We met through a mutual friend at university. Milan kept messaging me for two to three years, and at first, I wasn't interested. But eventually, we became friends, and after a couple of years, we went on our first date. My first impression of Milan was that he had a great nose, and he was thinner than me at the time.

What was your first date like?

Our first date was at a mall where we ate pizza, went to the cinema, and then had coffee at Starbucks. Milan gave me a necklace as a gift. It was a simple but memorable date.

What made you want to pursue a relationship after being friends for so long?

I think after spending a lot of time talking as friends, I started to realize there might be something more. Milan was persistent, and even though I wasn't responding to his messages, he kept trying. Eventually, I thought, 'Why not give it a try?'

How did you handle long-distance while Milan was in America?
