things that I've ever done in my life I

started to share my story with friends

and some of them thought it was pretty

cool too and they encouraged me to share

my story online so that's when I started

my second side hustle this YouTube

channel unlike my first side hustle

where I had at least some experience in

graphic design I didn't know the first

thing about making videos but I didn't

let it stop me I took some courses and

watched some tutorials online and I

started making videos of my own the

early ones were rough but I kept posting

anyways and over time more and more more

people started to tune in fast

forwarding to today I somehow managed to

get 100,000 people to hit that subscribe

button and this side hustle is now

bringing in a pretty significant amount

of money on its own needless to say I

really like side hustles and I'm pretty

much recommending them to everyone I

know these days in this video I'm going

to be sharing a list of side hustles

that I think would be good to start

today and I'm going to be giving each

one of them a rating based on Startup

popular there's a growing demand for art

if you're looking at this specific shop

which as of today has

34,848 sales and they only started their

shop last year in 2023 they sell their

art for $4 which brings their estimated

Twitter named ELO he creates highly

functional minimalistic templates for

people looking to track a variety of

things like schoolwork Finance health

and even travel and one of the things

that I love about him is how open he is

and how willing he is to share how much

he makes last I checked he was making

over $10,000 a month selling these

templates and he recently crossed over

$500,000 in sales which is pretty insane

naturally being an Etsy guy I made a

search on Etsy to see if there's any

other shops doing the same thing and I

found quite a few the spefic specific

one that I found here sells both notion

and good notes templates they've been on

Etsy since 2019 and have

with typical influencer marketing or

passiveness again this isn't really a

passive business you're going to need to

create videos to get clients and once

you do get clients you're going to have

to keep producing these videos for them

so for passiveness it's a one out of

five I don't know if I'm the only one

but on Tik Tok and Instagram my feed is

filled with people doing Retail

Arbitrage they'll go around targets and

Walmarts with their barcode scanning app

and they'll try to find products with a

large price difference with Amazon when

they find one they'll clear out the

shelves and they'll list them on Amazon

for a profit whenever I look more into

this and I do more research I'm always

finding that the profit margin is just

not big enough to make it worth the time

especially if you're taking into account

the shipping costs and processing fees

however if you're looking into used

Goods instead of new I do feel like for

some products the profit margin is wide

enough to make it worth it this is

something that I did used to dabble in a

little bit when I was younger I would go

around to different garage sales in the

summer sum time and pick up video games

and toys for really cheap like $1 to $5

and then I would take those and list

them on eBay and sell them for $40 to

$50 plus shipping which is a pretty good

margin doing some research now it

definitely looks like it's become a

little bit harder for retro and

collectible stuff especially since Co it

just seems that more and more people are

aware of the value of this stuff now but

I do think it's still possible for

things in certain categories I've seen

some people doing this document their

journey and they're making over six

figures a year doing this and while this

definitely isn't a side hustle for

everybody I do feel like it's good for

people who enjoy shopping and looking

around for deals for startup cost you

don't need much to start with this one

there's always going to be people

looking to declutter their homes and

they'll be willing to sell things for

much much less than their market value

even if you have $0 to your name you

could always look on your local ads and

find things for free like couches or

furniture that can flip for a pretty

good margin as well for that reason I'm

going to give startup cost a 1 out of

five for skills you're going to be

needing some basic bargaining skills as

well as slowly learning what kind of

products do well this is probably going

to be easier for some of you than others

but I'm going to give skills required a

2 out of five for passiveness this isn't

a passive side hustle at all you're

going to need to put in the work to

Source the items and also to sell the

items but the reason I wanted to add it

to this list is that I know there's a

type of person out there that loves

shopping and searching around for deals

this is the perfect side hustle for

those types of people but it's not very

passive so for passiveness I'm giving it

a one out of

five whether you want to tutor people

oneon-one with a platform like WIS an or

you want to create an online course for

people to watch on a website like

skillshare there's a ton of options out

there for people who want to teach

online one thing that I do want to

mention is that a lot of people think

that they need to be an expert to be

able to teach something to somebody in

my experience it's actually been better

to learn something from somebody who's

just one or two steps ahead of you

versus an expert who is so Advanced that

you might have trouble understanding

them so even if you're just starting out

and you just have like a few months or a

year under your belt in a certain

subject don't think that you can't

provide value for those that are

completely new for startup cost you're

probably going to need your own laptop

or computer to teach online you might

also need a webcam but these days those

are pretty cheap to get so for startup

cost I'm going to give it a two out of

five for skills you're obviously going

to need a skill that you can teach

others but you're also going to need the

skill of teaching which is another skill

in in itself so for this one I'm going

to give it a four out of five for

passiveness this is either going to be a

one out of five or a five out of five if

you're tutoring and you're doing this

live one-on-one with a student then it's

not very passive at all it's going to be

a one out of five but if you're making

online courses that you make one time

and unlimited amount of students can

watch that and pay you for it then

that's very passive that's a 5 out of

five so it depends on what you're doing

but I'm going to average it out and give

it a three out of five

the next side hustle is YouTube

obviously this is something that I'm

pretty familiar with now and if I'm

being honest I still think it's one of

the best side hustles that you can start

today you can make videos about any

topic you want in any style that you

want and at any Pace that you want and

if you're patient and disciplined enough

to keep going even when nobody's

watching you it can eventually lead to

some really good income one of the best

things about YouTube is that

monetization is built in if you get

enough views on your content

YouTube will pay you directly with other

platforms like Tik Tok or Instagram even

if you manage to build a large audience

or following you're going to have to

leverage that audience into some type of

business like you're going to need to

sell merch or products or services to

them somehow and it's never too late to

start a YouTube channel I'm always

seeing these comments saying that

YouTube is too saturated now and it's

impossible to grow on it anymore but I

really don't think that's the case I see

new channels popping up all the time

with great videos and given how old

YouTube is I still feel like it's a

growing platform like the Chinese

proverb says the best time to start a

YouTube channel was 20 years ago the

second best time is now so don't think

it's too late startup cost for a YouTube

channel you're going to need a camera

and some kind of computer or device to

edit on people always say you need a

fancy camera but there's plenty of

examples out there of people that are

just using their phones so I don't

really think that that's true so if you

already own a modern smartphone with a

decent camera you really just need a

computer and the software to on so I'm

going to give startup cost a three out

of five for skills required this is a

little bit of a tough one because I feel

like YouTube is actually harder than

what most people think to be a

successful YouTuber you're going to need

to wear a bunch of different hats you're

going to need to be a good writer to

come up with ideas that people want to

watch you're going to need to become a

decent videographer to film whatever it

is your channel is about you're going to

need to work on camera confidence

because it's very unnatural talking to a

camera and most people are just not good

at it unless they've had practice and

after that you're going to need to

become a video editor to piece

everything together into a coherent

video there is a lot of skills that you

need to develop but if I'm being honest

that's what makes it rewarding at least

for me but because you need to know a

whole bunch of different things in

different fields I'm going to be giving

skills required a five out of five

passiveness for a YouTube channel is

pretty good once you've done all that

work to create a video and you upload it

onto YouTube it continues to earn income

forever I'm still earning money every

day on videos that I've made over 2

years ago which is pretty amazing if you

ask me and for that reason I'm going to

give passiveness a five out of five if
