ladies and gentlemen a few years ago I

made a video where I ranked every single

Call of Duty campaign from worst to best

and you guys seem to really enjoy that

video it sparked up a really good

conversation and since more Call of Duty

games came out I want to do another

similar video but a little bit different

in this video I am going to be raiding

every single Call of Duty game starting

with Call of Duty 1 all the way to

present Modern Warfare 3 on both their

campaign and multiplayer we're going to

be rating them on a scale of 1 to 10 and

what I'm going to try to do is not to

talk too much limit it to about 30

seconds per campaign or per multiplayer

and give you my rating and by the very

end of the video we are going to have

every single game for both campaign and

multiplayer stack ranked and for some

games the campaign is vastly different

than the multiplayer and I thought that

this was a cool idea and of course with

anything that's subjective like this a

lot of you are going to disagree with me

and what I will say to that is feel free

to if you completely disagree with

something I have to say in this video

of every single Call of Duty game over

into the ratings let me first tell you

going over the major AAA releases in

other words not going over any of the PS

Vita games or Black Ops classified

anything like that so we're going to

start is at the very beginning with Call

of Duty 1 2 and three I'm going to group

all three of these together because well

I didn't play them when they were

released and I don't have much to say on

them so I'm going to go through these

ratings very quickly and give you a

brief explanation so for Call of Duty 1

for campaign I give it a five out of 10

multiplayer wasn't really a thing at the

time so no mark on that one Call of Duty

2 5.5 out of 10 for campaign and 5.5 out

of 10 for multiplayer Call of Duty 3 4.5

out of 10 for campaign and four for

multiplayer now the reason why I say

this is because I think Call of Duty 2

was a little bit better than Call of

Duty 1 for the campaign and I think Call

of Duty 3 was actually the worst game

out of the first ones also the

multiplayer kind of sucked for it as

well now again I don't have much to say

about these games but what I will say is

that they were Revolution at the time

but going back and playing them later

after something like Call of Duty 4 came

out you can just see a giant jump and

hence why I probably didn't enjoy these

as much as people did when they played

them at the time Call of Duty 4 Modern

Warfare starting out with the campaign

just look at the jump between Call of

Duty 3 and Call of Duty 4 this is like

no other not only did they just go to

the modern era on top of that they went

from an era where they were just telling

a broad overall story to now they're

implementing individual characters and

their backstory showing flashback

missions for Captain Price and on top of

this even when this game was remastered

it stood up with the Call of Duties at

that time and honestly it's one of the

best Call of Duty campaigns of all times

it includes big twists memorable

missions memorable characters and all

around is a great campaign I give this

one an 8 out of 10 without the

multiplayer for Call of Duty 4 Call of

Duty wouldn't be what it was today

introducing kill streaks adding in

things like killcam which by the way

were not in there at the release of the

game it was added in an update but all

of these things come together with other

RPG elements like leveling up characters

prestiging unlocking different weapons

as you level which created the Call of

Duty that we know today all in all the

gameplay was way smoother than any other

FPS multiplayer game that came out at

the time and that made it the cream of

the crop was there problems yes the M16

was overpowered triple frag sucked there

was many issues but all in all

especially at the time this absolutely

just like the campaign was an8 out of 10

moving into Call of Duty World at War

this was the next game made by Treyarch

and honestly I don't believe that the

campaign was nearly as good as Call of

Duty 4S and there's a couple of reasons

for that first of all they don't dive

into individual characters nearly as

much as the Modern Warfare series did

which meant there is less story overall

yes world of war did tell a really good

World War II story in fact I think it

might be one of the best if not the best

ever and was still a good game I just

think it quite had the story depth that

Call of Duty 4 did but one thing that it

did do really good is the realism and

showing the brutality of World War II so

I still enjoyed it and give it a 7 out

of 10 multiplayer is kind of a similar

story this was the game that I started

playing Call of Duty multiplayer with

and once I played it I immediately just

went and played Call of Duty 4 and I

don't really know why that was I don't

know if it was the maps that played

better I don't know if the guns felt

smoother there was just something about

Call of Duty 4 that I think was a little

