buying a juicer i'm a very impulsive
buyer clearly i've heard about this
thing
yesterday people want to buy health we
want to buy it in a supplement that's
why it's a multi-billion dollar industry
we want to buy it with the next gadget
people like buying things with health
they're looking for magic pills and
while supplements have some validity
right the bioavailability in supplements
is like 10
so what it leaves you with is your
essentially expensive urine
if you're pissing out 90 of it it's like
great nine out of every ten dollars on
supplements just goes down the drain
when i heard about this juicing it makes
so much sense because
it's the complete package you have all
the enzymes in the raw product
all the minerals all the vitamins that
you can absorb nature makes no mistakes
with that stuff right
and so i realized i was spending a lot
of money on supplements for cognition
and tropics and vitamins and i was
falling victim to the advice of i want
to buy health but why was i not willing
to invest
150 in a juicer and like i don't know
three dollars a day in the celery you're
gonna get way more bang for your buck

the first one i do not know what the
salts are called in celery i don't know
if they have a specific name
or some fancy one with like greek
nomenclature in there right they
probably do
but these celery salts in here are the
compounds some micronutrients right
they help maintain being full they help
the liver produce
bile and absorb foods much better
what this does is it kick-starts your
liver into overdrive
and your liver is the workhorse of the
body right it's working
like all organs but 24 7 365. but if you
know anything about alcoholics they get
what they get
fatty liver disease where it's too much
toxins because alcohol is a toxin
and it builds up and it works it too
hard you can actually die
or you need a liver transplant so what
celery juice does is it helps detoxify
that and it goes in there and
aids the liver and kicks it into
overdrive with the properties in the
juice
pretty cool second is it's a natural
laxative anyone who's ever drank celery
juice
like day one you will literally know
that within about 30 minutes but if you
have any digestive issues or you have
constipation or you're really bloated
this can really help
third i read a study about celery
extract and they did it on diabetic rats
there was a lab that did it
they gave them celery extract and they
measured their diabetic
uh you know markers and stuff like blood
glucose and it went down significantly
their blood pressure improved which i
have no clue how you measure blood

you got like a little pump that's like

right what does that actually do
it's geek talk for antioxidants help

and rack my brain for what i learned in
college on them but pretty much free
radicals are really dangerous because
they bind to things
and one of the things they do is disrupt
your dna structure
okay so there's a theory that these free
radicals floating around
right that this oxidative stress
contributes to the breakdown of your
body and
to cancer next one is an
anti-inflammatory lots of great
properties in here so if you struggle
with inflammation
which a lot of energetic issues are
because you're inflamed
right and the other one too is healing
your gut so those go hand in hand

you know if you have a leaky gut or
anything like that or autoimmune
conditions
it's going to take a lot of energy
because your body's always fighting off
it which makes people feel fatigued
tired brain fog but the biggest benefit
i found with celery juice when i was
researching it and i totally noticed

