Transcripts
all right let's jump to the main slate
and we'll start with the
Buccaneers hosting the Denver Broncos
kind of an interesting game script last
week for the bucks just kept shutting
down the lines in the Red Zone Chris
Godwin seemed like he caught every
single pass but they did I don't did
they have the ball in the second half I
don't know like but uh you like someone
on the other side for this one right
yeah I'm going to go with my boy Greg
dolit here at 2900 so he's extremely
cheap but you know one of the weakest
positions right now the tight end
position is a mess so um like him is a
cheap Dart throw uh he's ran a healthy
uh 68% route run rate uh so far through
two games last week he he actually Drew
eight targets only caught three of them
for 16 yards U so there was potential
for more there I still like him as a
talent I again I think he reminds me of
TJ hackinson um and you know rookie
bonck tends to throw underneath so I
think think doul is going to continue to
be you know one of his top targets
especially in what should be you know a
trailing game script where Denver is
going to have to throw quite a bit so I
think DWI is you know a decent bet to
catch four or five balls so at
2900 uh I think that's a no-brainer play
I don't think he's going to be too
highly owned as well like I said he only
caught three balls for 16 yards last
week so there's really no recency bias
but the underlying usage does suggest
you know he could have a Breakout game
here in the near future
yeah I mean I feel like B Knicks kind of
helps you know all that low efficiency
throwing underneath and what not it just
get lets you rack up attempts and I mean
who knows if doich makes it through the
season but he's healthy now so it's time
to invest in him all right uh what's up
what we got up next let's see let's go
to a a much better game than I think
these first to Texans at Vikings the
Texans are two and a half Point Road
favorites a total 46 and a half I got to
go back to to Naylor again he's still
4,400 and last week he bumped up to a
100% route rate now of course you know
Addison was out and Justin Jefferson got
hurt but the important thing is that as
I expected he jumped Brandon Powell so
even if Jefferson plays Addison returns
I think jayen still is a top three wide
receiver in a game which you know
Houston as much respect as I have for
Brian Flores in this defense uh Houston
could put up a lot of points you know
they're always a threat so I think this
is another good spot for Jaylen Naylor
you know I was tempted to go with my guy
Johnny Mt here because he's kind of the
the by low but nailor I mean 100% route
rate I just don't turn that down uh
especially with a guy who I actually
like the talent and there's a few
different ways for him to cash whether
it's you know if if guys are out or if
they're back you know he gets more
single coverage less attention so either
way uh like jayen Naylor running every
route playing every snap last week 4,400
this week yeah and I think he's been
your Dart throw in both Viking games so
far and he has a touchdown in both games
so got to keep that streak on yeah I
can't get off him now exactly well
here's a game we might want to get off
uh Chargers Steelers I mean the Chargers
are around six and a half points per
game through two weeks the
Steelers uh have a an 18o show and a
13-point showing so what are you doing
in this one yeah not a game uh you
really want to invest in um but I got
another cheap tight end that again I
promise this will be my last one of the
week but it's Hayden Hurst at
2900 uh he's run a pretty healthy route
run rate this year at 78% uh been fairly
quiet with you know lad makoni and
Quinton Johnson stepping up uh early on
um and certainly that could continue but
this is just going to be a pretty
volatile pass catching group now that
they moved on from Austin Eckler Mike
Williams Keenan Allen of course Gerald
Everett so um you know any given week
someone else could be the number one
target so who knows this week it could
be Hayden Hurst he's out there running
enough routes it could happen uh this
week so I think that you know his
ownership's going to be super low he's
super cheap uh this would be the time to
to invest in them in you know three to
four catches for you know 30 to 40 yards
in a potential touchdown would be more
than enough for him at this price and I
think he's more than capable of doing
that yeah I mean he's he's he's getting
the under lound usage and that's that's
really what matters yeah in this I mean
tight end oh man but uh I do have kind
of a tight end but he's not actually a
tight end he's a wide receiver Johnny
Wilson in Eagles Saints now you know
this is one that people probably a
little more excited for than they
thought they would be the Saints have
been putting up some some numbers here
and uh the Eagles defense looks
