Q & A
What is the primary argument against dairy consumption for adults presented in the transcript?
-The primary argument is that dairy is meant for babies and not adults. Consuming dairy can lead to higher levels of inflammation, visceral fat, and decreased mental health.
Why does the speaker believe that dairy can cause weight gain?
-The speaker believes that consuming dairy, even in a carnivore diet, can lead to significant weight gain due to its natural hormone content which promotes growth and weight gain.
What are the speaker's thoughts on raw dairy products?
-The speaker acknowledges that fermenting dairy can make it less inflammatory, but insists that this does not make it healthy. Raw dairy, including raw milk, cheese, and kefir, is still not considered appropriate for adults.
How does the speaker view the role of hormones in dairy and their impact on human health?
-The speaker highlights that dairy contains natural hormones, not just added ones. These hormones are designed to promote growth and can contribute to weight gain and other health issues in adults.
Why does the speaker agree with some aspects of vegan perspectives on dairy?
-The speaker agrees with vegans that there is no place for dairy in an ancestrally appropriate diet for adult humans.
What is the speaker's stance on the consumption of fruits in the human diet?
-The speaker argues that fruits, high in sugar content, were historically consumed to store fat for survival during harsh winters. In modern times, with year-round food availability, this is no longer necessary or beneficial.
How does the speaker explain the historical consumption of fruits and its purpose?
-Historically, humans consumed large amounts of fruit in late summer and fall to gain fat, which served as an energy reserve to survive through the winter when food was scarce.
What analogy does the speaker use to explain the human behavior of consuming fruits for fat storage?
-The speaker compares humans to bears, which eat pounds of berries to gain significant weight for hibernation, emphasizing that the purpose was to store fat rather than gain some magical nutritional benefit.
Does the speaker believe there is a long-term benefit to eating lots of fruits and berries?
-No, the speaker does not believe there is any long-term benefit to consuming large amounts of fruits and berries, as their historical purpose was for fat storage rather than health improvement.
What is the speaker's advice for people trying to achieve a lean and healthy body composition?
-The speaker advises against including dairy in the diet for those trying to achieve a lean and healthy body composition, as dairy can lead to weight gain and inflammation.
Outlines
🥛 The Debate on Dairy in Carnivore Diets
The speaker discusses the varying effects of dairy consumption within a carnivore diet. While some people achieve their desired body goals with dairy, others, including the speaker, need to eliminate it entirely to avoid weight gain and inflammation. The speaker argues that dairy, even in its raw forms, is not suitable for adult humans and can lead to increased visceral fat and mental health issues. Additionally, the natural hormones in dairy, meant for growth, can adversely affect those aiming for a lean physique.
🍓 Seasonal Eating and Historical Context of Fruit Consumption
The speaker elaborates on the historical context of fruit consumption, explaining that in the past, eating fruit was a survival strategy to store fat for harsh winters. Today, with modern food storage methods like refrigerators and freezers, this is no longer necessary. The speaker compares human behavior to that of bears, who eat large amounts of berries to gain fat for winter. The argument is made that there is no long-term benefit to consuming large amounts of fruits and berries in the modern diet.

Highlights
Many people on a carnivore diet can consume meat and dairy and achieve desired results, but some may need to eliminate dairy entirely.
The speaker, despite being on a carnivore diet, would gain weight with daily dairy consumption.
Dairy is considered inappropriate for adult humans from an ancestral perspective.
Even raw dairy (milk, cheese, kefir) is seen as less inflammatory but not necessarily healthy.
A significant subset of people should avoid dairy due to its inflammatory properties and its association with increased visceral fat and decreased mental health.
Dairy is for babies, and overconsumption can lead to negative health outcomes.
Dairy contains natural hormones, including estrogen, which can affect human health.
Human milk, often praised for its colostrum, is also full of hormones meant for babies.
Hormones in dairy, including added ones like bovine growth hormone, are meant to promote growth and weight gain.
Bodybuilders might use dairy to bulk up, but it's generally not suitable for those aiming for a lean body.
Fruits served a purpose thousands of years ago when humans needed to store fat for survival during harsh winters.
In the past, humans consumed a lot of fruit in late summer and fall to build fat reserves for winter.
Modern conveniences like refrigerators and freezers eliminate the need for seasonal fat storage.
The strategy of eating lots of fruit and berries was historically about survival, not nutrition.
Mimicking ancestral eating patterns with modern conveniences can lead to unnecessary fat gain.

