deadline for gameweek 38 is tomorrow
we've had injury updates you are
deciding who the final player you're
going to buy in FPL 2023 2024 is
gameweek 38 is here today we're going to
cover everything you need to know from
players to buy what you should do if
you're chasing rank what you should you
do if you're holding rank gameweek 38
final decisions
[Music]
what is up everyone FPL Harry here
before we dive in 1,000 likes is the aim
subscribe if you are new around here
welcome to the gameweek 38 final
decisions video Welcome to the final
video of the Season we'll get into all
the sentimentals at the end so do stick
around to hear me say just a massive
thank you for all of you and all of your
support throughout the season but the
important information the important
updates that you all here for first of
all the three big piece of press
conference news that we've got so far
Anthony Gordon is expected to be back he
is sort of touch and go but we've heard
that from Eddie how before and he most
of the time pulls through we've seen him
be ruled out for a few weeks and
suddenly turn up at the weekend I'd be
very surprised if Anthony Gordon doesn't
play very similar goes for Kevin De
bryne who did pick up a knock midweek
but it is such a big game for them at
home to West Ham it is a game that we do
expect to get some news going into the
gameweek 38 deadline because of all the
games kicking off at the same time we
should hear man City Early team news but
if we don't I do expect Kevin De Bry to
be back pep did say that he should be
training on Friday afternoon and
Saturday morning ahead of the fixure
against West Ham and finally is b sacka
as well sack's one is a little bit weird
there was a picture of all the Arsenal
Squad celebrating with David ryer
getting his Golden Glove but there was
no sacker in that photo apparently he
was taking pictures with the new kit
which is why he wasn't in it so not
massively concerned about that artetta
did say midweek that he expects sacka to
be fine there was actually no update in
the Arsenal press conference on Friday
though but we've seen sacka turn out so
many times before it's the final day of
the Season it is the day that Arsenal
could win the Premier League of course
it's unlikely with Manchester City being
predicted to beat West Ham so Gordon
Kevin De Bry sacka all yellow flagged
all in theory doubt but I do expect all
three of them to
play next up just a little bit of
information of you going into the final
day of course with all the games kicking
off on the final day you're not really
needing to chase team value unless you
have exact money to make your transfers
I would advise waiting right up until
the gameweek 38 deadline tuning into
deadline streams because we often get
early team news for a whole host of
teams that we don't normally get of
course with all the teams kicking off at
the same time the chances of getting
leaks are much much higher because you
have the ability to hear from all 20
teams now the other side of that is
there are always people who try and lie
try and get followers try and sort of
deceive people so be careful with what
you believe but there should be a lot of
good news or a lot of reliable news
should I say going into that game with
38 deadline there will of course be a
game with 38 deadline Stream So do pay
attention to that I will be streaming it
live hopefully getting some Man City
team news maybe Arsenal maybe Chelsea
maybe Liverpool man united Newcastle
teams that we are really focusing on
this week so do pay attention I don't
massively expect as much mass rotation
in gameweek 38 as we've seen before so
City Arsenal Chelsea Spurs Newcastle Man
United the teams we have so much
investment in have loads to play for on
the final day so I don't expect Mass
rotation there Liverpool for example if
you're buying Salah it's klopp's last
game I expect all the big names to start
for Liverpool it might be someone like a
mun right if you're buying a mun could
himz start the final game for Fulham
given he might be leaving over the
summer if you're buying a Chris wood
could a w start at Nottingham Forest on
the final day given that Chris Wood has
had a run of games and aan is now back
from injury and forest look like they're
safe as well so just worth bearing in
mind unless you're going to be
completely priced out of your moves due
to price changes on Saturday just wait
until the deadline wait until probably
10 15 minutes before the deadline
because bear in mind when everyone makes
their transfers at the same time the
site does sometimes crash but wait until
the last half hour to make those moves
because we might get a bit of early news
as
well now just having a look at who some
of those top players to buy by position
are it's worth noting that I've excluded
the really highly owned options like
Harland son sacka Palmer foden and
Jackson of Chelsea because the majority
of you already own these they're still
good buys if you don't have them in your
team at the moment but most of you are
using differential transfers in gameweek
38 you want to do something a little bit
different you want to buy someone who's
not massively as highly owned so this
list doesn't include them doesn't mean
they're bad transfers in if you don't
own harand you don't own Palmer and you
have a route to buy them absolutely go
and do it but we're not going to look at
them people are mainly looking at
differentials or something a little bit
different going into gameweek 38 in
terms of goalkeepers David is number one
if you don't have a triple up on Arsenal
they have a 50% chance of a clean sheet
the highest of the week going into
gameweek 38 at home to Everton Orga with
Edison being ruled out is next if you
need Edison out Edison to orer is a fine
move and it frees up a lot of money
Allison number three pvi number four and
a bit of a differential you could go
Henderson of Crystal Palace you could go
Mich of Burnley I've gone with Kaminsky
because I do expect rotation for Fulham
and it is their last game most likely in
