explain what each of the 4Rs means. Number one is RESEARCH. At the start of your answer to the
question, what are your salary expectations, tell the hiring manager you have RESEARCHED the salary
for the job and industry. Telling the hiring manager you have done your research means they
are less likely to offer you a low salary. You can easily research the salary range for your job,
role and industry on the website GlassDoor.com. Number two is RANGE. Next, in your answer to the
question what are your salary expectations, tell the hiring manager what the salary RANGE is. You
can say for example, I have researched the salary for this position and industry and the range
is between 55,000 and $68,000! Number three is REQUEST. So next in your answer, tell the hiring
manager what your REQUESTED salary is from that range. I recommend you pitch your salary request
slightly below the top end of the salary range. For example, if the highest salary range figure
is $68,000, consider asking for 66,000. This is a clever strategy because it shows you all being
respectful. Number four is REASONS. Finally, in your answer, finish off by giving the REASONS why
the hiring manager should give you your requested salary. Okay, so now in the next section of this

three reasons why I am worth $66,000. First, I will bring a passion and enthusiasm to the
role and a commitment to achieving the company's commercial goals. Second, I will be flexible in my
job description ensuring you get extra value from my salary. And third, I have skills beyond the
job description. For example, I am good at social media marketing and can help the company reach a
wider audience online, which will help increase revenues. Now my second answer to the question
what are your salary expectations is one where you do not give the hiring manager a requested salary
figure. Instead, you ask them what salary they would like to offer you. Here it is. What are your
salary expectations? Answer option number two. My salary expectations are in line with the industry
standards, the responsibilities of the role, and the knowledge and experience I can add to
