Guten Abend, ich begrüße Sie zur tagesschau.

Nach den Landtagswahlen in Sachsen und Thüringen zeichnet sich ab,

dass die Regierungsbildung schwierig wird.

Keine Partei will eine Koalition mit der AfD eingehen,

die in beiden Bundesländern als rechtsextrem eingestuft ist.

Grüne und FDP schafften es nicht in den Landtag.

Trostspenden bei der Linken in Erfurt.

Die Partei ist nur noch viertstärkste Kraft im Landtag.

Ministerpräsident Ramelow hat der CDU eine Zusammenarbeit angeboten,

damit diese eine Regierung bilden kann.

Ich werde noch mal deutlich sagen, dass ich alles tue,

dass das Land eine mehrheitsfähige Regierung bekommt.

Die CDU schloss eine Regierung mit der Linken und der AfD aus,

durch einen Unvereinbarkeitsbeschluss.

Für eine stabile Mehrheit bräuchte sie aber eine der Parteien.

Jetzt gehen wir das mal an. Zuerst mit der SPD und dann mit BSW.

Wir haben momentan 'ne Pattsituation.

Stärkste Kraft vor der CDU ist die vom Verfassungsschutz

als gesichert rechtsextremistisch eingestufte AfD.

Die Partei um Björn Höcke will in Thüringen regieren.

Die Brandmauer, die ist gefallen bei so 'nem Wahlergebnis für die AfD.

Diese Diffamierungen,

die auch auf der Bundesebene gegen uns ins Feld gebracht werden:

Vermeintlich rechtsextrem und so weiter und sofort.

Das hat den Wähler nicht beeindruckt.

Eine schwierige Regierungsbildung steht bevor.

Was fangen die Menschen in Thüringen mit dem Ergebnis an?

Die müssen viele Kompromisse machen,

damit die Ziele, die Parteien haben, wirksam werden können.

Da werden die einen oder anderen Abstriche machen müssen.

Ich bin der Meinung, nachdem sie über 30 Prozent erhalten hat,

soll man sie mal machen lassen.

Entweder sie laufen gegen die Wand, dann enttarnen sie sich selbst

oder sie können es.

Auch Katja Wolf dürfte noch eine entscheidende Rolle

bei Koalitionsverhandlungen spielen.

Ihr BSW erreicht aus dem Stand mehr als 15 Prozent in Thüringen.

In Sachsen wird Ministerpräsident Kretschmer versuchen,

eine neue Regierung zu bilden.

Seine CDU blieb stärkste Kraft, aber ihre bisherige Koalition

mit SPD und Grünen hat ihre Mehrheit verloren.

Deshalb wird auch Kretschmer mit dem BSW verhandeln müssen.

Die Linke rutschte ab auf 4,5 %,

kommt aber wegen zweier Direktmandate trotzdem in den Landtag.

Ihre Plakate hängen auch am Morgen nach der Wahl noch hoch,

ihre Erwartungen waren es eigentlich auch.

Gestern hofften einige in der sächsischen AfD,

die CDU doch überholen zu können.

Doch die AfD liegt auf Platz zwei.

Außerdem wurde die Sitzverteilung in der Nacht falsch berechnet.

Der Landeswahlleiter teilt mit, die AfD erhält 40 Sitze:

Somit reicht es nicht für die Sperrminorität:

Bestimmte Landesgesetzte, die eine Zweidrittelmehrheit erfordern,

könnten blockiert werden.

Richtig zufrieden präsentiert sich die sächsische AfD nicht.

Wir sind unter unseren Erwartungen geblieben, hätten gern mehr gehabt.

Auch wir haben an das BSW Wähler verloren,

das wissen wir aus der Wählerwanderung.

Verhaltener Jubel am Abend bei der CDU.

Das Wahlziel, stärkste Kraft zu werden,

wurde erreicht.

Aber um weiter regieren zu können, ist man auch auf den BSW angewiesen.

Eine Zusammenarbeit mit der AfD wird auch heute ausgeschlossen,

also Gespräche mit BSW und SPD.

Das wird nicht leicht, das geht nicht schnell -

das ist auch nicht das Ziel.

Es geht darum, in Ruhe und mit großer Verantwortung

darüber zu sprechen, welche Themen jetzt notwendig sind.

Auf sie wird es ankommen,

das Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht wird aus dem Stand zweistellig.

Die große Bundespolitik

werde auch bei Gesprächen im Freistaat eine Rolle spielen.

Wir sind bereit, Verantwortung zu übernehmen.

Aber wenn CDU und SPD nicht ihre Politik verändern,

werden wir uns nicht an einer Regierungskoalition beteiligen.

In einem sind sich die Parteien, die sprechen wollen, einig:

Einfach werden die Gespräche im Sächsischen Landtag nicht.

Für die Parteien der Ampel-Koalition im Bund

sind die Ergebnisse aus Sachsen und Thüringen eine schwere Schlappe.