Transcripts
there are a lot of people who can go on
Carnival they can eat all the meat they
can eat all the dairy they like and
achieve the body of their dreams see
tremendous results but do you think
there is a percentage of people who do
need to eliminate Dairy almost entirely
uh to to get to the goway 100% yeah and
I'm one of those if I continued
carnivore but I added in the amount of
dairy that I would like to consume every
day I would be 20 or 30 pounds heavy
heavier within three months and it would
not be muscle uh it's it's very this is
one thing I agree with the vegans on
there is no
place if we're being ancestrally
appropriate here there is no place for
dairy in the diet of an adult human and
I'm sorry this will make some people mad
but this includes raw dairy this
includes raw milk raw cheese raw cafir
though I think the more you ferment da
the less inflammatory it is absolutely I
agree with that but that does not make
it healthy it just makes it less bad and
so there there's a I think it's a large
subset of people that they can include
some Dairy as long as they moderate that
and and limit the the volume they can do
just fine but there's a there's a
significant subet of people that need to
realize Dairy is for babies it's not for
adults and to the degree with which you
overc consumed Dairy you're going to
have higher levels of inflammation
higher levels of visceral fat higher
levels of uh decreased mental health
you're just not going to do as well and
uh this hurts a lot of people's feelings
and I'm sorry for that but Dairy is for
babies another thing with dairy that I
see that is often not discussed very
often is the hormones that Dairy
contains you know things like estrogen
things those sorts of things you know
many people talk about the effects that
the carbohydrates have in the dairy and
the inflammatory properties that come as
a result of the pasteurization but do
you think that some of these hormones
that in Dairy are affecting human health
absolutely now and also let's be very
clear about this when you say hormones
in Dairy a lot of people think that you
mean added hormones and even the
hormones that are added to the dairy
cattle uh the the most common one is
Bine growth hormone it's it's a
naturally occurring hormone they just
give the the dairy cows higher doses of
it right and so milk is full of hormones
even human milk uh you you hear there's
a subset of people that are like oh
colostrum is great uh you know if you
can find breast milk that's great that's
also for babies it is full of
hormones that that are in there for a
specific reason and the reason is is to
make you grow and gain weight and so if
somebody's an elite level bodybuilder
there might they might want to bulk up
and then cut down there might be a place
for dairy in your diet because the
hormones are definitely going to make
you bulk up that's what they're there
for uh but for people who are trying to
get as as lean as is healthy and that
that's not too lean that's there's a c
there's a definition of what what body
fat percentage is in a healthy adult
male and female dair's not going to help
you get that most of the time if you're
enjoying this interview and you want to
see more Carnival related content like
this consider subscribing down below the
more subscribers we get the more big
interviews with special guests such as
kimberry that we can do so for a lot of
people they can see the logic not eating
vegetables you know when you explain to
them how essentially plants at least to
some degree are trying to kill them and
you kind of talk it through talk talk
them through it in a more logical way
you say you know what difference is
spinach to a random plant in your garden
you know why would humans over time have
eaten this one plant that doesn't taste
very good doesn't contain the energy and
we only started agriculture 12,000 years
ago there was no vegetables in the human
diet most people can logically see that
but they under the impression that we
were eating lots of fruit so what's your
argument against
fruit fruit is very high in sugar
content and I think I think fruit did
serve a useful purpose thousands of
years ago uh human beings life was hard
then okay let's just say 50,000 years
ago no one had a refrigerator no one had
a deep freezer no one had a pantry you
either killed it brought it home and ate
it or you starve to death and so
especially during the winter and
temporate climates the winter you were
in you had a high risk of just starving
to death or becoming so malnourished
that you develop some disease which
would then kill you and so during the
late Summer and the fall it actually was
advantageous to cram all the fruit in
your mouth because that fructose was
going to cause you to store fat in your
liver and store subcutaneous fat and
even store visceral fat because back
then those things were actually
protective so then if there was a very
harsh winter you had you had reserves
you had tens of thousands or hundreds of
thousands of calories that stored energy
that you could get by Limp by and and
make it until spring a lot of people who
don't live close to Nature they don't
understand they think as soon as spring
gets here oh man there's there's fruit
and vegetables and everything everywhere
no that's not how it is if anybody has
tried to grow their own food it's it's
late summer before any food is that's
edible to Human hum is is ready so the
the spring early spring is just as
dangerous as the dead of winter you may
not freeze to death but there's also
still nothing for a human being to eat
that's why we cram the fruit and the
berries and the nuts in our mouth
because we were trying to put on 10 or
20 pounds of fat that was Insurance to
get you through the winter uh but when
now that we have refrigerators and deep
freezers you don't need that you don't
need that insurance because you're going
to have just as much food to eat in the
dead of winter as you have during the
Harvest Time uh this is hard for some
people to understand but a lot of people
try to mimic the seasonality of eating
they're like well I'm going to eat a lot
of fruit and vegetables a lot of lot of
you know fruit and and berries during
the harvest season because that's what
our ancestors did not realizing what was
the strategy why were they doing that it
they taste great sure but they were
trying to gain fat that's literally what
they were trying to do is put as much
fat on as possible we see this uh
Behavior echoed in in
Bears when the berries are ripe they'll
eat pounds of berries and they'll gain
10 20 30 40 50 pounds for the winter
they're not eating those berries because
they contain some magical
phytonutrient they're not eating all the
metalin and the fruits because they
contain some magical nutrition that's
going to improve their health they're
trying to get fat so they don't starve
to death over the winter and I I would
opine that humans mimic that behavior
and that's what got them through many of
a hard winter uh but there's no there's
no benefit to to eating lots of fruits
and berries in your diet there's no
long-term benefit of that
