um the fans have been going crazy the
fans have been very creative microphone
is broken can anybody help her out
check test
you look beautiful but I can't hear you
okay that's the important thing
house now can you hear me now Chris
that's better now okay try again okay
you said the fans the fans have been
very creative with the memes there's
this uh trending Twitter hashtag
Indonesia once Coldplay it has been like
the top of town for weeks about you
coming here oh that makes me so happy no
we're so lucky that we get to travel
around and
meet amazing people and
you might not think that we notice when
you get excited but we really do and it
makes us feel like okay we can really
look forward to Jakarta we don't know
how maybe we would get there and
everybody would be angry with us so you
telling me this it means it means that
we can really look forward to it and be
excited and
that will make the show really good yeah
Jakarta is in the top five of uh
Coldplay listener on Spotify in the
world
really number one I think maybe I saw
someone yesterday say Indonesia was
maybe number one so anyway
wherever it's number one number three
we're so happy and grateful does that
surprising no because you guys are
awesome when you have very good taste
yes yes
so so I want to tell you this during
that concert in Bangkok and I was there
with my family and friends
and you give this shout out
to the Indonesian fans that flew all the
way to Bangkok thank you do you remember
saying that because it meant so much
well I try and I try and say thank you
to whoever I can I always forget
somebody so I'm happy that I didn't
forget you
now I think I remember leaving the
concert feeling
this overwhelmingly joy and how everyone
seems so connected somehow and I think
to anyone who's ever been to Coldplay
concerts that's the main feeling the
feeling of joy and happy and just this
really strong connection with you well
that's very kind um I think the truth is
we need that connection to maintain our
faith in humanity I I I need to feel
that connection with other humans
because especially now it's very easy to
feel isolated or alone or scared by the
world
and the truth is most people are kind
good people and they love other people
and they just want to be free to be
themselves and let everybody else be
themselves and I feel that our concert
is becoming a place where that's
possible where you can be yourself
you don't judge anybody else
and that's how we feel too we
we really love everybody's individual
Magic
and your songs are always so powerful it
it relates to so many people different
backgrounds different Generations
religions ethnicity what's the key
ingredients in making such a powerful
music well I don't really know where
music comes from I
I just receive it uh but I think the
thing that our souls have is they're all
true
so it might not appeal to everybody
because not everybody will be feeling
that way that day or not everybody likes
that kind of music or that not everybody
likes to hear me sing but
all of our songs come from a place of
real
genuine emotion right so everything we
sing about is something that we've felt
or I felt myself
and often those songs are a message to
myself of how to handle life so maybe
it's that uh Chris I watch your
interview I think it was back in 2009
when you said that the goal is to make
that perfect song and then you add it
that it will probably never happen
fast forward now almost 15 years later
do you think you have reached that goal
or have the goal changes no we have not
reached that goal but we keep trying
um
the goal changes no the goal is still
there but I think I accept that it's
like a mystical thing that maybe will
never get to but the joy is in trying I
think and I think we've made some really
good songs but uh there are some songs
by other people that I think are perfect
songs but not none of ours yet but
maybe tomorrow will change I think all
your songs are perfect I think
I'm fine Girling over here but I think
all Coldplay songs are perfectly
Coldplay well that's very kind and that
means a lot to me
[Music]
foreign
foreign
[Music]
can you share a bit more about that yes
when we were deciding whether to go on
tour
we said Well we'd love to tour but we
need to change how we consume energy and
how we we need to stop taking and stop
giving in some ways in terms of the
environment
and so we employed a few people to help
us clean up our show in terms of the
power in terms of Transport everything
to look at the whole thing how can we
improve the transport how can we improve
where we get the lights from our
everything
and um it's become a very important part
of the tour and it's something that's
always ongoing and we're always trying
to improve right now we're
I think we have like 45
clean their shower than last time but
we're still only one year in
so by the end we'll get more and more
clean but
it's become as important as the music in
some ways because of course with no
Earth there there is no music so
we felt like well we have a
responsibility to do whatever we can do
in our business and hopefully other
people in their business will do what
they can do
but uh it's become very fun it's also a
cool in our show because we have a few
places where people can interact with
some of that equipment there's a kinetic
floor where you can jump up and down and
create power some bicycles where they
create power or anybody that buys a
ticket we plant a tree so things like
that are really fun and will all that
cool Technologies also be in
yeah great great what I find really
interesting and you also mentioned this
before is that
um by doing this you are proving that
being clean and green can be a part of
any successful business so this is not
just about making a point or being
correct no no we're trying to show and
it takes a little time we're trying to
show that being clean and green is good
business
right it's not it's not something
charitable that's not something
that means you lose quality of life but
it's something that should just be
natural part of any business if you want
the business to do well great that's
that's just amazing

it was a Saturday
we confirmed one show a couple weeks
before this one came through and then
one Saturday around 3 A.M Jakarta time
my afternoon I got the call to ask for
the date and then I instantly called
Harry and Peter and the team and I said
hey is the date available and they said
yeah they checked and then we just from
that day on it got confirmed and it's
been a roller coaster ever since yeah it
happened really quick so very quick it's
early March it was a sudden Saturday at
dawn 3 A.M and then Samantha just texted
like just like that and everybody's like
on fire and then we yeah we've just been
very excited we've been working non-stop
to make this announcement and the
preparation going so yeah it just
happened just like that very fast like a
miracle yeah it really was a miracle
it's history
this is history for us it's history I
think that's a once in a lifetime
opportunity for us and we're very
grateful to to be able to do this
we need you it's you that really does
everything it's you that is the magic
so how many tickets actually are
available
around 70 000 tickets that's gonna be uh
going for uh on sale period 70 000 I
don't think that's enough
we don't think it's enough so
we're struggling with that too you know
any tips or maybe like uh secret ways
how to get the tickets other than going
to the website oh this is a one million
dollar question yeah other than the
website 100 no so the tickets uh will
only be uh sold through our official
website called playing jakarta.com so I
think for Indonesian people I just want
to emphasize uh for you guys to be wise
and to be more careful to be more you
know uh critical uh well when you
receive an information that is
different with what we tell you because
at the end of the day all information
all details is gonna be updated uh in a
timely manner in our website called
playing jakarta.com or in our social
media account uh DK entertainment and 10
presents I think that's that's the most
incredible source of Truth so yeah just
just be careful on that in terms of tips
yeah I think when your finger to be
faster yeah being being a stable
internet uh you know interview on men
and that's it pretty
