Ty is like during the low season well
here we're going to find out as we've
just arrived in kolanta we come here
from Krabi it took us three hours it
cost us 600 baht
and we're here for two nights
if you want to see what we got up to on
Rayleigh beach in crabbing then check
out the other videos that are on the
channel just go to our hotel room and
it's costing us 500 bar online
and this little kitchen
big room in this leave it under the
fishes oh a balcony yeah
oh lovely little bath for me
some blue skies as well
very nice
the bathroom as well
beautiful we've run into our scooter and
it cost us 150 Baht per day pretty
standard well that kind of towards the
cheaper end of the scale that we've got
so far
this is
a little stop some lunches we haven't
eaten today yet and I've got a pad thai
and vegetable oil pretty much a shrimp
has thyroid yeah nervous products
looks like a bad guy but yeah it must be
slightly different and what they like
100 bought each or something like that
80 by 18. that food was delicious I
couldn't tell you what it's called but
yeah maybe Thai fan
lovely this is klondell Beach and let's
go for a dip
[Music]
the features good but that's to take a
quick tropical break as it started
raining
as the September weather for you the
rain is hard and we come to a little uh
bar on the beach for the sunset a couple
of beers and Beth obviously made another
friend
we've also made some Thai friends as
well that have invited us around for
dinner tomorrow night so yeah we'll see
how that goes
beautiful
what a beautiful sunset and we've pretty
much got the picture itself there was no
one on it on here earlier and there's a
few people now this is the most it's
been all day though
about 10 people in total and it's the
most it's been since we've been here for
a few hours so yeah it's pretty mental
Beth the Dog Whisperer
[Music]
thank you
[Music]
beautiful weather this morning in
kalanta about the plan today is that
there is no plan we've got our scooter
and we're just gonna ride and see where
the road takes us just explore the
island you know
this is Beth's first time riding the
scooter
because we've been Wonder to have a go
since we got here so
before we get her on it and some
controlled conditions
so first stop is for some breakfast and
we come to Lazy Bird Cafe
let's see what they got to offer I've
got a bacon and fried egg with pesto on
sourdough
and vegetable and foreign
which I've been wanting to try so yeah
it looks juicy yeah I don't want to ruin
it
oh that food was absolutely banging best
smoothie Bowl was I'm real and my
passive eggs were proper decent I would
say yeah
out of ten yeah I would say it's
slightly more spinny than what we've
been paying for breakfast it was 580 in
total we've come to Hong Kong Beach and
when I was doing my research for kalanta
I said that this was a fairly lively
place and there's loads of like beach
bars and fire shows at night and stuff
like that but just like yesterday when
we were out everywhere kind of is pretty
much abandoned like look at all these
like restaurants or bars on the beach
and it's just darling like there is
literally not a lot of life here during
the low season when we were talking to
that uh Thai couple at the beach bar
yesterday they said yeah during the high
season it gets really really busy and
then low season it's just really really
empty so it seems to go from one extreme
to the other which is the first time we
kind of noticed it really as on all the
other Islands even during the low season
seem to be like fairly busy there's a
bit of a shop really I just look at this
place
called Bibi and
yeah it's literally
nothing here just looks like they have
all just packed up for the low season
it would be really interesting to come
in in the High season and see this Place
busy or just what it's actually like
because I just couldn't imagine that
this place is going to be around full of
people to be honest but we're not
complaining that we get these features
to ourselves exactly
it definitely is nice to calm and not be
absolutely ridiculously Ram so yeah I
can't complain just a bit of a shot
really but I walk up and down the beach
and it seems like there's more going on
on like the north side of the beach
they've got more like bars and
restaurants up here there was a Barbara
Park it's called like a thinstone bar
that's about a fire show I don't know
whether they've got it on like during
the low season or not but
yeah they said that that got on that
live sports and stuff like that so yeah
the north side of the beach probably be
a little bit more lively I think now
come to a little like coffee shop and
bakery which is you know just in the
jungle rooms coffee and bakery
it's got lovely homemade cakes
apparently
on top
cake has been served
delicious well that was just delicious
and it's run by a cute little couple
and they're both so friendly and US
feels like we were just sitting on the
sofa in their home have a little chat
with me having a good old natter over a
bit of a cake and coffee Island as well
yeah oh and yeah we had two coffees two
bits of cake and a little bag of cookies
and obviously all the other
complimentary stuff and it was 290 baht
in total Great Value very good value for
money big thumbs up from us yeah
oh
[Music]
we've arrived at Nui Bay
got a little walk down this hill from
where we parked our scooter
[Music]
okay and this is the woman who worked in
the Cake Shop she said it was her
favorite Beach on the island I could see
one sounds nice and soft and it looks
good and a lot with every bridge you've
been to so far on polenta there is
nobody here it's just us we've got the
Beast of ourselves
you're keeping up with the abandoned
theme for the week and it is a little
abandoned Chef on the beach got a little
restaurant for the door but there is a
padlock on it and
through here I don't know I guess is
maybe a little bar area
probably got Manchester there
smoke weed live better and fly
get that tattooed on you
[Music]
so now in the old town it's got a bit of
a European vibe to it and as usual Beth
is on the hunt for jewelry
is her natural habitat
after practicing for her performance and
she got drunk tonight
oh maybe we can start the band sorry if
you play the Frog and I'll and I'll play
this yeah
[Music]
it is absolutely hammering it down so
there is only one thing we could have
done and that is get Monopoly dealer
and some apple margaritas
so when we were at the bar watching the
sunset last night we made friends with a
lovely Thai couple that are from kolanta
and they invited us to their home for
dinner tonight so here is now hello
people yeah I love from Thailand yeah
yeah hello from kalanta
yeah so we've been made some lovely food
it's like a coconut soup
delicious
so she's currently making
such a good washer upper
yeah get a haircut now when you sleep
then one cover this looks one shot
in Thailand you don't get rizzla it is
what was it called Palm leaves yeah
professional just a few yeah
so her son grows his own weed
this is the entire taste good Tire
spliff yeah Thai special plant yeah it's
come from
far away from the jungle yeah and yeah
some holding travels down to our planet
so now we split
so night has been so kind of to let me
show you his home and this is what sixty
thousand pounds can get you in a
Thailand Island so this is kind of like
I know a second bedroom or you have it
as like a living room I'm thinking maybe
like TV over there and like a TV on the
wall or something on the bed
the unreal
and this is another bedroom
nice bed in there and wardrobe aircon as
well
no
[Music]
foreign
this is unbelievable 60 000 pounds I
can't believe it
we're evident now we're talking
wow what an experience that was last
night me and Beth both had such a good
time and it was so cool to meet nine hip
and for them to invite us into their
home and cook us food and have beers
with us and have a party and Beth also
got a haircut so that's Happy Days
honestly they were so so nice and at
nine hip if you're watching this then
thank you so much for inviting us into
your home we really appreciate it
the colanta as an island is absolutely
beautiful all the beaches are stunning
the food is really really nice all the
people were so friendly and they
couldn't have done more for us uh the
one that's kind of strange thing is it
does feel abandoned during low season
we've come in September and we pretty
much had like beaches and bars and
restaurants to ourselves you see in the
previous Clips walking along the beach
and yeah it just looked abandoned there
is not much life down there at all it
would be really cool to come back during
the high season to see it a little bit
busier and obviously more tourists there
so the island can make some money
so we're just waiting to avoid our speed
boat from kalanta to PP that is the next
destination on our trip and if you want
to see what we're going to get up to in
PP then make sure you subscribe and if
you want to see what else we've got up
to in Southeast Asia then make sure you
check out the other videos that are on
the channel
