Transcripts
so guys in today's video I'm gonna break
down three reasons why I will never work
a nine-to-five job and why you shouldn't
either so guys before I roll into this
video look I have never worked a
nine-to-five job in my life I've
actually never worked a job in my life
ever right and I know actually that
sounds probably really [ __ ]
pretentious and snotty and whatnot
but also keep in mind I started my
business at 17 and became very and it's
scaled very very quickly and also I've
just been hustling since I was like as
long as I can remember I was doing
something I was selling something I was
selling services a you know whether that
be content creation or personal training
right so I don't really buy that but I
want to give you three reasons why even
if this didn't work out even if my
business didn't work out three reasons
why I would never ever [ __ ] work a
nine-to-five in my life and the first
one is I consider working a nine-to-five
modern slavery and I know that sounds
very very melodramatic but explain to me
how you could argue against it when
you're seeing droves and droves of
people come through a system that is
meant to entrap them it's meant to you
know keep it's this vicious cycle that
continues from generation to generation
right where you know you go you go you
go get your degree you work in a job you
work in a job and you know because
you've worked in a job right and you've
gone through the trials and the
tribulations you want a cushy life for
your for your kids so you work harder
and harder and harder right and then out
pops a kid and now they have a cushy
life but once again now they're trapped
in the system again again because the
system right it's meant to keep you down
right everything from the messages that
we're being told online right or through
the media right everything from like
just tell someone you don't want to go
to college right I mean
I'm a high school dropout but tell
someone you don't want to go to college
see what their reaction is oh are you
crazy you have to have a degree
well it's hardwired into us guys so I
consider the nine-to-five modern slavery
because look a slavery I'm gonna have
that's that's the topic I'm not gonna
get into but you know being enslaved by
something is not having options or
freedom and go look at most people's
work life they're in a situation where
they are enslaved by their work and they
do not have options they do not have
freedom and as humans freedom is the
freedom is a [ __ ] thing we desire
it's the thing we crave we don't like to
be restricted where you like to have
options right we like to live life on
our terms and explain to me why you keep
going to it or why someone would keep
working at a job to fund a lifestyle
that they [ __ ] hate explain to why
that happens right explain explain to me
why you work in a job to then go home
and spend a couple hours at home or or
then to be able to afford to drive the
car that you only use pretty much to
drive to and from work to go home to
sleep to then just go back to work
explain to me right so that is why the
that you know and the fact that I
consider it modern-day is one reason why
I would never ever work a nine-to-five
and guys I understand look like you know
I guess I guess you could call me
blessed but I could also guess I guess
you could also you know look at what
I've done and go look like even actually
just [ __ ] took the risk because yeah
no one told me it was a good idea to
drop out of high school everyone thought
I was crazy
even when I told people very early on at
like 14 I told people there's no way I'm
go to college
zero chance everyone looked at me crazy
right so you know I went against the
entire world on that matter right and I
did it okay but look I understand for a
lot of you that's not an option you have
to work a nine-to-five right you know
you got to pay bills or whatever which
brings me to my second point and my
second point is the fact that look you
can get more money more money there's so
much [ __ ] money in this world it is
you is it is actually crazy when I think
I'm playing big I meet someone else and
I realized [ __ ] I'm playing small right
when I think I'm you know I'm you know
when I think I'm cool trying to make a
million dollars this year right or I'm
achieving big things I meet someone else
and I just blown away huh I realize I am
such a small like little like grain of
sand in the world of business right so
the thing is you can get more money
there's always more money guys there's
so much money in this world if you just
lock onto it and that for me is all the
mental stuff that you should be doing
there's almost more money guys but
there's not more time and I think you
need to realize this so to put something
practical into use let's say something
like even say driving for me if when I
get a car it's gonna be for leisure it's
not gonna be for utility if I want to
get someone get somewhere and I want it
to be out of utility I won't drive my
car because once again let's say you
know I'm going somewheres a thirty
minute journey right it's just 30 minute
Johnny and you know that's 30 minutes
out of my day that I can't be working
because I'm behind a steering wheel I
can't be on my phone I can't be
communicating I can't be communicating
with the people that work for me or my
clients or replying to emails or
whatever it may be right and right now
at this stage of my life right if I just
look at my income profit that is income
profit and or even let's just look at
their revenue if I look at my income
revenue and I divide that by the amount
of hours that I work roughly each hour
of work spent is a thousand dollars
pretty crazy stuff right so why would
you know so when I look at stuff like
this I have to ask myself or I have to
remind myself there's always more money
there's not more time so I need to even
if I need to pay more money or I need to
pay money to someone to clean it to a
gardener to an accountant an outsourcer
to someone that works for me that's fine
that's okay
but time is scarce and time you know
you're never going to get time back
right so the the the thing about you
know nine-to-five says your Liberty
selling your time and there's nothing
wrong with that certain stages guys
everyone goes through different stages
and everyone has to go through a process
to eventually reach where they want to
get to but the reason why I would never
work in nine-to-five ever and I don't
recommend it if you have a bit of leeway
I knew I had a you know a ticking time
