Transcripts
oh man all right cool I feel like I
needed to talk to you lot because it's
been it's been a while it's been a while
that I've done one of these videos I
feel like I've just been pushing out
content which is gaming content but this
is kind of like speaking to my community
audience you lot the people that
subscribe and support me to get to where
I've got to today uh I really appreciate
every single one of you lot I wanted to
just you
know bring just talk you know I feel
like that that's where I wanted to I
just wanted to talk today and talk about
like some of the situations I've been
going through for the past year two
years and stuff which has caused me to
probably be streaming without a webcam
on you know products defec in and stuff
like that so whether you're new or old I
kind of give you a brief rundown about
who I am so my name is Justin King J I
do professional gaming content right I I
started off playing in trodo
and then I started to go to tournaments
then I started traveling overseas became
a twitch partner then an ambassador and
then I got a studio the reason for
having a studio is because at the time
like I have a daughter
now the space where I was streaming from
was becoming pretty much impossible for
it to be a creative space because you
know my daughter's going to want toys
she's going to want things and the the
home wasn't it just wasn't wasn't it for
what I wanted and I felt myself kind of
like losing the creative control right
so I decided to look around for a
creative workspace where I'm in where
I'm in control of what the backdrop
looks like and just felt like where I'm
at right now was the right space I was
looking for like two months ID say two
months I was looking for a space I I
moved into the space I done the video
and yeah I was really happy because I
felt like it was a step in the right
direction it was just like okay I've got
creative space of what I'm doing I can
now do collaborations and stuff like
that uh I had a whole goal of what I
wanted to do right for me the channel
was grown from when I first moved there
to now like we're on 80 82 81 82,000
subscribers on YouTube uh hopefully we
get to 100K before we leave um but yeah
no it's been it's a big big step up even
like just the change in my content
content the equipment everything else
but yeah mve when I first moved into it
I was really excited and I you know the
price yeah I know it can be a bit but at
the same time it was like it was kind of
like my freedom to do what I need to do
and call it work properly rather than
you know waking up waking out of bed and
just being like all right yeah I'm just
going to the front room to stream it was
like yeah you're going to work and
there's other creatives in the in
different different rooms as well
they're doing different things you know
you have people that that do massages
you have people that do podcasts
photography loads of different things
you know like agencies as well there's
loads of different like companies so it
felt like work everyone's doing their
own thing and it just felt good to me
fast forward on I've had some issues and
the issues came from that the studio
that I have there's no windows the the
space of it square feet of it is cool
but it was there's just no air there's
no ventilation and everything that I
have in there being a gamer it builds up
heat your PC the PS5 the the the
monitors the camera the ring light you
know even if I'm using other lights that
all builds up here and there's no
there's no air so the solution was
opening up the door where I where you
come into the studio right or well my
door but like even on this floor there
is no air whatsoever there air there's
no air so like there's another security
door we had we had to open just for the
air to be flowing through and we spoke
to the community manager about it
because it was just like yeah this is
it's not it's not health and safety
right like there's no air in summer oh
my gosh in summer it's absolutely crazy
like there was readings um of 36ยฐ in my
room whereas outside it would be
24ยฐ so I was always kind of getting
these issues in the summer and a main
reason why I was traveling a lot last
year is because I didn't want to have to
deal with that problem you know it it's
it's annoying because my business is all
online so if I can't go online then what
am I doing right all right so I'm going
to break down the business right so the
business side of it is I'm a content
creator so I produce content on YouTube
with YouTube you get paid with AdSense
right so that's kind of like advertising
on my videos pre-rolls mid rolls and the
more views I get the money that you get
paid depending on which country you're
in the other one is Twitch where I
stream which is live streaming me play
games people can watch me around the
world right you get people that
subscribe so you get like funny types of
faces or emotes they call them what you
can post while you're on the live stream
and that's exclusive to people that sub
you also get no ads as well you also get
the bits which is the twitch currency
also some of the people they donate as
well to support the stream and just to
