Transcripts
hello my name is Renan and today we are
going to be discussing the unending coil
of Bahamut in a little bit more detail
whilst there are definitely a lot of
guides out there that will walk you
through the general mechanics of a fly
and how to deal with them and it might
also cover some of the essential
mitigation many classes have received
major changes since you have originally
launched in 2017 and the required
healing and mitigation has certainly
changed as a result of this so we are
going to cover roughly what is expected
of you on white mage scholar and astral
Oh Jean at each phase of the fight and
hopefully this is going to be useful to
those of you that are going to be
progressing this content during the
downtime between races if it is I'd love
it if you'd leave a like and maybe
subscribe if you'd like to see more of
this type of content one thing that I
need to note here is that the DPS checks
in you cop are currently incredibly low
it's absolutely possible to have
numerous DPS deaths at every phase of
the fight and still progress as long as
you're able to fulfill the required
mechanics so always make sure to on the
side of caution maintain enough manner
and over heal if you have to let's get
started with twin tonia twin Tony is a
very comfy introduction to the ultimate
fight it doesn't have a very large
healing requirement the mechanics are
slow and simple enough for players to
quickly grasp and as a healer you're
going to have a very easy time with it
because you don't need to deal with the
primary mechanic of the phase which is
hatch your main job here is going to be
worrying about the tanks HP and ensuring
that the raid is topped going into any
fireball stack mechanic the things you
need to worry about healing wise here
are as follows
number one mitigate the party for the
first fireball stat number two make sure
the ranged has enough HP or regen
sticking for their fireball baits number
three make sure the tank is healed for
auto attacks and tank Buster's and
number four make sure the group is fully
topped for fireball stats so how does
this play out on White Mage you're going
to be pre-poll regen and divine been
ascending the tank if you somehow manage
to see the second twist into fireball
make sure that the party is fully topped
in between but you shouldn't see it
nowadays use your off Global's and regen
to make sure that the current main tank
is topped for the tank buster which
they're going to take after auto attacks
I'd advise giving the fire puddle beta
which is usually going to be arranged
divided Benison to keep
I'm healthy maybe a tetra if the group
still isn't topped coming into the
viable Bay ik start with a cure three on
scholar you're gonna be mitigating the
twister into viable pre-poll what I
personally use is an illumination buff
spread Adler for this you somehow see
the second twist center fireball shield
and top people I like to X cog the off
tank at a time coming into the second
tank buster meaning that when they take
the boss they have to sustain from the
auto attacks that follow
whispering dawn could definitely be used
to top the group here for almost the
entirety of the phase if the range
baiting fireballs drops low and I mean
low enough that they're gonna die to the
next viable Bay illustrate is your best
port of call make sure the group is
fully topped going into fireball stacks
in the second half of the fight but you
do not need to shield any of this Fay
Union can also be used on the tank in
the final stage to sustain them from
auto attacks as an astro if you're a
shield asked pre pool mitigate the first
twister into fireball the same as
scholar earthly star is very useful here
the first one can be lined up after the
fireball to top the party serving the
purpose of readying the fire puddle beta
for damage as well as making sure the
tanks are topped for auto attacks if
they stand don't hold your earthly star
for group damage healing just use it on
cooldown as a tank mitigation tool
allows celestial opposition and
collective unconscious to mitigate and
heal the group damage use your instance
to keep the tank healthy it's a very
very simple on the whole but going into
nail you want to make sure that you're
gonna fully top and shield the group and
after the knock back reapply shields and
either a medic or two respected Helios
will just flat-out cure three I think
nail is an incredibly simple phase to
heal on the whole none of the raid
damage hits particularly hard and the
tank Buster's are very easy to deal with
due to the fact that instead of being a
massive single hit they are instead four
or five smaller hits allowing tools like
X cog to proc in between damage very
easily I'm not going to give super
in-depth mechanic specific healing
advice here because I think that the
general principles of healing raids as
your chosen class are going to serve you
well here and honestly nail is a good
test to make sure that you understand
the healing fundamentals at a decent
level try to keep one healing tools such
as regen X cog or PHA Union on the tank
at most times use your instance to keep
them healthy through the auto attacks
for raid damages fully top the group but
you do not need to use shields unless
you want to
Proc that can be helpful in case players
miss the stack occasionally giving you a
bit of lenient when you make it to dive
bombs
I would advise applying group regens and
shields just for an extra safety barrier
and when the boss drops back down on the
tank applying a blow or an expected
