were trying to do like modded system

with the desk but Sammy and the setup

stuff yes which ended up contributing in

a big way but in terms of like which one

was Compu itself more helpful minute to

minute you know I couldn't I couldn't

just sick Sammy at like okay go do that

and then I can completely tune

out but I actually really enjoyed the

different perspective compared to

working with someone way more

like-minded like a bob and Rod where

their interests are all like the overlap

with mine is a perfect circle whereas

having Sammy who is very different from

me provide that very different

perspective and that very different

skill set was a ton of fun and I think

what I would like to if we were to ever

do scrapyard Wars again I think I would

like to try to capture that again having

like you know like an Odd Couple VI

contast on the teams on the teams yeah

exactly that's an interesting idea

there's a reason they do that in reality

TV it's not an accident I have I I feel

like you probably feel the same way I

suspect even when you don't have a

teammate you end up like somewhat

forming a team using the like camera

camera op so like because you like need

you're going through so much crazy crap

SC Wars is genuinely an insane

experience to film yeah the op end up

super invested oh yeah every time

they're like they're like behind the

camera like they're basically end up

like fighting each other because like

and the camera operators are like

it's kind of easier when your teammate

something we were going to kind of prime

lots of channels do it like big channels

will do this all the time have like like

3 hours of just their videos just cut

together and uploaded as one

particularly effective on kids channels

but I do see other channels do it as

well but should we just cut together the

entire scrapyard Wars 9 and just upload

it as a video I don't think it would

perform well out of the gate but that

kind of mega long form content it would

be almost 2 hours with with all four

pieces can do really well on the channel

we good it's a bit of a gamble um I

would be very interested like I I almost

want us to do it just for the science

DVD box

solution that we do all the seasons on

all at the same time so we basically

kill any uh notification viewership on

them and we just let them

algorithmically just boil over time go

out there and see what happens cuz

there's a lot of videos that we have by

accident released with a very very small

initial subscriber push uh one of them

is like a weird controller video where

someone accidentally ticked unticked

notify subscribers oh no um another one

is one where we went live multiple times

because of errors in the Stream the

previous day and we had used up our

allotment of notifications so like a

Saturday morning video that didn't get a

notification like there's been times

when it's happened and in the end it

mostly comes out in the wash and they

they tend to do okay as long as they're

good content and the retention is good I

know of a channel I don't want to I

don't want to dunk on them they're a

friend um but I know of a channel that I

see did

this and you can see the view impact on

a lot of them which was a dump from

another platform and usually they get

like these numbers and it it some of

them ended up doing okay in the long run

but the majority of them but give them

time let them cook that's only a couple

months ago when I say in the long term I

mean over a couple of years big long

term okay yeah like videos that go

they'll go another interesting variable

to try to keep in mind here but it's

going to be tough is the impact of this

on the individual uploads from the past

I CU like are you just cannibalizing

those views or are you getting new views

I would suspect it's going to be and I

mean this is pure speculation but I

would suspect that it would be mostly

net new and the reason I say that is

because the YouTube audience is

unfathomably big I think that we

we think of ourselves as sort of

understanding the size of it we don't

understand the size of it I mean look at

what's been happening with Cristiano

Ronaldo the idea that 50 million people

could be subscribing to him in a span of

how many days was it I don't know soccer

player no I know who it is did they

start a YouTube channel yeah he started

a YouTube channel do you mean

yeah so he's up to 58 million he started

a couple days

ago wa so that should give you some idea

oh dude he's killing it that should give

is huge the appetite for content is huge