vulnerable but the reason I'm going to
the Eagles side is AJ Brown is slated to
miss more time and Wilson is is a rookie
who played 10 snaps in his first game 19
snaps in week two despite entering with
a hamstring injury he's only gotten one
Target in each of those two games but
that's kind of how rookies come along
but the average up the target over 20
for him so this is a guy who when they
get in the red zone and he could be a
Target down the field he might only need
to make one big play or do one thing to
pay off at 3,300 so and doson is really
kind of disappointing as well so there
is an opening there if the eagles need
to to look more to the pass game Beyond
Smith you know be beyond that top three
so uh give me Wilson the
rookie oh man another ugly oh sorry go
ahead he uh he drew a uh Endzone Target
right I I don't remember was it his F or
Herz that he didn't catch it I think the
throw is a bit high but he did draw an
inzone Target so he's drawing downfield
targets and Endzone targets that's
exactly what you want from your Dart
throw and Britain cvy uh actually
operated as the number three wide out
last week because you know Wilson was uh
questionable coming in and he had a work
out with the training staff pregame and
I think it was running up to kickoff to
get clearance but this week uh you know
cvy might be relegated to his normal
special teams role if Wilson is
healthier because you don't usually
don't see cvy playing much many snaps at
wide receiver unless there's an injury
so uh looking for an uptick with Wilson
but who do you like in this
ugly
Packer titanus two and a half 3 uh minus
3 37 is the total I mean it's it's it's
an ugly one how did did how the hell did
you set up this I'm getting all these
games and you get um you get Vikes
Texans Eagle Saints and I'm getting
these garbage ass uh no uh producer d p
me with all the good I didn't even go
into that one until the day of the I'm
just kid hey I I I thrive in these ugly
games remember I'm the Thursday night
football expert so I thrive in these
ugly games yeah yeah like the ugliest
play possible DeAndre Hopkins at $5,300
absolutely terrible price per dollar do
not use him in cash games but I think he
is worth a dart throw in some gpps
because his stock could just not get any
lower right now um off to a very quiet
start because we thought he might
actually miss the first couple of games
he had that pretty bad MCL sprain um so
he hasn't been 100% but last week he got
uh a full week of practice in he was
actually removed off the injury report
and he saw his routes run rate double
this week up to 51% um unfortunately he
didn't do much in that playing time but
you know his playing time's only going
to go up um and it's DeAndre Hopkins he
he's due for his one or two blowup games
and then just put up a bunch of Duds the
rest of the way but I think that this is
a game where you know he could have you
know four catches six yards and
touchdown or two and no one's G to have
him so I think just this is a week just
to kind of spend up to be contrarian
when it comes to him again just sprinkle
him in do not use him in cash he's way
too expensive uh but I think this is the
lowest point Hopkins will get all season
so I think he's worth a flyer in some
gpps because of
that yeah no I mean it will Lis that was
his guy I think it was what his first or
second start he throws four touchdowns
to the Hopkins and this is I mean it
would be so under the radar because like
you said it's it's not going to pop as a
a price per dollar Play Because hop we
don't know EX exactly where the the snap
rate will end up in the first week it
was I mean almost nonexistent and then
last week it was like 5050 so does he
keep bumping up or does he stay in that
range they do have guys like Burks who
could play the number four spot so uh
yeah I like that contrarian uh
play I'm gonna go to Giants at Browns
and I'm Gonna Roll with Deontay Foreman
the Giants allowed both Brian Robinson
Jr and Austin Eckler to post uh 10 or
more half PPR points last to without
touchdowns Robinson 17 for 133 on the
ground added a three- yard catch and
Eckler eight for 38 On The Ground Three
for 47 through the air and we know
Pierre strong who is you know kind of
rotating in in what was a three-back
committee uh or was probably planning to
be a three-back toit he's a little bit
banged up now and they did use a three
back committee committee excuse me at
various points last year after chub went
down with Kareem Hunt Ford and then
Pierre strong so I think Foreman is a
guy who you know he saw a good work last
week and he could end up being there
number one he you kind of mentioned on
another P he was in there early and
ended up with uh was it 14 carries uh
including one at the uh right at the
goal line which unfor fortunately didn't
convert it almost fumble but I do think