benefit to them soon you're gonna be
ready to progress the bahama I do not
think the healing will hold back any
players moving from nail to Bahama
during the Bahama transition pay
attention to whether you have lb - or lb
3 with an lb to the healing requirements
are much stricter and both healers
should be attempting to heavily mitigate
and heal through the damage but if you
have an lb 3 a set of shields and an AoE
heal or two is gonna be good and bahama
is where things are gonna start getting
interesting the trio's hit incredibly
hard and you're going to want to make it
a goal to have strong mitigation that is
gonna get you through the mechanics of
each one safe so I'm going to be talking
about each trio individually I'm also
gonna be mapping swift cast to the
healing of certain trios here if you
need to Reza's player you'll be hard
casting it after the trio has completed
or letting your cast to do that for you
so quick march trio for White Mage after
you dodge your twister you're gonna make
sure that you're in range of the dps
players and you're gonna hard cast the
medaka to make sure that they're taught
for their stack damage throughout the
entirety of bahama you can make sure to
utilize asylum to top up the group in
between trios saving you a lot of man on
scholar you want to prepare a Fae
illumination buffed spread ad low before
the trio give players whispering dawn as
the boss leaves once you've dodged your
twisters use in dom and make sure it
hits the dps players to prepare them for
their stack damage you can also feel
free to add low or ex cog the tank that
is going to be taking the flattened
after the trio on a stroll ojen
regardless of which sect you're in put
up aspected helios and after dodging
your twisters move closer to the middle
use a celestial opposition before the
trio make sure that you've dropped an
earthly star where the DPS stack is
going to be happening which is on the
bosses but usually and pop it here this
should get the party through any
incoming group damage pretty safely
which combined with the HP s of your co
healer will make it very very cozy
after this bahama is going to flatten
the main tank there will be no ray
damage here but for every juror after
this mechanics are going to be followed
up by a giga flare which does a lot of
damage and needs to be mitigated next up
is black fire trio
on White Mage you're going to want to
prepare a medic or two before the
mechanic starts and you can own a pop
swift cast as you begin to dodge the
fire baits as a group
once the raid gets hit by that fire or
stack damage you cure three with the
Swift cast and you move to your position
either the tower or the stat once the
mechanics have all resolved get below
the boss and make sure to fully top the
group as a scholar you want to circle
before the mechanic and you also want to
save your Swift cost once the fireball
damage goes off Swift cost a sucker into
an in Dom to get the groove fully topped
and shielded for the next mechanic once
the towers result places sacred soil
into the boss and you can either ex cog
or Fay Union the tank because he's about
to take a lot of boss damage whispering
dawn can also be used to top the group
in between trios for a lot of the trio's
in this phase and this is a good example
of that Astra has it easy in black fire
trio you can pre shield a regen before
the group against the move just like on
White Mage and scholar and as the group
begins to move to dodge the first viable
puddle hit your collective unconscious
button this mitigation will last until
the stack damaged and it will keep
regions ticking on players afterwards as
well this is also a really good time to
use light speed so you can just spam the
[ __ ] out of Helios as needed throughout
the entire mechanic up until the kicker
Fleur fur trio is called felder in trio
and it's quite a simple one for healers
as a white mage you can regen both the
tanks during the downtime once the party
has resolved the first to nail mechanics
and has stacked in the neuro-link you
want to precast a cure 3 to line up with
the damage coming out then spread to
your position if you need to move and
precast a medica maybe even two of them
to give the group and tanks a little
extra healing as the spread damage hits
and then top the group for Giga Fleur
it's very very simple on the whole
scholar is very similar you precast the
sucker you do the same thing that you
replace those Medicus with a sucker if
you have an astral ojun as your co
healer you may want to consider safety
in dom here as well once this is all
done you can sacred soil on the boss for
the giga flare a union next cog the tank
for his upcoming flatten and use
whispering dawn to top the group up
before the next trio
astro legion can place earthly star as
Bahamut may land - Antonia first drop at
the start of the trio and ensure the
group has shields and regions going into
this trio resolve your nail mechanics
and high
cast heels as needed for the nail spread
mechanic you'll also have access to
celestial opposition here as needed this
trio is honestly quite simple and you
could just got to learn the timings
yourself basically heavens fall trio is
a little bit more precise than some of
the others as a white mage you're gonna
want to precast medica to going into
this trio if any player is flying too
close to the Sun for their knock-back
you may have to keep an instant because
they could need spot healing something
like a tetra or an a flatter skill is
gonna work or wonders here if you need
