if you have adhd you have to understand
that even though it can
definitely make your life harder in
certain situations it can actually also
make your life
easier in others how stay tuned to find
out about the top five ways on how you
can use
your adhd to your advantage welcome back
guys to adhd vision where you can learn
how to work with
rather than against your brain so if you
have adhd
why don't you consider subscribing now
as you know
we are all about neurodiversity on this
channel and even though adhd is one of
the most prevalent brain chemistries in
the world
with estimates ranging from about five
to seven percent of the whole world
having it
about 95 of people in the world don't
have it
this means that generally speaking the
majority of people out there in the
world with a
normal brain chemistry will be able to
do certain things differently and better
than
us and because of the lack of awareness
surrounding adhd
most of the time we are expected to be
able to also
do these certain non-adhd things like
being organized
being attentive and being more thorough
and so on
and who can really blame them think
about it if you were in the 95
of something would you really care
enough to read about the minority group
that's represented with only five
percent
pump those numbers out those are rookie
numbers politically speaking even though
this percentage might land us a seat at
the table
we still wouldn't even be close to
having enough power
to influence society in a way that can
truly benefit us
this is why it is up to every single one
of us to learn about what it means to
actually have adhd
how our brain is different and how we
can use that information in today's
day and age because the truth is a
person with adhd
truly sees the world in a completely
different way than people without adhd
as
you will all know while for non-adhders
it is completely normal
and almost comforting to follow the same
routine every day
wake up for that 9-5 office job and
enjoy having those small talk
conversations about yesterday's weather
let's be honest we can be the complete
opposite
but that doesn't necessarily have to be
a bad thing now before we jump into it
as always
one of the best ways to start using adc
to your advantage is by actually being
able to remind yourself of those
strengths every day
which is why i created the advantage
clothing line ranging from different
types of shirts and hoodies
to even a stimulating coffee mug this
way you can be reminded of
all your strengths be sure to get
yourself your favorite piece on the top
right and get 20 off with the discount
code adhd vision
i gotta get me one of those all right
without further ado
let's jump into the top five ways you
can get your adhd to work
for rather than against you number one
and you knew this one was coming
keep hunting for that dopamine if you
have been following this channel for a
while
you will already know about why i
constantly bring this up
but for everyone who is new you better
subscribe and like
after i let you in on this one can we
reach 500 likes
now you don't have to be a therapist or
doctor to know that adhd is largely
defined by our brain not having enough
dopamine
which is the neurotransmitter in charge
of happiness motivation etc
this is one of the main reasons for why
we are constantly in search for the next
stimulating dopamine kick be it likes
over instagram
listening to some good ass music or
whatever else floats your dopamine boat
as i explained in my the adhd dopamine
solution video
this dopamine deficiency means that we
are a lot more inclined to go on
so-called dopamine hunts
that the average person doesn't really
go on now even though
that sounds like a bad thing people
forget that there are some
awesome healthy ways to get dopamine
like aerobic exercise for example
aerobic exercise like running has been
proven to be the best sort of exercise
for
dopamine so because we need that
dopamine a lot more than the average
person
your adhd could help you get into shape
for example on the other hand if you're
in a job
with monetary goals like sales this
deficiency will allow you to reach those
goals a lot faster
and in turn make you more money taking
this idea further
let's not forget that you don't need
anyone to set these goals for you
research has shown that being able to
take off goals of any sort
releases some nice dopamine for our
brains so whatever your personal goals
might be
if you said achievable short-term ones
for them
your adhd brain will not stop until you
get that dopamine kick
allowing you to essentially completely
transform your life
and make your dreams become a reality
every outsider who's ever been rejected
know
that their dream can in fact come true
now
something you guys often tell me in
regards to exercise is but nick my
dopamine is so low that i can't even
rile up the motivation
to even go running in the first place i
see your point
which is why i would recommend doing
this thing first thing in the morning
when you have just woken up
this will not only amazingly prepare you
for your day and get you into the best
mood possible
to have enough motivation to start on
all your other goals
but will also ensure that you don't have
time to procrastinate
just get out of bed sleep with your gym
clothes on if you have to
put on them sneakers and run my friends
number two
let your mind be free and creative now i
don't mean that you have to wake up
tomorrow and pretend to know how to use
a paintbrush
fun side fact i have always been
absolutely terrible at
art creativity is about more than just
art though it's about
how your mind works and draws
connections and what we have to
understand is that
our brain can work in wonderful random
and interconnected ways
to help us compose music make videos
think of ideas or yes okay
even be good at art we often jump from
one topic to the next
being able to think of some random
awesome that other people have to
consciously put
in effort to do the truth is for us
creativity can be the most natural thing
in the world
and be it if you're looking for a career
opportunity or you just want to have
some fun
you can most definitely use this
creativity to your advantage in lots of
different aspects of your life
fun side fact again this is why lots of
entrepreneurs like richard branson or
musicians like justin timberlake
actually have adhd just putting the
dishes
in the dishwasher it goes a long way
fellas you're welcome number three hyper
focus
our brain can be pretty ironic if we
aren't interested in something it can be
the most
difficult thing on earth to stay focused
and concentrated but
be it over that random 3am online
shopping spree or when playing your
favorite sport
once we engage into something that
inherently interests us
we're able to hyper focus on that thing
for hours on end drowning out everything
around us for example if you haven't
already noticed
my passion is definitely
self-improvement i can devour new
self-improvement audiobooks like no
tomorrow and usually completely lose
track of time
if you want to start using adc to your
advantage my advice to you
would be to find out what your passion
is and to start pursuing that passion
rigorously now because our brains love
deadlines what actually helps me to
kickstart my hyperfocus is when i put a
timer
in front of me i like to set it for 45
minutes put my binaural beat soundtrack
on which you can find on the top
right and just work towards that
deadline now people
always complain that they are lost
without deadlines well
luckily for you you can set them
yourself don't forget that you are the
master of your brain
again if you want to learn more about
the intricacies of hyperfocus and how
you can make it work
for you the video link is on the top
right number four
enthusiasm and energy extroverted people
with adhd are usually the life of the
party
always finding something new and fun to
do if you put them in an environment
where lots of things are new and
constantly changing
our brains are at their most stimulated
basically
in these environments we are rarely
boring people to be around which can
help with making friends
lifting up other people around us and
just overall having fun in life
where people without adhd usually get
too caught up in their own heads or
don't really know what to do
we can be that spontaneous energetic
person please let me know down below
in the comments if this is the same for
you but i only rarely
find myself ever being bored even if
it's something that i have already done
a thousand times
if i find it even remotely stimulating
i'm all here for it
number five we are not afraid to take
risks now the reason for why
i want to mention this one at the end is
because i believe this is one of if not
the best thing
about my adhd being able to take risks
is so essential
to get out of your comfort zone and
personally grow that this ability can be
the first stepping stone for lots of you
guys to realize your goals and dreams
we are simply a lot more likely to take
that plunge into darkness where we have
no idea what could come of it
and even though this sounds frightening
at first
because we are also in love with new
things we are usually also really fast
learners when it comes to moving to that
new city and being all alone
quitting that job to pursue that side
hustle and so on believe me this can be
your greatest
asset i'm amazing i amaze myself
that's it for this video guys thank you
so much for watching be sure to get
yourself a shirt and or hoodie here
let me know down below how you are
currently using adc to your advantage
and check out these related videos if
you haven't already i will see you again
next week on tuesday till next time guys
