Transcripts
one thing that I've always had trouble
with especially when I spend too much
time focusing on a tiny screen that
feeds me the most outrageous 30-second
memes is learning how to let go when
things get out of control or worse when
they are in control but I can't accept
what that control is I set out a plan
for the day based on how much time I
have available and I tell myself okay
this is how the day is going to go then
either some unfortunate Road bump call
that I remembered I have scheduled or
laziness kicks in and the day ends
completely unaligned with how I
envisioned it ending dealing with this
loss of control can feel like an
impossible task especially because our
brains have been designed to seek safety
and certainty whenever they can but all
it takes is the right reframe to set
your mind to peace almost all the time
and I think I discovered that reframe
just the other day I've recently been
juggling with my thoughts surrounding a
higher power I went to church as a
little kid due to my parents and the
Catholic school that required us to
attend but I never really felt the
presence of a God in my life however the
older that I get the more I feel like
there's just too many unexp explain
coincidences that have happened to deny
the possible existence of some sort of
universal intelligence by the way you'll
be hearing me say terms like God the
universe Creator and higher intelligence
and I just want to clarify that when I
say these things they all basically mean
the same thing my Evolution as to who
and what God is has taken on several
different forms over the years it
started with the potential man in the
sky Theory as a kid which I could never
fully get behind then evolv to everybody
and everything is God when I started
studying Eastern religion and philosophy
in college and now well I don't know
that's what I'm trying to figure out
looking for more answers and using this
opportunity to meet with someone who
always puts me in a good mood I decided
to go on a walk on Christmas day with my
friend Danny Miranda Danny is a firm
believer of God and spirituality and
he's one of the best podcast
interviewers in the world so he's a
master at listening and being able to
ask the questions that you were unable
to access in your own psyche to
coordinate our walk I asked him what he
was doing on Christmas Day and he
responded with surrendering to the flow
of life I chuckled and even replied with
the haha reaction on iMessage but I knew
I wanted to bring up why that was his
immediate answer as we walked along the
dirt trail with the reflection of the
bridge above our heads glimmering in the
water I explained to him my confusion
you know dude I said I've had times
where I felt connected to everything and
I do find that it's very hard to believe
all of this is just random nothingness
but I can't seem to get behind the whole
idea of going to church and praying up
to the sky like someone else is
responsible for what I do I understand
he said can you give me some examples of
the types of coincidences you're talking
about maybe that'll help I scanned my
mind for memories in which I had this
feeling then replied well for instance
just the other day I had all these
negative thoughts swarming around in my
mind stuff like why did you waste so
much time playing video games you're
wasting your potential maybe this person
doesn't like me as much as they say they
do because they're not texting me back
right away and then the instant I pulled
out my phone and opened Twitter the
first tweet I saw was thoughts are not
not truths it was exactly what I needed
to hear almost like somebody was
listening to me and the amount of small
coincidences that have happened in my
life like that have probably surpassed
the limit where we can continue labeling
these things as just coincidences weird
stuff like that it just happens all the
time and it's the same thing with my
audience as well very frequently I get
comments like how did you know this was
exactly what I needed to hear or how did
you know I was struggling with this
exact thing right now and apart from the
very obvious answer that human beings
have so SAR struggles it's the amount of
times in which the perfect information
and answers and signs get presented at
the perfect time for myself and others
that makes me feel like something Beyond
time and space is going on here and then
there's the times I've done psychedelics
I remember when I went to a hiking trail
with my friends after taking shrooms I
looked up at the structures of the
branches on the trees and all I could
think about was how closely they
resembled the nervous system in our own
bodies in that moment it felt as though
I was an extension of the trees and
everything else in the natural world so
I guess that's what I mean by feeling
the sense of coincidence that isn't
really coincidence but I do admit that I
still struggle with this the majority of
the time surprisingly Danny said oh yeah
me too man I'm still a human being I
think it's more about doing the things
that make you feel that presence that
you're describing more what do you feel
are the biggest things blocking you from
being open to that experience a pause
was taken during the conversation as I
stared out onto the lake and the sunset
p roting over the leafless trees I guess
for me it's just about not being able to
accept the things outside of
self-improvement that I know aren't
doing me any good like for instance I've
been playing a ton of video games lately
