hey girlfriends welcome back to my
channel
I know it's been a while and I am so
deeply sorry for that I have had a lot
of things going on in my life personal
and business-wise and I'm just really
piecing everything back together but I'm
here with the videos just to show you
the takedown method and what the
rubberband method did to my hair so my
hair has been in for approximately three
weeks and I have some new growth I have
a lot of product build-up and of course
you all know what the rubberband method
I have rubber bands in each section of
my hair and we're always seeing these
gorgeous gorgeous box braids or twists
after the rubberband method but what
happens after weeks go by and your hair
starts growing what happens with your
hair and that rubberband interactions so
I'm going to show you all I'm gonna be
safe for the first time and you all are
probably going to be seen for the first
time also if you have not already done
it on your hair
[Music]

okay so I cut all my hair oh well I
thought oh wait a minute chef okay so
now I cut all my hair no I did this duh
this go sex it's time okay hold on let
me cut this and I'll be right back
okay take three so I cut all of the
extensions off this time all of them so
what I'm going to do is just start
taking it out and I'll just let you all
in on what's been going on with me so I
lost my grandmother my father's mom I'm
August 13th she was the matriarch of my
family I took it very very hard some of
you who follow me on Instagram if you do
follow me on Instagram you know that I
took it real hard and it's just
something that you're not really
prepared to deal with even though you
have prepared I know I was you know
trying to prepare myself but there's no
way to prepare for death she passed away
due to cancer and but she lived a really
really good life so the personal aspect
of my life that was another reason why I
kind of fell off in my a I went down to
Georgia I went to her funeral and you
know it was it was a good time because
she was very very loved and it was a lot
of people who came out just to you know
see her one last time and just to pay
their respect so it made me feel good to
know that she was very loved that is
definitely my twin I'll post a picture
of her you know a couple of pictures
just to show y'all I know y'all probably
like oh boy we don't know her like that
but that's that was my heart that was my
all like she was my other mom you know
what I mean so you bet that really you
know
put me in a kind of a funky space but
now it's been about been about almost
four weeks and also you know to bring
light to the video and not to like gloom
it out for you all but I have started on
my first events here in Washington DC I
am planning my first event and I'm
putting it together so I really like
throwing myself into that and that also
has taken a lot of my time and a lot of
my focus so that's another reason why I
haven't really posted any videos I've
been recording don't get me wrong I've
been recording on and off but for me as
a youtuber I feel like it's not perfect
I won't post it I like my imperfections
to be perfect too if y'all can
understand that it's just like you know
we're planning an event it's really
really time-consuming it's expensive but
if you have you know the backing that
you need with sponsors I surprisingly
got four great sponsors for my event one
of them being curls so they're gonna be
saving me some things to put him on the
swag bag for that Cindy's for for the
event which I literally cried because
it's freaking curls like they're
blueberry bliss
Jill is amazing okay so now I'm finished
taking out all of my braids and you can
see the build-up and the new growth from
where the rubber band sits and where my
hair grew it out in three weeks I have a
lot of product build-up from the
products that I've used and also my hair
feels not very dry but it's dry and I
did mention in my video that I when I
was putting the braids in that that
Kanekalon can't go wrong whatever how do
you say that word that synthetic hair
will dry your hair out so you want to
make sure you add enough product for the
length of time that you know that you're
gonna leave your braids so let's try to
take these rubber bands out and see how
tank would or maybe not tangled my hair
is around these rubber bands like I said
it's been three weeks I just zoomed
y'all in real quick so I'm going to try
to take them out using my hands first
just to see y'all pray for me and I'm
just doing
slowly so I know I won't tangle my hair
up the biggest fault of detangling I
mean not detangling but taking rubber
bands out of your hair is rushing and
taking them out so if you can see I only
have that much hair tangled in the
rubber band which that's still too much
for me but it's not a whole blob or like
a whole thing of hair look at that
buildup lll-look watched a song calm

and then you do have the option of once
you get like a little bit of your hit
your rubber band away from your hair the
option of taking scissors and snipping
it and just taking your hair out that
way that'll be the if you don't want to
preserve any rubber bands but as you can
see there's no hair there's no hair left
on the rubber band there's no hair left
on the rubber band but it is a pape
rubber band but who cares about rubber
bands girl oh no I like them I like the
box brakes using the rubber band method
but I would think I would try more to do
it with just gripping and practicing
like that because at some point it
depends on how fast your hair grows or
how thick it grows and how kinky your
hair is and how cool your hair is your
hair may wrap around that rubber band as
it's growing out so you may get some
type of breakage I don't think that I've
gotten too much breakage I feel like I'm
a little light right here my edges look
ok I've always been thin around my
temples right here but for the most part
I feel like there there was no breakage
so I'm going to give the rubberband
method a thumbs up maybe not every time
you do your um box braids just try to
practice the regular way to do it to
grip your hair but definitely this is
great for beginners trying to grip their
hair and trying to perfect this style if
you like this video and you found it
very informative go ahead and give me a
thumbs up or comment and if you really
really like this video or any of my
other videos go ahead and subscribe also
I am trying to reach 5k or more on my
Instagram so I can do a giveaway I
haven't done a giveaway in so long so if
you're not following me on instagram