Ihre Stimmanteile ergeben zusammengezählt den niedrigsten Wert,

den Parteien einer Bundesregierung je bei Landtagswahlen erzielten.

Dagegen sieht sich die CDU

als einzig verbliebenes Bollwerk gegen die Populisten.

Sie wird aber über ungewöhnliche Regierungsbündnisse

verhandeln müssen.

Es sieht idyllisch aus im Berliner Regierungsviertel,

aber das täuscht.

Das Ergebnis der Wahlen in Sachsen und Thüringen

gleicht einem politischen Beben.

Bei der CDU stellt sich die Frage: Mit wem will man überhaupt regieren?

Parteichef Merz macht klar, es bleibt beim Beschluss,

dass die CDU nicht mit der Linkspartei regiert.

Auch dem BSW gegenüber ist er skeptisch.

Das ist eine Kaderpartei einer Person,

die sich zur Weltpolitik äußert.

Was die Partei zu Abwassergebühren sagt,

weiß ich nicht.

Doch ohne das neue Bündnis wird es kaum gehen.

Sahra Wagenknecht ist der neue Machtfaktor für mögliche Koalitionen.

Das weiß sie und betont,

dass sie nicht in jede Koalition einsteigen würde.

Einfach nur irgendeine Regierung zusammengewürfelt wird ...

Alle kommen zusammen, die nicht AfD sind

und es gibt kein gemeinsames Konzept.

Es läuft wie bei der Ampel:

Man streitet sich, hat keine Ideen, die Lage verschlechtert sich weiter.

Das wäre ein Konjunkturprogramm für Herrn Höcke.

Die AfD könnte jubeln, würde gern mitregieren,

doch keiner will mit ihr.

Das hält Parteichefin Alice Weidel für einen Fehler

und richtet sich an die CDU:

Sie können nicht Wahlkampf machen mit AfD-Positionen

und mit den Linken zusammengehen.

Spätestens dann bricht auf Dauer die Brandmauer zusammen:

Weil sie entweder koalieren muss, mit uns,

oder an Bedeutung verliert, weil die Wähler zur AfD springen.

Bei der SPD ist man fast froh,

dass man in beiden Ländern noch im Landtag vertreten ist.

Die Vorsitzende stellt sich hinter den Bundeskanzler.

Scholz ist unser starker Kanzler

und wird unser starker Kanzlerkandidat sein.

Bei der letzten Bundestagswahl

haben wir in den letzten Monaten den Wind gedreht.

Das wird uns auch dieses Mal gelingen.

Nach den Landtagswahlen herrschen bei den Ampel-Parteien Frust,

Ratlosigkeit und Zweckoptimismus.

Es haben sich drastische Änderungen im Parteiensystem gezeigt,

eventuell ein Vorausblick auf das Bundestags-Wahljahr 2025.

Nachgefragt bei Markus Preiß, dem Leiter des ARD-Hauptstadtstudios:

Die CDU steht im Fokus

bei der Regierungssuche in Thüringen und Sachsen.

Wie geht die Partei damit um?

Es war schon gestern klar, dass die CDU

unangenehme Entscheidungen treffen muss,

wenn sie vor allem in Thüringen den Ministerpräsidenten stellen will.

Mit einem Tag Abstand wird deutlicher

wie kompliziert das wirklich wird.

Es reicht nicht, nur die Prozente und die Stimmen zu zählen.

Um eine Regierung ohne die AfD in Thüringen zu bilden,

bräuchte man eine Zusammenarbeit von CDU, dem BSW, der SPD und Linken.

Allein bei der Aufzählung dieser Parteien fragt man sich,

was das für eine Regierung werden soll.

Was würde diese Parteien inhaltlich verbinden -

Parteien, die schon von Anfang an

weiter auseinander liegen als es die Ampelparteien jemals waren.

Die, wie die CDU die Linke, sich als unvereinbar sehen.

Es ist nicht unmöglich, aber es ist riskant:

Diese inhaltlichen Gedanken, jenseits aller Prozent-Überlegungen,

werden jetzt stärker.

Man hat das heute schon in der Wortwahl gemerkt:

Die CDU spricht von BSW als einer Kaderpartei.

Das BSW betont,

man sei hier nicht nur Mehrheitsbeschaffer.

Wie geht es weiter

nach den Landtagswahlen in Thüringen und Sachsen.

Dazu gibt es einen Brennpunkt nach dieser tagesschau,

darin ein Interview mit Sahra Wagenknecht.

Danach folgt Hart aber fair, zu den Auswirkungen der Wahlen.

Der Volkswagenkonzern schließt Werksschließungen

und betriebsbedingte Kündigungen bei der Kernmarke nicht mehr aus.

Der Gewerkschaftsbund und andere Organisationen

hatten heute zu einem Generalstreik aufgerufen.

Landesweit legten viele die Arbeit nieder.

Ein Urteil des Arbeitsgerichts beendete den Streik vorzeitig.

Es war ein Medaillen-reicher Tag für das deutsche Team

heute bei den Paralympischen Spielen.