upgrade equipment and stuff like that so
that's another source so that's twitch
YouTube and then on top of it you have
patreon which is like exclusive behind
the scenes content for people that
subscribe to it that's again that's
another paid feature then you've got
brand deals as you know brand deals
doesn't happen all the time and
sometimes you can get good brand deals
sometimes you can get brands that don't
really align with what's going on and
it's up to the Creator to whether they
want to accept or not so these are the
ways how I make money for the business
to grow feel like maybe because I'm here
and I'm the only gamer in the building
maybe they think I just sit down and
play games and you know I just muck
around when that's not the case I've
been on billboards I've had like the
best Tekken player in the world come
here from Korea I've had a WWE Superstar
come here and there's so I feel like
maybe they just don't understand what
I'm trying to do and maybe this space
isn't the right space for I want to do
we have had some good times here like I
said having those people come here and
play games and stuff like that hang out
and chill it's amazing this was what the
studio was meant to be for like Not only
was I meant to be ating content here and
streaming I was meant to be doing loads
of collabs have people come over have
like some fun streams and stuff but what
I found myself doing is just streaming
by myself and for me paying extra part
of rent it doesn't really make sense for
me to be here streaming by myself and
not be able to bring anyone else because
the room gets too hot right so we have
to think of another plan so that's why I
just started traveling quite a lot last
year because I was just like yeah I need
to get content at least if I can't
stream or do content in here then I need
to go and do content overseas and start
filming and stuff and that stuff would
for me was great but again traveling
overseas with your own money it costs a
lot and it does take its toll on myself
especially that I have a team
now like when I first started I never
had a team but now I have a team I have
a team of editors a a graphic designer I
have a personal assistant I have an
accountant all of these things they need
to be paid for so if I'm paying for
these things and I can't do work then
how is the business flowing yeah like
the the issue is you know there's no we
have no airon in my room we have no
airon in the corridor on this floor so
there's just everyone but I would say
majority of people that in here they'll
feel the heat and it's embarrassing
right personally it's just for me it's
embarrassing I don't want to bring
someone in and be like hey man like come
to my studio it's in summer and it's
just baking off so I've got fans in here
I've had to buy like loads of different
fans just to make sure it's there's cool
air and it's just it's not ideal you
know just to sum it up even the airor in
there which is like the mobile one you
got put water in still doesn't do much
still reading 30 to 36ยฐ in my room when
outside is not that so it causes a lot
of issues for me because I'm just like
well what can I do my PS5 died because
of it and that's something that I didn't
explain uh when the PS5 did die the PS5
shut off because it was too hot in the
room all right Future King J here I just
want to say a massive thank you to
PlayStation just for sending me a brand
new one and it then led me to be like if
my PC dies I've spent five grand on my
PC if it dies I am not spending another
five grand on my PC so it's made me be
very wary of of when I can stream you
know sometimes I'll come in the evenings
to stream and I'll do late night streams
because that's when the Sun goes down
but when the Sun is up in the daytime I
can't stream so then that way I'm pretty
much losing out on Revenue I personally
believe that when it comes to being here
and getting the support I'm not getting
the support that I need it's it's
difficult because there's a lot of
things that I'm trying to deal deal with
and this situation becomes I don't know
I'm I feel like I'm losing my words here
because it's kind of like an emotional
thing for me trying to push forward in
the career space that I'm in and be
creative and then go through all of
these kind of hurdles does take his toll
on you right it's kind of like you're
trying to do all these things and it
just seems like there's always these
obstacles I did speak to the people at
the studio
and it just seems like they don't want
to install a airon I've asked several
times I've been there for 3 years I've
asked what the prices what can we do
this and other I've then kind of like
suggested do we talk to the council
that's here from that they I don't know
whether they took that as a threat or
whether they I I don't know what they
took it as but the reason why I
suggested going to the council and
asking or if we should is because like I
don't think working in this heat with no
windows make sense and leaving my
leaving my front door open for a day to
be air when like this is meant to be a
private room doesn't make sense right
there's other rooms that they have that
are cheaper where they have like the
