is the display yes Apple have Shrunk The

bezels to near impossible thinness and I

get it that looks appealing but there's

something that that display is missing

it's the anti-reflective coating the

gorilla glass armor coating on top of

the display on the s24 ultra compromised

nothing about the display everything

about the colors the brightness it's all

still there and you get the added

advantage of seeing everything a lot

clearer because there's no Reflections

getting in the way this whole time I've

used the s24 ultra this an reflective

coding has been a Savor of my experience

of the display because whe whe you're

Outdoors whether you're indoors you do

not get Reflections showing on this

thing and even when you compare to

something like the fold six you can see

the reflections are just so much less

harsh on the s24 ultra than what they

are on the Zen fold 6 so the display

number one and that's not even

accounting for the 2600 P nits

brightness or things like the Adaptive

brightness and adaptive controls it's

just about this coding that's what sets

it apart number two is the design yes

Apple have introduced this new capture

button but what Samsung have got here is

minimess design the floating cameras

aren't sort of intrusive the design on

the side is clean you've only got really

two buttons the volume control and the

power button Apple have got the the

action button the power button the

volume button and now this capture

button there's a lot going on but you

can also program Samsung's buttons the

volume controls in the camera can

actually be used as a capture button so

yes I understand Apple's capture button

has some more granular stuff that isn't

available at launch by the way and the

volume controls can just do a lot more

right now you can actually capture it

zoom in and out there's a lot of things

you can program here so that whole

design facet of it being sort of clean

and minimal I prefer that over Apple

just adding things and making the design

a little bit more convoluted especially

on the on the sides and on the frame

also as well you have no Dynamic Island

intruding on any of your content it's

just a tiny punch hole camera that just

makes the front display look like near

immersive third one is camera Hardware

now I know Apple have just upgraded

their ultrawide camera and I get it

Ultra wide camera does look very good

but it still doesn't provide the

flexibility of cameras in terms of

Hardware than what Samsung has got the

four cameras on the back plus the laser

autofocus module do give you the

ultimate ability to go from that Ultra

wide through to 10 times and Beyond and

anywhere in between and capture a really

good photo you've got high resolution

you've got that Zoom range it's all kind

of packed in there thanks to the

hardware and the little unsung hero

mixed in the lot is this three times

camera whilst it doesn't get I think the

respect it deserves probably because

it's couple years old now the fact it's

there is what truly sets it apart

because you do have 0.6 1 2 3 5 and then

10 and anywhere in between that range is

going to be good thanks to the Hardware

on board and number four when you add in

camera software that's where it truly

elevates the Samsung camera experience

Samsung don't just give you good camera

hardware and let it go they add in the

plethora of software modes that you

could take advantage of this year in

particular with the s24 ultra they

stacked it things like dual recording

which allows you to record from two rear

cameras at the same time in 4k so you

can capture footage at two different

angles from the Native camera app modes

like Auto framing which turn your s24

Ultra into like a tracking camera just

from sitting still it can track and and

monitor people around in the frame and

sort of keep them in the view single

take my most used favorite camera mode

for taking photos of my kids because I

just let them be kids and single take

does the rest pro video mode where you

can have granular controls over things

it's all in there the camera modes are

extensive and Samsung will let you have

them as long for accounting for the fact

that Apple just announced things like 4K

120 FPS which Samsung have now had this

year in pro video mode and in slow

motion so Samsung have had these and

don't really make a big deal out of them

but to Apple they're huge because

they've never had them before number

five it is the ESP pen This truly sets

this apart not just from Apple and

iPhone but from any phone because this S

Pen tucked away neatly in the phone sort

of compromises nothing in terms of

performance but expands your capability

of what the phone can do not only do you

have all of the productivity features

that the Spen gives you things like

Samsung Notes where you can use it to

take down all your notes and all the

tools that Samsung give you surrounding

it but now the new Galaxy AI features

that have just been updated to one UI

6.1.1 means you can sketch to draw

things on top of photos and make them

come to life but also the fact that you

can use this as a remote so you don't

need some camera shutter button you can

actually use your Spen as a remote

shutter but this remote S Pen also works

in other things like PowerPoint

presentations which just expands again

that capability of what this pen can do

and what the phone can do and part of

that I guess productivity sort of piece

is Samsung Dex at number six for me it

is still the most undervalued Samsung

