to this video right what are we talking

about today well we've got some big news

in fact we've got two bits of big news

one of them first of all is about a car

that's made a re appearance in fact

there's two cars actually that we

featured on the channel before which

on now to the diagnostic machines cuz

they've got two two on offer and it's

the two we've seen on the channel before

and they're really really I mean we use

these as well so we'll start with the

base one so this is the art diag 600s so

this is a top down art dag 600s

diagnostic machine now this has got

eight service functions it will do all

the standard stuff you expect a

diagnostic machine to do so it'll do

your general OBD scanning so engine

management lights plugging it in getting

your codes generic codes no problem at

all it's also got specific manufacturers

built into it all the major brands

you're going to be wanted this see in

are on this machine it's got free

updates which we'll come back to in a

moment just simply plug it in and Away

you go start scanning it's also got an

automatic search function as well so you

can just go off the chassis and it'll

find you the making model but it's also

got special functionality as well eight

different special settings so for

instance you've got like I said the the

specific manufacturers codes Etc and

special functions and live data you can

get up specific to the car but you've

also got things like it will work on

dpfs so doing regenerations you've got a

block DPF stuff like that maybe you want

the d data see how much so capacity is

in the DPF all that sort of data this

will do that no problem it will do

service reset so for instance you got a

lot of cars now where you can't reset

the service lights without plugging them

in you need one of these machines to do

it this will do that it's got loads of

Manufacturers on there we've used this

many many times at even work on some

really nichy Brands which are usually a

pain to sort of reset it'll do the job

no problem any battery resets or

anything like that for your AGM

batteries it will do that brake pad

reset so for instance like the BMS and

the Audi and the Merks you put new brake

pads in the white your little on the

pads you have to put them in doesn't

turn the light out you got to actually

put the machine on the car and reset the

service indicator on it otherwise you'll

never get the lights off the dash

that'll do that no problem it'll do the

brake calipers for the rears so you've

got electronic handbrakes you can't just

wind the calipers back in like you can

for instance on front brakes you

actually need to put them in what's

called service mode now this again will

do that for you all those manufacturers

your BMS your Merks your Rena there's

countless now that use electronic Part

brakes put them into service mode you

need a machine like this this will do

this for you it will test all out

handbrakes as well electronic Part

brakes and read them any issues as well

it will sort that out for you and get

that data it'll do throttle body

adaptations so for instance if you've

got rup or idling or anything like that

I've used these on the minis before

we've had to set the idle up when

they've been taken apart the inlets and

stuff toas stuff like that I've used one

of those recently where you take a

battery off some Toyota petrols they

don't set right the idle resetting them

stuff like that it'll work on that no

problem it'll work on tire pressure

monitoring systems works on airbags

works on ABS all them major things

everyday stuff you want to be scanning

this will do that job you will not find

a better machine for less money it's got

it own built-in battery it works even

with the battery flat it'll power off

the car but best of all with this

machine well two things one is the price

which we'll get to in a sec and the

second one is the free updates I have

paid more money for updates on machines

in the past which have cost me thousands

of pounds than this machine actually

cost this is free updates for life if

you haven't got a worry in two three

four years time if you buy this it's not

going to be relevant because you got the

free updates with it now the cost of

this machine standard price usually is

135 quid which is a bargain nonetheless

you will not find a better machine for

less money however it's on promo so with

price like I say you will not find

anything better it's a superb machine so

make sure you get that bought up guys

ideal for any want at home or amateur

mechanics even if you're just running a

small Workshop you just want a basic

sort of machine that'll do about 75 80%

of everything we'd need to do day in day

out cannot recommend that one enough you

will not find anything better for the

money okay and finally before we get out

on the pitch let's talk about the last

machine which is this one which is the

