rotting stop this lazy spiral or lazy
habits and get into your productive

people assume I'm like taipe to my core
but let me tell you I was a disorganized
mess okay I had no idea what was going
on I had no idea where things were there
was no or organization systems I had
such a hard time with discipline and
staying productive I would literally
have these spurts of like productivity
being super organized excited motivated
super productive and then I would spiral
off rot in my bed be lazy have no
routines no habits no nothing so I
really know what it feels like to be in
that place and I've done a lot over the
years to change that I feel like I'm
very disciplined now I'm very productive
but I still have a balanced life like
I'm not overdoing it I'm not stressing
myself out we obviously all have 24
hours in a day it's up to you what you
do with it I've done a lot of videos
about time management productivity
discipline we've covered so many things
already so I'm going to have a playlist
it's called getting things done that you
can binge watch if you want some more
tips and ideas organization systems
stuff like that but today I'm going to
share with you my best tips that are
kind of like a guide so you can follow
these in order and you can really
transform your life if you're new to my
channel hi I'm naika welcome I make
videos all about self Improvement and I
make them very like actionable here are
the tips tricks actual concrete steps
you can take to create like a real
change in your life that you're actually
going to notice you know it's great to
be inspired and motivated but sometimes
you need those concrete steps so that's
why I'm here girly pop all righty that's
enough yapping let's get into it number
one assess your productivity style the
first step is you're going to write all
the common tasks you have to do in your
life whether it's work life anything
step two is you're going to look at each
task and decide whether it's a small
brain task or a big brain Tas this is
pretty self-explanatory small brain
things that don't take a lot of energy
Focus like they're kind of easy for you
to do you can maybe listen to a podcast
while you do it so for me those are like
errands cleaning even some work tasks
that like I've been doing for so long
it's like it's nothing to me it takes
almost no brain power you know that's
the point big brain tasks are obviously
the opposite so things that take quite a
bit of focus you need to like sit down
and really dedicate yourself to get them
done for me that's like admin tasks
issuing invo choices uh looking through
contracts anything Financial business
related and then also planning my videos
so those are just some examples step
three is you're going to figure out when
you are most focused you're going to
look at hours in the day so maybe for
you that's from 99 to 12: and then maybe
you have like a little Spurt of
productivity and motivation from like 5
to 6 we're all different it depends on
you I'm the most productive at the
beginning of the day and then also look
at the days of the week for me I'm the
most productive Mondays and Tuesdays for
example and then it kind of drops a
little a little bit and maybe goes a bit
up the end of the week so again it
depends on you the whole point of this
is that you can obviously schedule your
big brain tasks during the days and the
hours when you are most focused and most
productive and then your small brain
tasks when your energy kind of drops
your focus drops and that way you can
really take advantage of your time and
get actually more done and be less
stressed because you have a plan that
actually works for you because you're
working with your own natural rhythms
and brain power one of the things about
me that I will keep doing until the end
of time is save time on tasks that
literally an app can do because why
would I waste my time when I don't have
to that way I can actually get more done
without jeopardizing my free time but
also all the things in my life that are
super fulfilling that I want to be doing
that are not work rated there's
obviously so many amazing tools and apps
you can find that help you with the type
of work that you do one of the best
places to get my favorite apps for mac
and iPhone users is set app they have
hundreds of apps that help you solve
your daily tasks and keep you productive
and organized and the amazing part is
that it's all in one really convenient
subscription and they're actually

is focus you can set your focus and
break times and you can also block
specific websites so social media for
example so you're not getting distracted

game changer for me because I am a very
cluttered Note Taker like I'm all over
the place there's no organization so

