Transcripts
so I was finally able to get the newest
perfect grade release the Unleashed Arc
782 Gundam but it's actually a
knockoff it's the um toban knockoff I
don't remember if I've done any toban
models yet I might have done a couple
videos of them they essentially went
from just doing straight knockoffs I
think and then they started doing kind
of like their own thing they started
doing these like ones with more like
existing models with more detail so and
some of them are actually better than
the original only a few select but there
are ones that are better I I think uh
but they still do knockoffs um I did
their I got their deban exia Avalanche
when it came out which is a really good
price this is just a straight knockoff
of the rx782 unleash at a fraction of
the price I think in American it
was
140 I think that was before like $20
shipping that's pretty good like I think
that's about half the price and this is
a this this is I figured we'll start
with the anner frame cuz they have
layers this thing's got it's like a a
Gundam onion so this is like the basic
entner frame configuration like you got
another layer on top but I love they
really did a good job there's a few uh
problems the Torso
connection um right here these two
different color pieces it can come apart
a little easily that'll probably be fix
once it's all
completed only if you're like flopping
it around and messing with it it's not
going to like just fall off
because um and there was another thing
oh yeah um the hands you see the hands
and you have they tell you you have a
lot of hands but they tell you at this
point to build the Open Hands and the
closed
hands and my only problem is that the
thumb here the armor it doesn't want to
go all the way it's like there's a gap
you can see the Chrome underneath that's
really so far my only problems with the
kit the uh the plastic everything's
great everything's really good it's hard
to to remember this is not
Bandai and in terms of its articulation
you've got a lot of good stuff it's like
right now I'm kind of worried to do it
too much but there's a lot of like a lot
of the joints are really stiff really
stiff but it's got everything it's got
the Chrome pieces which are beautiful
they haven't had a problem with the uh
they haven't had a problem with doing
Chrome in quite a while now they just
getting better and it does have the core
block instead of the core fighter right
now cuz you're not supposed to build it
until later but um even with that having
to have a combination G you still got
some decent chest uh pose ability so I
was surprised
there and skirt wise you can get
everything out of the
way so you get those legs moving very
tight going out which is what you want
nothing's worse than having a gun I'm
doing the split oh that's another thing
I forgot to mention there's three things
technically so far that are a little bit
of a problem to
me I love this it's uh silver and gold
you like sandwich it together
it's really cool how they did that I was
at first I was like how you what but I
figured it out and there's H even photo
Edge Parts which are included and they
look really good and I've got them in
here cuz so far I think these are the
only Parts you
need oh you might not notice when you
bend that knee those Pistons really work
over
time and nice and tight and the ankle
now the thing that fell off is the ankle
armor um it's just the two halves don't
stay together but I'm I'm pretty sure
once the white armor goes on top it it
should be a problem it shouldn't be a
problem that should negate it as of
right now this thing is a amazing as it
should be for what the original prices I
think if I wanted to get a Canadian it
be almost $500 um but I think it was
like $250 something like that but yeah
so far so
great and you got a lot more bling this
time um also this I'm going to call it
champagne this uh kind of faded gold
color that goes with it these two uh
colors go onto every single part of the
uh of the perfect grade even on the back
and you also use all the uh photo
etching parts now and you might notice
there should be one on this side here of
the back skirt I don't know what
happened to it word of warning if you I
don't know what the official one's like
but if you get this one just glue those
on if you're going to use the photo Edge
Parts because they they they have an
adhesive side but they don't hold that
well a couple
did but I realized quickly that they
don't so hopefully I find that one it's
not a big deal it's going to be covered
up and it's going to be in the back so
I'm not going to lose sleeve over
it but yeah even on the toes you got
some extra champagne color it doesn't
stop any of the articulation points you
got more panels which I'm going to wait
until uh the armor on because it might
pop it off but there are hinges and
stuff and the head uh gets a little bit
more definition on the side of the of
the uh
helmet got a little more uh Chrome may
end on the top to fill in the
Mohawk so yeah it's starting to look
good but next is going to be the final
touch which is of course the
armor well I'm I'm kind of Blown Away by
how good this is I wasn't expecting it
to be as Flawless as it is for a
knockoff but let me tell you um de ban
they did it they copied it perfectly I'm
not seeing really any there are a few
problems which could be from the base
kit I have no idea
but yeah it's uh it's great this armor
is amazing um you've got uh panels here
these are metal pieces I forgot to
mention before the metal thrusters too
these will actually come in handy in a
second but yeah it's um it looks great
let's take a good look at that head love
the
design love everything about it got the
cockpit the I have the core Block in it
still uh let's take a look at the actual
core fighter because definitely one of
the it is probably the best got a little
clear pie you can put on action base but
the fact that you can actually collapse
the landing gear you don't have to
remove them which is the way it is with
basically every r78 ever um I do have a
little bit of problem Oh I want to
mention it's got the little uh flip of
missile
pods which the mades do it too but it's
the uh folding like it'll oh yeah and
and that happens could probably glue
that but it only happens when I pull it
up apart but the folding in cuz this
should go flush but I can't get it to go
flush and if I force it I'm sure
something's going to
snap there's something I it could have
been how I put it together maybe I fudge
something it'll still go in the cockpit
into the
Torso but I'm not really worried cuz I'm
going to use it by itself cuz it doesn't
it has the core block what do you need
the core fighter in there when you have
the core block youve still basically got
all the poseability from before
nothing's really hindered uh the
shoulder armor I love the shoulder armor