art diag 800 BT it comes in some little

Carri Cates this one now this one is

pushing it up a bit to be honest with

you the price difference is for not a

lot more money you can get a far more

superior machine we're going to quickly

go through this one so this is a

wireless machine the other one was

corded obviously this is a bit more

expensive so you're going to get a bit

more Tech on this one so it's first of

all it it's got his own little little

pod in there which is an OBD Port

scanner so basically that puts that into

any LD socket it's Wireless on Bluetooth

so I can communicate with this machine

so you can pop that in the car go and

sit down like I do in the office or sit

down the chair and I don't have to be

outside in the rain whil I'm scanning

Vehicles which is Handy it's got an

updated processor in it as well it's a

little bit more quicker and smoother

where it runs the now this machine the

800 BT has got 28 different special

functions the 600s has got eight special

functions to be honest the most common

the ones you like to use but this is got

28 so this has got a lot more Tech on it

for not a lot more money so it'll do

everything that the 600 will do but it

will also go a bit further so for

instance it'll be doing things like we

said mentioned it'll do all the ABS All

The Brak stuff it'll do all the resets

on the service lights it'll do all the

dpfs in fact it's got more uh

manufacturers and makes on this one the

600's got a lot of the sort of standard

makes this he's got more of a Nichi

makes on the uh on the DPF stuff Regens

and stuff like that so you've got more

manufacturers on there but this will

also do things like ABS bleeding no

problems so you change an ABS pump you

need to bleed them up a machine like

this is needed it will do that it'll do

injector coding so for instance if you

need to take injectors out of a car

replace them they have codes on them if

you just try and put them in and start

them up sometimes they won't run or

other times they'll run rough because

you need to actually calibrate them to

the car you need a machine like this to

do that usually those machines would

cost thousands of pounds till recently

this will do that for a fraction of the

price it works on our blue it will do

EGR functionality and bleeding it

recalibration of egr's as well sometimes

you replace an EGR you have to tell it

it's had a new EGR Mercedes-Benz would

be an example of that it will do gear

learning technology on sort of automatic

and semi-automatic boxes it works on

stop start it works on the seats it will

do windows it will do mobilizers working

on those and any problems or faults with

that it has got so many functionalities

if I was setting up a garage tomorrow

and needing a new machine and why I want

to budget that is the machine I'm going

to be buying because for the cost of it

honestly will not find anything better

that will do more a machine like that a

few years ago an equivalent being a

Bosch or a launch machine would have

been

223,000 this machine retails RP standard

at 240 quid but you're not going to pay

that because you put in that code Jam

PID 20 it'll go down to

192 and a few P 192 quid for a machine

which is Rivals cost thousands and

thousands of pounds and it's got free

updates like the 600s as well even the

updates on it Rivals cost more than the

actual machine just to run for a year

and you've got the for life so again

Jamay 20 stick that in and you'll get

this down to 192 quid so those two

diagnostic machines and that jump pack

cuz we've had a quite a lot going on um

other bit of news and the uh what

vehicles made some rear piit what

vehicles have made a re appearance um

course so I think we talked about that

last time we've since sold the Suzuki

SX4 so we've sold that as well that went

yesterday deposit down on that one we

got to get that rushed out we' had this

for in stock about six seven weeks

couple of test drives people going away

thinking about it but never really had

any commitment anyway guy came yesterday

took it out no problem bought the car no

issues at all drives absolutely mint

that one uh we have to put a door module

on this on the driver's side very common

on these they're based on a fat actually

or the Suzuki based on a fat I can't

which way which way around it is and the

fat I can't remember name of the fat

which is based on going pronounce the

name of it but anyway I'll put a picture

of which one it is you're more likely to

see the Suzuki version of it you just

seem to be a bit more popular I said

these are 1 16 petrol good old car these

they drive very nice 5-speed manual very

simplistic they said this one was priced

up at

$21.95 clean old car that we got it from

Aston Barkley so didn't really need a

great deal on on the door module want to

set front brakes on it which we're doing

today and then get it in for Mot uh