bomb until I had to work a 95 which why
busted my ass off while I was still in
school while everyone was laughing at me
and mocking me for what I was trying to
do I knew that a bus might ask to make
sure that I never have to work a 95 in
my life ever again and to me I'm so I
mean look anything could happen
I could I could [ __ ] like just spend
all my money on online gambling and you
know like get married and then get
divorced and pay for four kids that
aren't mine whatever like the weirdest
[ __ ] can happen to people things can
derail really [ __ ] quickly but I'm
pretty confident in saying that I will I
will have the pride of at the end of my
life saying I never worked in 95 I never
worked for anyone I have always worked
for myself and I think that to me that's
something I'm pretty proud of but look
as I said it cool I did it but in your
situation I just need you to understand
that look if you need to get through it
if that is something you need to do work
a nine-to-five or worker job that is
okay but just understand you are selling
something that is finite right for
something that is infinite guys money is
infinite and there's so much money out
there you have no idea I don't even
understand every single day I'm learning
to a new extent just how much money
there is out in this world so guys
that's number two and number three it is
a vicious vicious cycle because let me
tell you if you're working in 9:00 to
5:00 you know you wake up you know you
wake up it may be 7:30 where you wake up
senator you're tired you're groggy right
and you go through your morning routine
and then you go to work and from 9:00 to
5:00 you drain yourself I don't care if
you're a [ __ ] barista I don't care if
everything's like tedious and menial you
drain out your energy and you get home
and you promised yourself on the first
on the first of January
18 a new year you promised yourself this
is the year that I'm gonna start my
business this is a year that I'm gonna
change things I'm gonna turn things a
lot turn things around for my family and
you make you made that [ __ ] promise
to yourself but you get home at five
o'clock and I don't blame you guys when
I used to get home from school even you
know I would just be drained I'd be
exhausted and look I was calm because
most the time at the most of time when I
was at school I was just working out
doing my own [ __ ] on my computer right
so I can't even begin to imagine I have
so much empathy for you guys that are in
a 9 to 5 right now I have so much
empathy for you guys ok you guys you
know you guys probably like you guys
observe way more energy than I do
I you know I work really [ __ ] hard
right and I don't think anyone can
dispute that but you exert so much
energy and I know that by the time it's
5 o'clock and you get home by like 6
o'clock right you are so spent you're so
tired that the last thing you want to do
is work on yourself the last thing you
want to do is go to the gym the last
thing you want to do is work on your
relationship the last thing you [ __ ]
wanna do is work on a some online
business that you don't even know is
gonna work out ok I understand that and
that's why it's such a vicious cycle so
guys like even you know if you're
looking to get into social media
marketing or if you're looking to get
into personal branding or affiliate
marketing or whatever my best best piece
of advice would be you have vacation if
you're working somewhere you have
vacation days if you have two weeks
vacation in in your entire year take two
weeks now or you know if you're just
saying you know see you just purchased
of course study that course every single
night and then when you're about to take
action go take a two-week leave on your
two-week vacation for your work because
you need some time to yourself right if
you are you know if you finish school
and you're contemplating building an
online business or any sort of business
take that gap year I beg take that gap
year and look if it doesn't work out go
to college you know what do I know
I what like what do I know you know it
worked for me but that doesn't mean
that's gonna work for everyone right I
could be full of [ __ ] as well take
everything I say with a grain of salt
right but take that gap here because
you're just giving yourself that space
you're giving yourself that space and
that time which is finite Tooley squad
and chase your passion and that's the
luxury that so many people don't have
they're stuck in the cycle when they
wake up they go to work and by the time
they come home they're so tired that
there's no chance for them to get out of
it guys there's like I there's no hope
you know at that point they really just
have to hustle and and you know grind it
out to get out of that circle to get to
get out of that vicious cycle right to
get out of that place where like I'm
gonna say their overhead costs are met
right so guys those are the three
reasons and those are three I'd say
pretty [ __ ] sinister reasons as to
why I will never work a nine-to-five in
my life and I will contain a single day
I wake up and I wake up with so much of
gratitude and I'm humbled by the fact
that I am in a position yes I was like
yes granted I worked my [ __ ] ass off
and no one can ever know and I can say
otherwise right and yes granted I went
against the entire world to to have the
sort of life that I wanted right yes I
did that but I'm so grateful every
single day that I'm in a position where
you know if I want to build a new
business if I want to go from seventy
thousand a month to quarter million a
month which I will be doing this year I
can do that and I have a space to do
that and I have the option and I'm not
someone's [ __ ] slave right and I'm
not a slave to the system okay so for
those of you guys are the 9 to 5 I have
so much empathy for you and I have so
much respect for you but guys it's time
to get out of the cycle and I understand
that might mean that you get 3 hours
sleep at night because you got to work
your job and then work a business and do
that until the business can fund at
least your overhead right and I
understand
for those of you guys who you know are
you know aren't working right now and
are looking to go into college or a
nine-to-five just just give yourself a
little bit of room a little bit of space
to breathe and just you know realize
that you know you have a little bit of a
buffer and you're so blessed to do that
so now is the time to go out and execute
so guys I hope you enjoyed this video
and I'll see you in at tomorrow's