bit better than World at War something

that just kind of felt drab and and

really the only gun that you could use

to be competitive in this game was the

MP 40 which was kind of gamebreaking so

because of that I give World at War

multiplayer a 6.5 out of 10 oh yeah and

I forgot to mention we're not going to

be mentioning any Co-op zombies or

anything like that in this video just

multiplayer campaign Modern Warfare 2

the original Modern Warfare 2

essentially what they did here is just

took the formula that they had with Call

of Duty 4 and upped it to the next level

the bigger moments were even bigger in

this game and on top of that they had

guts they weren't afraid to kill some of

the main characters pushing forward the

story of our other main characters like

Captain Price and soap McTavish and they

did so in a very very good way so what

this means is it's a little bit better

than Call of Duty 4 putting that this

campaign at an 8.5 out of 10 as far as

the MP went this one is hard for me to

talk about because I truly believe that

Modern Warfare 2 could have been the

greatest Call of Duty of all time

multiplayer wise except for one thing

they added in a ton of fun elements

everything in this multiplayer felt

absolutely overpowered they implemented

multiple different kill streaks for the

first time even adding the nuke with

multiple different weapons perks Pro

Perks everything went so well until

there was a legal battle inside of

Infinity Ward and these things that were

completely broken like the model 1887s

one man army Noob Tube under the map

glitch emergency airdrop glitch a ton of

things like that couldn't get fixed

because of the turbulence within the

studio if that wouldn't have happened

this this probably would be the highest

rated multiplayer because for me it was

the most fun but because they didn't I

still loved this one but I give it an

8.5 out of 10 if they could only fix

those broken things Call of Duty Black

Ops 1 this is as close to a perfect Call

of Duty campaign I think is humanly

possible first of all the characters

that they Implement in this with Frank

Woods and Alex Mason are amazing they

are not afraid to kill characters in the

game like Bowman there were shocking

moments there memorable moments and not

to mention the entire story is

completely mindbending you don't know

what is actually going on until the very

end the campaign and even after that

they leave you guessing with many many

questions this is my favorite campaign

by far the best story and even great

gameplay this to me is an easy 9.5 out

of 10 now multiplayer is a little bit of

a different story for this game because

I don't think the multiplayer in this

game was as fun or as good as Modern

Warfare 2 don't get me wrong I still

think it's one of the better multiplayer

games I just don't think it had that

magic that Modern Warfare 2 had and yes

it wasn't as broken there weren't as

many glitches but to me it just wasn't

quite as fun and again I can't really

put my finger on as to why that would be

but that's just how I felt about it but

don't get me wrong it is still really

good 8 out of 10 Modern Warfare 3 as far

as the campaign goes I think the way to

rate this one is comparing it to the pre

previous two modern warfare games I

don't think this campaign is as good as

Modern Warfare 2 but I do think it is

slightly better in the storytelling

elements than Modern Warfare 1 some

moments like the death of soap and some

things that happened throughout it like

the big explosions in London are really

really good but I just don't think it

has the dramatization that Modern

Warfare 2 does so it's close but I think

I give this one like 8.2 out of 10

multiplayer wise I know a lot of people

really loved the Modern Warfare 3

multiplayer but for some reason it

didn't Captivate me like the previous

two modern warfar did I don't think it

was as good as Modern Warfare 2 or

specifically as fun and it wasn't as

groundbreaking as the original Modern

Warfare was that being said I still

think it was a really good multiplayer

just didn't Captivate me like the

previous two so for this one 7.5 out of

10 looking at things I think Black Ops 2

was probably the most

well-rounded Call of Duty game both

multiplayer and campaign were incredibly

enjoyable and did a ton of things right

in typical Treyarch fashion the campaign

was told incredibly well doing something

new this time having two sets of the

story one taking place in the future and

one taking place in the past on top of

that there was this whole story with

Frank Woods between Alex Mason's son

David Mason and on top of that that

added in a lot of drama into the game

now I don't think the story was quite as

good as the first Black Ops game but all

in all it was still absolutely amazing

and a lesson told in storytelling and

for this one I give it a really great

score n out of 10 then with the

multiplayer side of things the

introduction of the pck 10 system

alongside amazing gameplay great maps

