😀 The Struggle and Recovery from Suicidal Thoughts
The speaker shares personal experiences with suicidal thoughts during the rise of COVID-19, noting a significant increase in suicide attempts worldwide. They emphasize their journey of recovery, which took about a year, and highlight the importance of combating such thoughts with effective strategies. The speaker plans to share four life-saving steps, beginning with the need to rebuke suicidal thoughts in the name of Jesus, referencing John 10:10. They explain the spiritual battle against demonic influences that seek to steal, kill, and destroy, urging immediate prayer and reliance on God's protection.
🌟 Exposing the Darkness and Seeking Help
The speaker emphasizes the importance of exposing dark, suicidal thoughts by sharing them with trusted individuals, such as therapists, pastors, or family members. They encourage finding a local church or counselor and stress the urgency of seeking help if no one is available. This step involves continuous exposure of these thoughts until recovery begins, and may include seeking medication under professional guidance if necessary. The speaker advises against relying solely on friends and emphasizes professional support for significant improvement.
🔑 Minimizing or Eliminating Suicide Triggers
The speaker advises reducing or eliminating triggers that may lead to suicide attempts, referencing Romans 13:14. This involves identifying methods of self-harm and making them as inconvenient as possible, such as storing medication out of reach. They stress the importance of taking every possible measure to minimize temptation, emphasizing that the stakes are life and death. The goal is to make it difficult to follow through with any suicidal plan, thus protecting oneself.
💪 Maintaining Physical and Mental Health

Highlights
After the rise of COVID-19, many countries have seen an increase in suicidal attempts.
I also struggled with suicidal thoughts and took about a year to fully recover.
Step 1: Rebuke Suicidal Thoughts in the name of Jesus.
John 10:10 - Jesus came to give life abundantly, while the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Every temptation to take your life comes from demons; it is a supernatural thought.
Humans are biological beings with an innate desire to preserve life.
Demons target the soul, aiming to steal, kill, and destroy.
Suicide doesn't just end a life; it also destroys the lives of those left behind.
Pray immediately when a suicidal thought enters your mind.
Step 2: Expose the darkness by telling trusted individuals about your suicidal thoughts.
Seek professional help if you are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Medication can be beneficial for some, but it's important to seek professional counsel.
Surround yourself with people who know your struggles and can help.
Step 3: Minimize or eliminate triggers that could lead to suicidal thoughts.
Step 4: Be healthy by exercising, eating healthy food, and getting sufficient rest.
Taking good care of your body helps reduce stress and can bring much-needed rest.
These four steps—rebuke suicidal thoughts, expose the darkness, minimize triggers, and be healthy—saved my life.
God wants you to live, and Jesus loves you.
Transcripts
after the rise of covid-19 I've talked
with a lot of people who struggled with
thoughts of suicide and have noticed
that many countries have had Rising
cases of suicidal attempts it was
actually just a few years ago when I
also was tempted to take my own life and
I would say that it took me about a year
to fully recover
in my journey I've learned how to combat
these thoughts and even though they come
back every now and then I'm able to push
them away with greater ease
so in this video I thought that I'd
share the four steps that saved my life
step number one the most important step
rebuke Suicidal Thoughts in the name of
Jesus John chapter 10 verse 10 the thief
comes only to steal and kill and destroy
I came that they may have life and have
it abundantly In this passage Jesus
explains how his people are likened to
sheep and how Jesus is the Good Shepherd
that protects leads and provides for
them he then explains how there are
robbers thieves and wolves whose purpose
is to steal kill and destroy the sheep
and what you need to understand is that
every Temptation where you desire to
take your own life comes from demons you
see us people we're biological beings
with an innate desire to preserve our
life our body wants to eat and sleep
because it wants to survive and a lot of
what we do as people is because of our
body's will to live so please understand
that when you have a thought to actually
really take your own life the thought
isn't a natural one but Supernatural
because your physical body actually
wants to live to continue people aren't
just biological beings they're also
Spiritual Beings with Souls inside of
them and this is what demons Target
their aim is to steal kill and destroy
and if they succeed in getting you to
take your life they will succeed in
stealing you away from your friends and
your family that love you and the
destruction of suicide doesn't end with
a single life that's killed it also
destroys the hearts minds and lives that
were left behind so when a suicidal
thought enters your mind know that it's
the enemy that is trying to kill you and
that enemy is too big for you to take on
by yourself you see demons are immensely
more powerful than we are so we can't
underestimate them because if we give in
to the temptation of murdering ourselves
and we succeed we don't get another
