The 3 RULES For ESCAPING Low Elo (Immortal 3 Guide)
Summary
TLDRThis video script offers a guide for low ELO Valorant players seeking to improve their rank. The speaker, an Immortal 3 player, identifies three key rules for escaping low ELO: mastering mechanics like aim and gun control, dedicating focused practice hours, and avoiding distractions by focusing on fundamentals. The script emphasizes the importance of self-analysis and consistency in practice, suggesting that improvement comes from persistent, methodical work rather than chasing the latest trends or gear.
Takeaways
- 🎯 **Mechanics are crucial**: The primary factor distinguishing high and low ELO players in Valorant is their mechanical skill, including aim, crosshair placement, peeking, and gun control.
- 📈 **Practice outside competitive play**: The best place to practice these mechanics is not in competitive games but in other game modes like the range, deathmatch, and aim trainers.
- 🕹️ **Aim training**: Aim trainers are particularly effective for new FPS players to improve mouse control, with a recommendation to play 30 minutes daily.
- 🔫 **Deathmatch for mechanics**: Deathmatch is considered the best mode to practice all mechanics, using the main gun and focusing on perfect crosshair placement and peeking.
- 🗺️ **Map familiarity**: Playing deathmatch helps in learning common angles and spots on maps, which translates into better performance in competitive games.
- ⚖️ **Balance deathmatch and competitive play**: A good practice ratio is one deathmatch for every competitive game played to ensure constant improvement.
- 💪 **Commitment to improvement**: High ELO players invest focused hours into the game, striving to win every match and analyzing mistakes for improvement.
- 🤯 **Avoid autopilot mode**: Simply playing many games without focus won't lead to improvement; it's the intensity of focus during those hours that counts.
- 🔍 **Self-analysis**: Being honest with oneself about mistakes and areas for improvement is essential, rather than blaming others for losses.
- 🚫 **Don't major in minor things**: Low ELO players often focus on less important aspects like settings and gear, which are less impactful compared to fundamentals.
- 🔄 **Consistency is key**: Sticking to one gun, a few agents, and consistent settings allows for focused improvement on high-impact skills like mechanics and decision-making.
- 🥊 **Professional discipline**: Like professional athletes, consistent and repetitive practice of the fundamentals over time leads to significant skill improvement.
Q & A
What are the three main rules for escaping low ELO in Valorant according to the video?
-The three main rules are: 1) Mechanics are everything, emphasizing the importance of aim, crosshair placement, peeking, and gun control. 2) Putting in focused work, which means playing with intensity and analyzing games to improve. 3) Stopping to focus on things that don't matter, such as changing settings or equipment frequently, and instead focusing on the fundamentals.
Why are mechanics considered the most important factor in differentiating high ELO and low ELO players in Valorant?
-Mechanics are crucial because they allow a player to eliminate enemies faster than they are eliminated, which directly contributes to winning more games. Even if a player makes poor strategic decisions, having superior mechanics can compensate for those mistakes in lower ELO ranks.
What are the four mechanics that the video suggests players should focus on improving?
-The four mechanics to focus on are aim, crosshair placement, peeking, and gun control. These are the foundational skills that directly impact a player's ability to win gunfights in the game.
What is the recommended place to practice these mechanics according to the video?
-The video recommends practicing these mechanics in game modes other than competitive, such as the range, deathmatch, and aim trainers, as these modes allow for focused practice without the pressure of a ranked game.
Why does the video suggest playing aim trainers like aim Labs for 30 minutes each day?
-Playing aim trainers for 30 minutes daily helps isolate and improve mouse control, which is essential for FPS games. It's an effective way for newer players to develop their aim and overall control.
What is the video's stance on using aim trainers as a warm-up versus playing them at the end of competitive sessions?
-The video suggests that while some people use aim trainers as a warm-up, the speaker personally prefers playing aim Labs at the end of competitive sessions and sticking to an in-game warm-up with deathmatch or a combination of both.
Why is deathmatch considered the best place to practice all mechanics in Valorant?
-Deathmatch is considered the best place to practice because it uses the same map pool as competitive games, allowing players to learn common angles and spots. It also provides constant gunfights, which help improve aim, mouse control, and gun control.
What is the recommended ratio of deathmatches to competitive games for focused practice?
-The video suggests a 1:1 ratio of deathmatches to competitive games. If a player plays six competitive games in a day, they should also play six deathmatches to maintain and improve their mechanics.
What does the video mean by 'putting the work in' and why is it important for improvement?
-The video emphasizes that 'putting the work in' means not only playing a lot of hours but also maintaining intense focus during those hours. It involves trying hard to win each game, analyzing mistakes, and being honest with oneself about areas of improvement.
Why should players avoid focusing on minor details like mouse sensitivity or resolution settings?
-Focusing on minor details can be distracting and does not contribute to the fundamental skills needed for improvement. The video suggests that the most efficient way to improve is through consistent practice of the basics, similar to how professional athletes train.
What advice does the video give for players who are serious about improving in Valorant?
