Outlines
🛡️ Warframe Modding for Beginners: Survivability
This paragraph introduces a beginner-friendly guide for modding Warframes in the game Warframe, focusing on survivability. The guide suggests starting with survivability by categorizing Warframes into tanks, shield tanks, and ability-based survivability. Tanks are characterized by high health and armor, with mods recommended to enhance these attributes. Shield tanks have high shield values, and mods should focus on increasing shield capacity. Ability-based survivability relies on Warframe skills for survival, with mods aimed at enhancing those skills. The paragraph emphasizes understanding a Warframe's category to apply the correct mods for optimal survivability.
⚔️ Advanced Survivability and Shield Gating
The second paragraph delves into more advanced survivability strategies, including shield gating. Shield gating is a mechanic where Warframes become invincible for a brief moment when their shields break. The guide explains how to identify Warframes that are good at shield gating, typically those with low or high base shields that can be refilled quickly. Mod recommendations include 'catalyzing shields' for low shield Warframes to extend invincibility time and 'barrest bite' to refill shields using energy expenditure. High shield Warframes should focus on ability strength to instantly refill their shields. The paragraph also addresses Warframes that don't fit neatly into these categories, suggesting using in-game items like arcanes, helmet systems, or archon shards to push them towards a survivability method.
⚡️ Energy Management for Warframes
The third paragraph shifts focus to energy management, which is crucial for Warframes as they need energy to use their skills. The guide outlines different energy supply methods, including mods for maximum energy pool, energy regeneration, and reducing energy cost of abilities. It categorizes Warframes into 'energy drainers' and 'energy casters,' with the former benefiting from increased skill duration and the latter from a high maximum energy pool and efficiency. The paragraph also touches on energy autonomous Warframes that don't require much energy management and those that barely use their skills. It suggests testing different mods to find the optimal energy balance and refers to another video for detailed information on energy regeneration methods.
💪 Optimizing Warframe Abilities and Final Tweaks
The final paragraph discusses optimizing Warframe abilities and making final adjustments to the build. It covers the four key stats that affect abilities: strength, range, duration, and efficiency. The guide advises understanding the intended role of the Warframe, such as damage dealer, support, or crowd controller, to determine the appropriate mods. It encourages experimentation with different mods to find the best fit for personal playstyle and references online build guides for inspiration. The paragraph also addresses the use of additional in-game items like arcanes, helmet abilities, and companions for fine-tuning the build, suggesting checking the Warframe Wiki for available options. The guide concludes with a reminder to tailor the Warframe modding to individual needs and playstyles.

today I'm going to give you a beginner
friendly step-by-step guide on how to
mod any Warframe in the entire game and
make them super strong now when it comes
to weapon modding in Warframe that's
usually pretty straightforward you just
look at the stats and then double down
into the right ones however warframes
are on a whole other level of complexity
so finding the right mod setups for them
has always been pretty challenging but
today we're going to change that because
I came up with an easy to follow red
line for Warframe in that I want to
share with you right now so after a big
shout out to all my generous channel
members who help me keep the lights on
let's jump right into it all right so
when we're talking about Warframe
modding there are multiple steps that we
need to look at and we will do so one
after the other but generally I would
recommend to start with survivability
how do we keep the Warframe alive now
when it comes to survival there are
three different ways in which we can
achieve it the being tanking abilities
and shield gating most warframes fall
into one of these three categories and
the first thing you need to do is to
figure out which of these categories
your personal Warframe is in so how do
you do that in order to identify a
Warframe we need to look at their health
Shield armor stats as well as their
abilities tanks for example mostly
follow a distinct pattern they have
above average Health usually coupled
with high armor and maybe even a skill
that grants them additional damage
reduction or self-heal a good example
here would be inaros who has the highest
health pool out of all warframes in the
entire game decent base armor and then
two self healing skills as well as one
that grants him additional armor in
other words if a Warframe looks like
that then we're talking about a classic
Health tank now how do we mod for
survivability with tanks quite simple
actually we double down into their
strengths by giving them more Health
