and you got lots of other options like

this sort of price point so the question

um well here's my indepth review and for

more on the latest and greatest Tech

the Galaxy s24 Fe is considerably larger

than previous Fan Edition PHS which is

somewhat distressing to someone who

prefers more compact devices like my

stubby fingered self it's actually got

the same screen size as the Galaxy s24

plus at 6.7 in quite the growth over the

previous 6.4 in and in fact you got some

reasonably chunky bezels especially down

here beneath the screen so the actual

dimensions are incredibly similar to

Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max which is a 6.9

in so yeah one-handed use here on the

Galaxy s24 Fe TS great although

thankfully the phone isn't uncomfortable

to clutch despite those flat iPhone

esque edges a situation that's probably

helped Along by the nice curvy corner

ow oh mate please do not stick your claw

in when you do that ow what did I

literally just say and the Galaxy s24 Fe

isn't just an absolute chuner it's also

a bit of a hefty bugger with a

considerable 213 G you'll certainly feel

it when it's lodged in your trousers

this right here is the light blue model

now absolutely coed in cat hair you can

also grab the Fe in mint yellow graphite

and gray I believe that last one is a is

exclusive and also possibly the most

boring option of the lot so I think

Curry's kind of got handed the end of

the stick on that one got a bit of Gilla

glass victus plus up front it is the

older Gorilla Glass 5 around back though

thankfully touch word no scratches or

scuff so far after a week of fairly

intense abuse I've literally had this

thing lodged in my pocket alongside the

iPhone 16 Pro Max for most of the week

and yeah so far it has survived

unscathed and you've got the full ip68

water indust resistance same as those

flagships so no worries if you

accidentally drop it in the bath in a

sink or something it'll be fine should

be fine give it a good to and off just

to be sure and certainly been more than

happy belting out a good bit of pirate

metal in the shower these past few days

and of course it's usual oneui Samsung

Shenanigans here on the Galaxy s24 Fe so

if you've used a Samsung fan you'll know

exactly what to expect here no

difference really from the rest of the

s24 series The a series stuff and oh yes

Samsung has absolutely stuffed this

thing full full of its own apps

including lots of stuff that you don't

really need cuz Android already provides

it so you've got another browser another

file explorer and another smart home

thing contactless payments Health Track

and all that stuff and most of these to

be perfectly honest I completely ignore

SL replace with Google's own versions

likes the Samsung keyboard get rid of

that immediately and replace it with a

vastly superior g board cuz seriously

Samsung's auto correct is like a broken

clock it's right about about two times a

day and the rest of the time it'sing

hopeless you've got a choice for 128 or

256 gigs of storage here sadly no room

for expansion via micro SD memory cards

you've only got a double-sided SIM tray

there you do have full eim support and

indeed it looks like next to none of the

flagship features have been C for The

Fan Edition here you got all the stuff

you'd expect including a good bit of

Samsung Dex action so you can hook this

up to a monitor or something basically

turn it into a sort of makeshift

computer on the go and oh yes of course

did you even have to ask you've got all

of the Galaxy AI Shenanigans stuffed on

here as well all those absolute bangers

from the s24 regular flagships so that

includes all the good stuff including a

bit of circle to search for instance

let's just do a search on my gorgeous

mug and it's basically just found lots

of other bald old Haggard looking men

and yeah you got the likes of The

Interpreter quite handy if you're

speaking with someone who does not talk

your language one of my absolute

favorites is definitely that browsing

assist feature you'll find this tucked

away in Samsung's internet browser and

it's pretty good if you come across an

article you really want to read but

you're really short on time you just

want a brief summary basically just give

that a tap hit summarize and there you

have it just a few bullet points on the

main bits that crop up in the article

and yeah it does occasionally miss out

on some key stuff but overall it works

delightfully well it is just a shame

that you can only get it on the Samsung

internet browser you can't get it in

Chrome and yes you've also got good old

Gemini slapped on here as well which I'm

a big fan of it's particularly handy if

you're in a unfamiliar town or city or

whatever and you just want an idea of

what's good to do there's any

particularly good beers that you can