in my seven days is that it helps

is if you're eating a high protein diet

how do you feel after thanksgiving
exhausted because you had to talk to
your mother-in-law for three hours right
that too but also the turkey the meals
we just
ah gobble gobble gobble right and you're
eating it up you get so much food
you don't want to eat for two or three
days because you're tired
right you want to take a nap you want to
crash that's because the more we eat the
more
energy it takes to digest that so one of
the best ways
to combat that and feel more energetic
is eating less yes but also
eating the digestion which celery juice
does
here we go day number two i don't know
if i necessarily noticed
massive effects yesterday of the celery
juice definitely some minor stuff like
more energy more clarity less fatigue
but then again it's only one day of
juicing how much can you really notice
so here comes day number two
it still tastes the same although a
little different than yesterday i feel
like every
celery stalk has its own uh flavor
palette so we're four days in
i thought i would give just my uh
biggest takeaways i've noticed being
halfway through the seven
if i think it's working or just kind of
where i'm at just so you can pace
yourself
if you're doing this as well or want to
and share similar experiences
first thing i noticed is this definitely
isn't bs this isn't just myth or placebo
because i definitely feel something i've
been purposely not changing
anything else about my diet or routine
just so i can see if this is actually bs
or legit and i don't have the healthiest
cleanest diet in the world
90 of it's probably frozen foods from
trader joe's can't beat that mandarin
chicken but i noticed throughout the day
i have substantially
way more energy and that's not just in
my head see i got into this because i
used to have intense brain fog
i'd rely on caffeine first thing in the
morning and i'd just be going going
going and then as soon as i would eat i
would just
crash and be worthless for the rest of
the day literally from like
3 p.m to 7 p.m i just had nothing
up here would try and film videos so
frustrating couldn't get in the state
tried everything tried meditation tried
breathing exercises tried even going
gluten free for a bit tried getting my
water in tried exercising tried saunas
nothing the only thing that worked with
the brain fog i found was combining
l-theanine and caffeine now
of course this is not medical advice but
i took an energy pill and the l-theanine
goes with the caffeine and makes it more
substantial all day long right
this feels like five of those l-theanine
smooth energy right it just comes on
smooth what i'm trying to say here is
this
has pretty much completely gotten rid of
my brain fog i feel almost this like
natural high throughout the day
and again i'm sure some of this could be
placebo but i feel
definitely more present and more alert
the way i would describe it is after a
post-workout right
you know how much more present and calm
you are with people it's kind of how you
feel with this throughout the day
definitely am crapping my brains out
okay you have one solid bowel movement
in the morning right
like normally after i drink my coffee
like clockwork literally 30 minutes
i'm on the pot takes me like 30 seconds
and i'm off we're getting real personal
you and i now i do
that same bowel movement right but then
about 30 minutes
after i drink this there's an explosive
round it's like an eruption
violent disgusting putrid moist
okay i'll stop you get what i'm trying
to say there just be prepared for that
one other really cool thing
so this isn't just so subjective like oh
i think this is working
is i actually wear this ring right here
this aura ring okay and it tracks
all my sleep and wakes wake cycles and i
was looking on the app this morning
because i'm like you know what i don't i
don't i've heard that celery juice
um affects your sleep right i don't know
if you can see it
there's a little glare but i'll just
explain it to you i'm getting over
two hours of deep sleep every single
night since starting this
now if you go to like october 19th as a
baseline i was only getting about
one hour and eight minutes i'd say
between one hour and one and a half
hours a night with what i would get with
deep sleep
now i'm getting consistently over two
hours which is crazy that's 25
increase in deep sleep and you're like
why is that important clark guess where
your body does the
heavy lifting repair work internally
that's in your deep sleep there's also
rem sleep and light
sleep rem sleeps like where you're
tripping and you're having all those
crazy dreams right subconscious minds
going
and light sleep i'm not really sure how
to define it it's just like you're not
really repairing you're just kind of
coasting
deep sleep is the money you ever have
those times where you sleep
so hard and you wake up in the morning
and you just feel like
you slept so hard you need to sleep
again a lot of those times are like when
you're sick right and you're in intense
deep sleep
so i think that definitely contributes
to the energy rush because you're
sleeping better so why wouldn't you feel

how do you actually do this what is the
protocol well it's pretty simple it's
literally just one ingredient celery
but there's some do's and don'ts the guy
who wrote the medical medium book i can
never remember his name
not that you have a monopoly on a
vegetable right drinking a vegetable
right get possession
get territorial over it but he has some
of the best advice on it he says you
want to do
16 ounces of celery juice
first thing in the morning 32 if you're
dealing with some real heavy issues
but start with 16 definitely that's
pretty much it
you don't even drink water when you wake
up before this because that can dilute
the benefits in your stomach don't eat
anything
20 minutes to 30 minutes after go as
long as you can in that fasted celery
state
it's much easier than you think now i
normally do a variation of intermittent
fasting where i don't eat
i don't know for 16 hours and i try to
eat an eight-hour window i've just
naturally adapted to that
so it's not very hard but this the
celery juice the minerals in them
keeps you full so i noticed i wasn't
even hungry even after my 16 hour
fast window which again adds to the
weight loss benefit if you're not eating
obviously
you're gonna lose weight it's worth
mentioning i also saw some people who
didn't have
juicers access to it they didn't want to
spend 150 bucks to get a juicer so they
used a really high-powered blender and
then you can strain the celery through a
cheesecloth
and that's kind of a makeshift way of
juicing it it doesn't necessarily have
to be
organic you can get conventional but
when i was at the grocery store today it
was super weird i don't know if you guys
have this at your stores
conventional celery was 2.99 a bunch
and it was bigger but then i went over
to the organic stuff and it was 199 a
bunch
so it's actually cheaper to get the
organic stuff than the conventional and
that is pretty much it for the protocol
super simple literally just 16 ounces
every single morning
morning and welcome to day number six we
have one more day but
hold on we gotta check the flavor
palette of today hold on
um yeah this is definitely southern
grown
california of origin probably 50 acre
farm and it still tastes like celery
nothing new to report on benefit-wise
still same mental clarity
still same energy still same explosions

