quickly introduce myself I am

um I did actually graduate from uh the

Islamic

which is in Makkah also down the road

from where we are today many many years

ago

um and I before that I actually

graduated uh you know in um in the

University of London

um City University for computer science

so I graduated from computer science I

went on into industry I left that and

then came here to Mecca to study Islamic

Studies

and as I grew up I actually went to a

grammar school in the UK at that time I

think it was the sixth less School in

the UK and actually that shaped my my

thinking these various experiences that

I've had both in the UK as well as here

in Makkah and it's always been a dream

for me over the last 15 years or so to

create a school that can really flourish

in both the Dunya aspect the worldly

academic side of things as well as the

Hereafter perspective our Islamic values

and ultimately although it came in a

very different form to the way I

envisaged it 15 odd years ago but from

that came lady Evelyn independent school

and really what is Lady evil at

Independent School in a nutshell it's a

private school with extremely extremely

high academic standards all within an

Islamic ethos so ultimately we are very

strong in trying to practice the Hadith

of the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam

when he says

that Allah has prescribed excellence in

everything Excellence you strive for

excellence in everything

so the example of the Prophet salallahu

gave up Excellence is of sacrificing

um an animal so when you are even

slaughtering an animal for eating or

whatever then you must do so in the best

of ways with excellence and this is a

really like an extreme example taking

the life of an animal

um

even in such a situation we must strive

for excellence the blade has to be

extremely sharp you have to mention

Allah's name you can't hurt the animal

etc etc etc and all of these things the

prophet sallam gave he gave this example

of taking the life of an animal

to show that if we must strive for

excellence even when we're taking the

life of an animal Sheltering it for

eating then what about everything else

in our lives we must strive for

excellence in our religion we must

strive for excellence in our morals in

our manners in our character in our

Academia at work we must have the

highest of standards and the highest of

ethics and so that ultimately is what

lady Evelyn independent school is all