think we took 100 that in the end so

quite pleased with that I said good

robust car those Suzukis they do drive

very well and we're not over complicated

as well which I like not worse than

modern cars over complicated quickly

mention what else has been sold as well

um I think can't remember last update

videos we sold the persio 107 in my last

video I think we mentioned that already

that is uh took a deposit on it sold

that's going out this week as you can

see that's gone the r now getting sorted

so far that's had three new tires on it

had one good tire out for so it's had

three new tires on it um I think we've

done uh stripping clean of the brakes

it's had new rear brakes as well um it's

now ready for under sealing so we're

going to under seal It In fairness for

the age of this one they're usually this

is on 97 they're usually all a bit

scabby around here you can quite see

it's a bit dark today but they usually

quite scabby around here this one isn't

too bad actually it's I'm quite

surprised actually how good it is for 97

foul and we haven't even hit it yet with

any UND so we get the jet wash on it in

a bit give it a good power washing

underneath and then hit it with a really

good shots just to help protect it

really and keep it long a bit long give

it a bit of longevity but uh yeah so

that one's quite good we've impress with

that we've already talked about that in

the past anyway so we'll uh we'll skip

that now but we'll uh that's going out

Saturday so I'm pleased with that one

and someone's getting a really good car

the Mazda you can what's left you can

see it's in the air the Mazda free had a

few inquiries on this last time I

mentioned it on the channel no sooner

we'd uh got it to mention on the channel

it's sold the next morning someone came

for it he said this is now on the ramp

Pon working on to it but to have the

wheels powder coated on this one we got

to do a service on it full service kit

need on this one that's really it to be

honest it's actually quite a decent

little car like I said

was up for nice alternative to a focus

these this a bit smarter inside just a

nice car I said this what flew out the

door and I've had loads of people come

on locals and people have seen it online

as well asking is it available obvious I

need to start buying more of these cuz

it seems quite a popular car they do

drive very nice so there's a few more

sales have had since the last update

we've also had a focus as well that's

been sold and gone out as well but

on top of the ones we still haven't got

funny Grill that's going out this week

we've uh got Cleo going out the old

campus Cleo that's been delayed going

out that's now going out this week

customer can't pick it up to the end of

the week the fox where's the fox we got

the fox somewhere the fox is over there

the little 30 odd th000 mile Fox they're

coming for that this week the Fiesta's

gone out the Zs that went out yesterday

so that's good news that only needed a

drive shaft bearing doing and just a

general service I was really pleased

with that to be honest with the state of

the service history that we had oh my

word it was just huge amounts of folders

and paperwork with it so wasn't

surprised how good that was uh that flew

for its mot so it's been a good old week

can't can't complain so what else we got

to talk about we'll quickly quickly show

you some new purchases I have not

touched any of these have not been able

to touch any prep cars at all the Audi

is moved from there over there hasn't

been touched we haven't managed to get

it in the workshop yet um little things

fiesta that's landed this week a bought

of a friend of mine very cheap low very

cheap Little Fiesta the old shaped Mark

Mark five we call these as you can see

still full of crap and by looks of it

he's had the parking charge as well so

maybe we might have a parking charge

coming all way who knows um 96,000 Mi at

the moment doesn't look the best to be

honest with you but we can soon mint

these up it's not a bad one this it's

got a little bit little bit bitty here

and there little bits on it with one

touching in it doesn't really need any

proper paint to be honest it just wants

a bit of a cleanup a good buff up little

bit of touchups here and there I've

driven it it does drive all right which

is the main thing it just wants

smartening up this a cheapy little car

we give about 4450 quid for memory for

it we'll spend a few hundred on it get

it looking right and then we'll probably

look to sort of 14.95 it you know we do

a bit of work to it check all the usual

stuff out servicing might need a c out

all that but we do all that I've also

ordered Towing and eye cover cuz they

always missing on these put that in flip

that in with some moondust silver just

touch a few bits in give it a good buff

up bumper wants a bit to bit of perlin