the Premier League for luten so maybe
they'll want to put on a show and
Kaminsky is normally pretty good for
saves as well into defense for me Trent
Alexander Arnold is the number one
Defender you can buy this week if you
have the money if you need a Liverpool
Defender and you don't have the money
wait until the deadline to get
confirmation that Andy Robertson starts
he is probably the next best thing but
he is a slight doubt at the moment
gardol is next if you have a spare City
slot great if you have a spare Arsenal
slot I would go Ben White sber and
Gabrielle have been great but Everton
pretty good aily pretty good defending
set pieces so maybe the goal from
corners for Gabrielle CBA is less likely
so I would go with Ben White Muno is a
nice cheap one with Aston Ville looking
like they are fully on the beach having
qualified for the Champions League
already and then a bit of a differential
we're looking at luten again is Alfie Dy
with his attacking threat at home on the
final day to a Fulham side who look like
they are on the beach or have been
flying kites over the past few weeks as
well into midfield mosal if you can
afford him is top we talk talk about
whether he's worth a hit in just a
moment but if you can get him for free
probably the best onewe punt there is
Kai havit is next really like him
playing up front and I don't really have
any doubt that he'll start I do prefer
Kai havit over Alis although Elis will
likely be a much bigger differential so
if you're really really chasing then you
might want to go for Alis say overgo for
Kai havit Brennan Johnson in at number
four away at sha United who are shipping
goals I expect my prediction is that to
be the highest scoring game of the week
shf United versus Spurs and then the
cheap options there's lots you could go
Hudson adoi I'm going with Harvey ell as
the one that I've got 4.8 million it is
klopp's last game klopp has been a
massive advocate of Harel he's actually
said he wished he played harell more
than he has it's a nice fct at home to
wolves and his returns have been pretty
good recently and the thing is with
someone like a city someone like an
Arsenal they might be managing games
right if they go 2N up they might think
okay let's hold out for the win here
because of how important it is Liverpool
would just want to put on a massive show
and I think they'll just want to score
score as many goals as they can in
klopp's last game so I quite like Harve
Elli as a cheap punt again if we get
news going into the deadline that he
does start up front things are a little
bit more difficult I like Mata as a sort
of Aisa alternative if you need a
forward for example if you're coming
down from Isaac to mateta to free up
money to go Fernandez to Salah for
example I like that combination gakpo is
next he should start there is of course
chance that Darwin does so wait for some
news on that with maaa mudri out for
Chelsea and kungu looks set to get his
first start in a very long time it feels
like for Chelsea at home to Bournemouth
Ivan Tony in at number four what looks
like his final game for brenford should
start and might want to go out with a
bit of a bang and finally is adab bio if
you need a cheaper option than mateta
bit of a differential I am backing luten
to win on the final day but not do
enough to stay up and is out a bio
Morris as well both good shout as
differentials now to cover off a few
things should you take hits going into
gameweek 38 being a big question that
I'm being asked generally I advise no
the reason reason for it is you've only
got one week for that hit to pay off now
if you've got loads of fires and you've
actually got injured players or players
with really bad fixures then potentially
yes you can consider it but every hit
that you take the first return for that
player you're bringing in basically
counts for nothing so that player has to
get two returns at a minimum with the
player you're transferring out getting
nothing now if you want to go
differential and bring in Salah for
example or something like that then
potentially but generally I'd advise if
you're not certain on the hit I wouldn't
do it generally generally the hits are
not worth it when you've only got one
week to pay it off and as you're going
completely Maverick now the next
Maverick thing is should you buy an Elis
a havit or take a minus four to buy
mosala generally I would just do the
havit or Elis move unless you're going
to Captain mosala mosala is the best
differential Captain this week if you
are chasing now you have to of course
have the risk that going against Harland
where everyone is going to Captain is a
risk but that is the only situation I
would go for Salah for a hit over just
buying havit or Elis is if you're going
to put the Cy armband on mosala and go
full Hail Mary as a big differential pun
on the final day and as I said what are
the chances that City go you know one 2
3 nil up and then say I'm going to just
hold off here I don't see that happening
with Liverpool I think Liverpool could
score four or five goals at home on
their final day against this wolves team
not playing well in klopp's last game so
think Salah potentially could be
explosive so if you are going to buy him
for a hit and Captain him it is a risk
but he is a massive differential and one
I do really like in terms of captaincy
obvious of course is Harland the top
differential ones are Salah the Arsenal
mid it doesn't look like we're going to
be certain enough that sacka is going to
start although I think he will it's
probably havs in there Cole Palmer he's
just got young Player of the Year as
well home to Bournemouth and Son given I
expect a lot of goals in those games but
Salah if you can get to him and then
Palmer and sa are really the ones that I
think people will go with because
there's not 100% faith in maybe sacka
starting and then just one more detailed
question that I'm being asked so much is
if you're 10 plus points behind in your
mini league what should you do so my
general piece of advice is for every
three points you're behind someone you
