when we created the treasures of Brazil and during All this time I have always shared

in one video. In it I will show the main attractions and others that are not so obvious! My name is

João Vitor and this is Tesouros do Brasil. Let's start this video by showing the

city's main attractions. It's no wonder that they are the most popular tours, in fact they are incredible places that

deserve to be visited. But look, if you want to avoid the Obvious, stay until the end of this video and I'll

give you some great options. The Christ was elected one of the seven wonders of the modern world, inaugurated

on October 12, 1931, the day of the patron saint of Brazil, Our Lady of Aparecida, the Christ is

a 30 m high art deco sculpture that stands on an 8 m pedestal . The sculpture is hollow, made of

reinforced concrete and covered with small soapstone triangles. You can get here in

two ways: by van, which leaves from different parts of the city, and by train, which passes through the Tijuca forest,

leaving from Cosme Velho station, which is in the neighborhood of the same name. In addition to the impressive sculpture

up here, you have a beautiful view of the city and you can see the main

tourist attractions. Another symbol of the city is the Pão de Açúcar cable car park, which opened in

1912 and was the third cable car in the world. It was a super ambitious project for the time. It connects

the Urca neighborhood to Morro da Urca and Pão de Açúcar, there are two sections. The Cable Car got

its name because the first model of the cable car looked like the trams that circulated around the city.

One of the best times to visit is during sunset. Up here they have a

great leisure infrastructure, you can have a snack, have a beer and even do a little

Botanical Garden is Parque Lage, an Italian-style palace built in the middle of the forest. It was

commissioned by Henrique Lage for his wife, the Italian opera singer Gabriella Besanzoni, he

wanted to make her feel at home even in Rio de Janeiro. And what house huh? Today the palace houses

an art school and a café. To visit the palace you need to get a

free ticket on the website or get a table in the cafe. The gardens here are also beautiful and have free entry.

Chilean artist Jorge Selaron, from piece to piece of tile, transformed an

ugly staircase between the neighborhoods of Lapa and Santa Teresa into one of the most visited spots in the city. This

was a project that he started back in the 90s and was interrupted with his death in 2013. Look, if

you want to visit this staircase with fewer people, the tip is to come during the week and very early in the morning. These

multicolored steps are highly disputed. Climbing the stairs takes you to the charming

neighborhood of Santa Teresa, but the coolest way to get there is by taking one of the famous

yellow cable cars that are the symbol of the neighborhood. They leave the city center and wind their way

when the neighborhood is busiest. In a corner of the most famous beach in Brazil is the

Copacabana Fort, a military structure that was built where the Chapel of

Our Lady of Copacabana previously stood, which gave its name to the neighborhood. From here you have a beautiful view of the

entire Copa coastline. Where there was an old fortification, today there is a museum and along the Fort Wall

are spread out the popular tables of two restaurants, Confeitaria Colombo and Café 18

and is free on Tuesdays. Without a doubt, Rio de Janeiro's beaches are the

city's biggest attractions. I'm one of those people who, if I can, will spend the entire weekend at the beach. Each one

has its own particularities, but here I separated the lively ones and the calmer ones into two groups.

In the busy group I put Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon beaches in the South Zone

And in the West Zone, the excitement is at Praia da Barra, near Jardim

Oceânico. These are beaches that are located in busy neighborhoods and they end up being quite

popular. Also on sunny weekends, they are crowded. If you

want to escape the crowds, the ideal is to go there in the middle of the week and in the morning. On these beaches you

will find a structure with simple tents on the sand that sell drinks, rent umbrellas and

chairs. Prices vary a lot, so be sure to ask before you pick up, and it's worth

haggling. Along the promenade of all these beaches there are more structured kiosks

with bathrooms and that serve food. My suggestion is that you explore these

beaches and see which suits you best. In my case, I love

Ipanema beach. For those who want to enjoy a beach with less people or to appreciate

the sound of the sea, the plan is to get away from the

more populated regions and the west zone is perfect for that, that's where the beaches of

full of mountains and forests, a more beautiful setting than the other for you to explore

at the other end of this strip of sand in Leblon, at the foot of Morro

Dois Irmãos there's a viewpoint that almost no one knows about and from there you can get a

beautiful view of the city, you can get there by car and enjoy the view without sweating your

shirt. The Tijuca National Park has almost 4000 hectares and is spread across throughout the city

of Rio de Janeiro. several attractions such as Christ the Redeemer are

part of it. in the Forest sector you will find several attractions such as the Taunay waterfall.

to better explore the region, its Trails and caves I suggest taking a

tour with a guide. one of the best ways to experience

all this nature is to take on the different trails that cut through the city's forests Rio has many options

with different types of difficulty Let's start with the easiest ones and increase

the level. Beyond the Cable Car there is a way to get to the top of Morro da Urca by taking

a light trail, here the thing is that it is very vertical with many steps but

with patience you can get to the top and enjoy your reward. Look, there

was an old story that whoever climbed it you could go down the cable car for free

But that's not true, if you want to go down the cable car you'll have to pay.

I always say this, the Pedra Bonita trail has one of the best effort to view coefficients because

the trail only takes about 30 minutes and There is no technical section and the view from there is

unique, unfortunately on that day the weather didn't cooperate But trust me, the view is

beautiful. Dois Irmãos is one of the icons of Rio and there is a trail to get up

there. first you need to go up to the Vidigal favela, the adventure starts here because

the most common transport is the motorcycle taxi and then you have to face a 1 km trail that takes about

40 minutes to 1 hour ,depending on your physical fitness. on the way you already enjoy

to explore the trail of the wild beaches that bear this name because they are beaches that are very

city, currently the Beco do Rato is considered one of the most traditional and important strongholds

of Samba in Rio de Janeiro, it was opened in 2005 in a less popular corner of Lapa and

Vinícius de Moraes sings that samba was born in Bahia, but some historians say that it

several museums the MAC Museum of Contemporary Art designed by Oscar Niemeyer is the great symbol of the

city. You also need to visit the beaches of the Oceanic Region. I have lived in Rio for 12 years and only

went to explore this region not long ago and I fell in love, it's a more beautiful beach than the

other. Rio de Janeiro is definitely not just a beach, the city center is very rich and deserves

a visit. It was in this square that the Portuguese royal family landed in Brazil in 1808, fleeing

from Napoleon's armies, Rio until then was a small city and became the seat of the

empire. In this region you can find important historic buildings such as the Imperial Palace

a marine aquarium with 26,000m of built area and 4.5 million liters of

fantastic experience. Paquetá is a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro that is located on an island about an

hour by ferry from the city center, here it almost feels like we took a trip back in time. the island

is also known as pearl of Guanabara or Ilha dos Amores, it is shaped like a figure of eight with

only 1.2 km in area and 8 km in perimeter, it is a haven of peace and quiet in the central region of

Rio de Janeiro. Look, if you like adventure or adrenaline you need to try a
