Oh my god. Hey Feiba here with a guide on
our latest explosive DPS. Just like Boothill she destroys single target enemies, though thanks to
her kit and ult generation she can attack hard and frequently. Today I’ll explain her wall of text of
a kit, review her insane eidolons, then show her best builds and light cones all calculated for
you today. Then we’ll check out teams including the brand new Moze. Remember this is all on the
Creator Experience server. So like and subscribe and share if this helps, and let’s begin.
Feixiao is a Wind Hunt 5 Star unit, and our second Wind Hunt in Star Rail, and our second
General. Among base stats Feixiao has a decent base attack of 601 and a very high speed of 112,
one of the highest in the game. For trace priority you’ll wanna focus on her ultimate,
then talent, then skill, and her basic attack does not need any investment.
So onto the kit. Feixiao’s Ultimate is
core to her damage, and much like Acheron she does not use Energy, rather she generates her
ultimate through her kit mechanic. Instead of wanting fast debuff application like Acheron,
Feixiao will instead want high frequency attacks from allies.
So from Feixiao’s talent we can generate her ultimate ability.
Feixiao accumulates Flying Aureus when fighting, up to 12 points,
and she can launch her ultimate when it reaches 6, giving her a large reservoir
of energy that she can hold onto just like Yunli. For every 2 attacks dealt by allies,
she generates 1 point. Or in other words, every ally attack generates 0.5 points of Flying Aureus.
Her talent will also, once per Feixiao turn,
launch a follow up attack after an ally attacks an enemy. This follow up attack
does OK dmg but it will also self buff Feixiao for 60% DMG for 2 turns. This will therefore
become a strong and permanent buff due to her being able to follow up every turn.
Her skill launches a strong attack, and then subsequently launches her talent’s
follow up on top of that. Since this is two attacks,
that means every skill Feixiao uses will contribute 1 Flying Aureus.
So all those Flying Aureus, but what about her ultimate?
Feixiao goes super saiyan and gets a choice of two attacks 6 times. It’s not difficult,
just choose the one it suggests. Waraxe will be stronger when the enemy is not weakness broken,
and Boltsunder when they are, so use the correct one. Also when the enemy isn’t weakness broken
you get a 100% multiplier to weakness break efficiency and she also ignores Weakness Types,
meaning any toughness bar is nothing to her in her ultimate form. She is not a break DPS
but she breaks enemies fast. This is to make her OP in Apocalyptic Shadow.
At the end of these 6 attacks she launches a final strike to the target.
Remember you have 12 possible Flying Aureus points, so you can hold onto your ult. And
if you aren’t buffed yet by your harmony units, you should absolutely hold onto it.
Even if you have to waste some Flying Aureus stacks from overcapping, making sure Feixiao
is topped up with every boost is essential, as her ultimate is 75% of her damage profile.
And finally her technique will make her fast just like Yukong, but unlike poor Yukong,
Feixiao gains some insane benefits. First she gains another point of Flying
Aureus when entering battle. Secondly she pulls in enemies within a certain range,
they literally just fly with her. Third when attacking during her technique state she attacks
all enemies pulled in. Fourth she does wind DMG to all enemies at the start of each wave,
guaranteed to CRIT, and this DMG can scale further. And fifth, since it attacks enemies,
it also contributes 0.5 Flying Aureus every wave. It’s like a dimension attack without the
dimension, and is very powerful in normal play but also farming, and it’s a whole load of fun.
Now onto her traces which make her even more insane.
Her A2 gives her an initial 3 Flying Aureus at the start of the battle,
and if she starts a turn without a follow up from her talent happening in the previous turn,
she gains 0.5 Flying Aureus. This basically is made for either Sparkle or Bronya and alleviates a
bit of a problem with hypercarry Feixiao. They can advance her which means she misses out on a talent
follow up and thus a Flying Aureus point, but with A2 it helps deal with that problem somewhat.
This means Feixiao will start with 4.5 Flying Aureus if she used her
technique. Including Feixiao’s turn, or just a good Sub DPS and sustain attacking alone,
Feixiao can therefore ultimate on her very first turn which is incredible for fast clears.
