guys I want you to look at your screen
time after this imagine a normal screen
time what what would you say like around
3 4 hours a day that's probably normal
there are a lot of people that are at
the high end of like 8 hours or more a
day some people are at the lower like
one or two but let's just take the
average if you average 3 and 1 half
hours a day on your
phone for a week that's more than 24
hours so imagine spending 24 hours only
being on your phone and what that would
do to your brain okay and now let's say
that you are on your phone 3 and 1/2
hours for a month that's literally four
days that you're four whole days that
you're spending on your phone four whole
days imagine what you can do in four
whole
days take that into a year and that's
literally you're spending
48 days on your phone by just spending 3
and 1 half hours on your phone a day in
a year you've spent 48 whole days on
your phone so it's important that you
realize what you're doing on your phone
is having an effect on you if it's
having a good effect then good if it's
having a bad effect cut that out
man I'm serious I'm sick of this if you
are on your phone 3 and 1 half hours a
day by average in 10 years you will have
spent more than
480 days on your phone that's over a

you're not getting value out of it then

garbage that time is literally being

today's society is that people using

living life you're too busy watching
someone else live their life that you
don't actually take the time to go out

literally become start to become aware
of where your attention is is going how
you're spending your time because it's
our most valuable resource and if you
can start directing your time your
attention and your energy actually into
the things that are in alignment with
who you want to go if you can start
setting intentions for your life goals

by what life gives to you and how far
you can go because that is ultimately
what life is about life is meant to be
lived and experienced fully so don't
waste it by scrolling on your phone all
the time and how can you get around this
well you need to do a digital detox cuz
right now you're addicted your brain
will literally go through withdrawals if
you put your phone away for a week so

use a digital detto detox delete your
social media delete YouTube delete
Snapchat delete Instagram delete all of
that stuff digital detox put your phone
away only use it for something like
reading maybe even podcast maybe even
cut that out if you want but you need to
separate yourself and give your time
yourself time to lower your Baseline of
dopamine because right now you need so
much just to stimulate your brain just
to keep you focused and intentional on
something that the the simpler things
like reading a book like going for a
walk like just sitting and drinking
coffee those things don't bring you
satisfaction anymore because you're so
used to Frying your brain with all of
this excess stimulation so we need to
bring that down and that's what a detox
a digital detox does it allows you to
simplifier things you're going to be
bored for a while you're going to go
through withdrawals you're going to want
to go on your phone you're going to want
to scroll through social media nah go
outside go work out find something else
drink some water cook spend time with
your family find other things to bring
you satisfaction because once your
dopamine Baseline drops then you're able
to do more meaningful things with your
life you're able to read the book for
longer you're able to go dive in and
work on your computer and actually focus
on something and take in information
that you'll actually be able to
assimilate and use in the future rather
than just taking in all this information
and then never actually doing with like
anything with it and so do this for a
week but the ultimate goal is to not
just have it be like Oh I'm doing a
digital detox for a week no it's to make
this a way of life that you're no longer
giving your attention away to your phone
for free that you're using it
intentionally as a tool to help you and
serve you to get to where you want to go
rather than it distracting you and
taking you away from where you want to
go and you can do this by leaving your
phone in your car more you can leave it
in a different room you can create as
much space between you and your phone as
possible because that's one of the
number one things I've learned when
creating good habits and getting rid of
bad habits is you need to make more
friction take create more friction
between you and the bad habits that
means like setting a a a screen time
lock on your phone when you create when
you go past a certain number of minutes
your phone will lock you out or
something let someone else set the
passcode create more friction between
you and your phone set it in the other
room so instead of it going off and you
like just have to do this you have to go
all the way to another room and get it
that's more friction and create less
friction between the habits that you
want to create if you want to read more
put books all around you then it's so
much easier to just pick one up when you
have want to read a little bit and
ultimately guys there are a lot of ways
of doing this but the biggest thing is
the mindset and who you are and who you
want to become do you want to become
someone that's glued on to their phone
do you want to spend so let's think
about it if you spend a year on your
phone in a decade then in I don't know
maybe 50 years you're spending more than
5 years on your phone probably it would
be around seven or eight by then if I
did the math do you want to be the
person that spends a Whole Decade of
their life Glu to their phone or do you
want to be the person that goes out and
does things that lives in real life that
goes outside that connects with others
that spends time in nature that takes
their dog for a walk that spreads
positivity and love to everyone around
them that's who I'm trying to be and
that's why telling you guys this because
the world needs more people like this
the more the world needs more people
living in the real world not on their
phones I think the world will be a
better place if we can just get back to
what we're actually meant to do which is