there's some upside here we've seen
Foreman kind of pop at random times in
his career just he's talking about
coming out of nowhere he'll pop for like
a 100 yard game or two and then just go
back to the rb3 slot so good time to uh
back Foreman with the Cleveland Browns
home favorites against this Giants uh
team that's just struggling on both
sides of the ball all right we got the
Bears coming off the short week going to
Indianapolis coming off a disappointing
showing against other former division
foe Malik Willis now there's another
spot where you just you don't quite know
what you're gonna get from the
quarterbacks two very talented guys but
it's been up and down for Anthony
Richards has been up and down Caleb
Williams what do you like in this one
yeah I mean for Dart throws you could
try to figure out which Colt will get
the the lone accurate 50 yard ball
downfield from Richardson good luck
trying to predict that especially with
Jos it's GNA be well yeah it's always
going to be o Pierce isn't it it's never
going to be Mitchell damn it uh so yeah
you can go with Al Pierce here or you
could try to invest in this shitty Bears
backfield right now um ah yeah I was
deciding like you could either go
DeAndre Swift or KH Herbert I'm gonna go
the ultra contrarian route and go KH
Herbert at 5K because you know this
entire Bears offense has struggled
including DeAndre Swift so um there's a
few talented backups behind him that
could overtake him at any given point I
think Herbert would be next up so we
could see Herbert start to get more work
and you know go with more of a hot hand
approach here um plus Herbert converted
on his goal line attempt for a touchdown
on S football against the Texans so that
just increases the chances that if they
do get another goal line Rush attempt
here it would most likely go to Herbert
so I think he has some sneaky touchdown
upside here and again um you know
there's a nonzero chance that he could
just Leap Frog Swift and overtake him
here as a lead back so I think he's
worth uh just a dart throw and a very
big gpp he's going to be very low owned
but this is a volatile situation where
anything can happen so in these
situations I think it makes sense to
kind of take a flyer on a backup running
back like uh C
Herbert yeah what a weird uh situation
in that bears backfield you had Swift
would you get 12 carries for 14 yards
yeah you had uh Roshan Johnson as a
scratch week one and vas Jones was
operating as a running back then John
isn't active but doesn't get a carry
Travis Homer's playing ahead of all of
them somehow uh it's just a weird weird
uh Bears backfield but yeah they need I
mean Herbert has shown well in the past
we' both I remember that one didn't you
hit his uh prop it was either the first
play of the game or the last play of the
game he like his first it was his first
Rush attempt yeah when we knew we knew
exactly the rotation it was um D mon get
the first two drives and then Herbert R
get the third and they would rotate from
there on out um but yeah Herbert like
like you said he's shown some pop I
think he has 11 total yards on the
season so he also hasn't this is really
the entire offense is a problem the
offensive Line's a problem um but
they're not going to bench Caleb
Williams so they could make you know
Swift be the first scapegoat uh and and
my guess uh so yeah just it's a volatile
situation I would not be using a ton of
Herbert uh but if you want to go
contrarian I think you could certainly
do worse than
him all right the next game up is the
Miami Dolphins without to a tongue of
ioa uh with the concussion looks like
he's going on IR they go to Seattle to
face the Seahawks who are two and 0 and
I'm going to roll with couple of tight
ends in this one Noah Fant on the
Seahawks side and he's really been quiet
for these last few years uh does have
some talent but with you know the with
metf going off and Smith and jiga and
then Lockett the week before with Walker
who's out I think the only guy really
that still hasn't made noise is Noah fan
and he's getting the underlying uses his
route rates around 75% it's not that
like three-way committee with Kobe
Parkinson anymore so uh you know this is
just a true dark throw on you know
everyone else on that seah offense has
had had a moment and fans been on the
field and then for the Dolphins jnu
Smith who may may see some attention
because he did have uh six catches for
53 yards and seven targets last week but
I think he's interesting because they
just used him essentially as a wide
receiver last week and he ran a
route from the slot 58% of the time and
then out wide uh another 32% of the time
so that's 90% of the time he was not in
line at tight end they are using you
know guys like Hill and SMI and Tanner
Connor as well so Julian Hill that is so
at tight end so jonu Smith might be a
guy who Skyler Thompson's probably not
