and you know really
interact with me like that I think that
would be a Hallelujah shouting time at
that point
yeah and as I keep looking around I'm
going come on folks say something even
if
it's but you know I'm going say this God
is only Jesus can do the things that
Jesus
do and it goes on a little bit farther
here as the last two verses that I
didn't didn't read I'm going go ahead
and throw it out to you says but when he
came into the house his disciples asked
him privately why could we not cast him
out and he said unto them this can this
kind can come forth by nothing but
prayer and
fasting you know the disciples were like
hey look Jesus you know you empowered us
to go do this and do this and do that
and I couldn't do it why couldn't
we Jesus told him the simple reason but
prayer and
fasting okay now question for you now
this one I think y'all all should be
able to throw in when they said prayer
and fasting what does that consist of
all right and reading the word but okay
when you talking about fasting what are
you talking
about yes and most of the time when we
associate fasting we we look at the fact
that most people give up eating
something or drinking something but
that's where the prayer comes into play
when you fast when you give up like that
one come as I was looking it up I just
glanced at it and tried to get me a a
good idea how the best way to explain
that is when you're fasting you normally
fast and pray when you give up say you
give up
eating uh or give up drinking or
whatever you drink you drink I'm not
talking about hard alcohol I'm talking
about just drinking water or whatever if
you you denying your body something to
give you strength but as you do that for
every meal that you give up that time
you spend praying and you replace the
food with prayer with God time with God
and that's how you get stronger and only
by that way can you cast out demons that
by that's the only way you can get these
things done that you need done is by
making sure that you fast that you spend
that time when you fast that you are
spending that time with God not just lot
got and watching TV or whatever you
spend that time with God and that's the
thing that's the important thing you
need to take out of here is that only
way you can do these great things and do
the things that are required that you
would like to get done with God is that
you grow closer to
him a lot of
times we see as things progress that our
faith grows
as we
grow the more and as I said earlier if
you when you have those
Mountaintop days and when The Valleys
come when sickness come when things hit
you unexpectedly you can look back and
see what God has done before you and
that helps strengthen you help give you
more power to continue to go and gives
you that extra What's the Word of Faith
extra feeling that hey I know God God is
going to live me out of this and then
thank God have I've grown enough now
where even if he don't I can still go
back to what the three Hebrew boys said
even if he don't I know he's able and
sometimes he allows you to go through
these things to strengthen you to
prepare you for what's coming down the
road and we are starting to see it more
and more in this church we see things
Happening Here in brown gr Community
where very good example I'm I'm going to
close with this of how God has worked
things out in years past when that
situation arose with him trying to
rezone down here it would have happened
and by the time we knew it was happening
it was already done but see God is
working things out now where we're
starting to see things happen before
they happen prepare us so that we can
stand and do the things that we need to
do and you know that's coming from God
that's not coming from the preservation
group or anybody else God is preparing
us showing us the things that we need to
know and do to be prepared and God is
preparing each and every one of us for a
great
great experience in him CU he's doing
things we're seeing people that is being
healed being taken care of that we never
even thought about and I'm going come
back to myself on this last thing and
then I'm definitely closing um 11 years
ago I was found out that I had prostate
cancer um of course the
initial diagnosis it messed me up it
messed me and Miranda up we went home we
left the doctor's office we went home
she went one way and I went the other
way I fell on my knees I cried I prayed
but God gave me peace God told me this
is what you need to do if you follow the
instructions I give you everything's
going to be all right and I stand Here
Right Now 11 years later cancer free and
I'm looking back at Willam same way I
think brother Sherwood same way and
there just a few that I know and we have
some ladies that's been that dealt with
breast cancer how God has delivered them
took them safely through of course yeah
it's it's some effects that we still
have some effects of it but we're we're
still up walking around still in good
shape relatively good shape so we got to
give God praise for all the things that
he's doing and as and as di Hall said we
have to prepare oursel to be prepared to
receive the blessing that God has given
us and when he gives us
stuff can't nobody take it from us and
the bottom of line that song said along
long time ago what God has for me is for
me and I I hold on to it each and every
day he allowed me to make it to
retirement and I I thank him for that
and for the few folks that are still
working that want hey look I'm going to
say like this I'm looking at D Hall cuz
he just wants don't want to work but he
don't have to work but you know but God
to God be the glory and I'm going say
that's a that's a blessing in itself too
that you still able to and you know so
it's so many things that God has
blessing us Swift that we can you know
he he's he's done kept the demons away
from a lot of us he's done kept a lot of
stuff away from us that we we you know
we have to give him praise for that for
the dangers that didn't come our way the
times we on the highway going somewhere
and we got there right after the
accident or got there we got through it
just before the accident that's only God
you know not that I hey I didn't plan so
well that I was going to be going down
the highway and it going to happen be me
but God blessed us and we have to give
him praise and glory for that and I
thank you for your for your
participation for your help and next
time now I don't know about all that but
I I ain't going that far but I'm just
going to say to God be the glory that
you know next week let me flip over here
real quick before
and and oh yeah by the way William you
had a birthday yes didn't
yeah and you know hey look that's a
praise in itself and if the good Lord
allows me to see Thursday I'll have
another one praise God for that and um
our lessons for next week is coming from
Luke the 6th chapter the first 11 verses
is healing on the Sabbath but you know
God is able to do what he wants when he
wants all we have to do is have faith to
believe it and do it and at this time I
ask that you stand and D Hall will you
close this up please