As for her A4, it now makes her ult count as a follow up attack. This means it is now being
boosted by follow up buffing sources which is fantastic. She also gains a 36% CRIT DMG buff
to all follow ups all the time, which of course will now include her ultimate too.
And A6 is a permanent 48% ATK buff for our Feixiao,
only needing to use her Skill to activate it.
So in total we have 60% DMG, 36% CRIT DMG, and 48% ATK in self buffs. Lovely.
Feixiao will finally gain another 28% ATK from her trace bonuses,
as well as some CRIT Rate. Finally some DEF which is actually kinda good outside
of shielder teams since Hunt units have some very low defensive stats.
Onto her disgusting Eidolons. E1 grants an Ultimate DMG increase
every time she uses her Ultimate strikes, up to 5 times. It is an original DMG multiplier and
is thus a unique multiplicative increase just like Acheron’s Nihility trace. What
this means is it is not DMG%, it is much stronger. It does stack though per hit,
but it means her final hits get some very powerful bonuses.
E2 makes ally follow up attacks now grant 1 Flying Aureus instead of 0.5,
limited to 6 times per Feixiao turn. It does not mean you get
1.5 per follow up, it doesn’t stack it instead just overwrites the talent’s effect. Anyways,
this greatly increases her ult frequency and is a classic big E2 powerhouse eidolon.
E4 is uh… E4. And E6 is another stupid upgrade.
RES PEN on ultimates cause why not. Then talent is now considered ultimate DMG,
synergizing with this E6, Valorous, and her Signature. And then a 140% DMG Multiplier increase
to talents on top. If you made it here congrats, she will do too much damage for her own good.
Her E1, E2 and E6 are all bangers, so she has a decent upgrade for every type of pull plan.
But now let’s check out her build. Feixiao will want the Wind Soaring Valorous as
it synergizes with her follow up and ult spamming kit. However Duke is a fantastic alternative as
her ult is most of her damage and is considered as a follow up attack. It will stack up during
the ultimates’ hits for an explosive finale. The 2 piece also greatly benefits her in general.
2 Piece combos of DMG% or ATK% are ok to run, ideally DMG% if anything.
And for the Wind Set, it’s a bit weird. At best in my sim it’s worse than Duke,
generally it's worse than 2 piece combos, and then in the worst scenario it can be worse than having
no set. Just like with Black Swan or a -1 SPD Bronya, the Wind Set’s advance can be detrimental
to turn order and ruin buff timings or debuff timings. In this instance, it messes up Numby
timings. For 0 Cycling I’m sure people will use it, but I would not recommend it for most players.
As for planars, Duran is built for her too and is her best by a decent margin.
Izumo with March Topaz or Moze also works and so does ol’ reliable Inert Salsotto.
Just like with Yunli though, Inert does not double its buffs despite Feixiao’s
ult also being considered a follow up attack. It is just a 15% DMG buff.
For main stats you will want a CRIT Rate chest, SPD or ATK% boots,
Wind DMG% or ATK% orb, and an ATK% Rope. In rare cases you can go for a CRIT DMG chest, for
example you’re balling on CR subs with a CR light cone. Generally though, CRIT rate chest please.
For boots, SPD or ATK% just depends on what you prefer, lots of turns or impactful turns. Just
like with Acheron, most of your stack building will be done by ally turns rather than yours.
Calculating this is pretty irrelevant though versus practice due to how varying sims can
be especially with units like Topaz and Robin. For orb, Wind DMG orb is generally best due to
high ATK% saturation and wind DMG should definitely be used if running ATK% boots.
And so for a stat goal you’ll want to hit a nice ratio of 90-100 CRIT Rate and 120 CRIT DMG,
possibly going higher with a CRIT light cone. Moze, March Hunt, Topaz E1S1, Robin, Aventurine
Eidolons, Feixiao’s best Planar Set, all of these things give CRIT DMG. You’ll have so much in her
best teams that you want to skew your CRIT Rate to be very high in order to finish with a very strong
CRIT ratio when all buffs are considered. For ATK you can reach 3 to 3.5k depending
on boots and for SPD you can either go low SPD and hope for the best or you can aim
for a speed breakpoint like 134 to hit in between cycles. If using her with Robin,
then Robin messes everything up anyways depending on when you ult, but 134 is still helpful.
