Transcripts
costume Tanya DSP yes another DSP I am
entering the ring to go against the moon
drop Overlord how does this compare to
the rest and how does it do in the
market in general let's find out hey
Friends team welcome back to Channelview
on kids audio today we have the Tanya
DSP review and you guys might know Tan's
gym from their famous iems like the
oxygen if you've been around way back
then or a newer one the Hana 2021 a
couple years ago which is good but
nowadays not competitive in the the
cheapy golden age that we're in so Tan's
gym has been in the back seat for quite
some time now hopefully coming into the
front seat once again or in the front
Circle if you will with the Tanya tsp
now this thing is bass Bassy Bassy but
well controlled because it is tuned
similar to the other DSP items being
that they do follow kind of a Harman
curve mid-range and vocals and other
instruments still retain their
naturalness while at the same time
allowing the dspims to have a good clean
base shell now the Tanya DSP takes that
clean base shelf and slapped on a good
three 5 DB extra bass on top of that so
yes the bass still sounds clean well
separated from the vocals for the most
part but at the same time it's just a
lot of bass so vocals mid-range
instruments and especially treble
instruments although they sound very
natural and nice are very in the
background in the face of just a tsunami
amount of bass if you are a bass lover
this IEM is just made for you the base
is Stumpy it slams really hard the power
behind it is so satisfying and it's just
a joy to listen to now when it comes to
Bass quality is it really Dynamic based
good incisive hits no not really it has
some bluntness to it but 23 bucks I
don't really care about that the sheer
level of fun that it has while at the
same time not damaging the other parts
of the song is fantastic needless to say
though you do need to Love bass to enjoy
the Tanya DSP because again everything
else is in the background and the bass
is the main star the mid-range here is
natural for the most part everything
sounds the way they should with a little
bit of warmth or some bass thickness to
back it all up so it's not the most open
and clean clinical signature or clinical
mid-range out there but Timbre wise
everything decays normally I don't
detect any Oddities in the Timbre if you
will trouble wise I would say it is
there it's smooth but it's hidden and
that's kind of my gripe with it is that
the bass is so much that it hides the
otherwise with have been great trouble
quality you're not going to get a lot of
micro details from this and you're not
going to get a lot of Sparkle from it as
well but the trade-off is is that it
sounds smooth it's not going to be
scratchy or piercing in any way at all
technical performance Timeless bring up
my scale right here and I will say the
Tanya DSP lands right around the around
the one ER territory yeah it's just okay
being that it is DSP as well I should
mention the cons that I mentioned in the
past being that DSP iems usually has
this kind of soft and bluntedness to
their transience and I feel like the
Tanya has that as well it's not as big
of a problem on the Tanya as it is on
the droplet or the quarks DSP but it's
still there it's still not quite as
incisive as non-dsp iems comparison
times compared to Tanya DSP to the rest
of the DSP iems first off the quirks DSP
now quirks DSP is quite a bit less Bassy
than the Tanya giving it a more balanced
kind of signature and even though the
air region on the DSP on the graph looks
less the perception of it is more
because the bass is so far less that you
can hear a lot more trouble than on the
Tanya DSP now the treble air on both of
them even though I said the quirks you
can perceive more of it both are not
sparkly type of I am so if you're a
detailed heavy listener both of them are
not going to be for you next is the
droplet now the droplet is also a
relaxing style of IEM though not as
Bassy as on the Tanya the relaxing
factor of the droplet comes from the
fact that it doesn't have a lot of
trouble so a lot of the signature that
you're gonna hear is going to be more
towards the Bassy and lower mid-range
frequency so a little bit different
there in the way they portray the
relaxing nature if you want something
that's relaxing and has a lot of bass
then go for the Tanya if you want to
something that's just relaxing and
slightly lean more towards the warm
Department than you go for the droplet
detail wise I would give the edge to the
Tanya DSP because the droplet really
doesn't have enough trouble to give you
that sense of details and for the price
of half of the droplet I would say Tanya
DSP is the better deal and last but not
least comparison to Moon drop Joe is
what I've been told it's supposed to be
pronounced not Jew but Joe this IEM is
really really good the most detailed out
of all the DSP IMS the widest stage out
of all the DSP IMs as well the signature
of it is very open again similar harm
and shape it doesn't have a lot of bass
it leans a lot more in the brighter
frequencies especially in the lower
treble the upper mid range so everything
is going to come across very energetic
and maybe too energetic for a lot of
people out there as well bass is really
not the strong point here here so if
you're a base lover the Tanya DSP is
still the way to go but if you want the
most detailed possible out of your dspim
the Joe is the way to go alright that's
it for review of the Tanya DSP thank you
so much for watching all the way till
the end if you've tried a Tanya DSP
before let me know down in the comment
section below what you think of it and
of course for the final verdict for
Tanya DSP I'll give it a halfway thumbs
up yeah why not it's a great sounding
IEM for its purpose if you like a lot of
bass a lot of fun bass and you don't
really care too much about you know the
trouble qualities and all that then the
Tanya DSP is really fun and at the same
time again not ruining the naturalness
of the mid-range which is something that
I highly highly love and yes with that
being said I'd like to thank my patreon
