Q & A
What is the main advice given for new gamers in the video?
-The main advice is to avoid building pity by not pulling on banners for characters you don't want, which can reset pity counters and potentially harm your account's long-term value.
What does 'building pity' mean in the context of the video?
-Building pity refers to the practice of pulling on a character's banner when you're not sure if you want that character, with the hope of getting an early copy of a different character you desire in the future.
What is a 'guarantee' in gacha games as mentioned in the video?
-A 'guarantee' is when you get an S-rank character from a limited banner that is not the limited character you initially pulled for, ensuring that your next S-rank character will be the limited character.
Why is it suggested not to pull on a limited banner if you have a guarantee?
-Pulling on a limited banner when you have a guarantee can result in getting an unwanted character early, which resets your pity counters and wastes your guarantee.
What is the significance of the statement 'characters require mindscapes or copies in order to be functional'?
-This statement is a myth debunked in the video, suggesting that it's not necessary for characters to have mindscapes or multiple copies to be effective in the game.
Why might a player choose to pull for a character despite not needing their mindscapes?
-A player might pull for a character for the A-rank characters or copies they provide, especially if they have a guarantee for the limited character and are satisfied with potentially getting that character early.
What is the advice for managing polychrome in gacha games?
-The advice is to be strategic with polychrome use, saving it for banners with characters you truly want, and not spending it impulsively on characters you don't need or want.
What is the importance of considering a character's utility before pulling for them?
-It's important to consider if a character will be an upgrade or fit well into your existing team before pulling for them to avoid wasting resources on characters that won't enhance your gameplay.
Why is it suggested to only use premium pulling currency on limited banners?
-Using premium currency on limited banners increases the chances of getting the desired limited character, whereas saving it can lead to accumulating enough for a guarantee on a future banner with a preferred character.
What is the final piece of advice given to players regarding their pulls?
-The final advice is to pull responsibly, considering the character's appeal and utility, and to plan for reruns as gacha games are a marathon, not a sprint.

🎮 Gacha Game Advice for Average Gamers
The script advises average gamers on how to approach the gacha game Zenless Zone Zero. It emphasizes the importance of not building pity, which means not pulling on banners for characters you don't want, as it can reset pity counters and potentially harm your account. The speaker explains the concept of a 'guarantee,' where after pulling an S-rank character from a limited banner, the next S-rank pull is guaranteed to be the featured character. The advice is targeted at new players and serves as a reminder for experienced ones, especially with new characters Chingy and Jano on the horizon.
🚫 Debunking Gacha Game Myths
This paragraph debunks common gacha game myths. It refutes the idea that characters require mindscapes or copies to be functional, calling it a joke made up by content creators who don't understand the game. The speaker asserts that any S-rank character should be functional at m0 (minimum level) and that chasing S-rank mindscapes early in the game's life cycle is not advisable for free-to-play or low-spending players. The focus is on understanding when to pull and when to save resources, with a reminder that gacha games are marathons, not sprints, and characters will rerun eventually.