to do that aside from that the first
time you're gonna need to heal is as you
come in to share the fireball stack at
the end of the trio for this I like to
swift cast q3 followed by another q3 to
top the group for Giga Fleur on scholar
I prepped for this trio with another
illumination buff spread Adler just like
in first trio and I use whispering dawn
as the boss leaves after the towers and
dodges have resolved in dawn as the
group is coming together to stack for
the fireball lay down a sacred soil to
cover both of this and the giga flare
afterwards suck of a giga flare and FEI
union that tank astro is the same apprec
land regen as you go here you're gonna
have access to both Lightspeed and
collective unconscious once again to
make it very very easy as you're gonna
resolve your tower mechanic place an
earthly star in the center of the arena
Lightspeed once the tower mechanics are
resolved you can now spam a couple of
Helios is to get the group fully prepped
and topped for the fireball stack and
then you hit that Cu button as the group
stacks together to cover the hit it
skate the giga flare and prepare for the
final trio ten strike is the final trio
that requires healing and the mechanics
come thick and fast here as well as
requiring a little bit of adaptation so
you want to make sure that your heels
are on point here as White Mage you're
going to prep a medica to going into the
mechanic once the neuro-link hatch
mechanics have finished resolving you
want to move into the middle of the
arena and quickly swift cast a medica
into an a size to top the group if you
were pre positioned in one of the newer
links as a hatch blocker for the second
set of hatch mechanics you can likely
hard cast a second America before that
to for free resolve your earth-shaking
mechanic get to the middle and heal the
group for that final giga fleur on
scholar go into the trio with a pret
sucker and whispering dawn simulator on
white mage once the neuro-link mechanics
are resolved you want to move to the
center to
mitigation for the earth shakers which
in this case is going to be a swift
casted circuit into an end on after this
resolves you can soil and shield to the
final Giga Fleur and make sure to prep
your aether flow stats for ad phase so
don't burn those eight the flow stacks
on useless boss damage once again on
astral Aegean you place a star in the
middle as the trio begins with the
intent of having players pop into it for
the explosion once the hatches have all
resolved you're also gonna want to keep
hold of Swift cast and celestial
opposition to dish out some big heals
after the neuro-link mechanics of result
before going into the Earthshaker once
again after this top shield prepare for
the final Giga Fleur get ready for ads
before you get to progress ad phase you
have to deal with grand octave grand ops
it is another very simple mechanic to
deal with as a healer all you have to do
is make sure the players are topped
going into it once you finish doing the
Mario Kart around the edge which I
assume 99% of groups are going to be
using is their proc strap it's the
easiest by a country mile
the shield healer can cast a quick a OE
shield so a sucker or an expected Helios
on the group and then you just go ahead
and resolve the last set of mechanics
there really is nothing else to do as a
healer here and you shouldn't worry
about this mechanic at all when optic is
over you want to prepare for ad phase as
much as possible as is definitely the
most demanding segment of you cob in
terms of healing because both tanks are
going to be taking almost continuous
damage in decent amounts from auto
attacks and they're going to be followed
immediately by nail quotes that are
often accompanied by group stat damage
from thermionic beam the movement
requirements of the phase can also make
it quite difficult to continuously heal
sometimes so you're going to be fighting
for those G CDs to heal and keep things
safe and you have to be careful to make
sure that you're proactive about your
mitigation so that the tanks stay
healthy healing here is going to be
mainly loaded onto the tanks and in the
interest of safety I would advise you
just make sure to use G CDs if needed
whenever a tank drops below 50% HP you
definitely don't want to have one of
your tanks dying to water attacks at
this point in the fight and the lacking
DPS check makes it super comfy to just
play safe keep regions on both
throughout the phase if possible and a
white mage can utilize asylum to me to
get further auto attacks
generally the only
time you really want to care about any
rate damage is to make double sure that
the DPS have safety going into a
thermionic beam stack and again to make
sure the group is topped and shielded
before and megaflare especially because
these will usually follow one another in
fairly quick succession
so these try to make sure that everybody
is topped even if you need to over heal
and waste g cds to do so the main thing
to watch out for here is the spike in
tank damage after the first Mega Flare
damage comes out this is followed
immediately by tank Buster so instead of
focusing your efforts on topping the
group make sure those tanks get healthy
immediately as a scholar I would
recommend adding each tank individually
going into the phase X cog the one
that's going to be tanking two in Tahlia
and give a union to the tank that's
going to be holding nail from the star
of the phase after that you can then use
your own initiative to make sure that
