🎨 Comment peindre les cheveux (tuto technique peinture acrylique)
Summary
TLDRIn this engaging tutorial, the artist shares their process of creating a realistic painting of a woman with a beautiful braid. They begin by sketching the braid using guiding lines and zigzag patterns to capture the volume and direction of the hair. After outlining the hair with acrylic paint and a round brush, they apply a transparent glaze of natural sienna diluted in water to establish a base color. The artist then builds up layers of opaque color using a combination of titanium white, primary blue, and sienna, adjusting the saturation to achieve a natural look. They highlight the lights and shadows with additional layers, and finally, add fine details such as stray hairs for added realism. The tutorial encourages viewers to experiment with the technique, even suggesting they can simplify it by omitting a few steps. The artist invites viewers to share their experiences with the technique in the comments section.

🎨 Painting Technique Tutorial: Realistic Hair with Opaque and Glaze Layers
The artist shares their experience of painting a realistic portrait focusing on the hair, which was the main element of the piece. They experimented with a new technique involving alternating opaque and glaze layers to achieve depth and naturalness. The tutorial begins with a simple method to sketch a braid, using guide lines to outline the width and direction of the hair strands. After sketching, the artist moves on to painting with acrylics, blocking the sketch and marking shadows with black paint thinned with water. The process continues with applying a transparent glaze layer of natural sienna to provide a base color and allow the previous layer to show through. The artist then prepares colors for subsequent layers using titanium white, primary blue, and natural sienna, adjusting the saturation to create a neutral color palette. They apply these colors in layers, starting with the darkest and gradually adding lighter values, allowing each layer to dry before proceeding to maintain the integrity of the painting.
🖌️ Adding Contrast and Details to Enhance the Hair Portrait
After discussing the possibility of simplifying the process for those who find it too intricate, the artist proceeds to add contrast and volume to the hair portrait using shadow glazes. They mix natural sienna with blue and black, and introduce a touch of cadmium red for depth. The process starts with a very diluted layer using a flat brush, focusing on the darkest areas where the hair strands are most intertwined. Following this, a darker, less diluted layer is applied to emphasize the strongest shadows. The final stage involves retouching with prepared colors from earlier steps, repainting any lost strands, enhancing certain highlights, and adding fine hairs protruding from the strands for a more natural and realistic effect. The artist encourages viewers to try this technique and share their feedback in the comments and concludes with a prompt to check out other related videos.

Highlights
The artist created a realistic painting of a woman's hair using a new technique that alternates between opaque and glazing layers.
They are sharing this technique in a tutorial to help others achieve a similar level of realism in their own paintings.
A simple method is provided for drawing a braid as a guide before painting, starting with lines to define the width and using a zigzag pattern.
The artist uses acrylic paint and begins by blocking in the sketch and defining shadows with black paint thinned with water.
Adding highlights and direction to the hair with fine brushstrokes helps to suggest the shape and volume of the braid.
A transparent glaze of raw sienna thinned with water is applied over the entire painting to provide a base color while maintaining the underlying details.
The artist emphasizes the importance of allowing each layer to dry thoroughly before proceeding to prevent mixing or lifting of the paint.
Colors for the subsequent layers are mixed using titanium white, primary blue, and raw sienna to create a range of neutral, desaturated tones.
Opaque layers are built up using a round brush, starting with the darkest color and gradually adding lighter values while the previous layer is drying.
Pure white is used for the lightest areas, allowing the underlying layers to show through and creating a sense of depth.
Another thin glaze is applied over the hair using very diluted raw sienna to enhance the lights and create soft transitions.
The artist demonstrates how to selectively strengthen lights and add fine hairs using a liner brush with thinned paint for a more natural, realistic effect.
Contrast and volume are added with glazes of shadows, mixing raw sienna with blue, black, cadmium red, and a touch of black for deeper tones.
Starting with a very diluted layer on the darkest areas helps to create a subtle transition into the mid-tones.
Observing the model carefully while applying the shadows ensures that the strongest areas of darkness are accurately represented.
In the final stage, the artist goes back in to repaint any lost strands, reinforce certain lights, and add fine hairs for a more naturalistic finish.
The artist acknowledges that the technique may seem time-consuming but emphasizes that it took less time than it appears and encourages experimentation.
They invite viewers to try the technique, even if it means omitting one or two steps, and to share their experiences and feedback in the comments.
Transcripts
A bientôt.
