courses for 2024 now if you're starting

your Cloud Learning Journey this year

you're in the right place when I was new

to AWS I remember jumping from resource

to Resource trying to find the best one

the problem was there was so many out

there and I didn't know where to begin

fast forward to 2024 I now have six

Cloud certifications worked at AWS as a

Solutions architect for 2 years and have

recommended study materials and road

maps to thousands of cloud Learners as

some of you may know I made a video like

this last year and even the year before

but wow recently AWS has released so

many free resources that I have to make

an updated video back in 20121 I saw an

article saying that AWS is committed to

investing hundreds of millions of

dollars to provide free cloud training

to 29 million people worldwide by 2025

and it really seems like they kept their

promise now this is the perfect

opportunity to take advantage of

especially if you don't want to spend

hundreds of dollars on expensive courses

or boot camps by letting you know about

these free resources my goal is to help

you save time and money and to get you

started on your Cloud Learning Journey

without all the overthinking if you find

recommend is AWS learning badges AWS has

been rolling out these badges to help

Learners gain a basic knowledge in

specific Cloud domains now the reason

that these learning badges have become

so popular popular in the cloud

Community is because they're an easy way

to get started with AWS and they set out

a structured learning pathway instead of

aiming for a full certification you can

set yourself the goal of getting an AWS

learning badge and then build your

skills from there the best part is that

these badges are completely free and can

be added to your LinkedIn profile or

resume you'll be given unique links for

each badge that you ear which can then

help employers verify that you've

invested time and effort in building

certain skills all you have to do is

follow the learning plan complete every

section and the badge will be issued to

you there's a whole bunch of learning

badges you can earn from cloud

more exciting way to learn AWS is

through their free interactive online

games these games make learning cloud

Concepts fun and engaging and here are

two of my favorites the first one is AWS

Cloud Quest this is a series of online

challenges that teaches you AWS Cloud

Concepts through Hands-On exercises and

activities you'll enter a virtual city

choose a role like Solutions architect

and complete missions tailored towards

that role by the end of it you can earn

a digital badge to showcase on LinkedIn

I've tried Cloud Quest myself and I

found it to be really educational and

engaging and it's also just a good way

to take a break from just reading

documentation and watching tutorials now

I do have to mention that for now only

the cloud practitioner Cloud Quest is

free the rest of them require a

subscription of $29 a month to access

but even by just completing the free one

you'll learn a lot about cloud and AWS

plus it's completely self-paced so that

you can take your time with it the

second online game I'd recommend for

learning cloud is AWS card Clash this is

a 3D virtual card game that helps

Learners gain knowledge of AWS Cloud

architectures how it works is that you

choose from 27 unique architectural

designs and then deploy AWS service

Cards into missing slots then you can

compete against an opponent to see who

can complete the solution diagram faster

and so if you're someone who wants to

learn about cloud architectures and how

to design Solutions using AWS services

this game is definitely worth trying out

it's a unique and interactive way to

learn and helps you practice with real

world use cases I'll leave a link to

third free resource I'd recommend is

this Cloud practitioner Essentials

course created by AWS this 7-hour course

is is part of AWS Skool Builder and is a

foundational level course for beginners

with the aim of helping you prepare for

the cloud practitioner exam this course

is great if you want to of course work

towards earning your AWS Cloud

practitioner certification but it's also

great if you simply want to learn more

about cloud and AWS in general inside

the course it covers AWS Cloud Concepts

an explanation of AWS services and other

topics like security and pricing what's

great about taking this course is that

it's created by AWS themselves if AWS

makes any major changes to the cloud

offerings they will then update their

courses to reflect those changes the

course includes video lectures Hands-On

labs and quizzes to test your

understanding it also provides insights

into AWS best practices cost management

and security features and so whether or

not you end up paying the $100 USD to

sit the exam I definitely think that

this course is still worth checking out

before we move on to Resource number

important to have a strong resume and be
