like to heartily congratulate uh victory
for the way this chapter has been moving
very steadily but very surely uh as far
as the growth and business is
concerned now before I go forward with
my uh presentation I just want to know
how many of you would like to take your
business business to the next
level everybody yes that is why you are
here but before I tell you how that can
be done I would like to ask you a
question especially the
visitors when you did your last major
purchase let's say maybe a
car maybe the latest TV or for that
matter even a fine dine
restaurant how did you take that
decision if you think over it you will
realize that in most of these cases
besides of course doing checking the
reviews you ask some of your friends or
uh Associates right okay because when we
are referred by our friends or
Associates we get that additional
confident confidence in taking the
decision as customers we would like to
be referred so also as suppliers as
businessmen we would like to be referred
to our proc prospective clients do you
agree with this okay
so you know there was a study
conducted uh of hundreds of uh highly
successful businessmen and what came out
is networking and referrals formed a
major part of their uh success uh in the
business so referals are a best way to
take your business to the next level and
BNI is the most successful and the
largest business organization of its
type in the
world just to give you an
idea last year globally we have three
lakhs plus members as far as B is
concerned last 12 months we did a
business globally of 24 billion
us to put it in
perspective if you take the GDP of the
country
you know USA is the highest then comes
China India comes Fifth and so on and
you put them in the descending
order BNI will stand above 100 countries
that means there'll be 100 countries
below
BNI as far as their GDP is concerned
weav is the business done by only three
lakhs of members of BNI and what is that
business it is not that total turnover
it is the business that they are getting
out of from their BNI membership alone
so that is the impact BNI is creating
globally in Goa in fact we did a
turnover of nearly about 450 crores in
the last 12 months okay which works
out so friends uh why BNI is so
successful BNI is so successful there
are four
reasons you know the one and the most
important is our philosophy the
philosophy of givers gain we believe the
more you give the more you get okay and
that philosophy has with the uh you know
times immemorial and it is a universal
law you know the more you give the more
you
get second is uh the systems okay you
would you have seen how the meeting goes
it starts on dot it ends on dot okay it
goes about in a very systematic fashion
so that there is no time lost okay you
must have seen some of the meetings
which go on and on and produce no
results you will see in this meeting
producing business at the end of it so
every week business is getting generated
for the members of this uh uh chapter
like this in in Goa alone we have 16
chapters we have 875 businessmen and
professionals members of those chapters
very soon we are launching two more
chapters and we are moving towards
thousand plus so we are gaining strength
and this thousand plus becomes a
community which is exchanging business
among each other but is not only in the
region as uh Alpha talked to you BNI I
connect we can connect ourselves to
three lakh plus people throughout the
world that's what happens now friends
this is the second one that is as far as
the systems is concerned third is
education all of you I'm sure know that
networking is very important business
referrals are important but in which
school or college is it
thought no no school or college teaches
you this our founder Dr Ivan mner has
written nearly 25 books which deal with
this subject and the contents of this
book is compiled and we have training
programs which are offered to the
members so that they are in a position
to improve their networking skills and
grow their
business so and we do believe you know
the more you learn the more you earn
finally is the commitment of the members
itself uh you must have seen we are
talking about some specific figures up
to the last rupe because everything is
recorded we talked about centurions you
know somebody scoring 100 points because
everybody's accountable and that is the
commitment members bring to the table
because they are committed things happen
the sort of people that we are looking
out is uh you know to be a part of I
nobody can uh anybody cannot just apply
for and become a member there is a

Hunters you know what does Hunter do he
just shoots the prey roasts and eat it
but what do the farmers do they plow the
field They Se the seeds they water the
plants they nurture them you get the
fruits and again the same process begins
okay so we are looking at people who are
interested in long-term relationships
okay and therefore they need to have
farmer mentality and that is why these
are these the the commitment which the
members make all together the systems
the commitment the education and the
philosophy ultimately makes BNI
extremely
successful I will uh do it with a small
example sandip right yeah can you uh uh
volunteer to have a small chat with me
okay so sandip can you tell us once
again what are you
into uh basically I'm into Plumbing uh
materials distribution of pipes pipes of
all kinds of materi be steel be PVC so
basically
that dra and who are your customers in
terms of segments uh in terms of
segments uh I would say pipe is required
everywhere and uh uh basically uh our
Target customers are uh projects like
contractors contractors yes Builders
Builders yeah basically and we do some
retail work also so the
dealers okay now let us say if we talk
about a builder okay what would be the
sort of value of the business you may
get from a builder in a year because he
may have multiple projects uh let's say
somewhere around 10 lakhs 8 to 10 lakhs
8 to 10 lakhs and uh contractor with say
a bigger
project that depends on the size of the
project but uh average wise you can get
somewhere around 12 to 15 good great
thank you so now uh uh please uh I would
request all the members if you know that
Mr sandip supplies quality products his

and Builders can you can you anybody
refer him to any contractors or

fantastic now uh let's say uh you
receive only about uh 3 to four two to
three referrals every week okay and 50%
of that get converted say two referrals
would that be somewhere around on an
average about 10 into two that is about
20 lakhs
okay so 20 lakhs if you get business on
forget weekly even on a monthly basis
that means it would be nearly two and 2
and a half crores in a year would that
be a good business for you this is
exactly what happens in BNI you are not
selling to the room you are selling to
the network of the people who are in the
room okay so that is why BNI is
extremely successful uh friends uh
business is one BNI offers uh advantages
benefits on many other fronts if you
look at personal growth there are people
who were not in a position to even talk
in in front of people today they are
Fier speakers in BNI okay because this
happens on a weekly basis people do get
confidence there are people taking
leadership roles they develop leadership
skills on a personal level they start
moving up the uh on the professional
front okay there are so many system that
are being used by BNI the members can
use similar systems like the traffic
lights Etc in order to manage their
business much better okay
and BNI forms a support system Beyond
business you will find that the members
are because you build so strong
relationships that members are ready to
help you on multiple fronts forget the

offers in fact we go beyond just
business in the room and in the chapter
we uh you know provide service to the
community we have something called as
BNI foundation and business voices okay
and we have
been actually trying to inculcate the
entrepreneural habits in uh students in
college students and otherwise in fact
uh you know business voices besides I

besides business for ourselves we do a
