cómo revolucionar el sistema financiero
argentino nos daba realmente vergüenza
que más del 50 por ciento del país nunca
había tenido acceso al sistema
financiero formal y queríamos cambiar
eso lo primero que le dije ayer es la
idea está buenísima pero no sé qué tanto
se puede hacer hace 12 años no se admite
una licencia bancaria en la argentina no
hay bancos digitales no hay nada cercano
a esto acá empezamos a discutir la idea
en algún momento que sembró la duda de
qué capaz y se podía hacer y a partir de
ese momento se nuevo marcha atrás los
inicios fueron charlas charlas charlas y
charlas empezamos a hablar con un montón
de gente del sistema y nos dijeron que
era imposible que cada vez que nos
decían que era imposible nos daba más
ganas de hacerlo nosotros el sistema
argentino hacía años que
que los modelos serán siempre los mismos
los jugadores serán siempre los mismos
pensar en armar un modelo de
fin en medio de pago nuevos nuevos
esquemas era bastante difícil la
decisión de empezar wallace es como ir
en contra del status quo en contra de lo
que están entidades que tienen cientos y
cientos de años y es pensar que vos de
la nada puedas empezar a generar algo
que se vea competirles en algún sentido
o sea era de una cosa que parecía loca
en ese momento pero que por alguna razón
nosotros creíamos que podíamos hacer
digamos ocho personas con una idea y
buenas intenciones además y llevar lo
hizo de la nada misma a un producto que
iba a usar muchísima gente y la barba y
menos está contra motivada era bastante
innovador como se quería resolver un
problema muy grave que era la falta de
bancarización en argentina
y eso ya de por sí me motiva desde otro
lado el desafío de hacer un proyecto que
pueda cambiar la vida de las personas y
no simplemente desarrollar tecnología
por desarrollar trabajamos más de un año
y medio casi dos años sin poder lanzar
un producto porque teníamos que
reconstruir toda la estructura que nos
permitiera tecnológicamente hacer frente
a lo que queríamos hacer
no tenemos oficinas teníamos una idea
super linda tengamos un ruido loco que
decía que podíamos hacer este sueño en
realidad y no mucho más empezamos a
trabajar la primera reunión fue un
starbucks específicamente que estuvimos
5 horas ahí ya nos estaban mirando feo y
después pasamos al link de la casa de
damián piedra voy a tener unas
computadoras me decía bueno hay que
darle al sólido pero como que tenemos
unas computadoras te digo así nomás
y entonces nos fuimos a un bar a
starbucks
y empezamos a partir las computadoras ya
pero entregando computadoras si no tengo
nada osea es desde mi mente el
conservador y bueno y empezamos a
trabajar desde ahí la comunidad ir a un
starbucks en la trabajo de javier
alcaldes nos juntamos con con damm y con
ezequiel que lo conocía ahí y jaime
trajo la compone una bolsa literalmente
y ahí no había casas porque nada ellas
originan javi nos dio la la notebook
para que trabajemos en un starbucks es
muy informal firmamos un papel así que
realmente no sabíamos para un libertado
había una idea de que iba a ver una
oficina en argentina pero en ese momento
no había nada así que nos juntábamos a
trabajar en la casa marcelo tomando
mates nos juntábamos en algún que otro
starbucks y vamos rotando un poco y
después trabajábamos remotos nosotros
habíamos arrancado con una idea que era
casi como un sueño que tierno se había
compartido y lo que teníamos que lograr
era ver cómo transformamos esa idea en
un producto que realmente pudiera hacer
una diferencia y eso tomó mucho tiempo y
muchas frustraciones entender el negocio
aprender que había disponible y demás
después ya el equipo empieza a crecer
como bastante bastante para para todos

teníamos contactos bastante más
profundos con mastercard con un global
proceso y que era el procesador de la
tarjeta el trabajo con ellos serán los
que nos iba a llevar que en octubre
terminamos lanzando la primera tarjeta a
la calle