how you can actually pull it really far
up and get it out of the way it's uh
it's amazing what they've done my one
big complaint with how they made this
the official one um no articulate hands
cuz I've got one open I got one closed
you've got the uh you got ones for a
trigger finger yeah a pair I should say
and even a pair for beam saber holding
hands but why wouldn't they just omit
the closed Fist and the open hand and
give us the posable hands cuz that is
kind of like a prerequisite I feel for a
perfect grade considering how expensive
the original one is I'm kind of kind of
upset about that
cuz um I feel that they could have
easily included that and then you could
still have the closed Fist and the uh
for like holding beam Sabers and beam
rifles cuz that would be very solid if
you uh if you did that that also the the
Torso going together when it connects uh
with the core fighter or the core block
a little a little loose it comes off a
little easily especially if you have it
like this but how many times you're
going to have it laying
flat yeah everything is still hold holds
really well um I was worried about the
looses and the thighs initially but once
all the armor is on it's not much of a
problem yeah everything is
great uh and all the panels that you
might have seen with the officials still
work uh every single panel opens up and
I think I've got all the panels open
here I might have missed a couple
there's so many but it works so well cuz
every single one has a little teeny baby
tab that you can get your fingernail or
some kind of implement and uh flip it
open and it just looks like added
gribling there's no like oh that's a
giant tab that you know is going to be
used to open a panel it looks like it
could be there
anyways I think the loosest panel is
this one on the foot
everything else holds open pretty pretty
well oh yeah there's these ones back
here on the uh on the
thighs and these ones open up the same
as the front ones I just didn't open
them up cuz they they had like laying it
down it's kind of
annoying uh you've also got LEDs in the
kit not sure how well it's showing off
but the eyes and like the vents can
light up and they alternates between
green blue red and
yellow so that's cool it and then it
flashes a little bit and then it turns
off but you've also got
the beam
Sabers you got two here you got three
all together and of course it pegs into
the uh holding hand but one of them has
the LED it's one that hasn't got the
different color end and so all you do is
you have this little tab which is what
pegs into the hand which is pretty cool
but you push forward and this one you
have to push a little hard and then it
does light up that's actually a lot
brighter than you can see in the head I
think unfortunately it doesn't light up
the beam that well it's like right at
the base and it doesn't really go any
farther maybe the official ones are
brighter stronger it came with the
batteries which is pretty cool and it's
nice to have but I'm never going to use
it but it is cool a little feature and
they could have omitted that for the
price um half the price of the official
I think they could have left it up but
they didn't so I appreciate them doing
that the one thing I don't like and
apparently the official one has the same
problem these chest fents are garbage I
glued every single one in and I yeah I
think they look okay uh but they're gar
they suck they they don't want to hold
in I think the or I've ever seen I
thought the mastergrade 2.0 were back
but though these are awful and so I just
glued them I wouldn't even bother so I
guess it's time to check out the
Weaponry got a shield nice Shield U I'll
bring in the official a little different
the official um the original sorry
little little different shape a little
more detail it's not super
different you got the blast Shield here
that's neat you got the arm connector
which has the good old
track which is really stiff but it does
move I've I've done it it's uh there we
go really stiff the handle you don't
need the handle because it has a piece
of metal in here or sorry a magnet in
here because you have a metal piece in
the arm those panels that slide down
reveal the middle
piece and I think that's the way it is I
mean I don't think the reverse I'm
pretty sure that's the magnet I don't
know who cares really all I all knows it
works you get in the
hole and it's on there it's it's way
secure more secure than the Torso but
yeah I wasn't expecting it to be as
secure on you have it on but yeah it's
great it's it's it's heavy too so it's
weighing down the arm but it's it
doesn't come off that is amazing love it
magnets we know how they work now you've
also got a little panel you can flip
around revealing another hole and you
just have to push the arm connector so
you have the pig sticking up and that'll
go on the
back and we'll look at the other weapon
it has which is the beam rifle loving
the
gold it's nice little little bit of
better uh detail you can rotate this and
then rotate the scope I don't really
like it cuz I'm worried if I don't
rotate it first it's going to snap
because the fraction it'll snap that Peg
off cuz it kind of like collides maybe I
I did it wrong I don't know but you've
got a little bit of added paneling that
can open up that's nice all the Chrome
is good looking got that handle that
could never actually hold cuz it's way
too why do they make it so big what's
the point and you can actually store it
on the kit because you got two points
you got this little little drum that can
rotate his bum it's a bum
drum and I don't really like the fact
that this is Chrome cuz that's just
going to scratch a
lot but yeah it'll store in there and
then you can also store it onto the
shield which is oh I for the longest
time I never knew the RX 72 did this
until I got I think it was the 2.0
Master rid but you can do it on there on
either
side and of course it'll fit in the hand
because turer hand has the uh Peg so it
can be in either hand because it's got a
left hand hole and a right hand hole it
doesn't
matter and then I guess you can move the
trigger to make it look like he's uh
firing it attention to
detail so yeah nice and solid no
problems with that well I think we'll
finish this with comparing it to the
original which I think is
1998 so we're looking at um almost 25
years
difference and they're about the same
height from uh head to toe I think the
old one might be a smidge taller by like
maybe a quarter of an inch but like this
looks like a toy this looks like a model
like the way you look this this is very
simple very original high grade original
Master Grade they all had this design
this is like just
up to 11 and I love it and while it is
it does make me feel kind of weird buy a
knockoff like that's just a completely
uh one to one knockoff nothing's
different my wallet's okay with it