as well so again little cheaper this

sort of stuff bread and butter cheap

cars for someone that can use and run

these are quite good these One 125z tech

fiestas far better than the EcoBoost

we've got this AIS that's coming this is

an

automatic six petrol need to have a look

at it first it's come via a friend of

mine who took it took it in part

Exchange customer said it was having um

an issue with batteries failing uh and

it was running a bit rough on the idle

In fairness we put started it up

straight away which is a bit odd cuz we

told us the battery was failing and it

seems to be starting all right but the

idle is a little bit all over the place

now on these you do have to reset these

up if the batteries fail they're a bit

weird they have these Toyota work there

was a reset procedure for him so we're

going have to have a little fle around

with that and get it running right um it

does Drive reasonably all right other

than the idle is just a bit dipping and

sort of fluctuating a little bit so we

need to have a look at that we need to

spend some bit of time and effort on

that so we'll come back to that next

week because it's a 16 petrol automatic

U car which you know over on 07 plate

although it is an houris on that first

shape which is good um it will sell no

problem at all but it's got to be right

so we need to make sure that is right

I've paid 800 quid for it which to be

honest with you that sort of money you

can get out of it even if it's not good

enough to sell on here you can get out

of that you stick that at an auction

with an mot on it you'll still get out

of that make a little bit of profit on

it in this market because automatics are

so difficult to to get hold of I wish I

could buy more of them I just can't and

certainly going to get Japanese ones in

which is very rare but anyway we're

going to come back to that one we'll see

how that develops this one's just landed

this is a perso 208 diesel bought off a

trade a friend of mine now actually in

First Impressions looks a very very

clean car and it is a clean car very

presentable nice looking car it's a 14

diesel for people start going it' be a

onew pure Tech Engine it's a wet pal

it's a piece of crap and you're not

wrong that engine is a piece of crap but

this is the one four diesel good engine

get it in fiestas and stuff like that P

citan engine it's very good little r

it's a very good little engine I rate it

quite well this one drives like the day

it was new I've been using it last few

days because it's full of diesel and

like I said it's a very clean

presentable car I think it's done about

86,000 Mi on a 14 plate retail on that

nearly 4 grand for that car however this

one ain't going up for 4 grand now it's

not a categorized car so it's not on the

register it is hbi clear but it has got

a very unique problem to it which I've

never never seen before but I have heard

about you probably can't see at the

moment because of all this dealers Miss

that's on it but basically let see if I

can try and see on the roof I mean at

the moment it looks lovely but it's got

very small golf B Marks try I don't

think I'll be able to show you if I

can't show you here I'll wait till it

dries but it's basically it's got very

small golf ball marks in the roof all

over the roof and all over the Bonnet

now like I said it's you do sort of have

to look to see them basically the owner

said he went down south and it had a

massive Hailstone um where they were and

it's just basically damage the roof and

the Bonnet and put loads of that little

golf ball marks in it at the moment

you're probably thinking well I can't

see anything what are you on about which

honestly generally when it dries you do

see them more and if I can get some

footage of it to show you in the dryer

will do I'll pop it here but there is a

few little marks over the roof and

Bonnet now you could just go and get a

new Bonnet and get the roof painted but

to be honest with you time you've done

that you're basically just paying for

that paint to be done and getting a

bonnet you're not going to get actually

any more money out of it than you would

do just pricing it sensibly with the

marks on it so basically just saying

look this is the problem it's got a few

marks on the Bonnet and roof but overall

it's a presentable car it drives well

and does price it accordingly like I

said that' be four grand retail standard

um obviously all clean looking lovely

which we could make it that I'd have to

spend 250 quid on a bonnet in color

probably have to get the roof D which CU

it's got a few sway lines in the roof

the way it's designed it's quite

difficult to paint you could be spend 6

700 quid and getting a roof painted and

properly and getting all the dents out

of it and I mean small dents but

nonetheless got to get them out and put

the Bonnet on well your Ms are would

reduce the car's price just sell it as

