and chapter one onwards we were

reflecting from yesterday there before

yesterday started and we continued

reflecting about it and when we speak

about these judges the leaders of Israel

they are not officially national leaders

of all Israel

they are not successors of royal family

they are not elected leaders they are

not selected leaders

they are just chosen by God Whenever

there was a need in the country

therefore there was no literally there

was no leadership for the whole Israel

whenever the whole country or maybe some

tribes out of tall tribes any One Tribe

faced some crisis suddenly God lift one

leader from that tribe when another

tribe find a crisis face a crisis the

Lord lift one leader from that tribe

and there is specialty for this

leadership these leaders suddenly they

come up

and they do their Duty and they

disappear

and their children are not known their

parents are not known they come do their

Duty finish their Ministry go back

disappear that's how the judges were

seen there is no success succession

there is no continuation of this

leadership

so it is like they were totally

depending on God and God raised correct

leadership in the correct time just to

protect the people and these leaders

whom who are selected need not be the

perfect leaders they all have their own

the whole tribe he's not one person

speaking to another person the tribe of

that is what is mentioned there so tribe

the territory allotted to me

that we may fight against the Canaanites

then I too will go with you into the

help each other we will support each

you come with me and I will come with

so this is a kind of a intercession

asking the help support from each other

this is how the church should work

any church which is dependent on God

total dependent on God will work like

these because we are all part of one

body

they cannot exist individually different

tribes cannot exist by itself they all

have to depend depend on each other and

that is why the tribe of Judah spoke to

tribe of Simeon and asked for a help and

let's read verse 4.

then Judah went up the tribe of Judah

and the parasites into their hand and

they defeated ten thousand of them at

so mighty brothers and sisters the Lord

then the Judah went up Judah means is

not one person went up it is the whole

tribe went up so then Judah went up and

and the lord gave the Canon eyes and the

parasites into their hand God gave them

up God gave all the enemies in their

hand why why did God give them

why did God allow them to be victorious

because they sought God they they were

seeking God

cannot say to the hand I have no need of

you nor again the head to the feet I

have no need of you the I cannot work

the head cannot work alone the feet

cannot work alone therefore the eye

suppose somebody is attacking something

is coming straight to your eyes

and the eyes cannot just just because I

closed his eyes doesn't mean it will be

protected the hand should come and block

therefore we need to support each other

so that's how the church works and

that's how the early Israelites worked

when Judah went Simeon helped when

Simeon went help Judah helped and all

the tall tribes helped

and then verse 22 we read like these

verse 22.

on the contrary the members of the body

that seemed to be weaker are

indispensable some members of our body

seem to be weak but they are

indispensable everyone is important in

the body verse 23

and those members of the body that we

think less honorable

we clothe with greater honor we have

certain body parts which we consider

dirty or Eve or not less honorable but

we clothe with greater honor

every part of our body is important we

cannot deny something or some part of

our body Unholy or unclean or dirty or

useless or and all these things every

member of our body is Holy and good and

needed and are less respectable members

are treated with greater respect

verse 24 we read like these

whereas our more respectable members do

not need this but God has so arranged

the body giving the greater honor to the

inferior member

God has arranged the whole body as if

every part has got its its play its role

to play it was 25.

that there may be no dissension within

the body

but the members may have the same care

for one another

so there should one body cannot declare

fasting one suddenly or maybe one part

of the body cannot declare uh you know

today is a half day they can't declare

the whole body works together

with common good with common intention

and verse 26 we read like this

if one member suffers all suffer

lightning the basic means lightning

so there is a there was a king called

adoni basic adoni besek means a lord of

lightning

so we are going to read verse 5 let's

and fought against him

and defeated the Canaanites and

parasites they came and defeated

the name meaning the Lord of lightning

because he considered himself as a God

himself he considered himself as the

Lord

and he was so cruel

and then we read verse 6. adoni basic

fled

but they pursued him

and caught him

and cut off his thumbs and big toes

many brothers and sisters he looks like

so cruel you know when adoni basic the

king of basic and his name is Lord of

lightning when he accepted the defeat he

ran away when he ran away this Judah and

Simeon the whole Army of Judah and

Simeon they chased chased this King and

they caught him and they cut off his

never do battle again and this is what

he did but looks like so cruelty but at

the same time let's read verse 7.

then the Lord then this Lord of

self-proclaimed God he said

70 Kings with their thumbs and big toes

scraps under my table as I have done so

God has paid me back

see why did Judah and Simeon happen to

do these cruelty to him it is because of

his own sin he is going through the

consequence of it

the circumstances made him to go through

all these things

otherwise God will never allow these

kinds of things to heal anyone it

happens because his own sin followed him

he cut off the thumbs and Toes of 70

Kings

as there is and they used to pick a

scraps under his table now as he has

done it is done to him

every sin that we do commit today

tomorrow it will come back to us

God says for the day of the Lord is near

against all the nations as you have done

he cut off the toes and and the thumbs

of 70 Kings and it happened back to him

and let's read verse 7 of Judges chapter

1 verse 7.

so at 70 Kings with their thumbs and big

under my table as they have done God has

paid me back they brought him to

Jerusalem and he died there he died in

Jerusalem Mighty brothers and sisters

many a times these kings are destroyed

and killed in front of Israelites not

because God was showing partiality to

Israel but because these Kings were

and they are bad God is chasing everyone

sometimes you can see the Philistines

coming and destroying Israel

the church will be all don't ever say

times in the Book of Judges and the same