Transcripts
this video is not for whales and
dolphins it's for you because you are
just like me average du gamer here and
today we're giving some good
oldfashioned advice about how to pull in
zenler zone zero if you two are an
average gamer now I've been seeing quite
a few comments and questions from people
who seem to be new to gater and this
video is mostly targeted at them but if
you've been around the gacha block so to
speak it still might be worth watching
because this is advice you need to hear
to be reminded of before new characters
Chingy and Jano drop let's call it a
mindset refresh plus some of this stuff
might be things that you don't know
let's start with the juiciest thing myth
number one don't build pity so I'm going
to say it building pity can hurt your
account if you do it wrong there are
ways to do it that can benefit your
long-term account value and ways to do
it that can harm your account and
potentially worst case turn you off the
game so by building pity what I mean is
pulling on a character's Banner when
you're not sure if you want that
character say we're on kyan's Banner
right now and let's say I really want to
chingi who's going to be coming up next
by pulling on Juan's Banner right now I
am baiting the game to give me an early
copy of juyuan which I don't want and
will then reset my pity counters now
there are times when building pity is
appropriate for example if I wasn't too
bothered about chingi coming next and I
really wanted Nicole mindscapes and I
wouldn't mind getting Jian but I'm not
sitting on a guarantee then I definitely
could as you can see that I have put a
few pulls in to see if I can get a copy
of Nicole because she's on M5 right now
and I definitely wasn't coerced by my
Discord Community telling me to pull for
Nicole constellations I definitely made
that decision all on my own now if you
don't want the character on bana though
you probably should just not be pulling
at all especially if you had a
guaranteed now just to clarify quickly
what do I mean by guarantee it's when
you get an S rank from The Limited
banner and it's not the limited
character that you pulled for at this
point your next character is then
guaranteed to be the limited character
and if you have enough polychrome you
could continue to spend them to get Jan
with that guarantee or if you don't
quite have enough and you don't quite
manage to get J Yuan with a 100%
guarantee of getting her in the 90 pulls
your guarantee will then carry over to
the next limited Banner character so
let's say you couldn't quite get enough
polychrome for ji1 that's okay
especially if you don't mind getting
jingy as when you do get enough you will
have carried over that guarantee that
you can now use on chingi or Jano or
Colonel vik or whatever you want moving
forward I just think it's important to
explain some gacha mechanics as we go as
I'm seeing quite a few comments from
people that seem like they are new to
GAA games with sess zero the summarize
on pity though it is okay to pull on
baners if you wouldn't mind The Limited
character appearing early and you want
the a ranks or copies of the a ranks if
you have the aformentioned guarantee
then you should probably just not pull
at all on the limited Banner unless you
would still be happy to get that limited
character let me give an example that
could have happened at the start of the
game you pulled for Ellen you lost your
50/50 couldn't get enough polychrome to
get her before the banner ended now
you're sitting on a bunch of polychrome
and you don't like the look of Jian
firstly you're crazy secondly that's
okay though but you should make the call
to not pull because if juian did show up
early you'd be devastated if you really
wanted Chingy or Jane and you wasted
that guarantee you'd probably be around
100 plus pulls because it's not just the
50 pulls you put in if you have
guarantee then you may have put 70 pulls
to lose a 50/50 let's say and then an
additional 40 to build pity and then
then you end up with an accidental
character that you didn't want so
practice some self-control and sit on
your guarantee until a character turns
up that you like before we move on to
numbers 2 and three I just like to
remind you that you're probably not
subscribed liking subscribing is the
best way to show small creators like me
your support thank you so much for all
the support so far getting 3,600
subscribers feels insane to me I
genuinely appreciate it myth number two
characters require mindscapes or copies
in order to be functional this is cope
made up by content creators who can't
play the game that's a joke by the way
now if an srank character isn't
functional m0 then hoo messed up and no
one should pull them anyway now
characters will naturally improve with
their mindscapes and some of them may
very well be considered broken in terms
of how good they are apparently Ellen's
M2 basically changes the character and
puts the game on easy mode but I'm not
here to talk about that the very idea
that a free-to-play or low span player
should be going for s-rank mindscapes
this early on in the game's life cycle
is bananas now once we get a couple of
years in and Ellen's on her second rerun
she's running with a new goated a rank
ey support and she's your favorite
character you use her all the time okay
now maybe it's worthwhile talking
mindscapes if you already have Ellen and
love playing her which brings us on to
talking about a rank characters
mindscapes now a ranks might see big
Buffs from getting some of their
mindscapes particularly at higher levels
but when we're talking about getting a
rank character mindscapes on every A-
rank pull there's a 25% chance of
getting a rank Ray Up characters when
you get at least one guaranteed a rank
within every 10 PS so on the current
Guan Banner that would be Nicole or bet
and if you want one of those then maybe