it is so that's the intentions probably

going to stick that up I mean I give

1,800 quid no sorry you 1,00 quid for it

yes I give 1800 quid for it the plan is

just to basically just stick it up as it

is spend a few hundred on it just need a

few little bits definitely wants a

little bit suspension work droplink

stuff like that on the front very common

on 208s um probably wants an auxiliary

belt tensioner cuz I can hear a little

bit of a whne just general service stuff

as well so we've got a few few hundred

quid def to spend on it probably going

to go up for I think he probably maybe

just stick it up for 295 or 3195

basically just make it sort of like

categorize money even though it isn't on

the register for like sort of cat D

Money even though it's hbi clear because

it has got those marks on it and

although you can't see it now in the dry

I said is a little bit noticeable like I

said what's the point in spending

another 6 7 800 quid having all the

paint done you're not going to get that

back because we just might as well sell

it as it is someone who doesn't really

matter too much just sees it for what it

is nice little cheap modern car diesel

as well free Road tax ideal for someone

so we'll see we'll keep an update on

that one and let you know what I do of a

change in mind okay right uh Juke Juke

is back this is one of the cars I

mentioned that's back so this is the uh

Juke we've seen on the channel before 16

petrol Nissan Juke uh we've had new

brakes all on this done we had the seat

sent away to be repaired which I can

show you now if it's open obviously this

is only a little 40 quid repair so it's

not been like uh taken out and refurbed

to like brand new basically it was all

collapsed the bolster on this side

really sort of basically got in it and

falling out the car guys took it away

the seat man opened it up B put some new

foam in it resealed it back up make sure

the stitching's good that's done for 40

quid ain't complaining I'm happy with

that we're never going to get it mint it

wasn't meant to be mint it was just

meant to be improved as well so for 40

quid trued a bit been valed although we

had one or two people in it who've put

the mkey feet in again so it doesn't

look like it's been valed but it

generally has been valed uh like I said

it's had um lot of suspension work done

to it new arms on the front and drop

links and stuff tire rods have been done

both of them just need to get this into

tracking now about to sort the wheels

out as well we were going to get them

painted but luckily in the end uh

colleague of mine pointed out that we

had a cash guy which was a few weeks ago

was over there somewhere which we bought

from auction month or two ago rough old

cash guy with scratches all over it and

we're going to send it to auction just

to flip it to get a bit of profit out of

it which we did do and we did get a

little bit of profit out of it but

before it went we changed the wheels so

we changed the wheels and tires over

that saved us a few hundred not having

to have the wheels Wheels done so yeah

so tough of that as well so another few

hundred quid saved had it all buffed up

we had a rocker paint done on it as we

saw in the previous update we have to

sort the door ringes out cuz the door

drop it's about to have two new door

hinges from uh Nissan so you can see now

solid as a rock and shots perfectly so

um we pleased with that one it's come up

really well in the

end all I got to do now is get it into

tracking around the corner and then it's

ready to roll uh pricewise we stuck it

up for

$34.95 it's done 115 a little bit up on

the miles but again these hold the money

really well very contentious car some

people like them a lot of people don't

but they are good sellers at the end of

the day I'm here to stock what sells

cost wise what we spent on it cuz I

mentioned I'd give you an update on the

costs we gave about I think it was 900

quid we paid for that from memory we've

spent about few hundred pound few

hundred on paint door Ines like I said

the brakes all around it's quite a bit

of stuff we have to sort of boot out as

well as switch went on it altogether

this car has come in around 1,800 quid

1825 quid for memory I think roughly so

we I've thrown a lot of money at that

but we are getting 34.95 or we asking

34.95 now it's very rare you get that

type of margin in a car don't think that

I'm getting that out every single car

that don't happen if I did I'd be a very

very rich man and probably have peacocks

flying around my house at home but I

don't so it's just one of those cars

where we've had to put a lot of effort

in and we are going to get a nice return

out of it and a justifiable return but

also remember guys you got to stand on

this car for a length of period of time

as well so so that bill so that price

you spent as well can go up and also