use the apps and obviously because it's

manage I personally hate when I have so

them it's hard to manage them it's hard

discipline is an act of self-love and
self- resect this was a game Cher when I
heard it it really changed the way I
viewed discipline it used to be
something so like hard and like
difficult and one of those gym Bros that
like gets up at 5:00 a.m. was super into
it it just didn't seem like something
that was for me you know I'm a soft
girly at Heart Like I that's not for me
so reframing it in that way really
really helped me not to mention it also
builds confidence imagine you have a
friend that keeps bailing on you that's
not really reliable what they say
doesn't really hold any weight you lose
confidence in them you stop respecting
them as much because you feel like they
don't respect you and your time and
therefore your relationship is probably
going to deteriorate I'm sure other
people have let you down maybe
continuously maybe a lot in your entire
life so you have to show yourself a
different way you need to literally show
yourself that you're worthy of showing
up for you know it's worth it to show up
for you and that way you also create a
new standard of how you want to be
treated it literally trickles down to
everything so stick to your words stick
to the things you say you will do and at
the beginning under promise overd
deliver literally promise very little to
yourself and actually follow through
number three we've all heard this one
but it's so important clarify your goals
and break them down I'm going to link my
whole like organ ation system down below
in case you need some ideas you can use
that one if you want to I break down the
way I set my goals the way I break them
down and track them that system
literally changed my life I now set
goals at the beginning of the year and I
actually stick to them and I get the
vast majority of them done if not all of
them and that did not used to be the
case okay I would write so many goals at
the beginning of the year and then 3
weeks down the line I would literally
forget about them so this is how you
change this okay first things first have
a very clear goal I really like the
smart goal method so that means a goal
is specific measurable achievable
relevant and time bound so you have a
goal in mind you check off that it's all
of those five things and that's going to
help you so much and then you need to
have a strong emotional why so a strong
emotional reason of why you want to get
this goal done because if there's not a
strong emotional reason if it's
something maybe a bit surfacy or
something you've seen other people do
that might at the end of the day not be
that important to you you're not going
to stick to it because it's not
important to you why would you
and also very important should have
mentioned this before keep it small
literally if you are not good at
sticking to things right now pick
literally up to three goals keep it so
incredibly minimal I know it's so
exciting to like add so many things and
try to change your entire life in a day
but that is not sustainable it's not
going to happen Okay I'm going to be
honest with you that is not going to
happen so start insanely small even if
it's literally one goal perfect and when
you get that done you build that trust
and that confidence in yourself and
that's going to take you so much further
than literally writing out 10 billion
goals and then getting none of them done
that is going to diminish your trust and
confidence so please please please for
the love of God start small number four
change your identity we as people act in
alignment with who we believe we are and
right now let's say you want to start
working out and be really fit and if you
constantly tell yourself I hate working
out I'm so bad at it I never stick to it
that's not going to be very helpful even
if you don't believe in like positive
affirmations and all of that it's still
like not a good energy not a good vibe
to bring into doing something new you
know what I mean like imagine you step
into a relationship with someone and
they have that view of your relationship
I don't think this is going to work
actually most relationship fail within
the first 2 years or whatever so maybe
we have that time but I don't
know excuse me sir so don't do that to
yourself okay you can literally write
down what you're telling yourself right
now and then you're going to create a
new identity that's an improvement but
it's still realistic like you still
believe it because if you write an
identity like I'm the most fit person in
the world girly poop your brain is not
stupid okay it's literally going to be
like that's wrong and here's a whole
list of why you're wrong and it's going
to make it worse so please choose
something that's realistic of course it
has to be a little bit of a stretch you
might not be there but you believe that
you can so that might be I never skip a
workout even if that workout is only
once a week you never skip a workout
that's a good one to start with for
example another helpful thing is to let
your environment reflect this new
identity so if you're someone who never
Skips a workout maybe you have a yoga
met out all the time or you have a
section of your closet that's very
visible where you have all of your
workout clothes we're doing the opposite
of out ofs side out of mind another
really helpful thing is to literally
overflood your social media with content
like this so maybe that would be a bunch
of gym girlies or yoga girlies or
whatever it has to be something that
makes you feel good though so if it
makes you feel bad and like a failure no
no no no it's positive vibes here okay
now let's talk about time management
some more okay you're going to automate
what you can and you're going to batch
what you can't a few examples of how you
can automate tasks of course this is
going to depend on your financial
situation your work everything so keep
that in mind but I'm sure you can figure
out at least one way you can automate
maybe you're going to start getting your
groceries delivered because you hate
going to the grocery store it takes so
much time and in that time you could be
doing something more worth your time or
something that's more meaningful to you
you get a meeting scheduling tool so
that you don't have to go back and forth
in emails to figure out when you both
have time you can just send send them
the link and be like choose a time that
works for you or maybe you get a cleaner
that comes every second week to deep
clean your house just find different
ways you can automate so what batching
tasks means is basically you grouping
similar tasks together so for me for
example every Monday or Tuesday I have
adment tasks that I have batch created
so emails looking through contracts
issuing invoices um updating my budget
those kinds of tasks feel very similar
to me I feel like the same part of my
brain is activated it really helps me to
stay in that flow instead of constantly
disrupted by doing so many different
tasks that require different things for
me different parts of my brain Etc so
automate what you can batch what you can
number six overcome resistance this one
is a game changer I talked about this in
my discipline video which is still to
this day one of my favorite videos so I
highly recommend checking it out if you
need some more tips more motivation I'll
have that down below but let me explain
what I mean by that obviously we all
know this but a lot of us like to ignore
it when we're starting something new and
it's exciting and it's fun and we just
see all the good things starting a new
habit learning something new changing
yourself in some way getting a goal done
all of that is going to stretch you to
the point where you've never been before
it's going to stretch you outside of
your comfort zone and with that of
course there's going to come challenges