and I know that I could be doing more
beneficial things with that time and
reaching a higher version of myself but
that is a part of myself that I just
find I keep coming back to this is when
Dany provided his first reframe to me he
said to me what if it's the guilt
surrounding the experience of wanting to
play video games and not the video games
itself that is the reason why you aren't
at your highest version it was something
that I intuitively felt deep down but
hearing someone else say it really
solidified the benefit of this way of
thinking there was a period of time
where I felt no need to play a lot of
video games and this was primarily when
I started taking YouTube and my business
seriously and I think that knowing I was
once someone who worked way longer hours
than they do now along with the general
consensus in the self-improvement
community about video games made me
reluctant to surrender and accept this
part of myself but like I've stated in
other videos different seasons in your
life are going to require a different
version of you and the universe is
naturally going to bring about a certain
version of you best fit for That season
our initial reaction to that version of
ourselves might be met with scorn and
resentment after all we want to be in
control of our lives and I believe that
everyone should take a sense of
accountability in agency over one's life
I think that's necessary to living a
great life but in this specific case
scenario the scenario in which you can
accept C that you have some hobby or
activity or other personality trait
because it isn't directly aligned with
how you think your life should be right
now it's best to surrender to that
version and accept the experience as the
perfect thing to be doing right now and
this goes for feelings of guilt fatigue
anger resentment or any other negative
emotion you think you shouldn't be
feeling right now you know when I think
about why I'm drawn to certain things or
people or why I was predisposed to these
things since I've been born we could
science the out this right we could
say something like oh it's because I
have these types of jeans and it's
because I consumed this type of stuff
and I hung around with these types of
people and that all shape me into who I
am but there's still that little sense
of mystery in there and after all why
did I start to consume this type of
thing or start to hang around with these
types of people or have the experiences
that I had in the first place like what
started the initial push to those things
that's what I mean when I say that right
now you should surrender rer and accept
what type of life you feel deep down
should be enacted upon even if it's not
what everyone else thinks is best for
you and that's what I mean when I say it
feels like there's some sort of creator
that knows what's best for me better
than I do and this Creator makes me more
inclined to see certain signs and act
upon certain things the common argument
against what I've said here would be if
the universe really did want us to
surrender to it then why does that
surrendering often lead us to naturally
gravitate towards things that are
clearly not good for us wouldn't the
universe always want everyone to be the
most happy fulfilled productive version
of themselves if it was really that
intelligent for example I feel like I've
been giving into not only video games
more recently but also certain lustful
activities and honestly my attention
span feels worse than it was before so
why would I ever surrender and accept
all these things that are producing no
positive outcomes for me and my answer
to this is because I trust myself and
this Universal intelligence I know there
will come a time where I turn away from
these things more yet again I know I
will be pushed to laser in my focus have
less desire for lustful activities and a
need to play video games exactly when
it's appropriate for me to stop doing
these things as much and at the same
time if I really examine all aspects of
my life a lot of important things that
have improved my life have been going on
while those negative things are going on
I've started running once or twice a
week consistently for a couple months
now and as a result I'm the most
athletic and functional I've ever been
since I was a teenager my friendships
have also felt much stronger too
recently because I felt more drawn to
wanting to see people more often rather
than work so hard often times it feels
like everything's going to when you
aren't getting the version of yourself
that you thought you should be getting
but if you really look at yourself
you'll see you're almost always becoming
the exact person you need to be right
now all it takes is for you to start
accepting that person more so at the
very least if you can't fully accept the
ideas I'm presenting here which would be
pretty ironic by the way just consider
this what if you are the exact version
of yourself that you need to be right
now even though every time I look back
on those previous versions of myself I
completely understand why that version
of myself had to exist at that certain
point in my life I think a lot of people
might be asking themselves why they felt
that every single version of themselves
so far has felt so shitty and while the
acceptance of who you are right now
despite all your flaws insecurities and
bad habits is part of that feeling of
shittiness I also think you need to
understand that the Universe reflects
