saying I shouldn't have to have multiple

streams of income in order to survive

companies should just do the right thing

pay me correctly and never lay me off

but the reality is is that that's

probably not very realistic and almost

every one of us will have at least one

unplanned income disruption in our

careers so if you want to take control

back in your career one of the very best

things that you can be doing is focusing

on building multiple streams of income

and I want to clarify that the goal

should be to have at least two different

ways to pay for all of your living

expenses not just relying on a single

income and I know that every time I

mention this there's inevitably going to

be some people who will roll their eyes

and say not everybody's cut out to come

up with multiple streams of income we

don't have any good ideas or I'm not

capable of doing it so I wanted to give

you an example of an idea that anybody

can do that's very simple and can be

very lucrative if you put a little bit

of elbow grease into it now keep in mind

this is not zero effort you will have

have to put a little bit of time and

energy into it and it's not a get-rich

quick scheme in fact if anybody promises

you a lucrative side hustle without

doing anything in return you should be

extremely skeptical and all your red

flags should be going off but I want to

walk you through step by step on how to

set this up so that you can get started

today and the best part about it is that

it's minimal out- of pocket cost to get

going and just as an FYI because I

believe so strongly in multiple streams

below now the concept here is going to

be setting up an online store on Etsy

and then providing a dropshipping

service to a targeted group of clients

or customers so if you're not familiar

with what Drop Shipping is it's

basically putting a design or a logo on

some product like a t-shirt a coffee mug

a mouse pad an iPhone case Etc and then

reselling it and having the vendors do

all the work for you so you're not

holding any inventory you're not

physically shipping out any products

you're basically letting these systems

and services do it all for you of course

they're going to take their cut of it so

you want to make sure that you're

choosing at least a lucrative enough

product that will get you a profit

margin that you feel comfortable with

but the good news is once you get it set

up it's relatively self-running and all

you got to do is get the customers to

actually see your products that's a

little bit of the tricky part and

probably where most of your effort will

be spent but the actual setting up of

your storefront and getting products

linked to it is relatively easy and I

want to show you how to do that today

okay so first things first let's go and

set up an account with printify and

printify is going to be the hub for

everything that we do if you're not

familiar with what printify does they

are the Drop Shipping Company that we'll

use they're going to handle all of the

order procurement they're going to

actually ship everything off for you you

won't really have to touch anything

after you make the designs and just do a

few tweaking and set your prices and

that sort of thing and the great thing

about printify is they they have an

entire course catalog of productss to

choose from and they directly integrate

with Etsy Shopify and a bunch of other

online retailers and so you can handle

all of your order procurement and

pushing out your listings directly from

the printify platform so go ahead and

set up your free account there all right

so now that we have our free printify

account set up the next thing we want to

do is get our first product launched so

we have to decide what we want to design

and what we want to sell so I would

start by just going to Etsy and seeing

what products are on offer and what

prices they're selling for for so if you

just head over to Etsy and you just

search for let's just say for the sake

of this example I'm going to look at

coffee

mugs and I might just scroll through and

get an idea of what designs seem to be

selling well and we also want to factor

in the cost of good sold here we want to

make sure that our profit margins aren't

too tight and in this case this cup for

example is has 7,200 reviews which means

to me that's probably selling pretty

decently and you can put a customized

photo on it and they're selling it for

$14 there's one that's just with words

that's a $6.7 so that one's pretty

inexpensive but we might want to just

scroll around and get an idea of what

similar coffee mugs might be selling for

here's one for

1664 it's looks like it's gotten a lot

of reviews as well and some motivational

one here that's uh got uh some funny one

here with racco with 3,000 reviews and

it selling for 14 so I think around5 to6

$17 is probably a reasonable price point

for these these mugs so let's go back to

printify and let's create our first

product so in this case I'm going to go

to catalog and I'm going to click on

mugs and I'm going to just choose this

one right here and it looks like the

price is

$461 so with if I can sell it for $15

minus the

$461 plus the other Associated fees

there should still be some profit margin

this oneth might still be worth doing if

I can come up with a clever design so

let's go ahead and start designing this

one now you can design your product

directly in printify which is what we're

going to do here but we can also use a

place like canva.com or if you're good

at Photoshop you can design there and

just import your graphics but in this

case just to make it easy we're just

going to create right in the printify

platform and you got a bunch of

different options over here Graphics

that you can insert if you wanted to um

you could go and find some stock art if

you wanted to as well maybe from one of

the free clip art sites um in this case

I have a particular design that I want

to use so I'm just going to go and

upload my design from my

device all right so now we've got a

Robocop mug I'm going to go ahead and

change the title to

RoboCop mug and you might want to change

your description as well and here you

can sign shipping profiles if you want

to ship for free for example or you can

also change your pricing and we probably

want to change pricing because they're

going to automatically set a suggested

price in this case it's $102 which gives

us a $4 profit margin but again we have

to factor in that Etsy is going to take

a cut and we have to make sure that

there's enough meat on the bone here in

order to make this worth our while so we

want to go and be consistent with what

we saw on our Etsy price research so

let's just say we're going to sell this

for

$15 and we can also see what our profit

if we want to set a certain profit

margin per unit but in this case I'm

just going to set

$15 and then everything will sync once

you hit the publish button and then you

can order a sample if you like okay so

now we've got our first product let's

get it set up on Etsy so we can actually

start selling so you want to head over

to Etsy and set up a free account and if

you're not sure how to set up your Etsy

site pry actually has some really great

resources that walk you step by step

through how to do that so go and set up

your Etsy site first and then we're

going to go ahead and connect our

printify site to talk to our Etsy site

so we can get that product

online so in this case we just want to

go ahead and click connect to Etsy and

then we want to put in our credentials

and as I head over to Etsy I can see

that my RoboCop mug is now showing up on

my storefront ready to sell now I'll

have to do a few other things first

before I can actually publish this

inside of etsy I have to get some

credentials and my payment information

set up but nonetheless prfi has made it

super easy and now I just got to start

getting some people to see my products

and if you're somebody that's wondering

well what kind of products should I sell

I would suggest starting with maybe a

hobby that you're really passionate

about if you're somebody that's really

into fly fishing for example create some

products around fly fishing and then try

to go and find where those people hang

out online and start posting content so

that they come and find you and they see

these products and then you can start

marketing to them that way and the nice

thing here is that I don't have to do

anything with this mug once somebody

orders it printify will automatically

take and process the order and then ship

it off for them and I just collect the

revenue okay so we have our Etsy store

up and running and we've got our first

product listed on there what I would do

now is start to expand your product

listings come up with a different

product blend so you might want to try a

few different product types that are all

within the same family and after that

it's a matter of just getting the

traffic to your site so that people

start to buy your products and that's

probably going to be the hardest part

and it's just a matter of consistency

and I personally think the best way to

do that is to start a social media

presence create a YouTube channel or a

Tik Tok or you could create a Pinterest

or even a Facebook page and try to

attract people people who are interested

in the same things that you are as far

as your products are concerned and keep

in mind that consistency is key here you

don't have to have a huge following you

don't have to have a ton of followers

you don't have to get a ton of views in

order to start generating sales but if

you want to maximize your returns here

it's best to focus on a niche where you

know that there's a lot of passionate

people who might be interested in your

products so if I was stuck on a side

hustle this is the one that I would

start with and who knows with a little

bit of time a little bit of energy put

behind it you could find yourself with a

very powerful Niche and potentially

replacing your income pretty quickly so