glass panel like if you go a studio then
you'll know exactly what I mean they've
got like a glass panel so that you can
kind of see what the other person's
doing or what the other business is
doing and I didn't want that like if I'm
being a streamer I want to be able to
kind of like just be myself not have
someone looking in knowing what I'm
doing like I just want to be able to
just create my content with you know the
guests that I have without any of that
stuff happening so when looking for a
studio you never ever think oh Windows
is a big thing but trust me in the heat
is definitely a big thing yeah they
decided to not renew my contract that's
where we're at right now I'm out of the
studio in November so yeah the the next
two months I'm pretty much just going to
be grinding and working I don't
know where the future holds for me like
right now I don't know whether I'm going
to get another studio uh or am I just
going to get another place like an
apartment or you know just a a flat to
just do my streaming I I can't go back
to the place where I was before because
again it's it's there's no space to
stream there so that's why now I'm just
like I don't know how this is all going
to work it's quite annoying it's quite
frustrating there ain't really much I
can really say about it the most the
most I can do is be transparent to my
audience and just say look this is what
happens maybe at November there might be
a break
and I might not stream for a bit just to
figure out what's going on from here on
out we're going to be doing streams like
you know the September is still
happening for twitch so we've got some
giveaways that we're going to do because
I'm not going to be able to take
everything that I have back so you know
I'm going to do some giveaways second of
all we're going to be doing a lot of
YouTube content obviously we're getting
we're moving into the winter so it's not
going to be as hot as how it is so maybe
we'll be able to do like a stream
friends thing in October I have no idea
if we are going to do that or not but
there will be guests happening and then
yeah just roll on November and let's
just see what happens man all in all I
just wanted to say thank you lot so much
you know
from from just even like where where we
started off at you know we started off
at like
streaming at my dad's a bunk bed is in
the background playing teeken Tac 2o you
know and
obviously moved on to Tekken 7 became
part of District G which was the Esports
team and started traveling you know
started understanding traveling you know
Tekken eight here travel to you know
Japan for Evo Japan travel to Las Vegas
for the other evil and these things are
not cheap you know so when we first got
here it was like 60,000 was it 6 no I
think it was like we was on at least
50,000 subscribers we're now on 880,000
so 81,000 it's a
climb but as you may know with most
things some things just have to come to
an end man and this was a great era like
I'm not looking at it as oh I'm upset
with what's going on I just feel like we
need to move on you know we need to move
forward
because at the end of the day there's
been issues here and it's been difficult
to kind of Rectify or even have a
solution and I just don't feel like
moving forward that this space is is the
right space for what I need to do
because I don't want my PC to die I
don't want other things to start dying
so yeah we just need to figure it out
like even there's another incident
before I wrap this video up there's
another incident where the internet was
down in the studio but it was down for a
whole month and then there was meant to
be a 5G dongle for everyone and there's
no way I could stream on a 5G dongle so
that means I didn't work for a whole
month but I still paid full rent like
these things it becomes quite difficult
for me because with what I'm doing I
have to provide for a team and I also
have to provide you know for the rent
and all the other bills and stuff that I
have to pay for and I've never ever been
late paying no rent for anything
so yeah we just need to move forward it
was a great era I appreciate every
single one of you lot cuz again I
wouldn't be here without you lot
watching leaving comments subscribing
you L might think it's a cliche thing
that subscribers say I mean streamers or
content creators say but nah I wouldn't
wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you so
just want to say a big thank you yeah
I've kind of lost for words man like
it's it's definitely super emotional for
me because we pushed to a stage and I
feel like I want to get to the next
stage but right now I don't know how but
all I know is your support would
definitely be appreciated over the next
two months
and yeah man we'll just see where we can
go from here man but again thank you lot
so much
just keep supporting man it means a lot
and you will see the results of your
support for me and how far I can take
this thank you all very
much nice
oh
oh
oh personally you could definitely
you can definitely win you can defit
that's what I'm hoping yeah you can
definitely do your thing I need so uh my
my goal is to hopefully at some
tournament this year make top
32
yeah f