back at you the level of Consciousness
you are currently occupying as we
continued on in our walk Dany kept
reiterating his current life goal of
trying to raise his Consciousness now
for someone like me who tends to stay
away from the new age spiritual
buzzwords like Consciousness vibration
and manifestation I was initially
skeptical about what he was saying here
but I did inquire about the meaning
behind that sentence when he started to
explain this concept he referenced this
chart which I've seen multiple times on
the internet which claims to map out the
different levels of consciousness and
the corresponding numbers to it the
number is supposed to represent the
frequency you are on and the names of
each level are represented by nouns used
to describe different mental and
emotional states where shame is at the
bottom and Enlightenment is at the top
I've always shied away from viewing this
chart at face value cuz like who made it
up what does it even really mean and how
do you figure out what frequency you're
at at all it's it's just too much for me
but if we throw away the ultra spiritual
aspect of this chart I think it's just a
really good visual representation of how
the different types of feelings you
exhibit the most affect how your reality
will play out take a good look at that
chart and ask yourself which of these
emotions you feel the most on a daily
basis if you are consistently Desiring
things regret your past and are anxious
about the future feel intense guilt kind
of like how I felt guilt over playing
video games and think everything is
hopeless
what the universe pushes you to do or
the signs it shows you are going to be
extremely different from those who have
been practicing the nouns higher up in
that list really simply put negativity
attracts more negativity and positivity
attracts more positivity and even when
negative things do happen which they
will to all of us no matter what level
we are at the severity of the negative
things and the perception of these
things will be that of love and
acceptance to the person that has
reached those higher levels that
shouldn't really be controversial now
the reason I bring this part of the
story up is because pretty high up in
the chart is the central lesson of this
video acceptance but the reason I don't
like to view this chart as a way to
ascend each new level like you must
Reach This level in order to reach the
higher level is because I think that
acceptance should be the first thing on
that Ascension in order to get to the
higher levels I think that's the first
thing you should strive for and to aim
for before you can reach any of the
other positive nouns before you can even
start to notice the signs that are
pushing you into the person you're meant
to become you have to accept the fact
that right now you are everything you
need to be to become that person and let
me repeat that because I know these
important sentences can go over your
head when you're flying through this
video you are the exact person you need
to be right now to become a greater
version of yourself it doesn't matter if
who you are right now eats five bags of
chips a day binge wanes Netflix and
thinks they're ugly and stupid and has
no purpose this version of you needs to
be accepted
in its entirety if you want to actually
start making progress and be receptive
to the signs that are trying to point
you in the right direction otherwise
you'll try to avoid those signs or just
be blind to them and when things go to
absolute when nothing is going as
planned when you have the worst day of
your life when your friends roast you
when you have no friends when you feel
hopeless you must accept that something
out there might actually know what's
best for you better than yourself and by
surrendering to that idea no thoughts
feelings or outcomes become wrong they
simply just become what is what I found
is that the more that you do this the
more attuned your senses are to noticing
these little coincidences and feelings
that are trying to nudge you to the flow
of life that is most in accordance with
this higher intelligence or what one
would call their soul perhaps but it's
also about what you do and consume on a
daily basis and not just think that
allows you to trust what happens to you
and not get so emotionally swayed by it
much easier the modern world has been
intentionally or unintentionally I don't
really know designed to disconnect you
from leaning into this trust and feeling
connected with everyone and everything
and a huge part of that is due to the
food we eat I can tell you that as soon
as I started to shift my diet from ultr
processed foods to more organic Whole
Foods taking vitamins prebiotics and
probiotics I felt lighter and those
signs and coincidences that I've been
talking about became much more
noticeable and that is why I want to
talk to you about something that has
been helping with my gut health
specifically which is the DS1 daily
symbiotic from today's sponsor seed you
might have heard on the internet of your
gut being referred to as your second
brain and that's because the gut has the
same chemicals and cells as the brain to
help us digest and to alert the brain
when something is wrong so when you take
care of your gut properly you're much
more in tune with the signs that this
Universal intelligence gives you which
is otherwise referred to as your gut
instinct I've talked about the concept
of your gut instinct and how it can be
improved over time in previous videos
