basically her channeling AWA remember in

their way over to the link station where

the colonel was killed in The High

Ground comic the kids go over to a

similar crash site where they come

across an old sa2 Samson spider enters

the Samson thus adding weight to it and

causing it to fall from the vines that

were keeping it up Kiri and took were on

these Vines when the Samson just decided

to leave so curious end up hanging from

the vines and holding on for dear life

the first thing Kiri does is call on Ewa

to protect her and took then suddenly

like out of nowhere kiri's eyes glow up

and she calmly handles the situation

first by getting took down from The

Vines and then herself when she lands

she goes like was I doing doing

something weird again the same exact

thing happens at the end of the way of

water because of her close connection

with AWA Kiri is able to understand the

way of water without necessarily being

taught it the water is an extension of

Pandora's network of energy the network

has no beginning no end and it connects

all things this is how Kiri is able to

use her Q to connect with the Daisy

anemone to control another Daisy anemone

and save the day as she uses the plant's

venomous tentacles to inject the humans

with said Venom in order to make the

humans stop moving so the aquatic plant

can throw the humans down its mouth and

then start breaking down their bodies

using digestive enzymes yeah that scene

is less moving the more you know about

it but just in case you were wondering

yeah the scuba diving team definitely

dies at the end of the way of water Kiri

is able to form Pathways using large

amounts of hammerhead squids these

glowing yellow squids form a path so

that Kiri can navigate through the ship

in order to find her family and get them

the heck out of there at that moment

these cute little squids are

representing the way of water it's the

same kind of Pathways that we saw from

the network of energy and dream hunt or

in Grace Augustine's research when Kiri

goes into full AWA mode I noticed that

she's less of an awkward teenager and

more of an adult even sounding more like

her mother after Kiri gets natiri and

took out of the sinking ship she thanks

the great mother for her guidance in The

High Ground comics and at the beginning

of this film Kiri is kind of unaware of

when she goes into the state of

channeling AWA but at the end she's

fully aware of her presence there's a

really good quote from awat in The High

Ground comics where she claims that AWOL

will provide but she does not drive the

arrow into the animal for us when we

hunt we do and that perhaps Jake was the

arrow they needed to drive into the

heart of their enemy I feel like even

though uh Kiri is more passive because

she takes after her mother Kiri is

metaphorically the new Arrow oh and

speaking of Curie Kiri is very accepting

of a human among the omatikaya that

human being spider or miles a 16 year

old who is a good high fight for his

friends being Navi as he himself is six

feet tall meaning he's only one and a

half feet shorter than Kiri Kiri ended

up giving him the loving nickname monkey

boy claiming that he's like the brother

she never had even though she already

has two or had to spider was orphaned by

the war between the navi and the humans

in the year 2154. his father being

Colonel Miles courage and his mother

being Paz Socorro a pilot who was killed

by a navi Warrior during the war spider

would have gone back with the humans as

they were getting forced off the planet

but they couldn't put babies in

cryostasis so he was fostered by a human

family on Pandora where he spends most

of his time with Kiri being an orphan

herself Kiri can definitely relate to

spider and I feel like that's where

their friendship really stems from also

Kiri has taken took under her Wing

showing her stuff like paying respects

to Ikon watching the decayed animal

getting taken back into the Moon by The

Vines teaching her that it's returning

to AWA but enough about took back to

spider so at times Kiri gets peanut

butter aren't jealous of the walking

spider's relationship loock loves Spider

but doesn't view him as a brother he

views him more as like a cousin Jake is

indifferent when it comes to spider

referring to spider as a stray cat

natiri however claims that spider

belongs with his own kind when the kids

get in trouble for their Samson

shenanigans spider takes the blame and

natiri goes like oh of course it's like

always you you worthless piece of Sky

people and then just goes for him

telling him to stay away from Kiri

natiri absolutely still hates the sky

people so she kind of uh what's the word

what am I thinking of oh yeah doesn't

like spider at all earlier in the comics

there's this moment where nateiri wants

to give thanks to Aiwa as a family and

then out of nowhere Kiri comes in and is

all like hey spider why don't you come

with and then natiri says um excuse me

Sigourney Weaver's Miracle child this is

a family gathering spider is like don't

worry I can read a room you're good but

then Kiri doubles down and says he is

part of the family natiri just not

handle it well at times natieri claims

that she wants to bite spiders head off

and honestly at the end of the way of

water when spider observes natiri and

full Mama Bear protecting her Cubs mode

it was like all of spider's worst fears

coming to life to be fair I think natiri

was being a little unfair not

necessarily for hating the sky people I

mean after all the sky people did kill

her father her sister sute a lot of the

omitikaya clan and later on even her son

native in the year 2169 more than half

of the remaining humans at Hell's Gate

just straight up abandoned the navi when

the RDA returned oh I almost forgot they

also killed her ikron the sky people

also destroyed the tree of voices and

wanted to destroy the Tree of Souls

destroying the tree of voices resulted

in basically erasing the entire memory

of her ancestors including the memory of

people like her sister who recently

passed away due to set Sky people they

mine precious metals from the ground and

now they're just trying to take over the

entire Moon and they broke her father's

bow the same one that A2 Khan gave her

to protect the yomatikaya clan you know

the same clan that she had to abandon to

run away from said Sky people I found it

kind of poetic that she broke her bow

the same night that she failed to

protect her son spider is obviously

aware of how much natiri hates him in

The High Ground comic when kirian spider

are just hanging out watching the site

26 video logs spider understands that

his parents are not V Killers but that's

not a reflection of who he is this is

where I think niteri is being unfair

it's how she's blaming spider for the

sins of his father and basically blaming

him for all crimes of the sky people in

the prequel Comics spider is pushed to

the point where he blames Natori for

taking away his family once again

nateiri doesn't handle it well this

exclusion and lack of a solid parental

figure is what pushed spider to save the

colonel as it was almost spiders one

real shot of having an actual parent who

loves him so if anything natiri's blind

hatred towards All Humans is what ends

up saving the Colonel's life also she

may married a human she should know by

now that not all of them are bad Kiri is

more open to talking about stuff with

Jake mostly because of the close bond

that he and her biological mother shared

Jake even opens Avatar the way of water

with a quote from Grace showing us how

much he's adopted Grace's mindset Jake

is a more strict father but tends to be

more accepting than natiri and over the

years he's integrated the ways of the

humans into the ways of the omitikaya

clan on Pandora Jake is breaking the

Third Law of AWA by using medals from

the ground AKA using rifle he even goes

on to teach his son how to use a rifle

as well Jake being a former Marine and

contributing to the death of soldiers

like spider's mother leaves him with his

skill and responsibility for someone

like spider as he's not wanting to hold

spider accountable for the sins of his

father at the end of the way of water

Jake narrates a son for a son I took

this as him losing his son native but

gaining spider as the sun even after

everything with courage and natiri

spider still considers the sullies to be

his real family the same way that Kiri

considers Jake nateri and the rest of

them to be her real family while on the

other hand I think for a moment there

natiri was gonna do it as in being okay

with taking spider's life literally

trading a son for a son and not just

symbolically cutting him like how Jake

gets cut when giving up his leadership

role for the yamantikaya when natiri has

spider and the colonel has Kiri the two

of them are just begging their parents

not to harm the other from the beginning

spider and Curie were very protective

over each other and this hostage

situation at the end truly solidifies

how much they consider each other family