should have at least one player
different to the person you're trying to
catch so if you're three points behind
have one player different if you're two
you know if you're six points behind go
for two players different if you're nine
points behind go for three players
different or start to think about the
captaincy try and predict what they're
going to do don't just think oh I'm
going to do Gordon to Alis instead of
going havit but if they don't have a
route to havit then they might go Alis
as well try and predict what they're
going to do and make sure that your
transfers this week are different an
easy way to do it if you are 15 plus
points different is moving the CI arm
band to a player they don't own right so
for example taking a minus four to buy
Mo Salah I don't love but if you're 15
points behind and they won't own Salah
you suddenly not only have Salah as a
differential you have Salah captaincy as
a differential so try and predict what
they're going to do for every three
points or so you're behind maybe four
points depending on how lucky and how
different your squads are but every
three four points you are behind them
try and get one player different and try
and add that up so 15 points behind you
need four players or so different to
them to try and make up that ground but
what is worth bearing in mind and I
often offer this as a word of caution is
what happens if this goes wrong
are you at risk of falling further down
are you not going to get the rank that
you want so yes you might want to catch
your mini league rival yes you might
want to get to the rank but what happens
if you Captain salot and he blanks and
harand scores twice will you feel badly
about that so think a little bit about
the negatives and if you don't mind
about them and it's all about getting
that top spot getting that top 10K then
go for it and use some of these pointers
to try and get a little bit different on
the final day because crazy things
happen in gameweek 38 there's often a
lot of goals there's a lot of swings
there a lot of teams with nothing to
play for but some were sign to play for
so things and crazy things happen in
gameweek
38 then just having a look at my team
for gameweek 38 nothing really exciting
for me it's going to be Anthony Gordon
out I think to either Kai havit or Elis
interestingly both Manchester United and
Newcastle have put up training photos
today online and neither Bruno Fernandez
or Gordon are in either this happens all
the time that teams leave players out
there's definitely not every fully fit
player in those training photos either
either but just interesting that they
both weren't in there given that they
have been doubts over the past few games
I do expect both of them to start I
think Gordon to havit is most likely I
do Wonder still about starting Fernandez
over isach pretty sure it's going to be
porro on the bench though so Gordon to
HT and then it's just Fernandez or isak
to start in my team harling captain
Palmer Vice Captain all I'm hoping for
now is a little green arrow up to the
top 2K that is all I ask for just a
little green arrow I'm like 16 17 points
out outside the top 10K so that's not
reasonable not the most exciting week to
end the season but it's been a good
season nonetheless and I'm very happy
with it and I just want it to end on a
little bit of a
high and then very quickly of course the
deadline is on Sunday the deadline
stream will be slightly longer so 12:
midday until the 2:30 p.m. deadline
stream it is already scheduled so click
the link above to make sure you're
notified when that goes live don't make
your transfers unless you absolutely
have to until that stream because we
might get news because we might get
updates because we might get training
photos over the weekend where someone
trains someone doesn't so do your best
to hold on to your transfers going into
the deadline stream it will be on Sunday
it will be a good one the final one an
extra half an hour as well for two and a
half hours I will be there the final one
of the season and yeah I cannot
wait and normally we wrap up the final
decisions videos with the deadline
stream announcement and then we wait and
we go again next week but it's gameweek
38 there will not be more after this of
course we'll be back next season for
those you playing Euros fantasy we will
have some euros fantasy content as well
so you've only got to get rid of me
either for about a month if you're
playing Euros fantasy and maybe two
months if you're waiting till next
season but I cannot let the videos end I
cannot let the stream ends I'll say it
all again there without just saying an
absolutely massive thank you it's been
such an incredible season one that I
will never forget for the rest of my
life we've hit 100K followers on twitter
150k followers on Twitter we then hit
100K subscribers on YouTube which is
just just such an incredible dream come
true and every single one of you
watching has been a part of that and I
cannot say thank you enough this might
seem sofy this might seem cliche but
honestly it's been the most incredible
season I want to thank every single one
of you watching this that there'll be
some people who have dropped out who are
also contributing so if you come back
and watch this in a few months thank you
to you as well anyone who's clicked
liked subscribed and has been part of
the journey this season I cannot thank
you enough I've quit my job this is now
where we're at and we'll be back again
to do it all next season of course I got
engaged a couple of weeks ago and the
incredible kindness and comments I got
from that as well was so overwhelming so
thank you all so much I hope gameweek 38
goes the way you want it to if it
doesn't we'll be back again to do it all
over again next year and I hope we can
enjoy that and have as much sort of
success as we've had this year one final
time thank you so much for your support
this season good luck in gameweek 38 if
I don't see you before then hopefully
I'll see some of you on the stream and
I'll see you again next season