Now for light cones. Her signature light cone first has a high
base attack. Then a 15% CRIT rate buff, not as high as most. But the 2nd effect compensates for
it with a stacking DEF ignore buff to ultimates. It stacks to 2 times, once per follow up attack
and loses a stack after the wearer’s turn ends. But when up, which is easy for Feixiao,
you can have a 54% DEF ignore buff to your ult. Just a casual 40.6% DPS increase to ults yea?
Luckily though for Ratio enjoyers you can strip him. Of his light cone that
is. It synergizes perfectly with Feixiao conveniently despite their kits having some
big differences in damage distribution. Any other cone falls off in comparison
to these two. Even something like Topaz’s signature does. This is because Ratio and
Feixiao’s light cones offer DEF% ignore, a new stat that Feixiao doesn’t heavily
saturate on like ATK% or DMG%. Do note this is her personal damage though,
and in a team like the IPC team you have a lot of dmg from Topaz, Robin, Aventurine,
which make her light cone not as big of a boost overall when looking at the whole team’s DMG.
Let’s finish with teams. Feixiao generally wants
to run with a sub DPS, and then a multi DPS buffer. Non dual DPS
teams outside of some specific cases perform quite poorly in comparison.
For sub DPS we have three main options in general content. Topaz, Moze E6, or March Hunt E6.
Topaz is limited but has a higher ceiling than Moze or March due to the fact that she
is similar or more powerful at E0S1 versus their E6. So when considering an E1 or E2 on her part,
she can scale higher whereas the 4 star units are locked to their E6’s limit. She has high
potential with strategic play thanks to Numby advances. Feixiao’s skill and talent result in an
immediate Numby action, and her ult counting as a follow up also means you can plan around that too.
But if you don’t wanna pull Topaz do not worry, as the 4 stars are fantastic.
Moze brings high frequency follow up attacks and is like a Topaz but 4*. I think he is
very powerful and I think he beats out Topaz E0S1 versus Lightning Wind weak,
and still fares well otherwise. He brings buffs just like Topaz, vulnerability too,
on top of some hefty personal DMG. Not to mention he has some nice quality of life.
He also doesn’t share the same problem Numby does where an overflow of attacks
will be wasted for his follow up frequency. Though he does have his own new problems.
As for March, she brings amazing SP positivity and some small buffs too.
She is also completely free to play including her E6. Her instant advance forward and high
amount of turns generates a whole ton of Flying Aureus stacks just like the other
two sub DPS. And although she won’t deal as much damage if not versus Imaginary Weak,
she does get to at least ignore wind weak toughness to help break down bars for the team.
Here is a chart of how many attacks these gamers can get with their main action combo in
2 turns. It’s a nice way to gauge just how many Flying Aureus stacks each meta sub DPS partner
can provide, but won’t necessarily always be what’s happening. The most consistent one is
of course Topaz and she has the highest ceiling as stated earlier. Moze requires
his Prey state and it can be canceled early, and March just has fewer attacks in general.
For Dual DPS buffers Robin is by far the best. She’s top for CRIT
DPS and further synergizes with high frequency attackers and or
Follow Up DPS. Feixiao and Robin reminds me a bit of Firefly with Ruan Mei in strength,
and Hoyo rerunning her alongside Feixiao is extremely reminiscent of patch 2.3. But
since Feixiao can use other supports and other compositions, it’s not as bad as Firefly’s case.
But when comparing Dual DPS Buffer to Dual DPS Buffer, Robin will outshine Ruan Mei and Asta
and Pela by a serious amount. Feixiao thrives on ally actions, which Robin gives a ton of. And not
only do these tons of actions enable Feixiao, they also enable Robin’s damage and energy.
And finally for sustain it has to be Aventurine. He is most of the time the best sustain but it
goes especially hard in the follow up team. He attacks so much which greatly helps with Flying
Aureus generation. And if you are running the meta follow up team he further synergizes with
enabling Numby as well as enabling Robin. So with Topaz, Robin, Aventurine,
we finally have the FART Team, one of the strongest compositions in the game.