and a ton of amazing kill streaks made a

amazing Call of Duty game not to mention

I really do think that this was one of

the best competitive Call of Duty games

that was ever released all in all

looking back on it as a whole this Call

of Duty game stands really above all of

the rest as I said before the most

well-rounded Call of Duty game so you

can probably guess the score on this one

once again 9 out of 10 this is where

things get really interesting because

this game Call of Duty ghost is one

where the campaign and multiplayer do

not line up at all I think Call of Duty

ghost may be the most underrated

campaign of all time this campaign is

incredibly good great storytelling great

introduction of characters and then

building this kind of post-apocalyptic

World which we've never really seen done

well in a Call of Duty game before it

was something brand new and on top of

that the characters that they introduced

had consequences they died great things

happened and it ended on a cliffhanger

and there was a never a sequel It's in

my opinion the most underrated 8 out of

10 multiplayer on the other hand I

didn't like the ghost multiplayer and

really it was because of one thing and

one thing alone the time to kill was

incredible incredibly fast what that

meant is that people could camp and the

first person to shoot their weapon

generally speaking would be the person

that got the kill which made a very

campy play style in conjunction with

some very large Maps I just didn't have

a good time with this multiplayer so for

the lowest score yet this one 4 out of

10 Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for the

first time Call of Duty was going quite

distantly into the future and as far as

the campaign went I think they did an

all right job with this one I think they

had a very good villain in Jonathan

irons but really the rest of the story

didn't really grip me I didn't care what

happened to any of the main characters

however some moments were memorable with

the new abilities with it taking place

in the future so I don't necessarily

think that this was a bad campaign it

just wasn't top tier like some of the

other ones that we saw 6.5 multiplayer

wise I think a lot of people look at

Advanced Warfare with rose-colored

glasses I think that's how the S goes

because this one I do remember it being

fun and the new EXO abilities were

definitely new and added a fresh take to

Call of Duty but there was a lot of bad

things in this game first of all the

weapon balance was horrible you were

either using the B 27 or the asm1 they

were the only two good weapons and on

top of that the pogo stick movement was

very annoying and it was the

introductions of supply drops which were

an RNG way of unlocking weapons and

cosmetics which as we're going to see

get get more and more egregious so I

don't think it was a horrible game but I

only give this one a 6 out of 10 Call of

Duty Black Ops 3 up until this point I

have praised Treyarch's campaigns Black

Ops 3 not so much now I don't think

there was necessarily anything wrong

with the game play but storytelling wise

they just tried way too hard and in

doing so they made the campaign way over

complicated and extremely difficult to

understand still to this day I feel like

I need to know a little bit of about

theoretical physics to actually

understand what's going on in this one

and because of that I think a lot of

people the campaign just went way over

their head I had to make like a 30

minute long video just explaining this

campaign like six years after the game

came out so I didn't really enjoy this

one I give it a 4.5 out of 10 however

the multiplayer of this one is one I

actually really enjoyed and in fact I

think it was the best implementation of

advanced movement or non boots on the

ground movement a Call of Duty game has

ever seen on top of that a lot of really

fun small fast-paced maps and even the

ones that were big you could Traverse

very very quickly even making those ones

fun I loved playing Search and Destroy

in this game I love the field upgrades

the way that the different characters

and operators played and the fact that

there was challenges for not only weapon

camos but the operators as well added a

ton of replayability I really enjoyed

this one 8 out of 10 Call of Duty

infinite Warfare goes down as one of the

most hated trailers or videos on YouTube

of all time and as far as the campaign

goes this is one a lot of people don't

agree with me about I think this is one

of the worst Call of Duty campaigns ever

and I know you're probably up in arms

right now but let me explain a little

bit as far as the story goes I find this

story so unrelatable and none of the

characters actually drew me in this is

one of those games that I feel like I

need to go back in play because so many

people have told me it's one of their

favorite campaigns yet it's one of my

least favorites I didn't enjoy the

gameplay I didn't enjoy the story so for

this I give it a 2 out of 10 and

honestly multiplayer didn't really do