the tanks are safe sometimes a Nadler
here or there can work absolute wonders
I always try to make sure that the group
has sucker and soil going into a
thermionic beam just in case a player is
late to the stat and then I make sure to
place the soil in such a way that it
covers the Mega Flare damage afterwards
on most of the group immediately after
Mega Flare goes off and Eden Don will do
an amazing job of helping to heal up the
two tanks for their second Busters then
you can set them up in the same way as
before with shields X cog and fare each
other and just repeat as religion can
use collective unconscious very
effectively for the mitigation of mega
fuller helping out the tanks along the
way as well earthly star can also be
used here allowing both tanks to
instantly be safe for that tank Buster
after the Ray tip I think that this
phase is very similar healing wise to
the nail phase earlier in the fight
there is nothing particularly extreme
but it's a very good test of healing
fundamentals just play safe don't worry
about your damage and get to Golden
Bahama so now you've made it the final
phase of the fight
you might feel intimidated but please do
not when you make it to this phase
whilst you're going to be 15 minutes
into the fight and honestly the
combination of the music and adrenaline
might make you feel a lot of pressure
this phase is actually fairly relaxed on
the healing requirements you do need to
keep an eye on your tank at all times
because the auto attacks from Golden
Bahama can hit like an absolute truck
but there is honestly
any kind of necessity to immediately top
the group after hit someone afar so
instead you want to be worrying about
doing things like pushing out extra
damage and relying on your regions to do
a lot of the healing for you as long as
the group is fully tops and has the
mitigation in place going into each more
afar you're good to go
don't need to over heal for this in
shadow bringers I would advise you use
tan communities for the second and third
Ackman which is different than what
people generally did in storm blood this
allows you to kitchen-sink Ackman's one
and four which basically allows you to
pop every single cooldown from each tank
on each of them and it can make them an
absolute joke to heal that reduces the
damage you take from them massively you
couldn't do that back in storm blood as
effectively because tanks had different
cooldowns and different durations on
their immunities essentially which kind
of changed up what you are capable of
doing back then assuming you have a
standard composition
aka one that includes at least one melee
one caster and one range I would use
something akin to the following to
mitigate the 5 mana files in the face
you can play around with these based on
your needs and compositions so please
just use this as a guideline do not use
this as the word of god and something
that you are completely locked into
however if you have something like
double caster or double range you can
add a lot every single mana far or you
can hit 4 of the 5 mana fires with
arranged mitigations which makes it even
easier then depending on which shield
healer you have you're going to have to
do a few different things mono far 2 and
4 especially are going to require a
little extra attention from yourself or
if you have a paladin you can use their
wings here you're going to want to use
group shields on every single monitor
and then depending on your tool kit you
will adjust as follows on scholar I
would use spread out low on mana var1
and mourn afar for and I would utilize
fate illumination on one of our two and
one of our five as well as buffing the
mana far to shields even further with
dissipation I would also make sure to
sacred soil every single morning fire
apart from the first one as an astral
ojen I would use collective unconscious
to buff the mitigation on mana fart -
and mourn afar for and the top of that I
would add the shield provided by Celeste
deal or position for AK mourn one and
Akmal for on the tanks which you are
going to need to heal I would err on the
side of safety pre-shave each tank
individually provide the move regions
and buffs such as X cog and Fae
illumination if needed and heal if you
need to in between hits Tier three
targeted on a tank is a great tool for
White Mage to simultaneously heal both
tanks as is an IND on from scholar or a
pop of the earthly star from astral
ocean these well-timed can absolutely
save you doing any healing G CDs in that
phase if needed from there just Dodge X
the flares to be honest and then enjoy
your new legend title I do just want to
stress that the healing that I have
recommended here is not hyper damage
optimized or speedrun this is going to
get you through the fight safely and you
are definitely capable of getting a good
pass while doing this exact healing but
the intent is to allow first time
players to progress through the fight
smoothly and quickly more than anything
else I hope this video was helpful to
some of you out there that are Praga
through your club at the moment or while
looking into doing it soon further down
the road I'm going to be releasing
healing videos for both Ultima weapon
Ultima and the epoch of Alexander so if
you're interested in that kind of
content I'd absolutely love it if you'd
be willing to subscribe I'm also going
to be picking up a new mic pretty soon
so I hope that future videos are gonna
have a little bit better audio quality
thank you very much for watching and
have an absolutely wonderful day
