having a fabulous day today I'm just

getting myself and Jace ready for the

day because we've got some visitors

coming round to meet him and have a

catch up with me which I'm really

excited about and then a little bit

later on ice a little bit later on any

time between 4 and 10 p.m. we have the

Midwife come in to weigh him and I'm

really really hoping his gaining weight

and thriving I think any breastfeeding

mom will agree that there's nothing more

satisfying than when a midwife comes and

weighs him and your baby's gaining

weight and you know that's because

you're feeding him and it's all going

well after the struggles of

breastfeeding over the last few days

I really hope in that and that is gained

way and it gives me a little bit of a

boost because you definitely worry way

too much I worry way too much about how

much is getting and how much goodness is

getting etc etc anyway he's fast asleep

right now and is just such hair so I'm

going to grab myself really quickly

something to eat before everyone gets

here I'm not having the best that's the

day today guys I've literally just spent

the first couple of hours after the

school run reorganizing and sorting out

our garage because that is the place for

everything that we don't want to see get

as a dumped literally that is just like

let's put it in the garage and we'll

forget about it for six months and then

all of a sudden there's like before we

go out of stuff and that's like a full

full double garage of stuff that needs

sorting through itself literally just

spent all morning this morning going

through loads of stuff and sorting out

the garage I got extremely murky just

come inside

I've just had a shower just got out of

the shower and got ready for the day and

my I don't know what is going on guys

but my razors literally eating me alive

the state of my face and neck so you

anyway so a little while ago you guys

might remember me going into lead on a

little secret mission before Jase was

born to get Sarah a little something

something to give her when she gave

birth now I actually found the perfect

gift the perfect gift best in the whole

kind of heat of the moment

and the excitement of the birth and the

labor and everything I completely forgot

to give her it I literally put the gift

in my camera bag ready so that I

definitely wouldn't forget it as we're

rushing out the house in the middle of

the night or whatever we were doing or

wouldn't forget the present it was there

and then when were at the hospital I

even saw it in my bag but I just didn't

like I'd even saw it in my back when I

was getting my cameras out and setting

up in the room I saw the gift there so I

knew it was there but then when Jace was

out and it was all just super happy and

lovely completely forgot to give her it

and we came home and I just forgot about

it I even forgot about it until last

night when I was going through my camera

bag to get on my camera started out and

it was in the bottom of my camera bag

and I was like oh my goodness I didn't

even give her her special present so

when she gets out of the shower in a

minute I'm gonna sit down and surprise

her okay baby

so I made a massive boo-boo like a week

ago yesterday a week ago yesterday I

made a boo-boo right because in the run

up to little wrong low being here a

little roller being here I went and did

something which was supposed to be a

surprise when you'd given birth but I

was too excited I got lost in the moment

I totally forgot about it and it never

happened and I just found it in my bag

like last night

I didn't remember about it no it is good

no it is good it is good he's good but

you were supposed to get it when this

little roller came out a week ago but I

totally forgot and I feel really good

about that because it would have been

really special but I mean it was special

anyway but you know I mean it would have

been really special so anyway surprise

thought it was so nice because I didn't

give you it a boy and I chose all the

bits specifically like the little

Stoppers I chose it all myself and then

I ended up not giving you it one idiot

like I spent loads of time researching

and stuff and going and getting and blah

blah and you know I love it so much

because of the end and the rose gold on

it as well that's so pretty

cinemas ok might be difficult with a

camera you know okay I'm gonna put you

down guys for two seconds that is really

really pretty I love it I'm just gonna

keep it exactly like this yeah special

occasion Valentine's Day trouble this

one I'm not anything else

no I very welcome disgusted I didn't

give it you it like a week ago and I

gotta leave you've got a present like

this I forgot my friends have just been

guys two of our bestest friends and they

literally all my friends know me so well

if you watched yesterday's video you'll

see that Nicki came we should brought me

two bottles of Palmer viola

cider yes like you know when you bring a

baby gift my friends have just been two