that much better for me and it's a big

question of whether we were just all

burnt out of the advanced movement non-

boots on the ground Call of Duty or was

the multiplayer really that bad this is

again another one that I want to go back

and re-experience to see if it was

really that bad but looking back on it I

didn't love it supply drops were still

in the game very egregious Quarter

Master blueprints a bunch of different

probably in that front and as a whole I

don't know if it was just the setting or

whether it was too similar to Black Ops

3 I just didn't enjoy it so for this one

another bad score 4.5 out of 10 so this

is a fun one Call of Duty World War II

now I know a lot of people didn't really

like this game but what I will say is I

actually think the campaign of this one

was pretty good and it's in a different

way cuz obviously this is a World War I

campaign and unlike Call of Duty World

at War I think world at war did a good

job of telling the story of World War II

whereas Call of Duty World War II this

one did a good job of telling the story

of the characters within World War II

they did a very good job of developing

them getting you involved with them and

not afraid to kill them like things that

really happened during World War II I

really enjoyed this campaign and is

another one that I think is very

underrated so I give the campaign a 7

out of 10 multiplayer wise not so much

now I don't necessarily think there's

anything wrong with the World War III

multiplayer I just found it boring and I

don't really have a reason for that but

you're going to see this again for one

more Call of Duty game coming up I just

didn't have fun playing it I could hop

on and enjoy myself for 15 30 minutes

maybe three games and then after that I

was just like okay I'm done I don't need

to play anymore and that was really that

so really there's nothing wrong with it

there was just nothing good about it so

for this one right in the middle 5 out

of 10 Black Ops 4 technically the only

Call of Duty game without a campaign now

that doesn't mean the game didn't have

any story and in fact the story hidden

throughout several different cutscenes

and various different operators is

actually a really really good story

there's just no campaign or really

gameplay to go with it whatsoever in

fact one of the things that blew up my

channel was telling the story of these

operators through Black Ops 4 so I like

the story it's just there's no campaign

so I can't give it a zero because there

is story but I guess this one gets a 1

out of 10 and then the multiplayer I

actually think the multiplayer for Black

Ops 4 is one of the more underrated

multiplayers I think this one's pretty

good however I do think it was designed

with Advanced movement in mind there's

several spots on maps and the way that

it plays also the crutch of constantly

stemming every time you take damage

there's some bad things about this

multiplayer and I don't think it's as

good as Black Ops 3 but all in all it's

a very fun arcade shooter multiplayer

and for that I give it a 7 out of 10

this moves us forward into what I call

like the present day Call of Duties the

ones that are more recent and definitely

have a different feel than the older

ones and this starts us out with modern

warfare 2019 as far as the campaign goes

in this game I honestly think this is

the best Modern Warfare campaign that

ever came out I think it does an amazing

job of telling individual character

stories going into Farah's backstory

having the mystery of Alex and who he

really is telling the story of Captain

Price taking a character like Gaz under

his wing and telling a great overall

story as well with Great cinematics

Moments and one of the best missions of

all time being cleanhouse I give this

one a 9 out of 10 for the campaign

multiplayer wise I do know a lot of

people like this one the problem with it

for me is one it has a really fast time

to kill so similar to Call of Duty ghost

I don't like it for that reason and also

they implemented things like changing up

the mini map the way certain perks work

like dead silence and and those things

just made it play a little bit too campy

for my liking that being said they did

add in a lot of really good things like

gunsmith the way the weapons sounded

felt and looked were all amazing but

overall because of those gameplay

elements I just didn't Jo enjoy it as

much as I thought I would and for that I

give the multiplayer a 6.5 Black Ops

Cold War so as far as the campaign goes

for this one I think they tell a really

really good story and have really cool

gameplay in this one as well very

different missions than your normal Call

of Duty game like the one where you go

into the KGB and have to talk your way

or sneak your way through the mission

which I thought was very different and

very cool the only problem I have with

this one is it's a relatively short

campaign coming in around 4 to 5 hours

which is pretty darn short for a Call of

Duty campaign but otherwise the

characters the progression the

