we were at Porsche Perth where we shared

the prices Now versus where they were

back we were in Aston Martin yesterday

and they had all sorts of interesting

stock and we thought that's an

interesting brand to speak about from a

point of view of pricing where they were

12 months ago where they are now so

we're heading down to ask them of all

the cars to take this would be super

the factory in the big inspection tunnel

he's the last person to the thumbs up

that often cuz that's way too clean well

sport seats how

that is absolutely stunning that's a

speck that's perfect that is the speck

that is it yeah carbon exterior pack

both lower and upper so every bit of

carbon you can put on the exterior yeah

um carbon roof you've got the carbon

ceramic brake discs and one of the this

is the first time you've actually been

able to color match uh so they've

launched this as Martin racing green

caliper right so that with color matched

to the paint of the car and there's just

enough green on tan going on here to be

spot on yeah the carbon Sports seat you

could have done it the other way around

but if you do that you've got tan

steering wheel you've got tan door cards

everything so I think that's enough the

way what are we four days seven days

into the

year it comes with the premium audio so

this is the Aston Martin's own premium

audio system and you can see the detail

you know the speaker gorillas and things

it's still beautiful this list will be

roughly

260 it's punchy then they didn't have

one this nice on the launch they've done

similar so they' did um so this is Aston

Martin racing green I think the launch

spec was iridescent Emerald MH so a

little bit more kind of turquoisey yes

that's your you know racing color that's

Aston Martin's F1 color if you like

brand but we were speaking to a Rolex

dealer down south who is having a new

staircase fitted uh the staircase is

designed and supplied by Rolex and the

staircase is a million and a half

probably what the size of the badge was

when dbx launched so same size it's

actually bigger is it bigger slightly

yeah if you put them next to each

other this the first car that's that

wears the new first Mar with a new badge

yeah right yeah it's really subtle but

there used to be like this sort of

sweeping line there right so there was

semicircle line and then the shade of

green has changed has it so getting

really sad or technical the Shad behind

the Aston Martin tells you what or how

where in the line up it set so if it's

green it's your standard production car

zagato is red cuz it's a special yeah

and then what they call the Halo product

at the time so Vanquish or DBS yeah

superer then DBS will be black I feel

really bad that I didn't know that yeah

Green's normal and then they're what

they call Halo spec right it's got a

black background but it's coming out of

the factory on the right stuff yeah so

they've got I mean what's really cool is

this is a specific developed Michelin

Pilot Sport 5 and the indicator there

AML that means it is a specific compound

and tire developed for this platform

which is awesome everyone's talking

about those tires but what we've also

done is got the mitchellan Alpine sport

tires brilliant especially for us you

can use them all year around yeah the

the crossover of performance is about 7°

wow so as soon as the temperature drops

around about 7even or below seven yes

chck the window win on and you've got

the performance of the summer Tires and

weather like this morning so that's if

someone's looking for naturally

aspirated

V12 um other than I think the reped AMR

yes went slightly longer than this but

this is one of 175 cars that is

absolutely gorgeous yeah stunning not

making any naturally aspirated V12

anymore I mean the drive over this

morning cuz effectively that platform is

that car see yeah it's so special the

enjoyment I mean we were just just

smiling like kids you know because and

and what's great about it is you don't

have to drive them fast to enjoy it

because they just sound fantastic at

accessible speeds so we've just sold a

Vanquish s it was there 5 minutes ago um

start it up take it out the showroom

nothing sounds better than that it's

amazing isn't it there's nothing I think

the cold start on these is one of the

best so when these launched these were

just over 200ish right yeah yeah

depending on spec and options and things

things you were um anywhere between kind

of 200 220 so actually for what is this

a 2018 car 2018 it's actually not done

too badly has it that well you think on

average um when you run a PCP example

for on a brand new car yes most

manufacturers or most finance companies

give will give you a residual of 50%

after 3 years that's kind of average

yeah that's well last of its kind small

numbers everyone loves a front engine

naturally aspirated V12 and it looks the

business yeah it's so cool the interior

is spectacular it's gorgeous absolutely

stunning you know what I love that you

don't see straight away is if you look

at the the headlining oh wow yeah look

at

that so they think of everything and put

details absolutely everywhere so that's

there to highlight obviously with it

being the the ultimate it matches the

the bronze leather if you like

on the center console and then the other

kind of very subtle touch is they've

actually put on the the side strike on

the carbon side strike that bronze

Vanquish s ultimate with the the

silhouette of the the Vanquish on there

as well so it's all the tiny little

touches that they put in in the extra

detail that lets you know it's not just

a Vanquish and it's a celebration of man

I I love Aston I just do I I just

there's something about them I know it's

not they're not well outside of Valkyrie

but they're not about lap times or

anything like that just the way was

saying when you get in one you just feel

like a rockstar just they're just so

good the the reception you get driving

in Aston Martin that's something that