you should just do a few pulls but oh
that kind of butt just hold on to those
polychrome for a second because there's
there's no way to guarantee it which
means you could just get unlucky and not
get the copy you wanted even after doing
a bunch of pools but the key like with
building pity is knowing when to stop
honestly and I've been burned by this
before I would stop pulling after around
30 or 40 pulls I was only pulling on the
off chance of getting a copy of an a AR
he word there off chance the mindset
here should be uh well I'll put 30 PS in
and try and get a copy of Nicole and
that would be nice if srank comes early
that's okay as it's only 30 PS but you
should think of it as a nice to have and
not a necessity any character will still
be functional at lower or no mind scale
Apes now there are some characters
particularly at a rank or fourstar level
if we think about hoo's other games that
are actually broken at higher copy rates
and not that useful beforehand for
example farzan C6 and genin but when
we're talking about maximizing clear
times in a three-year-old game like
genin versus everyone is still figuring
out how the combat even works in zener
zone zero and if a broken character
releases next patch as a free-to-play or
low spend player I know I'd be kicking
myself if I dropped 70 pulls and got a
juyuan copy by accident and then
potentially leave me in a spot where I
didn't have enough for go lastly myth
number three pull who you want which is
true but think about your use case
before pulling a character now are you
planning on adding them into an existing
team who are they replacing is it a big
enough upgrade with all the Chingy
pre-release info currently you should
ask questions on if she's actually
enough of an upgrade over Ambi the
character will still look cool they
always do hoo is great at this they sell
you on the agent's story it's heartfelt
and touching or cute and adorable they
release a trailer to get everyone hyped
up for the new character look at Juan's
pre-release trailer and you really don't
have to look long to see how well hoyo
stands their fan base this is 3 seconds
in by the way they want you to not have
enough poly chrom Reserve but to really
want the character that's how they make
money now I've talked about the whale
stuff before whales if you're still here
thank you for supporting the game but
for us average luck Gamers who just want
to enjoy the game while being free to
play or low spending monthly membership
or maybe even battle pass occasional
players it's probably not sustainable to
be dropping additional topups every
patch to get all of the characters now
you could get lucky and get every
character you want but the reality of
average luck is that you may have to
miss out on a couple and remember Gachet
games are marathons and not Sprints
character will rerun eventually and
you'll get to shoot your shot I guess
the point of this message is think about
if you're pulling to make a specific
team does that character help you or if
you're just sing and it's okay to
collect your wuss just plan for it so
that you can enjoy the game in a way
that doesn't leave you with a bad taste
in your mouth after you just had to
drop1 to make it happen it's a mindset
adjustment for some if you don't have
enough polychrome just trug it off you
will get there eventually they will rer
just quickly as I mentioned not pulling
for chingi if you like Chingy and you're
okay with potentially not having quite
enough for a fure your character then go
for it don't feel like you have to be a
slave to a meta and do what everyone
else is doing it's your polychrome you
saved it you want to use it then use it
I guess this applies to all my points
but I think it's fun to consider how to
best optimize my PS to maximize my team
building efficiency if you just want to
collect characters that appeal to you
then go for it it's a game have fun I'd
also mention as well seeing as I
mentioned other games earlier team
building is going to be more cost
effective in zener zone zero in
comparison to genin or honkai Star rail
as the drop rates are the same but you
only need three characters on a team as
opposed to four in both genin and star
rail I'm not singing hoo's prices over
here for this is the drop rates still
aren't great but getting three
characters for your team with the same
drop rates as games where you need four
characters for your teams is actually
going to make team building faster for
us free-to-play or low spend players so
in a few months you'll have three or
more limited S ranks and some great team
potential and then you'll end up in the
dis farming endgame loop with the
freedom to pull for anyone that looks
cool to you but there really is no rush
to get there oh and bonus advice would
be to use your premium pulling currency
only on The Limited banners if you don't
like the character on Banner then save
the currency the game will continue you
to give out standard P are free and
you'll get to 300 eventually to
guarantee ly or whoever it is you want
yeah I said it right I just remember the
pronunciation is the same as like And
subscribe to support small creators like
me so to summarize the advice off the
back of the myths number one building
pity is a lie told by people who can't
control themselves if an srank character
showed up in 30 pools no one would be
upset about it number two mindscapes may
as well not exist for srank characters
and number three think before you P so
what do you guys think let me know in
the comments below veterans how do you
make Po decisions and newbies was this
helpful also if you're wondering about
who Colonel vik is after I mentioned her
earlier then check out the video on
screen now lastly then as always pull
responsibly and don't forget to like And
subscribe for better than average luck
on your next polls bye byebye