pour down your throat in the local

vicinity so yes lots of smarty pants

Samsung is of course offering its full

seven years of OS updates and security

support here on the Galaxy s24 Fe so you

want it to Ho in the bin anytime soon as

I already banged on about before the

screen size has grown for this Fe model

so you've now got a 6.7 in whooping

great big Dynamic AMOLED 2x display so

the same Tech as those full fat

flagships the resolution has sadly been

scaled back a we bit versus the s24 plus

to just full HD so those visuals aren't

as satisfyingly sharp especially as this

is of course one pretty bloody massive

panel but it is hard to mourn about the

screen for anything else cuz like other

Sun screens it is dazzlingly vibrant

especially on the default color settings

got full hdr10 support in the likes of

Netflix there it's a lovely eye pleasing

contrast on the go and it's bright

enough to comfortably use even when Mr

Sunshine decides he's actually going to

show his face for a change the lazy git

and 120 HZ Refresh on here as well and

as for the audio well you got a Belton

stereo speaker setup let's just Pump Up

the Volume and check it out a week and

welcome to your uncle spt fresh new

studio the spurt hole 2.0 that's right

I'm no longer shooting my videos in an

old garage I've got an actual room now

with an actual booze cabinet proper Posh

lad so as you can hopefully hear there

pretty solid audio output loud enough on

that maximum volume to cut through all

kinds of background Shenanigans you got

a bit of Base action on the go there as

well certainly as far as smartphone

speakers are concerned does itself full

Justice now performance is often a

slightly PCH shading topic when you're

discussing Samsung phones certainly if

there's a bit of exus action stuffed in

there and that is the case here with the

Galaxy s24 Fe the brains of the

operation here is the exus

2400e with 8 gigs of lovely Ram stuffed

in there as well but please do not Ridge

quit this video I employ you not just

yet cuz the everyday performance has

been absolutely fine I found it's been

silky smooth more often than not apps

load up basically instantly multitasking

isn't a problem and Gamers should be

happy enough as well the likes of w and

waves the most intensive Android titles

out there can be played on the highest

Graphics level with everything switched

on and certainly with we and waves I

found the frame rate remains pretty

stable even after a proper fullon hour

of solid gaming some of the top bits of

the phone did get a little bit warm to

the touch while I was gaming but Samsung

has packed a slightly bigger Vapor

chamber into the Galaxy s24 Fe so this

phone does not get any hotter and that

performance STS pretty stable over time

of course the actual gaming Mode still

isn't fantastic you still have to access

this by swiping down the notifications

bar basically and give this a we tap

you've got the likes of the priority

mode which can just prevent you from

being disturbed you can check roughly

how much battery life you've got left

while gaming not very much longer left

at all a b of crack on you can take some

screenshots sh some video etc etc

certainly not as good as some Rivals

like the oneplus's the xiaomi the son's

Etc and out there you might have noticed

that there's not much battery remaining

in this bad boy as well that's cuz the

battery life unfortunately has been a

bit CAC you got a 4,700 milliamp

capacity cell in here which is smaller

than the 4,900 you get stuffed inside of

the s24 plus I was hoping the capacity

would be at least the same if not a bit

bigger and I found that on average this

delivers around 5 to 6 hours of screen

on time which isn't terrible but

certainly a couple of days this week

I've had to top this bad boy up before

going out in the evenings cuz I just did

not trust it to last the full night

until I was all tucked up with Teddy

however this being said I have found in

the past that sometimes when reviewing

Samsung smartphones the battery life

does improve after a week or two of

using it fulltime as it starts to learn

your habits maybe calls apps in the

background a bit more aggressively so I

don't know maybe The s24 Fan Edition

will get better in a week or two maybe

I'm just being hopelessly optimistic

because of all that booze I drank before

starting this video and unfortunately

charging does top off at a painfully

lethargic 25 watt so if you do need to

top this thing up make sure you leave at

least half an hour or so to charge it up

because otherwise you'll barely make a

dent full charge of this thing just

seems to take freaking forever we're

talking like Zack Schneider director's

cut lengths of time oh and you've also

got fast wireless charging support on

here as well is it fast is it but hey it