we're so lucky to have and you can't buy

that you can't manufacture that that's

over a 100 Years of yes you know brand

affiliations and Ethos of the brand you

still give off a classy ethos you know

people don't if you drive for example a

bright orange Lamborghini or a bright

red Ferrari yes I always say sometimes

you get a different hand gesture yes

that's probably the honestly I'm not

just saying this once upon a time I had

a black Ferrari 458 yeah and I tuck it

in for a service and joined the service

they gave me a Roso Corsa one to use

that day yeah the difference in

reception from the same car in red and

black was unbelievable like I was happy

to it back cuz there was just something

about this perception of a of a of a

dude in a bright red Ferrari I got back

in the black one and then like people

let me out at

register that car brand new you've got

delivery from Factory and you've got

your first year registration in Road T

Li so it would been slightly lesser but

you're talk at 190,000 190 Grand that

spec this physical car that I'm standing

at front of right now 190 so that is um

it doesn't show on there but that was

launch spec so that's one of the first

500 d11s so spec on that has everything

so it's full fat yeah it's got bang and

off in audio it's a V12 um it's got all

your black exterior packs um it's got

the upgraded leather everything I can't

believe what I'm seeing here so 191

grand for that car we're still in front

of right now and it's currently on well

psychologically um the difference in

value so that is now sub7 k for this car

monthly payment now in no means am I

saying in the real world 720 is a cheap

monthly payment but a lot of the time

you'll see a payment of 720 and you've

got to pay a 50,000 deposit yeah that's

based on 12950 13 Grand so it's not

crazy in terms

so you think you can drive that's a lot

of car this is a V12 Aston V12 600

horsepower just shy 70k yeah 20,000

miles Cy that's a that's a shift isn't

it yeah it's got to be one of the best

value DB 11s anywhere it yeah it has to

be and couple would have been part of

our Timeless program as well so we put

on full 12 month extended ason Martin

warranty on it and it gets fully

prepared as close to a new car as we can

possibly make it I tell you if you're a

buyer

currently you're in the candy shop

aren't you you are in the candy shop the

options list on it so that is a real

full fat spec isn't it so that's

everything that was optional um now a

lot of it um will shows options that

came as part of the launch spec um so

you know it doesn't actually show there

but your your sound system on that bang

and Olson sound system if you to spec

that onto a normal DB1 you're £6 and5

th000 that's 10% of the value of what

that car is yeah in the sound

system did I just spot forged carbon in

this forged carbon inside here look at

the doors and it's gloss as well it's

got gloss forged Carbon on these door

you you're not looking at that and going

that in as part exchange yest what's the

so that's a V8 oh right okay so there a

different it's not different as highly

spanked no as that I'm starting to look

at that

at that price of 20,000 miles on you

could use it and it wouldn't be much

further back afterwards yeah which is in

itself is a compelling proposition all

you need to do is look online and see

you know can guarantee there's not many

cheaper mhm um but if there is any

cheaper there'll be higher mileage sure

and that I mean and unlikely to have

that spec exactly yeah so you run that

car and put cuz that let's be SE I

that's had abnormally low mileage to get

to this point sure cuz that's now in its

eth Year yes and it's 20,000 Mi so

that's on average under 3,000 m a year

barely use really that yeah so it's you

could then use that daily bring the

mileage back up to what you would expect

for a daily use car if you want to jump

in I'll show you actually so we've got

the the Onyx black and light Argento two

tone interor and with this you've got

got heated and cooled seats um you soft

closed doors

professionally big head unit display

that you've got your satellite

navigation you can get apple carplay

onto that you got wireless charging as

an everyday this is an everyday car that

you can use it's such a Best of Both um

we've had so many people that have

traded in two cars for one so if you've

got a Porsche in a Range Rover yes

that's interesting you can have the feel

of a sports car yes because this feels

like a sports car to drive it this

genuinely not a sales pitch it genuinely

is yeah I mean Aston let me loose in one

of these on Silverstone circuit and we

use it as a tracking car for a

valkyrie I'm I'm dead serious I mean

this thing bends physics it's it's also

a bespoke exclusive platform to this car

it's not a component shared thing I

think um if I remember correctly when

this launched I think it's got more head

head room leg room and boot space than a

exactly

yeah which is impressive for something

that hustles as fast as this thing yeah

to have a a cracking night out but the

place is fabulous so if it's not too

believe the the impression when you get

when you walk in it's just awesome when

you moved in here was this like this or

four weeks painting all this ceiling I'm

we take zest from limes lemons oranges

we take just the zest and little bit of

the juice and we make a mayonnaise with

that so that those are all starters and

then so yeah f a little bit that that's

the Bata with tomatoes Heritage Tomatoes

Bata and some uh

carbonara yeah that's car that's that's

that's got you written all over it you

but for you we're going to make a

carbonara for too so basically we make

the carbonara in front of you on a Pino

wheel on aino Wheel the wait is coming

and it's mixing the carbonara and it's

serving to you that's what you're going

to try later on and to think we were

about to stop at a service station on

the way for sure you're going to go with