chance so immediately pray God save me
you want me alive I rebuke this demonic
thought in the name of Jesus
in the past I've also modified the
prayer to God save me God save me and I
would repeat this prayer until the
Temptation subsides also be able to pray
this prayer immediately because
sometimes when you're tempted you start
losing yourself your mind can be
overwhelmed and you can start crying and
then you start hyper focusing on the
thought of suicide so please learn to
pray immediately because in order to
have success winning in this battle for
your life
you need the god of Life who protects
life in your corner step number two
expose the darkness Ephesians chapter 5
verses 8 to 11 for once you were full of
Darkness but now you have light from the
Lord so live as people of light for this
Light Within You produces only what is
good and right and true carefully
determine what pleases the Lord take no
part in the worthless Deeds of evil and
darkness instead expose them Paul In
this passage explains the unique
characteristics of light and darkness
now this isn't literal lights or literal
Darkness but metaphoric so when he says
for Christians to live as people of
light he means for them to produce what
is good right and true and another key
characteristic of light is that it
exposes Darkness
so when you have a suicidal thought no
one understands that this is a dark
thought that needs to be brought to
light and be exposed
and the way you do this is by telling
trusted individuals of your Suicidal
Thoughts maybe this is a psychiatrist or
a therapist maybe a pastor or teacher
family members someone else that you
trust in addition to that I would
encourage you to find a local church or
contact a counselor in your region who
specializes in what you're going through
if right now you're struggling with
suicidal thoughts and there currently
isn't anyone in your life that can help
you your life is in danger and you need
to expose this Darkness immediately
another key to this step is to keep
exposing this Darkness until you get the
help that you need and you begin to see
steps of recovery not all of you
watching this will need a therapist but
some of you might and not all of you may
need to be medicated but there are some
occasions when medication will be
beneficial especially if your depression
actually causes physical changes to your
brain and since we're talking about
Medicaid I don't think they're for
everyone but for individuals whose
unique circumstances call for it I would
advise that you seek professional
counsel get second and third opinions
and know the side effects of whatever
substance you're putting into your body
I personally know Christians who are
completely against drug use and will not
take them and I know others who have
spent a lot of time in prayer choosing
the right medication in the correct
dosage so should the time come when
you're tempted to take your life first
you pray and ask God for help and then
you expose the darkness by surrounding
yourself with people who know your
struggles for you this may mean
confessing this struggle to multiple
people but please only confess this to
people who will take you seriously and
don't stop getting help until you see
your life improving do not just tell
your friends get help from professionals
or from people who have enough life
experience to properly lead you and then
start getting in the habit of
communicating with them as soon as you
start feeling tempted step number three
minimize or eliminate triggers Romans
Chapter 13 Verse 14 but put on the Lord
Jesus Christ and make no provision for
the flesh to fulfill its lusts Paul here
calls for believers not to make it
easier for them to sin so in this
context you need to look at how you
would harm yourself and then take steps
to minimize or fully eliminate anything
that could potentially trigger a
Temptation if the plan was to overdose
see if you actually need to keep that
medication in your house or store it
somewhere inconvenient or at a friend's
house the idea is to look at your plan
of suicide and to make it as
inconvenient for you as humanly possible
to succeed in that plan this is your
life we're talking talking about so
please do everything you can to minimize
the Temptation and step number four be
healthy First Corinthians chapter 3
verses 16 to 17 do you not know that you
are God's Temple and that God's spirit
dwells in you if anyone destroys God's
Temple God will destroy him for God's
Temple is Holy and you are that Temple
Paul here explains that Christians are
the new Dwelling Place of the Holy
Spirit which means the Holy Spirit
literally dwells within them and if
that's the case we need to take good
care of our bodies
and I found that when you take good care
of your body through exercise healthy
food and sufficient rest it helps reduce
stress and can bring your body much
needed rest for me I went outside more
I went on walks I made it a point to
talk to friends and I made exercise a
habit
so it helped me and I would encourage
you to do the same so all that to say if
you or someone you know struggles with
thoughts of suicide please utilize or
teach them these four steps rebuke
Suicidal Thoughts in the name of Jesus
expose the darkness minimize or
eliminate triggers and be healthy these
saved my life and I hope they can
protect yours
so ask God for help and protect your
soul your mind and your body may God
deliver more people from suicide and if
by chance you're watching this because
you struggle with suicide
I need you to know that God wants you to
live
and he wants you to know
Jesus loves you