gonna get too much down the field maybe
he leans on Janu again in this one but I
like the you
and zero pass blocks for JN Smith in
that game against Buffalo 31 pass snaps
31 routes run that's that's what you
like to see out of a tight end Sky
Thompson has been terrible but that
could actually work in jnu's favor
yep Panthers Andy Dalton New Era old era
I don't know whatever you want to call
it but uh they're going to Vegas and
Vegas is a what they I know it went down
from Seven I think it's a four five
right now yeah four or five let's see
exactly I'm
curious what was the Andy D
bump five and a half so about a point
about a point and a half when it might
be worth more than that uh who do you
like in this one total is is is pretty
low too but yeah it went up to 41 it was
under it was about 38 39 before the
Bryce Young News yeah I like uh trba
hubber here 5200 a much better play in
this price range compared to like C
Herbert Hubbert I would actually
consider in cash games I think he's
offering quite a bit of value but you
know Annie Dalton's GNA give this
offense a boost so you could yeah take a
flyer on Deontay Johnson um Adam felen
guys like that will certainly get a
boost but I think hubbert's gonna get
arguably the best boost because just
it's going to be a much more efficient
offense they're going to convert third
Downs which will set up early Downs for
you know Hubbert to get a run um he's
really operating as the pass catching
back so I think Dalton will also uh make
sure to check down quite a bit so I just
like hub's upside um you know running
the ball passing and possibly getting
some goal line Chances with Annie Dalton
under Center so just a lot to like with
this this offense um shifting to Dalton
I think uh people are probably still
going to be down the Panthers which
rightfully so but I think this is a
great time to invest in someone like
hubber especially against the Raiders um
he's 5200 like this this price um you
know based on my projection for him he
should probably be worth closer to like
6,500 uh is where my expected salary is
so I think you're getting a really good
value on him again great for cash games
but also for gpps I don't think he's
going to be that highly owned I don't
think people are racing to to invest in
Panther players but I think hubard could
be under the radar this week for a
pretty good
week yeah I mean we kind of talked about
this in the in the preseason just how we
don't know when Brooks is going to be
back and we don't really know what kind
of shape he like what kind of role he'll
he's not just going to be thrust
necessarily into a feature back role so
you know it's been ugly with Bryce but
justy I mean it's been what under three
yards a play or something like that like
it's just been terrible efficiency for
that entire offense so something as
simple as a bump to like bad instead of
like historically awful yeah for this
offense could do wonders for a guy like
hubard who's still you mentioned in that
lead role so yeah I like him as
well uh
Baltimore Dallas uh gotta
go with some jayen her about say jayn
jayn Tolbert excuse me I was combining
talk about Dart throw holy right yeah I
don't even know if he exists but uh you
know tobert kind of came on waiting
garbage time maybe him and dak's
connection uh starting to to improve
improve a little bit uh I think his
first you know three or four targets
were all incompletions but he ended up
what was
[Music]
it six catches for 82 which uh is is
something that they're gonna need at
some point because Brandon Cooks you
know he we liked him heading in week two
he kind of disappeared he's gonna be
inconsistent the tight ends still banged
up so uh this cowboys offense was huming
the most when it had lamb and then it
had you know other guys like Cooper and
Gallop before the injury just threats
you know all around to take some of the
pressure off CD lamb and Tolbert is a
guy that kind of had eyed for that role
and then it looked like jayn Brooks
might overtake him he's a super dark
throw too but I think Tolbert showed
enough to where he's probably gonna get
more opportunities now uh you know to
really cement himself as that number
three receiver before this I was kind of
leaning toward Brooks potentially
overtaking him sooner than later but you
know he looked decent late in that game
and this is a game now against Baltimore
where it could be a pass game script for
the Cowboys and it's kind of always a
pass game script for the Cowboys because
you don't have even Tony Pard anymore
your running backs are Ezekiel Elliott
and Rico D so uh yeah you just paid Dak
you just gave him the bag so uh let's
let's play Tolbert to keep it going
here uh what's up next Let's see we got
got the yeah the ners I mean how crazy
is that that they they always own the
Rams but like Debo goes on uh or he's
Debo essentially KN ruled out and cafre