does charge without having to bug a

cable in it so that's something now what

about the Optics well you've got a

similar camera setup here to the regular

Galaxy s24 phones though some of that

Hardware has been switched up a bit you

wouldn't know there's been any changes

from loading up the camera because it

basically looks and functions exactly

the same as the regular Galaxy s24 got

all the usual camera modes bunged on

here that we know and love including a

bit single take got full- on dedicated

Pro mode if you do want to mess around

with the likes of the iso levels the

white balance Etc but but for the

purposes of test and I just left it in

the standard photo auto mode which most

people will do and I was generally

pretty happy with the results spaffed

out by that 50 megapixel main sensor you

get next to no flare and even when

dealing with severely bright lighting

and contrast is handled well albe it

within unnatural boosting of Darker

regions most of the time especially when

using that intelligent optimization has

24 f is definitely a bit of a crowd

pleaser just like those iPhones but

totens are generally quite true to life

if the lighting isn't all trouser some

more Vivid subjects do pop right off

that screen and some of the image

processing here is handled by Samsung's

fresh new Pro visual engine which is of

course powered by your great mate Ai and

this can help to sharpen and Spruce up

your shots for instance by reducing

grain in low light photography you'll

absolutely still see some grain in there

when you are shooting in moodly lit

environments and some of my test shots

did look a bit flat with decidedly

duller colors but others did come out a

lot better than I expected with a

surprising amount of finer detail

checked in you've also got yourself of

course a 12 megapixel Ultra wide angle

shooter this is absolutely fine and

dandy if you want to strike and shot

with similar processing to the regular

lens although it does falter in lower

light and you've also got yourself an 8

megapixel telephoto lens with three

times optical zoom you will notice you

can zoom in up to two times here in the

camera app that's just using the s24

fe's main camera sensor with a bit of

sharpening courtesy The Old Pro visual

engine again once you hit the three time

zoom that is when the telephoto lens

kicks in and you got some impressive

stabilization certainly when you hit

those higher Zoom levels those two-time

Zoom shots look pretty crispy and the

teleph lens works well up to roughly the

20 time zoom level and then I things do

generally get a bit more abstract and at

night time the results are once again

quite murky and grainy when you do zoom

in a bit and if you want to edit your

picks well as usual Samsung has slapped

on all of that smarty pants AI

Shenanigans so you can quickly highlight

a subjects you can touch and hold and

drag things around and make them bigger

or smaller and you could also just

randomly add stuff to a photo as well

and it'll magically appear in your

picture courtesy of that AI stuff

obviously within reason you can't just

add a giant penis monster to Any Given

foro sadly I have tried and yes you've

got good old portraits Studio as well to

turn yourself into a 3D Car 2 a comic

character I do love how Samsung's AI

seems to think that I'm about 60 bloody

years old already as for video well of

course as with the regular s24su can

shoot up to 8K resolution footage at 30

frames per second otherwise you got full

HD at 30 or 60 I mostly kept it at the

4K resolution and the results were as

likable as ever that stabilization is

good enough to handle moving at PACE

while Samsung's audio recording smarts

help to reduce any windin diggery when

you're shooting outdoors and you can

pretty smoothly zoom in and out while

shooting as well and when you're

watching back a video you can just tap

your finger on the screen and hold it

and it will slow it right down as you

can see there using AI to fill in those

frames can be a little bit borky at

times but usually works pretty bloody

well and then last up around front

you've got that 10 megapixel selfie

shooter and I'm not really a selfie fan

but this is again absolutely fine for

your simple basic sharable

though I certainly didn't get on with

that screen flash feature after having a

few shandies down the local Boozer and

there you have it my lovely that and a

deliciously nutshell is the fresh new

Samsung Galaxy s24 Fe Fan Edition is it

worth that

money and I know cuz the the regular s24

isn't far off this in fact sometimes you

see it on sale and it's basically about

this price I prefer that more compact

finish to it the battery life here

hasn't been fantastic and there are so

many big rivals around this price

including the freshly launched xiaomi

14t Pro so what do you reckon are you