of my best friends I've got rhubarb and

custard cider my friend I know for

someone who doesn't drink like ever

present the best thing is look how

beautiful you know when you get baby

bags you always see such pretty ones for

girls like unicorns and all sorts of

really nice ones and then the boy ones

are usually

really like just blue and not really

special look how gorgeous this bug is

it frame it it's so nice just on the

side okay really and an outfit and a toy

for Jace obviously

oh no Rolo you lasted just enough time

man oh I think he wants to go back on

the feed Oh No

so my two friends just left and so did

the Midwife and it's left me in not a

great mood so the Midwife came around

today to weigh Jace and make sure he was

gaining weight and that his jaundice

were on the way out etc etc and so so so

gutted because he's lost weight again

and he's gone down to seven pound five I

think she said so he was born at eight

pound one just for anybody that doesn't

know went down to seven pounds seven and

then went up to seven pound ten I think

that was on Monday I think that was on

Monday when the Midwife came out and now

today which is Thursday he's gone back

down to seven point five which I can't

even tell you how disheartening it is

when you're breastfeeding and you feel

like you're literally killing yourself

breastfeeding as well because it's so

unbelievably painful but you're pushing

through because you want to do it and

then they tell you that he's not gaining

weight and I'm actually terrified

they're coming back tomorrow to weigh

him again and they said hopefully he's

put on a bit of weight then but I'm

really worried that in case he hasn't

they're going to tell me to start

topping up with formula because I really

really don't want to do that

and I know fed is best and if breast

feeding doesn't work you don't want your

baby to suffer and of course I don't

want him to suffer but he's just so

content and I can't see how he's

starving like he's sleeping so so well

this is him right now he has just had a

feed but he's he goes like three hours

with an without enough so then that for

three hours two to three hours during

the day and in the nighttime he's going

for hours last night

was such a good night he went to sleep

1/2 11:00 he woke up at 4 and then 8

which is amazing and we're not waking

him up during the night I know that the

health visitor said to wake him every

three hours for a feed through the night

just we've not been waking him up but I

might have to start waking him up

through the night if he's not gaining

weight because obviously my priority is

for him to be gaining weight

yeah I'm just feeling really bummed

today really just disheartened at the

fact that I thought he would have gained

and he hasn't he's lost and it's just

really not a nice feeling I'm really

really really worried that it's because

I'm using the brush shields and maybe

they're not as effective or they're not

letting him feed as effectively I am

which makes me feel so guilty for using

them but the pain is just unbearable

without them so it's kind of a no-win

situation the only thing I'm thinking

that I just thought about right now and

it didn't think about and while she was

here was the previous two ways that his

hat has been on our marble table and the

scales had been on the marble table and

when she went in today it was on our

carpet and we've got really really

really thick carpets so I'm just

wondering if maybe that's had an effect

on the scales but I don't know so Little

Miss eyelid just got home from school

and you're about to leave us again right

why cuz I've got a ballet practice exam

you have so Iowa's got a ballet exam

coming up and she's got a few practice

lessons to make sure she's definitely up

to scratch and ready that's a lot of

worried right now after the Midwife

visit today that her milks not producing

enough protein or calories for the

babies so one thing she's got to eat

which is really really good at promoting

good breast milk production is oats the

flapjack is full of that so I'm on a

mission to find a super flapjack and now

I'm also under strict instructions

tonight not to come back to the house

without some bobbins and some custard

creams which is about animes favorite

right now tonight we're going for

something nice and easy we're going for

chicken Kiev's which everybody loves

everybody loves especially the girls

along with some mash and some pyro

guests as well because I'm garlic

together is supposed to help breast milk

production massively so that's all good

right although I didn't find any

flapjack in there so I'm probably enough

to go to another shop but right now I

need to go pick up Esme from school

because she's stayed late at school

today she's had a school disco which is

really cool she was really excited about

that this morning getting to party with

her friends and they get some money to

go to the top shop and buy her sweets

and a drink and things like that