And for other sustains I will also mention Gallagher,
I’m addicted. Gallagher is a fantastic alternative due to also attacking very
fast and he even offers slightly better SP generation if you need that. Furthermore he
can run Quid Pro Quo to help battery Robin very easily. Gallagher will also be needed
if running some alternative compositions later due to either Quid Pro Quo or his SP generation.
Finally Lingsha should be a good choice even if she looks to be made
for Break teams. She offers a lot of quality of life with debuff removal,
and her bunny follow up attacks should provide a great alternative to Aventurines’ own ones.
The only problem will be her SP consumption, but Feixiao’s sub DPS can generally sort that out.
Other sustains are still usable, they just won’t be as impactful as
Aventurine. At the end of the day, the Support is the most important.
And then what happens when you don’t have Robin, or you want to run a different composition?
Well in that case Bronya comes to save you. The problem with her though is the silly SP
consumption. E1S1 Bronya is ideal, and then Gallagher or Aventurine or Luocha
as a sustain. For sub DPS either of the usual three should be good.
The idea of this team is to provide Feixiao with a boatload of Flying Aureus from her own turns
on top of some hypercarry buffs from Bronya. It won’t be as strong or comfy as the FART team,
but it’s a fine and much cheaper alternative. Sparkle also works and is much easier on the SP,
but she won’t provide as many turns as Bronya could.
Also E4 Bronya gamers, it might just be your time to shine, as you get the most random synergy with
a free extra follow up every Bronya turn, you just gotta run Feixiao versus wind weak, how easy.
You can also run two Sub DPS with Feixiao, though this is a bit weird.
For example March Moze and Feixiao spam out attacks and you play Honkai:
Animation Rail half the time. It’s quite beautiful. The idea here is that March and
Moze or even Topaz both buff Feixiao’s damage a bunch anyways, whilst also buffing their own on
top. So you have Feixiao with pseudo harmony buffs, and two DPS with pseudo harmony buffs,
all doing decent damage bit by bit. The problem is the enemies can have some high resistances to
your damage and you can’t match every weakness. So you wouldn’t run this in Apocalyptic Shadow,
but in MOC I think it’s usable. It reminds me of triple DoT but a bit better buffing wise.
We then also have my favourite team ever that I won’t stop testing with every new unit.
The mosquito team as some people now call it also works fantastically with Feixiao.
She can void the Quid Pro Quo stacks just like Acheron, but Robin gets enough with moderate RNG,
and Feixiao’s high amount of attacks enable high energy generation for her anyway. You’ll
get a ton of Charges for Feixiao, thus tons of ults, and they will all be boosted by Bronya
and Robin. It’s a hypercarry Feixiao team basically, but very synergistic.
And in Pure Fiction you can either hope for an OP buff that lets you abuse follow
ups and make units like Topaz and Feixiao S Tier in Pure Fiction,
or you can use Feixiao with Jade E1 for a stupidly fun composition.
Because the buff was decent and because Robin and Aventurine are just OP in Pure Fiction anyway,
the IPC team managed to 40k despite being all single target gamers. We’ll
have to see how it fares when the buff is not synergistic and / or teams without Aventurine.
As for Jade you get a nice combo of Feixiao Skill into Follow up for 6 Jade Charges, into
Jade follow up, into Feixiao follow up for another 3 Jade Charges, all whilst gaining 2 Flying Aureus
for Feixiao herself. She deletes the elites and boss, Jade destroys the rest of the enemies.
I think Feixiao is an incredible and top tier DPS in both Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow.
Her potential to generate ultimates so quickly and in clutch situations means she should
have some very consistently high clear speeds. She does self buff a lot and doesn’t have stupidly
high multipliers, which can scare some people though. However she attacks a ton to compensate,
and she has a lot of team potential. If you are content with your 2 main DPS already though,
don’t FOMO over the brand new unit. She is beautiful and her animations are too, but 3.0
is coming soon and the collab is next year. Anyways I hope this video helped,
thanks to my amazing youtube members, thanks for watching, and have a guoba day.