and one of the ways to do that is
through taking something like the DS1
from seed it contains billions of little
gut bacteria of both prebiotics and
probiotics that help you break down your
food better strengthen the gut barrier
and support healthy brain function since
I started taking seed almost every day
for a couple months now I've noticed a
significant difference in the quality of
my stool yes I know it's gross to think
about and the clarity of mind I've
gotten from getting in those healthy
probiotics has been been super
beneficial and given me a bit more
energy look I'm not saying that you
viewing this right now is a sign from
the universe for you to start taking
seed but I'm also not saying that so if
you're interested in supporting your
digestion your second brain and getting
more in tune with what your body and
mind wants then you can click the first

the walk going over the same Bridge we
started under I still had some lingering
skepticism regarding the idea of
surrendering all the time Danny said to
me I don't even feel like it's really me
that's making these podcasts I just feel
like the Observer of it all and while I
understood the sense of complete
Detachment from one's ego he was
describing I responded with see that's
what I can't get behind I feel like
saying some higher power is the one
that's creating the flow of my existence
completely discredits the Free Will and
hard work I've actively decided to use
to get to this point in my life I hate
the idea of being a puppet just being
thrown around from one activity and
feeling to the next I know I can control
what direction my life goes to some
extent and giving that up means I'd be
giving up my free will we went back and
forth until a consensus was reached
which was a consensus I've thought for a
while now while there will always be
unpredictable forces at play and you can
call them chance or luck if you prefer
that over God you can choose what you
decide to do with the cards you are
dealt to me it's kind of like a two-step
process one this thing happened and if
it really did happen that means that
some higher power or life knows
something that I don't right now in
order for this to happen and I accept
that reasoning and two I'm going to use
the free will I have to decide what to
do and how to react to whatever
opportunities good or bad that life or
the universe or God has thrown my way
there are plenty of things in my life
that I still can't explain no matter how
hard I try to logically work through
them and I've learned that I I don't
always need to know why I just need to
have faith that this experience is
trying to show me something and that it
will start and end at the exact time it
needs to it may not always be when I
want it to or rarely when I want it to
but that's the part of my life that I'm
trying to relinquish more control over
I'll give you one last example here to
show what I mean more clearly when you
have a virus in your body is it you
that's fighting it off well no your body
automatically defends itself and knows
what to do in other words your body has
a higher intelligence than your
conscious self when it comes to
illnesses and despite that experience
being very unpleasant because your body
makes you achy gives you chills and a
cough it's a necessary experience in
order to eventually become better again
and more able to fight off viruses in
the future in the same way the universe
automatically pushes you towards certain
directions and experiences and even
though the universe may not be conscious
of itself it sure as hell knows a lot
more than you do because it's been
around for a lot longer than you so just
like when you're trusting your body to
fight off a virus on its own you must
trust that what is happening to you in
the moment will eventually lead to a
higher more capable version of yourself
and in the same way that you can
consciously feed your body fruits
vegetables and symbiotics while you're
sick in order for it to unconsciously
work better to fight off the virus you
can consciously make more positive
decisions and actions surrounding the
things that the universe is inclined to
give you to make them start working out
in your favor more often in simpler
terms when the universe presents you
with something accept it see it as
necessary and make the most of it since
our chat on Christmas Day surrendering
to what I once perceived as unnecessary
and unfavorable has become so much
easier to achieve and I don't feel like
a puppet being thrown and pulled into
different directions by the Universe I
still very much feel in control of my
future and what I decide to do but now I
see no such wrong experiences feelings
or thoughts I am more connected to the
things that my intelligent body which
knows a lot more than me in many ways
wants me to gravitate towards so many
bad unfortunate things have happened
over the years but I now realize that
every experience I've gone through has
led me to be the exact person I need to
be right now and at the right time and
at least in that sense I have started to
get out of my own way and
surrender I want to give you some other
resources that I've used to make
surrendering accepting and letting go
much easier these are basically the
habits and actions that I do apart from
the mindset shift that I explained in
this video it is a Google doc Linked In
the description below it's free resource
if you want to check that out and if you
are interested in more videos I've made
