the search bar just hit enter once you
click in there and once you do that
click on companies
now you'll see there are about 58
million 700 000 companies on linkedin
in some way or another
some of them are highly used company
pages some of them are very dormant some
of those pages were created by linkedin
years ago as placeholders for people who
said they worked at a company that there
was no company page but still there's 58
million 700 000 companies listed on
linkedin now how do we search for them
for you can look by location you look
for regions and cities and
states and countries
you can look in industries as
all the associated industries that
linkedin has created in here so you can
choose any one of those industries to
look
you can also look for company size you
can look for this is by the way this is
just in linkedin company size a search
additionally you click on all filters
and not only location industry and
company size but you can look for
companies that have jobs listed and you
can look for companies where you have a
first level connection that means you
are connected to someone who lists
themselves as being an employee of that
company
so you can do this all different types
of ways
and search for all different types of
companies based on these five filters
and you can slice and dice this any way
you want to be able to do the research
the prospecting or whatever your purpose
is for searching for those companies by
the way a tip never click on something
in the search results if you're in the
search results window always right click
and open in a new tab that way your list
stays right here and you come back to
your list and work it again