-The video advises players to practice the fundamentals every day for extended periods, avoid being easily distracted by flashy or unimportant aspects of the game, and maintain a consistent approach to settings and playstyle to focus on high-impact skills like mechanics and decision-making.

Transcripts
so I'm an immortal 3 player and I
started this channel around a month ago
since then I've spoken to and coached a
few of you guys in my Discord and the
same problems keep coming up each time
so I'm making this video as a guide to
cover the common problems I see that are
keeping lower ELO players stuck in their
rank so without further Ado these are
the three rules for escaping low ELO
rule number one mechanics are everything
the number one thing separating High ELO
and low ELO valerant players is
mechanics you could be brain dead
constantly take bad fights and never
play with your team but if you had
Immortal level mechanics you would win
almost every game in low ELO if you're
able to eliminate enemies faster than
they eliminate you then you're going to
win more games it's as simple as that
the four mechanics you should be paying
the most attention to are your aim
Crosshair placement peaking and gun
control the best place to practice these
mechanics isn't inside of competitive
games it's inside of other game modes
such as the range deathmatch and aim
trainers let's start off with aim and I
want to preface this with saying I'm not
an expert aim trainer but if you're
newer to FPS games then you likely don't
have very good Mouse control I believe
this is where aim trainers have the most
Effectiveness playing 30 minutes of aim
Labs each day I isolates the skill of
controlling your mouse and when I was
new to valerant I played a decent amount
each day during my early days in
valerant I only played grid shot but I
would not recommend that I would
recommend playing the Vol take valerant
benchmarks on the novice mode and I'll
put a link to those in the description
some people use aim trainers as a
warm-up but personally I prefer playing
aim Labs at the end of my comp sessions
and sticking to a warm-up that's in game
either with the or death match or a
combination of both speaking of
Deathmatch I believe this to be the best
place to practice all of your mechanics
when playing Deathmatch I'd recommend
you to use your main gun so either the
Vandal or the Phantom and put all of
your focus on having perfect Crosshair
placement and perfect Peaks Deathmatch
uses the same map Pool as your comp
games which means you get to learn all
of the common angles and spots on these
Maps if you play death match with 100%
focus on your Crosshair placement and
Peaks that's going to translate into the
real game and you're going to find
yourself being able to frag out much
more easily as a byproduct you're also
going to improve your aim since you're
constantly getting into gun fights and
having to practice your mouse control
and you're also going to gain a better
understanding of how to control your gun
and start to understand when it's best
to burst spray or tap do not neglect
death match I would say a good ratio of
death matches to competitive games is 1
to one so if you played six competitive
games in a day you should also have
played six death matches that day this
is what I did when I was first climbing
through the ranks and it served me well
rule two you have to put the work in a
lot of people have a goal of being high
Rel low but they don't put the working
to get it and I'm not only talking about
the hours played when I say to put the
work in I mean the amount of hours spent
on valerant multiplied by the intensity
of your focus it's super easy to queue
up eight games a day shut your brain off
and go into autopilot mode but this will
keep you stuck forever you have to put
the hours in but they have to be focused
hours you want to squeeze as much value
as possible from the time that you spend
on valerant and you do this by trying
your absolute hardest to win every game
analyzing why things went wrong and
figuring out what you could have done
better this means that you have to be
brutally honest with yourself it feels
good to blame other people for losing
games but it's not good for your
improvement you're just being a slave to
your
emotions people will come to me and tell
me they really want to improve yet they
blame being unlucky or blame their team
for everything in a losing game you died
multiple times you likely made made many
huge mistakes and you probably played
versus enemies who are better than you
you get given tens maybe even hundreds
of data points pointing out the flaws in
your game play and you spend your
limited energy to blame other people
instead of using that energy to analyze
the faults in your game play and improve
it does not make
sense rule three stop focusing on things
that don't matter too many low ELO
players decide to Major in the minor
things they see Pros switching sense and
switching Mouse every game and think if
they do the same thing then they're
going to start hitting shots like pros
the c10s use stretched res and think if
their resolution is a little bit more
stretched maybe then they'll be able to
top frag but that's not how it works the
most efficient way to improve isn't sexy
it isn't flashy it's doing the same
things over and over again for a long
time this means choosing one gun either
the Vandal or Phantom and sticking with
it this means picking one or two agents
that are similar to each other and
sticking with those this means choosing
good settings and sticking with them
every game by keeping these variables
constant it means you can focus on the
high impact skills such as your
mechanics and decision making all of
your focus needs to be on the
fundamentals of valerant think about
professional boxers they have been
training since they were children and
they do the exact same things every week
they throw the same six punches every
day they do their push-ups they do their
skipping and they do the running the
ones who do that every day for a long
period of time become very skilled at
boxing and it's no different inv
valerant leave the flashy stuff to the
pros who are bored and not taking ranked
seriously and to the people trying to
make flick montages for Tik Tok if
you're serious about improving practice
the fundamentals every day for weeks at
a time and you will be shocked at how
fast you improve once you stop being
ADHD brained and start focusing on what
really matters if you like the video you
can subscribe and if you'd like
one-on-one coaching you can click the
