Transcripts
so things do not have to be perfect for
them to be amazing and this is so
important because especially in higher
education I think about this a lot
because I work and teach in higher ed
and we're so used to chasing the a right
like things have to be an A or an A+ if
we put them out in the world and the
reality is in Business and
Entrepreneurship very few things leave
the gate perfectly in fact they're not
supposed to because you have to test you
have to Pivot you have to adjust you
have to assess you have to look at it
and say okay how do we make it better
and sometimes you don't even know how
you can make it better until you see it
out into the world so it's like how many
times do we hold ourselves back cuz
we're chasing Perfection when we really
need to be taking action and then
chasing continuous Improvement so
especially as you go into your week
think about something you might be
waiting on or holding back doing or
telling yourself I can't quite get this
done because it has to be perfect or I
haven't edited this book or I haven't
reviewed this paper right or I don't
know if I can jump into my degree
program at Walsh cuz I don't know if I'm
ready well let me tell you entrepreneurs
leaders they never act when they're
ready because you never feel ready to do
something that's big and the next big
leadership leap in your life you always
feel pulled forward so if you're waiting
to feel ready or confident you'll never
feel that that comes after like
confidence is the byproduct of taking
action and moving the needle so if
you've been on the fence about a degree
you're just not sure if now is the right
time that tells you it is that's that
not ready feeling but that calm in that
innate pull forward that you know you're
meant to play a bigger game you're meant
for more in the world and so consider
that consider when you feel those things
coming up in your life in your
leadership with your school with
whatever program Dive Right In because
that's the Hallmark of high performers
they don't wait for when they're
confident confidence comes after they
take action to move the needle in their
life