a partir de junio estábamos buscando una
fecha de lanzamiento que vamos hasta
cualquier hora donde hablábamos todo el
día de esto fuera de horario fines de
semana estamos obsesionados por esto
logramos sacar la primera versión
finalmente en octubre decidimos lanzar
con lo que teníamos e ir al mercado y
ver como respondía en ese momento como
sin incertidumbre no tenemos la menor
idea si esto va a funcionar o no capaz
que emitíamos 200 tarjetas y entramos el
tenemos cerrar las puertas y cuando
empezamos a ver el contador es que
tenemos de repente las 100 personas que
eran éramos todos amigos familiares y
pidiendo por favor que se la bajen se
convirtieron en miles fue una sensación
sería de sorpresa absoluta por más que
estamos confiados en que ibas a ver bien
verlo realmente plasmado en números era
fue algo espectacular estaban viendo hay
un gráfico con persona minuto a minuto
que venía muy estable
y de pronto terminar la entrevista y
además que el punto se pasa salta para
arriba
y no lo podíamos crear ahí fue como esto
es real esto está pasando la gente yo
algo ya está descargando porque le
interesa
la gente gente que nadie conoce gente
que viva pierdes cargo y ahí fue cuando
hice un clic y dije esto no va a
funcionar ahora que el crecimiento fue
increíble los primeros días nosotros nos
quedamos hasta cualquier hora probando
usuarios porque nosotros esperábamos que
solamente 50 100 personas se fueran a
sumar y la hora que había muchas más
entonces no teníamos validadores que son
parte esencial del equipo para sumar a
la gente a la experiencia de igualdad
entonces lo teníamos que hacer nosotros
ese primer fin de semana por ejemplo nos
quedamos todos haciendo validaciones era
manual y éramos nosotros
ir a sentarnos a bailar pasábamos días
fines de semana hemos hemos hecho
almuerzos hemos organizado para validar
usuarios
puede el lanzamiento la verdad que a los
tres meses ya nos sorprendimos de haber
tenido 20 mil tarjetas emitidas era un
ritmo como fenomenal después los números
nos empezaron a sorprender llegar a los
100 mil usuarios mucho más tempranos de
lo que nos imaginábamos yo recuerdo las
reuniones que teníamos de proyección en
ese momento y superamos absolutamente
todas las expectativas teníamos hambre y
estiramos muy ambiciosos pero la
realidad en un superó

si me decías hace tres años que vamos a
emitir un millón de tarjetas
estás totalmente loco pero ni siquiera
le dijimos más que quien te imaginas
cuando usando tarjetas nunca lo dijimos
era que si emitimos 100.000 tarjetas es
un sueño su sueño era un éxito
definitivamente a un millón
en esos usuarios ahí fueron muy buenos
creo que esa fue la firma de que esto
realmente explotó en dos años llegamos a
un millón de usuarios ahora queremos más
hay mil cosas para hacer cada día que
tenemos dispara otras mil ideas
para mi igualada es una revolución una
revolución en un sistema financiero que
era anticuado que era cerrado nosotros
venimos a abrirlo nosotros venimos a
hacer un sistema financiero que sea
inclusivo que sea para todos que sea
atractivo fácil y eso es lo que nos
motiva a todos los días agua la app
inició una revolución entonces trabajar
en una empresa que estás en una
revolución es muy distinto a trabajar en
cualquier otra empresa
y creo que es algo muy interesante
al momento de elegir un trabajo no pasa
todo el tiempo no todas las empresas
tienen esta posibilidad
estar acá hoy no se te va a dar nunca en
tu carrera profesional o sea es un
momento en la historia único en el cual
lo puedes generar desde una aplicación
algo que le compitan entidades que
tienen 150 años de historia no sólo
estamos llevando tecnología sino que
estamos llevando unas artes a la gente
de que lo que realmente decimos que
vamos a hacer es lo que estamos haciendo
no hay nada oculto no hay no hay nada
es todo muy transparente es todo muy
abierto somos una empresa horizontal
todo eso yo creo que todo eso se nota y
la gente lo nota
y creo que eso va a ser uno de los
valores a los que
con los cuales vamos a poder llegar cada

otros países o sea un poco cambio todo
pero nosotros queremos seguir teniendo

por como no nos viene no está saliendo

armando también
y como veo que cada uno cada persona
tendrá se hace parte del proyecto y lo
toma como algo personal y como estamos
haciendo algo que realmente creo que
todos nos sentimos orgullosos parece que
no tenemos límites
el éxito de wallace sin duda es
consecuencia del equipo humano que queda
trabajando volada se hizo un esfuerzo
muy grande para que se mantenga la
cultura para que sea un lugar donde la
gente disfrute de trabajar y esa gente
que veo que cree en la misión tanto como
lo queríamos ese día que no teníamos
ningún usuario y éramos 15 chicos en un
work a las once y media de la noche
lanzando un producto que nadie sabía si