more armor and in an Ideal World you
also use the mod adaptation to add
another layer of damage reduction on top
but not every tank is also a health tank
hin for example has next to no HP but
therefore thousands of Shield points she
also is a tank just a shield tank in
this case and the mods here look
actually pretty similar just that for
shield tanks we don't add armor since it
only affects the health and therefore
try to mod for as many Shields as we
possibly can so long story short should
you identify your Warframe to be a
tanking type then increase whatever
they're tanking with as much as you can
and if you have maybe also add something
that helps them in terms of self-healing
or Shield regeneration and that would be
it for the tanks but not every Warframe
survives on just their sheer numbers
alone many have neither a lot of HP nor
great Shields instead they're relying
solely on their abilities to keep them
afloat the best example for this type of
frame would be Revenant his skill Mesmer
skin gives you a set amount of what are
basically free hits that you can take
without receiving any damage so as long
as Revenant has his Mesmer skin up it
doesn't matter how low his health or
Shield are he can simply not die at all
another good example here would be vure
who can just switch her four on to turn
her health bar literally gray and become
completely Untouchable but also stealth
frames like Loki and Octavia count as
ability based of
since their survival fully relies on
them being invisible you know I think
you get what I mean by now so when it
comes to survivability modding for these
kinds of frames then it's unfortunately
not as straightforward as before but the
main principle is still kind of simple
whatever they need to keep their
survival skill running give it to them
Revenant gets more free hits the more
ability strength you have well then mod
for strength lowkey can remain invisible
for longer if you increase his ability
duration well then do that I think this
is actually quite easy as soon as you
found out which skill it is that keeps
you alive and what stat it needs to be
stronger which leaves us with the last
type of survival Shield gating Shield
gating is a mechanic in Warframe where
when your Shield breaks you become
invincible for a very brief period of
time this goes for every Warframe in the
game as long as they have shields in the
first place and the way people use this
to their advantage is they try to build
a setup that allows them to refill their
shields in the very short invincibility
time frame after the shield breaks so
that basically the shields are full as
soon as the player becomes vulnerable
Again by the way if you want to know all
the nitty-gritty details on Shield
gating I've explained this in way more
detail in this video right here but all
right we know how tanks look we know
what ability survivors are now how do we
identify Shield Gators well
theoretically every Warframe who has
Shields can be built build into Shield
gating however some are naturally better
at it than others if a Warframe has
either very low base Shields or high
base Shields with an ability that can
refill those shields in the blink of an
eye that's usually a sign that this
Frame is very good at Shield gating
here's how it works if the Warframe has
low base Shields use the mod catalyzing
Shields this will reduce your Shields
even further but therefore make that
whenever these low Shields are refilled
completely before breaking
you get 1.3 seconds of invincibility
then you couple this with the aamod bra
rest bite that transfers 150% of your
energy spent into Shields so that you're
effectively making it that whenever your
Shields break you just quickly tap one
of your skills energy spend will fill up
your Shields again to full and now
you're safe again rinse and repeat but
if your frame has high base Shields and
a skill to refill those Shields like
Harrow's condemn for example in this
case you want to make sure that this
refiller skill can reliably fill up your
Shields completely in an instant
whenever you press the button in the
example with Harrow the more ability
strength he has the more Shields condemn
will refill for every enemy that he hits
so you would naturally mod for Ability
strength these are the three ways of
survivability tanking abilities and
shield gating and as I previously
mentioned most warframes fall into one
of these categories however most
unfortunately is not all and for those
who kind of don't really fit into any of
this you will do the following if you're
still somewhat new to the game you know
running the normal star chart missions
and story content then don't worry about
it just slap on some health and Shields
and you're probably going to be fine for
the time being however if you're
engaging with higher level content then
the only thing you can do is pick one of
these three ways and brute force your
Warframe into it see if you're further
in the game chances are you already got
access to the helmet arcanes and archon
shards and now would be the time to use
these tools to push your Warframe closer
to one of these three survivability
methods need more Health to be a tank
well there's Arcane blessing and there
are archon shards for that too same with
