The speaker suggests investing time in planning the text to ensure it has this 'red thread' and mentions a video tutorial on how to build and structure the main body of a text in German for university students. The paragraph also provides an example task related to the role of new media in university teaching and encourages students to consider their stance before starting to write.
📝 Organizing Arguments with Pro and Contra
This paragraph discusses the strategy of organizing arguments in a structured manner using a table format to list pros and cons. The speaker shares a personal preference for tables due to their clarity and effectiveness. The paragraph includes an example table with arguments for and against the use of new media in university education. The speaker then advises on reducing the number of arguments to focus on the strongest ones, suggesting selecting two to three arguments for each side. The importance of hierarchically ordering arguments based on their strength is also highlighted, with a demonstration of how to mark the strongest points.
🔍 Structuring the Main Body of an Argumentative Text
The paragraph delves into the finer points of structuring the main body of an argumentative text. It advises against alternating between pro and contra arguments, recommending instead to group all pro arguments together and all contra arguments together. The speaker suggests starting with the strongest argument against one's position and ending with the strongest argument supporting it, to maintain a clear and logical flow. The paragraph also covers the finer structure of arguments, emphasizing the importance of ending with the best argument for one's position and starting with the strongest counter-argument to establish a clear stance from the beginning.
📋 Applying Structure to a Specific Topic

Highlights
Students often believe that in academic writing, only grammar and structure are important, but this is not the case.
Having a 'red thread' in your text, meaning a logical and structured flow, is crucial for academic writing.
The 'red thread' ensures that readers can follow your thoughts and understand your argumentation.
Invest at least five to seven minutes of the 70 minutes available for planning your text.
Many students skip planning, leading to chaotic and disorganized texts.
An example task is given to demonstrate how to structure a text on the role of new media in university teaching.
Two quotes are provided to give initial ideas about the topic, one pro and one contra.
Before starting to write, it's essential to clarify your position on the topic.
Ideas can be collected in a list, mind map, or table with pro and contra arguments.
Reduce the number of ideas to two to three pro and two to three contra arguments to stay focused and within time limits.
Prioritize your arguments by their strength, identifying the best and weakest points for your position.
Structure your main text in two blocks: one for pro arguments and one for contra arguments.
Begin and end your main text with the arguments that best support your position.

strukturieren solltest damit beim text
diesen roten faden hat das alles
erfährst du in diesem video
[Musik]
herzlich willkommen zu einer neuen folge
von jackies prüfungs training dein kanal
für deutsche studium und den beruf und
heute schauen uns mal an einer kleinen
beispiel aufgabe an wie du den hauptteil
seines textes imtech deutschland als
hochschule also im schriftlichen
dafür bekommst du punkte es geht also
nicht nur um schöne grammatisch korrekte
sätze sondern es geht auch um den
logischen aufbau und die strukturierung
deine argumente
du solltest also mindestens fünf bis
könnte dann ungefähr so aussehen in
einem die jungs wissen schaftlichen
seminar sollen sie sich mit der rolle
der neuen medien in der hochschullehre
auseinandersetzen gehen sie auf die
unten genannten aussagen ein
berücksichtigen sie auch ihre eigenen
erfahrungen und ziehen sie am schluss
ein begründetes fazit die folgenden
zitate geben ihnen erste idee zitat 1
weniger kapazitäten in klammern
professoren und räume das spart dann
geld und ich habe mir auch noch
aufgeschrieben mehr leute können
studieren meine contra argumente sind
keine hilfe schrägstrich betreuung durch
die professoren ja dann habe ich mir
noch aufgeschrieben kein soziales umfeld
in klammern kommilitonen man studiert
habe wirklich dann schon wieder verloren
du solltest dir überlegen was das beste
argument gegen deine position dann
jetzt diesen text schreiben sollte dann
gegen
die neuen medien double mit dem
schlechtesten argument gegen sozusagen
struktur einmal genau anschaut dann
ganze wirklich also den hauptteil
wirklich immer so strukturieren wie ich
es dir gerade gezeigt habe das ist
wirklich die sicherste methode
unterstützer dieses kanals könnte ich
das ganze auch auf meiner webseite noch
mal als zusammenfassung in einem