you've got a v margin to pay which on

900 quid purchased three and a half

grand out the door that's some that

going to the tax man right finally what

is the other big news I had well the car

has made a comeback which is this is the

citran C4 which I've just noticed that a

bird has crapped on the back wind screen

so it needs washing again thank you very

much anyway this car has been on the

channel early last year this citen C4

diesel you can check out the videos here

uh basically we bought this for I think

it was about 8900 some memory um it had

a water leak customer brought it in with

a water leak in my old business my old

garage business left it with me I didn't

manage to diagnose it on the day she

came back in the afternoon basically

said don't worry about it um I'm going

to basically send it to we b car and get

rid of it so I said look they're not

going to offer you whatever they've

claimed I will give you I think I think

it was about 8900 quid I I'll remember

I'll put down here what it was but um I

said look I'll give you that for it if

they sort of mess you out anyway she

went off to we by car and they messed

her him out she came back and basically

just ripped my hand off uh took the

money for it uh and thought great I

drove around in it for sort of a half a

day you went homeing it topped up with

water and it drove absolutely lovely but

I did notice obviously it was leaking

water quite quickly um we had it back on

the ramp checked it over it was leaking

on the front of the engine so I assumed

it's probably a core plug or an oil

cooler leaking or maybe the radiator no

it was none of them it was the engine it

was a cylinder red leaking brilliant um

so we ended up having to have an engine

purely because if though you could

stripped it down and probably done the

egg gasket on it uh I spoke to some guys

in the trade who stripped these down and

they were just saying look don't go down

that route we've done them before we

never seem to work right uh just get

another engine um sadly the engines on

these 2010 onwards quite expensive to

buy the previous one six one's a 16

valve one's an eight valve they changed

them around 2010 uh but the previous

engine is a lot cheaper to buy this

one's a bit deer 600 Quid for an engine

I got a guy throw it in for me because

we didn't have time was by this point

now this is April last here now this is

where we sort of

moving moving from one business to the

next so just got someone else to throw

the engine in then it needed a rocker

paint and other bits and Bobs as well

the car just basically turned out from

owing me about the best part of about

two grand then he got laid up at the old

business left there while bringing cars

on site and just basically forgotten

about however I did go to it few weeks

ago start it up first turn the key up

she went and she was fine we brought it

back here um then noticed again it was

still leaking water what now and it that

did actually turn out to be the

thermostat housing on the side of the

engine was leaking it was the original

housing which we reattached to the

engine uh so we should have changed it

really it's our fault then mway

nonetheless changed the housing on the

citon and it now it's running perfectly

been own it a few times no issues it's

running absolutely spot on the engine in

it is got 88,000 mi in it the car sadly

showing 134 so in reality I should not

have gone down this rout I should have

just left it a lot of you guys said not

to bother and you were right but I took

a grisk when I first bought it at the

end of the day if it been a really

straightforward sort of coolant leak

which could have been easy to repair I'd

have had really good money out of it but

sometimes it doesn't work like that it

doesn't always happen so there you go in

the end I did manage to get that update

on that citan it is now on sale for

$23.95 there is no money in that car

absolutely no money in it we making

probably about100 out of it time you set

on your warranty mot it serviced it

we're not going to make in a penny but

at the end of the day you just get the

money back in move on learn from your

mistakes but it has come up a nice car

over than that bird get out that

noise I'm sorry about the road noise

today guys is horrific out there the

traffic is appalling right so anyway

we've done a bit of an update on what's

been happening on the pitch the so cars

and obviously we got that offer out to

you as well so I think it's been a

successful morning we need to crack on

now and get some of these cars out and

really need to start restocking also we

need to get these bloody cars that are

in the corner either fixed or the part

x1's gone to the auction as well so that

is the plan for this weekend see what we

can clear see we can clear those decks

out get some more stocking for next week

and hopefully try and go again so thank