i want to touch on one point that's
really fascinating more like the human
psychology and marketing side of things
so i typed in how to juice celery right
or celery juice benefits
got a lot of videos that had crazy
numbers of views like millions of views
but then i realized there's like almost
equally as many videos that are ranking
on youtube
for i stopped drinking celery and this
is what happened
the reason i stopped drinking celery not
what you think
it's just like really click bait stuff
and so naturally i'm like okay let me
watch these
you know what the reasons were for a lot
of those people they weren't even like
good reasons
it was literally just uh it was such a
hassle to juice every morning
i didn't want to go to the supermarket
and buy it it was two dollars it was
expensive
i'm just sitting there like these are
the cons of it and look i know i'm on a
high horse i've been juicing for six
days these people
are going for 30 whatever but this is a
really interesting point in marketing
that there's two ways to get views the
first is when something's hot you just
go go go go go go and ride that trend
and then once that trend is peaked the
second way to get a lot of views
or clicks is to go against it right and
start
bashing it and you see this all the time
with diet trends
keto the hottest thing i went keto i
lost so much weight keto keto keto
why you shouldn't do keto why keto is
dangerous for your health right
veganism great great quick veganism is
bad veganism sounds bad
paleo paleo oh paleo's the worst you see
this with everything
and this is just how the internet works
so just know that if you're not aware of
the
peak and valley cycle that's how they
get clicks that's how marketing works
that goes for anything okay even goes
for people as well you see celebrities
or influencers to use everyone's
favorite word right
get really really big i'm not gonna name
names right get huge a mask is huge
falling and then people start turning
against them once they
peek too hard or they say oh we can't
relate to you anymore oh we missed the
old times man
music artist too it's the same thing
peak burn anyway i just thought that
trend was fascinating with celery now to
address those
few points that i found because i wrote
them down and i'm like okay why are
people quitting the celery juice
it's too expensive okay let's go with
this one i don't think this is expensive
at all like okay the juicer
that i bought yes that's 150 okay
but if you divide that out over the cost
of a year i did it yesterday it comes to
like 43 cents a day or something
take it to two years if you use it every
day that's like 23 cents
22 cents whatever so when you break it
up over every day we probably can save
25 cents a day
the celery itself okay that's about two
to three dollars if you buy an organic
bunch
i 100 percent eat two dollars less food
a day
because i have this celery juice in me
i'm not hungry i'm full of minerals
all that stuff i told you about so i
view it as like paying for itself and i
definitely drink less junk or crap
that's expensive
and the same people saying oh that's
expensive two dollars a day
are probably the same people who go to
starbucks spend five dollars a day on
you know
freaking pumpkin double vanilla extra
foam soy lattes
and don't even think about it their gold
star ratings are off the chart
so priority is i guess i'm not trying to
preach at you i'm just saying what i
notice
and i always love what paul check says
when it comes to health
investing in your health investing in
your mental clarity whether that's a gym
membership
a personal trainer some supplements that
you think could really make you better
juicing like whole foods right he says

you can pay the farmer more now or the
doctor more later
and you know a lot of people when they
get really old what happens they spend
like pretty much
all their money just trying to stay
alive that's like the sad reality the
dark reality that no one really
talks about or thinks about the medical
system is so expensive
and even if you save all this money it
can be wiped out if you get cancer
or stuff that your health insurance
can't cover fully right people go into
debt for that stuff or even nursing
homes or like
i don't know how much a day super
expensive right so
keeping yourself healthy preventative
methods over the long term
are actually cheaper and you get a
better life
than the cure for treating symptoms does
that make sense
the other main con i saw people say was
oh you know it was a hassle i didn't
want to pull out the juicer and do it
again if i don't have 10 minutes to
invest in my health every morning what
am i doing i just keep the juicer out on
the table
and it cuts down the startup time a lot
people are like oh i have to go to the
store so much no you don't you have to
go like once a week
you buy seven heads of celery there you
go my point with all these is don't let
the excuses hold you back
from it just want to share some thoughts
on the downside of marketing