there's going to be some uncomfortable
emotions like am I good enough for this
I messed up so it must mean I shouldn't
do this or maybe even embarrassment like
there are going to be uncomfortable
feelings that is what I mean by
resistance okay and what happens is that
people who are not disciplined make that
resistance mean something they shouldn't
they make it mean that I should just
stop they use it as an excuse of maybe
this just isn't for me you know like
it's hard like I just I'm just going to
stop and as soon as you accept the
reality that learning something new is
going to be difficult it's going to be
challenging you're going to have that
resistance it's going to help you so
much with the way that you then deal
with it so instead of you want to go for
a run you've gone in a few runs you've
had an amazing time because you know you
were excited and passionate and
motivated and then there's a day when
reality sets in and running all of a
sudden doesn't seem so fun okay and
you're sitting on the couch and you're
like I should go for a run I have it on
my to-do list but like it's going to be
so hard I'm going to have to run past
that group of people that's going to be
really embarrassing and then always
takes me like 15 minutes to get into it
I'm tired I'm blah blah blah and then
instead of using that as an excuse and
giving up you can be like okay I was
expecting this this is just natural
resistant that comes up with literally
learning something new anything new I'm
stretching the elastic way more than
I've ever stretched it before and it is
uncomfortable that's fine to admit it is
and when you're honest with yourself
like that you can then be like but it's
not always going to be like this this is
me again stretching the elastic and and
it's worth it like it's worth it to go
through a little bit of resistance and a
little bit of these uncomfortable
feelings to get to where I want to go if
of course these things are good for you
like I'm assuming these habits are you
know good for you not to mention that
most of the time when you then go on
that run and when you come back you
almost never regret it it's almost never
like I was right before when I said I
shouldn't go I was actually correct
you're pretty much never correct so just
see resistance for what it is expected
because it's going to come trust me it
will and then you can be better prepared
for it and stop making it mean that you
should give up because with that
mentality it's going to be really hard
for you to grow and to change things so
again it's creating that trust with
yourself and that confidence you said
you were going to go for a run once a
week so let's honor that okay let's
honor yourself when you are facing this
discomfort with growing and stretching
yourself see it as a sign of progress if
I overcome these stretching pains these
growing pains then I moved on to the
Next Level and then it just gets easier
every single time I promise you this
okay and it feels really really good not
to give up on yourself it feels
incredible number seven build resilience
with Catch and Release what that means
is something goes wrong you mess
something up you fail which again most
of the time it's inevitable when you're
doing something new when you're trying
to reach a goal it's happened to every
single successful person you know you
just see the little tip of the iceberg
and you see everything went amazing for
them but trust and believe they are are
where they are because they knew how to
build that resilience and keep going
despite all the challenges and despite
messing up and failing and everything
they took that as an opportunity to
learn and better move forward because of
what they've learned so with Catch and
Release you are catching the things that
are actually going to help you move
forward so you mess something up you sit
down and you're like okay why did this
happen what misstep that I take what did
I not know previously that I know now
that made me make this mistake and how
can I avoid it in the future you catch
what you need to move forward in a
better way and then you release all the
dwelling and all the self-loathing
questioning if you're good enough and
like oh but I failed everyone does
literally every single person does do
you know how many things I've tried in
my life that I failed at I could write
you a whole novel okay a lot the
dwelling is like heavy weight on your
back when you're trying to reach that
Mountaintop okay which is your goal it's
not going to help so take what it's
helpful put it in your little toolbox
backpack leave the rest behind Okay
waste of time waste of your energy no
number eight identify your
procrastination triggers this is another
thing that I never took the time to look
at that was creating that whole spiral
of me you know being super productive
and then falling off and then trying to
get back up again being super productive
falling off like that I can't even
describe to you how long this cycle was
going on for many many many years okay
what I realized about myself is that
what causes me to procrastinate is
feeling overwhelmed and feeling out of
control and when I was trying to be
super productive I put so much on my
plate which at the beginning was like
exciting like yay new chapter New
Beginning so fun but then when reality
set in it was overwhelming I put so many
things on my plate that it was not
possible for one person to handle
especially a person like me who didn't
have any great habits when it comes to
productivity discipline organ ation
identify what makes you procrastinate if
you're like me if that was you know
being overwhelmed feeling out of control
which are kind of connected in my eyes
creating a really good organization
planning system really really helped me
cuz I was able to give myself enough
time for tasks it took some trial and
error to build that organization and
planning system but once I did I knew
how long I needed to get certain tasks
done I knew which tasks can be a little
stressful for me and overwhelming so I
allowed myself to have more time for
them Etc so write down your
procrastination triggers and then ways
you can avoid them how you can prevent
them for the future not what you can do
when you're already procrastinating but
what you can do to prevent
procrastinating okay that's a big
difference if you're really confused and
you're like N I don't know what makes me
procrastinate one question you can ask
yourself is if I'm being honest with
myself what do I feel right before I
start procrastinating that's going to
give you a really clear answer but a lot
of the time it's feeling stressed
overwhelmed out of control a lot along
those lines for most people last but
certainly not least something I already
just kind of mentioned is to create an
amazing organization system that's
simple and that acts like your second
brain and very importantly this should
be a system that's tailored to you
hopefully you have some new found
knowledge about you know how you work
and when you're most productive and how
much Focus certain tasks take you that's
going to be very important when you're
creating this system again I'll have my
system down below it's a notion template

and I go through everything you can use
that one you can just use it for
inspiration maybe you like other apps or
tools maybe you're oldfashioned you just
want to write it down in a planner or a
bullet journal or whatever literally I
don't care just choose something that's
tailor to you that's simple that you can
stick to you don't have to build a whole
notion dashboard with like all your
routines and meal meal planning and
workout routines and everything keep it
simple to start with maybe at the
beginning you just want a simple to-do
list and and a calendar and that's it

honestly changed my life it helps me so

times you need to find something that