armor or what if you need self-heal well
then how about infusing seag goth skill
Gloom via the helmet with this you can
pretty much out heal anything and if
it's Shield getting want to go for
instead then guess what Harrows can ST
which we talked about earlier is
available in the helmet as well so long
story short if your Warframe can't fully
apply one of these three techniques all
by themselves use arcanes use the helmet
system or use archon shards to force
them to get there now I know this sounds
like a lot to take in right now but if
you think about it it's actually quite
straightforward first look at your
Warframe stats and skills then identify
which survivability type they're laid
out for and follow the modding
principles that I just showcased and
just in case it was helpful so far then
I just want to say that it would really
help out a ton with the algorithm if you
could maybe spare a like honestly your
support means the world to me so thank
you so much for that but all right I
think we've talked enough about not
dying for now so let's instead lick into
the next step of modding a Warframe and
that would be energy see all warframes
in the game except one I get it have one
thing in common they need energy to be
able to cast their skills so our job is
to make sure that their energy economy
is up to the task now in order to set up
the energy supply for our Warframe the
game gives us multiple options mods to
expand our maximum energy pool mods for
energy regeneration as well as those
which reduce the energy cost of her
abilities so sure you could now go and
slep all of these on to together but
that would use a precious Mod Space that
we probably need elsewhere that's why
now we need to identify which of these
energy supplying methods works best for
our individual Warframe and here is how
we're going to do that first we take a
look at our skills again and maybe also
take our frame out on a little spin to
get a feeling for how exactly they play
in practice the goal here is to
precisely find out how we spend our
energy let me give you an example to
better show you what I mean calibur's
play style is very straightforward have
his exalted blate on as much as possible
and maybe from time to time you trigger
your occasional blind in other words
Excalibur doesn't need you to constantly
spam skills his main energy cost comes
from just having your exalted blade on
let's call these types of warframes
energy drainers for these energy
drainers we don't care so much about The
Upfront cost of skill activation but
therefore want to keep the cost per
second as low as possible from a modding
perspective that then means we need to
focus more on skill duration rather than
efficiency because duration is what
primarily reduces the cost per second
whereas efficiency has a bigger impact
on The Upfront casting cost so much for
energy drainers but there's also another
type of energy use and much more
warframes actually fall into this
category see frames like Vault for
example don't even have abilities that
constantly drain your energy instead V's
play style revolves around casting
different abilities very often you know
setting up his Shields zapping enemies
discharging electricity and so on let's
call these types of warframes energy
casters since in missions you never know
for sure when the next energy drop will
happen for energy casters it's important
to always have a healthy supply of
energy in reserve but also to keep the
casting costs of your abilities
manageable in other words we want a high
maximum energy pool tool and if
necessary also some ability efficiency
maximum energy can be increased with the
flow mods or alternatively also with
blue archon shards in case you already
have access to them and efficiency is
best gained from streamline or fleeting
expertise the last case that I want to
talk about here and don't worry this
will be a short and very simple one will
be warframes that are either energy
atomous or don't really need energy at
all see in case your Warframe of choice
hasn't ability that helps with saving or
restoring energy chances are this skill
alone is already enough to keep you
going this is of course great and if you
build a frame like that then I would
just go and test them out without any
energy modding at all see if that's
enough and only if you have the feeling
that this is not sufficient you can add
a little something to help out and with
warframes who don't even need energy at
all that would be the ones who barely
use their abilities like anaros for
example who naturally doesn't need any
mods for his energy sustain either so
long story short we have energy drainers
energy casters energy autonomous
warframes and those who barely use their
skills at all and I just told you what
to focus on with each type when it comes
to energy modding what I didn't tell you
though is how exactly to refill your
energy again and there's a very simple
reason for that actually I already have
a video that explains pretty much all
the different methods of energy
regeneration in the entire game as well
as when to best use which one of them so
feel free to check out the energy bit
afterwards because now we're looking at
how to actually make a Warframe strong