mind-bending story that Treyarch does is

very well done just a little too short

for my liking so for me 7.5 out of 10

and then multiplayer I actually enjoyed

the multiplayer of Black Ops Cold War I

found it fun I enjoyed a good junk of

the maps but I had one big problem with

it I hated the way that they handled

score streaks how they persisted even

after you died and then there was no way

of wrapping them and it just wasn't my

Cupa te I didn't like that and there is

a rumor that they're going to be doing

that with the next Treyarch game as well

which again I'm not a big fan of I don't

think it was the best Call of Duty I

think there was one bad thing about it

so for me 7 out of 10 oh Call of Duty

Vanguard this in my opinion is the worst

story in any Call of Duty campaign ever

it just sucks they go through a whole

thing of building up this squad for you

and then they build up this bad guy who

is going to be the next big bad guy of

Germany and then he just dies and then

that's the end of it and the team really

has nothing to do with it and the story

doesn't matter whatsoever this campaign

sucks I didn't like any of the gameplay

of it and I really really didn't like it

it goes down as one of the worst of all

time I didn't like it I don't think I've

said that enough but 1.5 out of 10 then

the multiplayer now this one I really

didn't enjoy that much either it kind of

fell in the same line as Call of Duty

World War II where I would play it I

would get bored of it and I wouldn't

want to play it anymore and this game is

essentially I have the same feelings

about the other one the only difference

is it didn't have anything cool that

Drew me in like the headquarters from

Call of Duty World War II so for me this

is a below average multiplayer and I put

this one at 4.5 out of 10 we're almost

there we're getting towards the end this

one is Modern Warfare 2 as far as this

campaign went I thought it was a good

campaign there was lots of missions that

I found pretty cool like the mission

alone that almost feels like the last of

us and as far as the characters in it I

like the Modern Warfare characters

however the complaint I have with this

campaign is there was no consequences to

anything no characters died no stories

were really progressed just more people

were introduced we had Shadow company we

had General Shepherd there was

introductions to the game but nothing of

consequence actually happened so I

enjoyed the campaign I just didn't think

it was great or anything so it's better

than mid so 6.5 out of 10 so multiplayer

i h and ha about where I was going to

put this one and the one thing that made

this decision easy for me is I thought

did I like this more or less than Call

of Duty vanguard's multiplayer and I

think based off of a lot of the

decisions that they made with the mini

map and perks and things like that

similar to Modern Warfare 2019 I really

didn't like this multiplayer in fact I

liked it a lot less than modern warfare

2019 so for that I'm giving this one it

might be surprising to some people but a

4 out of 10 and finally we have Modern

Warfare 3 so to start out with the

campaign I actually think the story that

they try to tell in this campaign is

okay they just don't do a very good job

of telling it and I made a video where I

rewrote the story with the exact same

story elements and a lot of people said

it was a lot better on top of that the

campaign is very very short around 3 to

4 hours long and on top of that there's

really no missions that stand out as all

that interesting and with the open world

missions if you even want to call them

that those are really boring too so

honestly a really good story squandered

and a very boring game play so for that

3.5 out of 10 and then multiplayer as

far as the multiplayer goes this is the

game that Modern Warfare 2 should have

been they took all of the bad gameplay

elements and made them better they have

better Maps they have better modes they

update it more and I actually enjoy the

multiplayer of this game but again it's

kind of squandered because this is what

Modern Warfare 2 should have been so I'm

not going to lie I enjoy it I think it's

well above mid so 7 out of 10 so that is

it I rated every single Call of Duty

game and to summarize starting out with

campaigns first off if two games got the

same score I listed them in order as to

which one I thought was better but my

favorite campaign was Call of Duty Black

Ops and the worst campaign was

technically Black Ops 4 but if we put

that one aside it would be Call of Duty

Vanguard followed up by infinite Warfare

and moving over to multiplayer our best

multiplayer comes in at Black Ops 2 and

the worst ones are Call of Duty ghost

and Modern Warfare 2 oddly for very

similar reasons with time to kill the

way the mini Map works things along

those lines but that being said I didn't

make this into a chart because I might

make a future video about it but the

worst overall score goes to Call of Duty

infinite Warfare so as I mentioned let
