I enjoy skiing with my son,

and I remember one year we competed

Once you've gone through this,

you often feel like you know nothing.

But you're only smart when you feel like you know nothing.

This is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect,

as the more you learn about a topic,

the more you know what you don't know.

The problem is most people can't get to this stage

as they just can't face failure.

It's too painful for them

so they end up blaming other people.

That's why my next rule is never complain.

Even if your whole world is crumbling,

complaining to the world won't do anything positive for you.

but it's important to remember we all have our own problems

and not many people care about fixing yours.

Instead of complaining,

look at the problems of objectively and find solutions.