oh yeah and in case you're still here
watching then maybe you'd like to
consider leaving the channel sub to not
miss out on any helpful guys in the
future welcome to the crew but all right
we now successfully made sure that our
warframes won't die as well as that they
always have enough energy to use their
skills whenever necessary this is the
point where we can can finally go and
make those skills really powerful see
every Warframe has four different stats
here on the side ability strength range
duration and efficiency and most
Warframe skills have corresponding
values like damage dealt how far they
can reach how long they last and how
much energy they cost if you now go and
increase or decrease these four values
then the coresponding numbers of your
skills will change accordingly in other
words to know what to mod for means you
need to decide what you actually want to
focus on but how should you do that see
every single one of the over 50
different warframes is unique with their
own specialized skill set but still
there are certain roles that most of
them fall into you know some frames are
damage dealers others excel at survival
because they have a lot of Health armor
or skills that are keeping them alive
then you have your supports frames that
can heal buff or supply energy to the
team Defenders that can create
protective barriers around mission
objectives and last but not least crowd
controllers who can push enemies away
draw them in or deny them all together
but why am I even telling you all of
this because before putting on mods you
of course should know which role they're
meant to play in the first place for
example a tank probably needs more
defensive capabilities rather than
offensive damage modding and this is
unfortunately the point where I cannot
give you a one-size fits-all approach
that works for every every single
Warframe so instead let me give you some
tips on how you can find the right
approach for yourself first you can of
course always look for a build guide on
your frame of choice online it's great
to get some ideas but I would personally
advise you to not just blindly copy the
mod setup without thinking it through
for yourself better uh do some test runs
on your own for example you could put
all your mods towards ability strength
and then see how your mission plays out
with this approach then afterwards you
decide if you really need that much
strength or if you rather give up a bit
of it in order to expand on something
else and you can repeat this testing
process for duration range and
efficiency as well if you like to get a
better feeling for how you want to
balance these four stats to best suit
your personal play style there's really
no right or wrong here these right here
would be the most important mods for
your ability optimization and also one
thing that I personally want to add here
especially if you're still someone new
to the game it is absolutely no problem
if you don't have all these mods that
we're talking about right away just use
whatever you can to follow the
guidelines from this video as well as
possible and the more advanced mods will
then come over time and stop don't leave
video ain't over yet because there is
still one more crucial step to Warframe
modding that I want to look into right
now see we've established how to stay
alive how to always have energy and now
also how to optimize your abilities to
best best fit your play style but I'm
sure there are still at least a few
slots open maybe you haven't decided on
an aura mod yet or you still have an
Arcane left to pick and this would be
the point where we look at what we have
and see if there are still tweaks that
need to be made you know stuff like
maybe you'd like some more Health
regeneration or maybe in your test runs
it felt like your max energy is still
not quite high enough these are the
issues that we're going to fix right now
and for that we'll look again into
arcanes the helmet system Companions and
archon charts now as you might remember
I've already talked about how we can use
these things to iron out problems with
our survivability and pretty much the
same can be done here too so if you're
still having some slots open then there
will be the right ones available to help
with whatever you require in order to
find out which these are you can either
look through your own inventory and see
if you might already have the right
things unlocked and if not then you go
to to a web browser open up the Warframe
Wiki Pages for Warframe arcanes archon
shards helmet abilities and Companions
and search for something that fits your
needs trust me there is everything
archon shards for damage output utility
and survival helmet abilities for energy
healing and crowd control arcanes for
basically everything and with the recent
update even companions can now make us
crazy op so in case you'd like to know
which out of all these companions are
the the most busted ones then don't miss
out on this video right here also
another massive shout out goes out to a
Kimbo fade Neils V lamees Demon Lord zel
disorder demon Bland waffle and all
other generous channel members for your
continuous support we see each other
hopefully in the next one and until then
as always good loot