is already out and yet the line goes in
the Niners favor on I mean it's not
really Road Road Interstate but Niners
are a touchdown favorite the total is is
in the mid-40s so it's this could go
either way
what do you like for for this one yeah I
think I saw a tweet that said they might
have to play this game inside of a MRI
machine but just so many just brutal
injuries um I I think it goes about
saying Jordan Whittington at 4200 I know
you love him I like him as well if there
ever a time to take him it's this week
before before the eruption game you got
to take him so he's worth a flyer this
week um normally I reserve uh this for
Showdown slates but I think this is the
first time ever I'm giving it a fullback
as a dart throw on a main slate cuz I am
telling you to drink the juice with me
Kyle us Che at
4K um granted he's still just a dice
roll for big gpps you're trying to
really differentiate your lineup but
he's essentially feeling in as you know
a pass catching back for mcaffrey out
and now Debo out um could even earn him
even more targets he saw five targets
last game uh could even see him get his
annual touchdown in this game uh which
will really give him you know gpp
winning score at just 4K so like I said
if they're ever a week to drink the
juice it's this one I'm projecting him
over two receptions I don't think I've
ever done that uh but again like he's
gonna be more involved than we've ever
seen uh this week so um I I think use
check you got to do it you got to take a
fullback on the mainl at least once in
your life uh and this week I will be
doing that
oh man I I thought I I actually thought
you were going to go with uh gendo I
know you liked him a little bit in the
preseason and I at some point like
Mason's getting such a heavy workload
that like talk about being ahead of it
but I think Winnington you know he's
he's yeah there's there's a lot of that
you got wait Corum Joan Jennings if
they're ever a game to take Joan
Jennings this is it too where's my guy
uh uh Jacob call he's isn't he usually
on the kick turn team him and dend make
them play offense this game come on yeah
who like C uh who's like someone's going
to take like uh some of these like
Jennings is going to step up who's gonna
take the Debo snaps is it like Ronnie
Bell is it coing it can't be Bell for
now just but they also you know Conley
as a run blocker I know they like but if
if they need guys a guy to run rout but
WR now you know it's going to be it's
going to be juice check just more
fullback two one person now and uh I
think Eric sober played more as well
backup tight end because they don't
usually go to tight ends because they
have so they were so loaded at running
back and and a wide receiver but you can
see more so it's kind of it's all over
the place this is Dart throw dart throw
Heaven this game's Dart throw
Heaven uh it might be heaven for points
in Cardinals lines or it might not be
because I was on a really high under
total and it went under easily last week
with the Lions going what one for seven
I think it was in the red zone so you
never know but they are
going to Arizona 51 and a half the total
uh so another one of these high total
games and with am man raw getting a
little bit banged up in the last one I
think uh Tim Patrick is going to get
elevated again it seems like they were
kind of working him in and maybe they
got him uh ticketed for the uh old Josh
Reynolds role because they really needed
a bigger bodied guy in that role you
know khif Raymond is is nice but he's
more of a g
guy who they they want to keep fresh for
uh the return game so uh Tim Patrick
finally got called up along with Tom
Kennedy but uh even though Kennedy's
been there a lot longer Patrick played
more on offense and so this is a spot
where he could you know continue to see
his role increased because I think he
again he's that prototypical kind of uh
you know ex receiver type that they're
looking for in that spot a 36% route
rate last week uh Raymond was down to
41% and uh Kennedy was at 9% so uh
Patrick could jump up you know into that
50% 60% range and he has been a
productive player in the past I think
everyone's going to kind of look at uh
you know J and jam Williams there's so
many options Montgomery Gib I mean like
if Patrick's active no one's Really
Gonna think about him because you want
all these studs but uh you know he's
kind of that other guy similar to how
Reynolds would pop every once in a while
uh who could be that you know fifth guy
uh piece of that offense so like Patrick
just make sure make sure that he's uh
he's going to be active you know monitor
that because uh I believe it's a it's a
four what is it a four Easter H eight
yeah 4 pm Eastern start yeah so oh okay
yeah you're gonna have to just kind of
monitor the news there um or use them on
weight slates or whatnot or uh you know
switch them
out for