feature of all time because you can take

your phone and turn it into your PC

using peripherals using really anything

that's around you whether it be the

monitor that I've got behind me whether

it be this TV here or whether it be

things like laptops which you can find a

link for in the description you can turn

your phone into your portable laptop

that you take around with you anyway and

I get it you can oh just just get a

tablet but the fact is that Samsung de

transforms and uses the power of your

phone and everything that's in your

pocket to then turn it into something

more there's a reason why Apple won't do

this they're worried about cannibalizing

sales of their other product lines

that's not Samsung's Vibe their Vibe is

to give you the technology and you

decide what you want to do with it and I

appreciate that number seven is Galaxy

Ai and I get it Apple now got Apple

intelligence but it's one still in beta

and two not launching in a lot of

markets till much much later Samsung's

Galaxy AI is here all of the features

they've given it to you and with the new

update that's just hit the s24 ultra you

have all the stuff from the fold six on

board as well so you've got so much AI

features you can take advantage of

whether it be composing messages in the

keyboard whether it be sketching to draw

things and turning them into real life

pictures or paintings you've got that

option there and they're truly useful

productivity features to marry alongside

that inside things like Samsung Notes

and Samsung internet Galaxy AI is a huge

part of the Galaxy ecosystem now and I

think for me Samsung put meaningful

stuff in here to make it better and it's

available of course available is better

than not available number eight is one

UI animation's aside and really it's not

the biggest of deal the animations serve

a good purpose and Samsung's animations

are fluid that's all you need to know

one UI just offers so much more it's so

feature dense all the customization

options that you get natively and then

extend it in through goodlock as well

all the multitasking and productivity

features with split screen popup Windows

Edge panels that's all part of the oneui

experience and it's very much in Focus

here on the s24 ultra lots of people

talk about Samsung being difficult to

master in terms of can't really get

around the software that easily but

Apple's becoming like that too the

difference is Apple have sort of limits

on their iOS capability where Samsung

don't really have them what you can do

in oneui is bigger than what you can do

in iOS one UI can be made more

comprehensive and to be honest users

should want that they should want to

have the software become their own not

have controls and limits by Apple number

nine is ecosystem you might think I'm a

bit crazy to say that the s24 ultra and

the ecosystem surrounding Samsung is

better than what Apple can offer you but

when you consider that Samsung's

ecosystem isn't just the Smartwatch the

phone the tablet the buds the laptops

it's the home it's smart things and the

appliances and TVs and air conditioners

that are part of the whole smart things

framework that Apple just can't have

Samsung isn't just a mobile phone

company they have everything you can can

possibly imagine under their name and

they all connect and work seamlessly and

it's all housed inside smart things that

is an ecosystem that is a brand

ecosystem and no other brand will ever

be able to match it and the last one is

performance you might think I'm crazy

especially is because Apple announced

this new chip every year it's 30% faster

it's two times neural engine all of the

marketing words that they love you to to

know about but what it doesn't account

for is what you can actually do with

that performance Apple's IOS software as

stated before is limiting they don't

allow you to take advantage of what's

available Samsung with its performance

of the hn3 for Galaxy whilst its raw

performance probably doesn't match that

of the a18 its capabilities of what they

allow you to do with it is much greater

features like Samsung Dex which I spoke

about the S Pen which sits in here 8K

video recording at 30 FPS at 1X and at

5x that's all available because Samsung

push it to its limits and put the

software in instead of slowly drip

feeding it to you over a 10-year life

cycle Samsung's got better RAM

management The Thermals have notoriously

always been better because they put in

the cooling solutions to bring the heat

of the phone down batter's kind of

become a thing recently too whilst a few

years ago the iPhone 13 was a huge

battery Advantage it hasn't really sort

of kept up that lead and I think whilst

the s24 ultra has had its issues with

battery I still think its overall

battery package is a better solution

things like even though it's a slight

Advantage 45 W fast charging or the fact

that you can Power share off the back of

your s24 Ultra for your ecosystem like

your buds and well not not this anymore

but you get my point so look I kind of

wanted to do this because I think people

forget s for Ultra coming out in January

people forget the the stuff that it

brings the camera modes and the hardware

changes that it's brought into Market

because Apple's got this shiny new thing

and this new button everyone's going to

forget and you'll see a lot of videos

where they won't even mention the s24

ultra and some of the things that it's

got ahead of what Apple have done argue
